Queen Miranda, Mistress of Evil

  The story behind this is that when Halloween rolls around, on the third year of her being queen, Miranda decides that she really wants to dress up this year for Halloween, because she hasn't yet since coming to the palace. Back in the village she always used to dress up as a villain, but she was not sure if that was still acceptable now that she had become queen. Of course, as soon as she mentions this idea to her family, they told her that they thought it was a fantastic idea, and she should go for it! In fact, maybe she should even “take over the Kingdom” for Halloween (A.K.A. themed Halloween party where she's in charge)! So she made her own costume and the rest is history.

  Wormwood can't talk yet at this point in time, but everyone could tell that he wanted to be her evil sidekick for Halloween, so he's acting as Diablo to her Maleficent. (Even though he knew this whole thing was fake, Wormwood still very much enjoyed this because Maleficent is his favorite villain of all time and Miranda is surprisingly good at acting in character).

So for one week of the Discord weekly challenge, the prompt was “Night On The Town,” so that inspired me to make these sketches & a drawing, and a tiny fanfiction. Where together, Victor and Ixlan went out for a night on the town, (since he hadn't been out for this kind of stuff for around 9 months, and she hadn't been out for something like 3009 months.

 -First, they both rode horses through town, Ixlan was both excited and nervous about this (although that was hard to tell from just looking at her). Victor helped her with horse riding tips, and then later she helped him not get captured by a group of citizens who remembered this face from a wanted poster. The horses got pretty scared by that event, so they decided to go to Doña Paloma’s Emporium and leave them with her. She could return them to the palace later. They could just continue on foot for the rest of the night. (I'm assuming by this point they’ve probably met the whole Grand Council).

-After they dropped off the horses at the emporium, Doña taught Ixlan about different kinds of fans and which one is the best to buy, while Victor tried out every accordion in the emporium as loudly as possible. He eventually found one that he liked (which also happened to be the first one he'd actually picked up and tried out) and bought it. (Don't worry, Elena had given them some money beforehand). 

-Then they went out for dinner and drinks at Cafe Angelica, (Since Julio had recommended it to them). Afterwards they walked back through the city playing music, Victor on his new accordion and Ixlan on her Tambor Trueno. 

-At the end of the night they rode the Hydro-Gondola back to the palace, although Ixlan rode it a bit differently than intended (by siting on the roof on it). Victor not-so-calmly asked her why she was doing that, and she replied, “I can see the stars much better from up here.”

That’s an amazing chart you have of everybody’s tomborita colors! Though would Victor and Carla’s tamborita colors have changed since they now practice good magic instead of dark magic?

      Thank you! And about their magic colours, well we cannot truly know for certain.      The only spells that we see them do after they switch to good magic is that sparkly flourish spell they cast along with Gabe and Mateo at the end of The Lightning Warrior, and the spell that Victor cast in the finale at Ash. For the first one, I don't think it really counts towards showing their true magic colour because some spells like Conglari are always the same colour no matter who casts them, and that was probably one of those kinds of spells (I mean none of them even had to say anything before they cast it so it was probably just for show).       The spell that Victor does in Coronation Day is still that dark blue/purple colour that he normally uses (Although out of all the tamborita users his colour seems to be the one that fluctuates the most). But we never got to see Carla cast another spell so we can't really be sure whether it was just a coincidence or not.

     In my personal opinion though, I headcannon that they stayed the same. I like to think that there aren't really any colours that truly mean good or evil. It’s how the person decides to use their own magic, whatever color it may be, that makes it good or evil.

A while ago me and @lieutenant-amuel Talked about how since Gabe and some of the other guards know magic now, maybe they should get more ‘wizard robe-like’ uniforms. I started designing it but then I realized “I could add a whole bunch of other things to this is well!” And I ended up with this.

Here's an explanation of some of my redesign choices: -Rank insignia.  I'm using a system of Pips because I am a Star Trek nerd. But instead of circles or diamonds, they are five petaled flowers, since that symbol is on the emblem for the show as well as a few banners in Avalor.

-Royal guard badge. So that everyone can tell he's a royal guard of Avalor.

-Tamborita badge. Above his left pocket you can see a small golden tamborita. Gabe and any other guards trained in magic would have this to signify that they have been specially trained in magic.

-Pockets. Because pockets are amazingly useful and every modern military uniform has them, so I just decided to throw them in as well.

-Longer coat. To make the outfit look a little bit more wizard like.

-More gold. Well, it's not actual gold, but gold colours look really good with red and blue, so I just had to add it.

So since you said I can still take a request and you said you kinda know about this show, how about Zee Zatara bonding with her dad? Maybe something with cooking and/or magic?

On the planet Ahch-To, Jedi Master Mateo travels to find the first Jedi temple. He takes his Padawan, Olivia with him. On the way she gets to meet some of the planet's native wildlife.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s been thinking about the ramifications of Victor being a statue for a year. Victor and Ixlan missed out on so much in their own lives and the lives of their loved ones. This will probably take time to process, and they would be abl to empathize with each other in a way that everybody else wouldn’t. I like your idea of Victor and Carla developing relationships with others. For Carla, I think Naomi might be an interesting dynamic. And Elena too.

Oh definitely, I agree. I can only imagine how shocked he must have been when he learned that it hadn't just been days but months since he'd last been conscious. And we don't even know if Ixlan was unconscious the entire time she was locked away or not but she'd most likely been locked away for at least a couple hundred years so that would take some getting used to. Not to mention that Ixlan missed the deaths of all her loved ones too. Well except for the Sunbirds anyway. I guess Elena and the royal family would also be able to empathise but the problem is they do seem to have some tension with them that Victor and Ixlan wouldn't have with each other (seeing as it’s mentioned outside the show that Ixlan is a princess and that means her family used to be the royal family).

Yes, give Carla all the relationships! It would be interesting to see, considering everything, especially the whole spy in the palace thing, because we know how Naomi and Elena can both be quite forgiving so I’m sure they’d become friends, even if it takes a while. Naomi and Carla could make snarky remarks about things to each other, and I imagine that Carla could be a pretty good sparring partner for Elena.
