ok i put on my dorky lil light-up vest & went for a long walk with my thermos of tea in the gloaming & saw the ocean (<3) & a bat (!) & sang deh placatevi con me & nur wer die sehnsucht kennt quietly to myself, & now i'm home again & nefret cat is lying in my lap like a warm heavy sandbag & purring—

in a bit i'll probably go get in the wet box & then reheat the last of the curry mee we made earlier in the week, & all manner of things shall probably in fact be well, actually!

(as a compulsive sourcer, i feel compelled to note that this is apparently the chapel choir of pembroke college, cambridge, conducted by anna lapwood, and that in 2020 they released an album called 'all things are quite silent' which includes this track and also a bunch of other really gorgeous pieces like elizabeth poston's setting of 'jesus christ the apple tree' my eternally beloved <3)

went 4 a run / saw a snail & a red-winged blackbird & a tufted titmouse / cut off some more hair / showered / am now back in my trusty armchair flopping the flop of the virtuous, with a Beverage on one side & a Cat on the other (well ok technically she's up behind my shoulder lounging on the increasingly-squashed back of the chair, like a very lazy angel or parrot).

also. watched some of the new wot earlier and it really is wild to like. find something visually and narratively very enjoyable while also feeling absolutely zero interest in finding out what fandom is doing about it. like this show is full of very beautiful people of all ages and i just. i don't need fandom to bang them together. i don't need the showrunners to bang them together. i had fun watching as much as i watched and you know what i want to do about it? watch more soon.
