TO EVERYONE SAYING THEY'RE INSECURE ABOUT THEIR WRITTING:
I've been seeing a lot of people reposting their insecure about their writting and its really sad because ik for a FACT most of you write BEAUTIFULLY. So I just wanted to send some motivation because writting is hard, and writers deserve love. You guys are literally creating ENTIRE REALITIES with your imaginations . Wether it be fan ficts, short story writers, etc., You are giving us a key into experiencing the world from a different perspective. Your craft is an escape, your craft is inspiring. Its always good to want to be better, but please appreciate the work you're doing RIGHT NOW. It may not seem like much, but your stories are so much more than just words in a page. Its the adventure we never experienced, its the worlds we never got to see. Writers please, whatever you write, I want to assure you today it IS good enough. Because you bled your thoughts into the page, because you were brave enough to create. Writting doesnt have to be perfect, for perfection is nothing but a myth, writting just needs to exist. Insecurity is normal but let me tell you today, your writting is worth it, your ideas are worth it, your work is worth it.
Writers, keep your heads high, continue to poor your soul into your words and know you never have to punish yourself for creating

Write for yourself. No, this approach is not selfish. Write for yourself because you need to fall in love with your story. You will have to edit this thing, you will have to rewrite some parts, you will have to work on it. If you don’t like it, you won’t find enough motivation to finish it. Don’t write for the market, write for yourself.
One of the biggest problems writers face is the lack of motivation to continue or finish their projects. For me personally, it’s the number one reason why I give up writing something. Losing interest is a problem that can be fixed, however.
I came up with this guide to refer to when you’re wondering how to motivate yourself. Remember, there are reasons why you might want to skip out on a project, but you should try getting yourself excited about your work first. Here are a few things to do when you’re lacking motivation:
Make plans for the future – try to figure out what the next step in your story is going to be.
Overanalyze your characters – it’s better to know too much about your character than not enough.
Think on your feet – don’t be afraid to go in an unexpected direction.
Invent new ideas – if you’re stuck, look at something from a new angle
Visualize your characters – try casting your novel in your head
Anticipate what will come next – when you’re done for the day, figure out what you’ll tackle next
Try something new – introduce a new character or explore a different subplot
Invite other writers in – get together with writer friends and brainstorm, in person or online
Organize your outline – don’t forget to revisit your outline from time to time and reorganize
Never forget your goals – write them down and put them somewhere you can see every day

You don’t have to have an english/literature/creative writing degree to magically make you worthy enough to try. Many published authors just picked it up after their day jobs, did it for a hobby. If they can do it, you can as well.
No one can stop you unless you let them, yours is the only opinion that should matter. So write your fanfiction, your novella, short story, screen play, or novel. Don’t give a damn about what the naysayers believe. Be fucking proud of every word you put down on the page (yes, even horrible rough drafts) because you’re amazing.

reread your old writing
reread the scenes you’re most proud of
write something silly. it doesn’t need to be logical, or something you in your story. write something dumb
compare your old writing to your current writing. seeing how much you’ve improved can be very motivating
create AUs for your stories! explore storylines that otherwise never would make it into the story, but you would like to play around with
choose one of your least favorite scenes and rewrite it
act out your scenes
read old comments from people praising your work
create a playlist for your wip
team up with a friend, create AUs for each other’s stories
create playlists for your characters
draw your ocs/make memes of your ocs
draw/make memes of your friend’s ocs
don’t push yourself to get back into writing the thing that made you stop in the first place, you can always write something else!
write what you want to write, no matter how cliché it might be. it's okay
take a break, focus on another hobby of yours. consume other sources of media, or take a walk to clear your head
no need to write in chronological order if it isn’t working for you!
read bad reviews of books/movies/tv-shows. you will start appreciating your own writing more
create a new storyline, or introduce a new character! anything that helps bring something fresh into your story. could even be a completely new wip!
not writing every day doesn’t make you a bad writer. take a break if you feel like you need one
remind yourself to have fun. start writing and don’t focus too much of your attention on following ''the rules.'' you can get into the nitty-gritty when you're more familiarized with writing as an art. or don’t. it’s fiction, you make your own rules
get some rest. go to sleep, take a nap!
remember why you started. know that you deserve to tell the story you want to tell regardless of the skill you possess
you don’t need to write to be successful, and you don’t need to write for other people. it’s ok to write because you think it’s fun, and to keep your writing to yourself. you don’t need to be good at it, or learn every single rule there is. if it makes you happy, then what’s enough.
