i made this to originally take place during the Koto trial in Nuru's kingdom, but not i'm not so sure. i feel like they would've already had Nuru on the team during this (i can see her helping Hugo and arranging it to Varian wears a suit that semi-matches). i would love to see an animatic/storyboard of the two of them dancing together <3

i can make a lofi, background song if u want to make the animatic ;3 (kinda like the song "Over You" from Helluva Boss tee hee)

So I'm not sure if we've all agreed on this or not, but I think it's generally accepted in the Vat7k fandom that Ulla was around 16-20 when she started the trials (collage/high school years). Also, we know that she met Quirin in the Dark Kingdom and then had a kid with him.

She was definitely over the age of consent, which means that she was probably 20-22 when she had Varian, making her around 20 years older than him (38-40 in Vat7k).

Donella was probably a year or two older, making her 21-23 years older than Hugo, around 39-41 (most likely 39 or 40).

So these badasses aren't even old. Hell, they're probably younger than your mother ToT

I personally think that Ulla was/is 38 and Donella's 39.

Edit: I just mean this as a 'what if' kind of headcanon. I'm not saying I think it's canon, or that it would've been, but I just think it's cool that there's a possibility. Also, someone pointed out that she has grey hair. Uhmmm Ulla and Momella were at the Eternal Library, so there's a chance it had some sort of aging spell in it (Varian also got possesed by his mother who looks 18, so she might not have aged much either 🥲)

Vat7k news!

Good news! During an interview with Kay Hayes, they announced that they're working with a new indie animation production studio; Zarianimation to make Varian and the Seven Kingdoms a reality on Youtube! She and Anna are working on episode one now, and is set to release, along with three other episodes, in August!

Since Disney isn't associated with the show, they can make it as dark (or gay 💅) as they want!

New Era - a Tangled Fan Comic

   “New Era” Is a collaborative Varian-centric fan comic set 10 years after the finale, featuring Moon!Varian and plenty of content to fill the Varian-shaped void in our hearts!

   “What if Varian had the power of the moon in him all along, but was never able to unlock it? What if, 10 years after the battle with Zhan Tiri, the moon awakes again, calling to him? What if he has no choice but to answer?”

   A few Things we have in store for this comic include, but are not limited to: -Moon!Varian (of course) -New Dream child -Answers about Varian’s mother -Quirin just being Quirin -good ol’ Brotherhood content + more!

   Posting schedule will be one page every Sunday, release date TBA! Follow for (non spoiler) concept art, updates and more!

   I hope you’re all as excited as I am and don’t forget to stay hydrated!

Hello, Tangled the Series Fans!

   We are Project OBSIDIAN (PO), a group fan-project working on expanding Varian’s story. We are creating a Varian-centric fan comic to explore questions not addressed in the series, starting with season 1 and running until the end of season 3. Our plan is to take concepts and work with ideas that fit in-canon to explore his character to its fullest degree.      We will be breaking the project into episodes or chapters, each being a maximum of 24 pages in length as well as short 9 panel strips. Our primary mission of this project is to allow Tangled the Series fans to have a voice in this character and to have fun with helping him grow to his fullest potential!       OCs may be included as cameos, and AUs may be explored where applicable, whether that be through dreams, visions, or thoughts. Any ideas brought forth are reviewed by everyone on the project, and all feedback is appreciated!   Thank you for reading this far!  We look forward to working with you all in the future! Just two teenagers and their pets on a small trip and enjoying the change of scenery! I wrote a little something to go along with the artwork too x3

“Clarissa notices a glint in Varian’s eyes, and a mischievous smile playing at his lips. This leaves her confused, until he pulls up a rose in his right hand; showing it off to her. Clarissa lightly gasps at this. The rose in itself is beautiful, its leaves a lovely shade of crimson. But it’s the the fact that Varian thought of giving her something as beautiful as a rose that makes the girl smile and blush.

Clarissa giggles, which causes Varian’s cheeks to blush as well, a warm shade of pink spreading across his face as his once mischievous grin turns softer. Clarissa gratefully accepts the flower, taking it from Varian’s hands to look at it further. It’s probably one of the prettiest roses she’s ever seen. Afterwards she leans up to give the alchemist a kiss on the cheek as a sign of her gratitude. 

Varian’s eyes widen slightly when he feels her hand on his right cheek and her soft lips pressed against his left. It was only for a moment, barely lasting for a second, but it was a moment that made him blush harder and afterwards chuckle to himself. The sound of his dorky laugh made Clarissa laugh too, before she decided to lean her head against Varian’s shoulder. The boy hesitated a bit at first, but eventually decided to wrap his left arm around the girl’s waist, pulling her closer and resting his head on top of hers as they both gazed upon the scenery before them.”

took me longer than id have liked but i finally finished this outfit that @luescris designed for her “Four Pillars” AU!!!!!! my favorite thing about her design is how subtle the differences are? it still feels very varian but it has a sense of… having given up on duties almost  ;3

For the third week of tangledtober I wanted to draw a pic to @nyxglitch and mine Vamparian AU where Varian is bitten by a elder vampire. This old vampire is able to take over control if it wants to 💔💔💔
