gameplay pics with ocs
i've been thinking about getting a new, more or less powerful laptop/PC that could handle modern games (at least some of them), but also TS2 with 12 gigabytes of CC ofc lol. i would also want to use it for video/audio editing as well.
could anyone recommend something? or just tell me what kind of laptops/PCs you guys have, i'm just curious 😶
(goes without saying that my budget is limited haha. most recommended laptops i've seen online have been around €2k, which is definitely too much for me. and idk where to even start when it comes to building my own PC...)
some time ago, i'd sent these old pics to a friend, who then told me to watch Severance... so i did.
i remember feeling anxious about doing so, bc it seemed like i'd get too attached to this show – the stills from it looked like my maladaptive daydreams projected onto the screen. but it turned out being not what i expected it to be (still great tho). yeah. & i did get engrossed in that world for a while lol.
anyways (⊙_⊙;) good show i recommend

full OST + download (uploaded by the composer) here, image from here
a shoeswap & recolors of this extremely cute outfit by @executables-sims, + a PSD for the shoes! download and info are under the cut ↓
(i'm putting downloads under the cut in case something is borked and needs updating, btw. excuse my super long description for something so simple, feel free to scroll down for the actual download link)
this version of the outfit doesn't conflict with the original one. the shoes have been taken from afBodyTourGuide, and i edited the texture slightly. the changes aren't too impressive, but i'm sharing the PSD, just in case. the highlights/soles are easily recolorable via a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer, and included is the UV wireframe overlay.
i also added the watch from the same tour guide outfit, just for the hell of it (3 different textures across 6 swatches). then i've realized not everyone will be into that, so there's a version without the watch too. the Watch and NoWatch versions use the same packages though, so choose only one.
please let me know if there are any issues. this has been tested in the game, but it's my first ever shoeswap after all!
compressorized, tooltipped; thin and fat morphs, just as the original.
big thanks to @platinumaspiration for helping me along the way, couldn't have done it without them <3
if you're like me and you love taking screenshots in hood view, especially with ReShade, you've probably been annoyed by that one UI panel at the top that never disappears in tab mode (aka cameraman mode)...
...but it turns out that if you modify one game file, you'll be able to bring up a window called Sims2 UI Browser, which allows you to hide/unhide any UI elements. no more cropping neighborhood view screenshots!
you can find out how to turn on Sims2 UI Browser here.
the process requires modifying the GlobalProps.xml file, and it's basically the same thing you'd do to use the allMenus cheat, but Sims2 UI Browser isn't related to that. the cheat will become available to you after this though, but you don't need to turn it on in the console, so it won't affect your gameplay.
after modifying GlobalProps.xml your game will automatically start with boolprop testingcheatsenabled on, so be sure to disable them if you're forcing errors on everything with the batbox.
another thing: when testingcheats are on, you get that game version number in the right upper corner of the screen, which might be a problem for screenshots as well. i'm using RPC, which i believe (correct me if i'm wrong) hides that text, because i currently don't have it in my game. but i think you might be able to hide it with Sims2 UI Browser as well.
but anyway, here is the UI element you actually need to hide:
after that, it's gone until you turn it back on, or load a lot and come back to the neighborhood view. here's an unedited (but reshaded) screenshot, taken in hood view tab mode:
have fun! but be careful with modifying game files 😉
yay, it's live! once again, sorry this took so long, and thank you for your patience and kindness, Nikki! you're the best 💕
oh also the swatch can be seen here
@valhallansim Coverage Tattoo Overlay Box
Please show some love to @userdata! They not only designed this awesome preview and made the swatch but spent hours and hours working to perfect this set for you all. I quite literally couldn't have done it without them! And the thought wouldn't have existed without @uberville's suggestion 😀
There are 5 options, each with 2 different styles: cartoon & realistic, all within one box. You can find the poster in misc> misc.
Any issues, please let me know. (original)
...a sleep-deprived interior from yesterday.
preset under the cut ↓
i'll add the list of effects later, sorry. this preset uses RTGI, but will look pretty cool without it too. i also suggest turning on PD80_04_Technicolor.fx:
[made with ReShade 4.9.1]
random edit. decided to give clay hairs a try (this one is here btw)
might as well share this preset ↓
[made with ReShade 4.9.1]
NightBokeh.ini has two types of DOF – CinematicDOF and ADOF.
CinematicDOF creates elliptical bokeh, ADOF creates hexagonal bokeh, and there are some other differences between them too. choose the one you like more, not sure how they look together. ADOF is disabled by default.
also, the effects highlighted in green might get doubled (if you have every available shader installed); if that happens – disable the second instance of each of these (cuz the effects will look too strong).
psst, if you're looking for my other presets i've shared before ("CityPortrait.ini" and "DesertHood.ini"), they're here (SFS) or here (GDrive).
an Art Deco/Streamline Moderne attempt (4k image here)
no backstory or residents yet, i'm open to suggestions
some trivia nobody asked for:
this is the first time i'm using SRWE and RTGI, exciting
the pic is still heavily edited in Photoshop; i tried to give the windows fake reflections, but they came out meh
these pictures actually show the interior of this building, only i changed it up a bit for the exterior edit
maybe i should rebuild this lot to actually share it... it's kind of embarrassing that all i do is post pictures lol
Hi there! Could you perhaps tell me where to find some things in your excellent Curious house makeover? (1) Greenhouse roof (2) Dry-erase board (3) Glass block windows and doors (4) In-wall fans, especially the big one in the yellow attic wall.
hey!
decorative conservatory roof pieces are part of the Feverfew release by Criquette. they pull textures from the Seasons greenhouse roofs, i'm using these defaults by shastakiss
the whiteboard is a 3t2 conversion by Veranka
the chalkboard is a Castaway conversion and i don't remember where I got it exactly, but this upload of Castaway items by meetmetotheriver seems to be the most recent
i hope those are the windows/doors you were referring to? they're actually shoji-like! i got them from shastakiss with recolors, here
the big industrial fan is by Cyclonesue
got those smaller fans from PineappleForest + more recolors here :)
loaded the game with a nearly empty downloads folder to test something but got distracted and made this :/
at least in this case i can quickly list all the content used (bc it's great and why not!) ↓
neon mug & vertical neons
fallout 4 walls & floors
brick walls, cornices, window
wine bottle
paper grocery bag
thank you~♡
some inconsistent images of The Curious Hill. inspired by this observatory (pics: 1, 2)
the house went through SO many transformations... i really wanted to keep at least one tower, but it looked bad in hood view, so i swapped it out for an unrealistically planted tree to simulate that feeling of height. what kind of style this is? no idea. ts2 brutalism? or just a bunch of boxes. as i tried to make the area look similar to that observatory, i wanted the actual lot to blend in with the hood deco, while still looking as absurd as the original house. those improved lot impostors available with RPC are such a blessing! (even if the pic is still retouched lol)
bonus close-up:
2 Cover Up Road’s living room. had to snatch that pizza slice out of Lazlo’s hands
2 Cover Up Road's (Vidcund's?) indoor garden
Last day of Easter holidays was very productive. I thought that I need some Polish touch in my BACC. I sat down and built my new flats.
It's not the building in pastel colors like the one where I'm currently living as a human, not Sim version of myself but I think it gives ✨Polish vibes✨
On the background there is a small playground. In Poland they are mostly in front of the building but I didn't plan it too well so...
I didn't furnish the apartments because I thought that furnishing 24 units would kill my soul so it's up to you how the interior will look like. I only left lightning in halls and some garbage chutes.
On every floor in every block there are two apartments with two bedrooms and big living room and one apartment with one bedroom.
The floorplan:
I didn't know what to do with the back of the building so it just looks like that:
And how the whole hood look like:
My BACC looks better and better.
Anyway, grab the new download.

My sims from BACC missed a place where they can go on date, eat delicious food and just spend time eating. I thought that maybe I should build them some restaurant.
I present you "The Basil". It's industrial restaurant but I think inside cold, brick walls your sims can find warm, cozy atmosphere.
On the entrance you have few tables and in the nook you can find a bar and coffee bar.
On the left there is a kitchen from which you can go into bar area.
And in the corner you have a bathroom with little nursery. I'm not sure if in TS2 you can take a toddler to restaurant but I think it's a nice sign that it's a family friendly restaurant.
On the first floor there is a mezzanine with tables.
The floorplan:
Enjoy!

Recenty I've started my brand new BACC called Misty Hills. The neighbourhood is still decorated because I'm not good at it.
For now I have 7 families and all of the founders married townies.
Here's the moment of Grzegorz Kolec (Greg Spike in English) proposing to Kaylynn Spitzig.
They got married in the garden with the beautiful view.
I love how Greg looked at Neil Cameron with disgust.
They already have three children: Janina, Cezary and Łukasz. I'll post photos of them later.
I must say I have so much fun with building my own city and looking forward to stories that will happen.
Also I forgot to show you my old build from the first BACC. Would you be interested to see the floorplan and download it?
I tried to fix it once again and finally I have apartments! It had to be modular stairs to the garden or second driveway. I'm not sure but after a lot of pain I finished this building.
My inspiration were modern row houses in Poland now. I truly hate real estate developers but it's my tribute to their idiotic house building in the middle of nowhere like here, for example:
So I present to you my White Posh Houses, only 4120 simoleons in rent.
I had some problems with roofs so I just left it like that. I'm sure developers wouldn't mind.
The back is empty so you can place whatever you want here. At least I created some space you can enjoy. Not like here:
The floorplan looks like that:
So in the basement there is a bedroom (maybe) and two rooms that look like bathrooms but I thought than one could be a laundry room. There is a corridor so your sims can go outside and cherish their garden.
The entrance leads to big kitchen and dining room and on the back you can havbe living room and some office space. You have also small bathroom and doors to garage for one car.
On the highest floor is master bedroom and a huge bathroom. I think I was really crazy with those measurements but I don't mind if you add some walls in your game.
Download: SFS
I hope all CC is included.
Enjoy!
I've built it!
But I can't change it to apartments :(
I tried everything with invisible fences, deleting custom garage doors, nothing works for me.
Is there someone who can help?
I can even share this built so someone can look at it.
It's this part of the week.
Finally grabbing a beer and thinking: "I should build row houses."
Found the inspiration, started a game, fighted constrain floor elevation aaaaaaaand it's gone.
Just after save my game crashed.
At least I took the screenshot right before saving. So I present to you... House That Never Existed
Trying again tomorrow...
After David Ottomas' death, Justyna, his eldest daughter from the first marriage, agreed to stay in home with her husband and take care of step-siblings until Marek reaches teen stage.
It was the morning of his birthday. Whole family ate breakfast together and had a little chat about the plans. Justyna already knew she's pregnant so she announced it and told that they will move after party.
Marek invited all his friends and blew the candles. He's a teenager now, family aspiration. He wants to become a super hero so right after party, he found a job in law enforcement. I'm proud of him. He will now have a tough job to take care of his little sister, Waleria.
Justyna and Shea moved to rented house. They can't afford buying now but they need more place for the baby.
They have now the son, Mikołaj Johnston!
After few days Justyna reached the top of the army career so she wanted to be a chef now. She changed the job and maybe she earns less now but at least she has a fun in reaching the goal.
Mikołaj also had birthday.
He lost his mind (head) over it.
Gertruda Gavigan finally had her birthday.
The Ottomas genes are so strong, I can't.
And it turned out that Mirosława is pregnant again.
She really wanted to have a second baby with Kamil. It was so easy to achieve.
She gave birth to twins, Lech & Jarosław, which was a big surprise because no one expected two boys. Unfortunately I don't have the photos of them but trust me, they look like babies.
Not long after the birth of the boys, I see that again.
OMG!
You can't even wait one day, can you?
Anyway, Ottomas genes are strong and trying to run in almost every family now. I think one day Goths and Landgraabs will lose the power in the city.
P.S. It's a boy! Welcome Kazimierz!
I think Samatha would be proud of her kids, creating 12 grandchildren! Mirosława leads the ranking, for sure.
Barbara and Ernest are children now so they could meet in the Picaso's house. She wanted badly to meet also her grandma, Jessica. Behavior of Hiacynta was problematic but Ramaswami family thought it would be cruel to cut the child from the normal side of the family.
It looks like they really like each other!
Meanwhile Paulina and Miłosz decided to have another baby.
"It would be nice to have a girl."
"I just hope it will be healthy."
On the next evening they welcomed a son, Norbert Ottomas!
But the happiness didn't last long. Jessica Picaso unfortunately reached last day of her life, jest right after sitting on the toilet. Life is a great mystery.
At least she died with platinum aspiration.
