it's okay haha, one thing I love more than touyas body horror is everyone's reaction (mainly enji and rei's bc that's their son-) to the extent of it bc just imagine the heartbreak, the horror, the guilt, the ache ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡ I love it here lmao idm the derail in topic ♪ヽ(´▽｀)/
and yeah. the fact that all endeavor could find was his part of his jaw. dawg my HEART.
yk the scene where dabi reveals himself and endeavor is literally going thru it all over again. when I was watching it, all I could think of was the heartbreak, the confusion, the denial, it's all THERE. this man is going over every little detail of sekoto peak after his son's 'death'. every possible detail that could've indicated touya's survival, what did he miss ? could he really have saved his son ? could he have saved his family from the grief ? could he have saved more than a fragment of touya's jaw ?
maybe he could have. the same son that he was just starting to believe to be dead is now right in front of him. that outcome was possible in another universe. and doesn't that hurttttttttttttt enji, omy gosh none of them deserve this
it makes me wonder if enji was ever close to discovering touya's body. as in, he's a pro hero and that's his son, so enji wasted no time in running into the forest. but the fire was 2000°c !!! touya's flames are wayyyy hotter than enji's, and sure, enji has more resistance but it doesn't mean that he's immune to the effects of fire.
imagine, the smoke clinging to his lungs, causing him to heave. the ash making his eyes water and his vision blur. the unmistakable smell of burning flesh. none of this is easing his worry. there's no sign of touya anywhere. all that he can hear is the blaze of the inferno that's taking his son away from him. and isn't it deafening (;´-｀)
imagine that in all of his panic and distress, enji misses touyas corpse. wouldn't that be tragic. as much as I think AFO defo came in asap and swiped touya immediately, I can't help but feel like that this is a possibility that goes through enjis mind. it's written all over his face in that scene omy goshhhhhhhhugngh this is making me sick
can we talk abt touya's medical trauma more please
touya being what grounds keigo is really nice (*´Д`*) !! it makes sense to me bc I imagine that touya is probably the most unpredictable and rebellious person keigo has ever met, who basically acted as a bombshell in his life, but he's exactly what keigo needed and STILL needs (he was incredibly lonely before touya, as much as he hates his presence sometimes)
i agreeeeeeee with this entire rb !! keigo is always there watching and observing. hawks is a persona, so keigo is still underneath analysing every single thing that's happening in the room and a lot of ppl forget that i think 😭😭
we know all know that keigo and touya's personalities are somewhat opposites (mainly in the way they act publicly vs in private) so touya is more expressive and keigo is more reserved bla bla bla, but a good chunk of the fandom waters it down to keigo just not having emotions LMAO at least in what i've seen. which is really tragic bc I feel like it nerfs his character and how much you can explore (;´-｀) AND ITS ALSO WHY THIS AU IS SPEAKING TO ME SO MUCH, I LOVE THAT YOU ACKNOWLEDGE KEIGO'S ANGER (*≧∀≦)人(≧∀≦*)♪

#dabihawks Post-war where Hawks visits Dabi in prison because there's something he needs to work out. For himself, for the both of them, who knows? They're a fucked up pair matched in hell.
And they have these heated exchanges where Dabi riles Hawks up all the time and then still asks for him to come like Hawks didn't walk out that day with bruised knuckles and Dabi's laughter ringing in his ears, blood trailing down his lips.
For reasons he still hasn't figured out, Hawks always does show up. Like some kind of fucked up clockwork. Like this, is ever going to be closure that he needs. Like Dabi, is the only one who can figure him out. See right through him. Even if it's another taunt, another cut right to the core and sets everything inside of him on fire—
"You know in another life, you might've tried to save me. Becuase that's what good heroes do, don't they?"
And Hawks wants to stab a feather right through those scarred hands, the same way that he wants to kiss his bloody lips.
He hates him. He wants to save him. He still wants him. Desperately and unforgivably.
So if Hawks secretly throws himself into studying law, what of it? The legality isn't so far from what he's already known as a hero and passing the bar is just another exam in the number of many that he'd excelled at years ago. Regulations just requires him to get hands on practice first.
He can do it. In a few years time, he'll become a lawyer.
And free Dabi.
Becuase there's no other life than this one, where he bores gold eyes into the blue of Dabi's soul and throws out in the most sarcastic kind of way—
"Aw sweetheart, what do you want me to do? Turn into a lawyer? Get you out? File an appeal?"
It is exactly what he does.

the core of dabis character is that he's a front line soldier in the idgaf war, but he's constantly losing
I love how in every universe touya still has that wack ass coat
dabi's hair is definitely all crispy and rough bc of that wack ass hair dye he uses but when he washes it out and finally let's his hair breathe it just turns into the ball of fluff on his head that hawks can't get his hands off
something about normally stoic and straight faced characters finally breaking and showing emotion
something about the emotion being anger or insanity

#dabihawks Hawks, who's not the fastest hero who sits at number two, but the people's fastest vigilante, who crashes hero galas and every overly lascivious extravagances and press conferences that top heroes hold, to steal the food and all of their riches to distribute to the poor. His prime target, the number two flame hero.
And rising pro-hero Dabi, who watches him do it without fail, every time. Something between annoyance but impressed and confusingly fond, another purposely slowed step to not catch him.
(He could catch him if he tried, is what Dabi tells himself.)
But it is his father, so maybe vigilante Hawks is on to something. He's never approved of the waste that top heroes spend. Most definitely not his father's annual celebrations, so if he turns a blind eye, there's really no harm here, right?
And if Hawks lounges against a table at the annual bash, no eyes' on him except for Dabi's, as he bites into an apple, Dabi can't deny that he looks good doing what he does.
"Here to rob the poor old man again?" Dabi greets, for the hell of it. Not because he's not already sure of the other man's intentions. Innocent until proven guilty... except Hawks is always guilty.
Hawks snorts as he throws out a hand and props up a knee, leather pants stretching against the pose and Dabi's eyes stray too long between his legs. His hand dangles off the knee as he waves, "This what you guys call poor?"
Dabi laughs, sloshing the liquid around the glass of champagne in his hand. "Nah, but someone's gotta give him a little pity. He'll be bled dry someday if you keep coming for him."
"Will he?" Hawks muses lazily and takes another bite of the apple, the crunch of the fruit catching its juices against the corner of his mouth. Dabi licks his own lips. "And what of the people outside, already empty? I rather think I'm not bleeding him dry fast enough."
Dabi agrees, he does, but he's also a hero who's supposed to discourage criminal behavior. And yet the words don't come out that way. "So work faster," Dabi offers. "You're the fastest out there, aren't you? Or is that name just the press getting it all wrong?"
"Who knows?" Hawks' lips quirk into a grin. "But if I didn't know any better, I'd think you're encouraging stealing, Dabi."
"I'm a hero," Dabi repeats flatly, but it sounds weak even to his own ears. He doesn't move to arrest Hawks. He doesn't step in to stop him, not even with the chance that presents itself. He doesn't have an answer either, to generational poverty and the poor that don't have enough to eat. He wished he did, wishes Hawks, wasn't right in his own fucked up way.
Hawks jumps off the table, finished apple core tossed into a nearby bin. And then he's at Dabi's side lightning fast, blink and he'd miss it, voice sliding temptations like the gravest of a deadly sin against his ears. "Guess I'd better get to work, lest you get any other ideas. But if you're ever having a change of heart, you could... join me."
Dabi blinks and there's a whirlwind of feathers and a gust of wind, something more than the beat of his heart and the twitch of arousal that's distantly confused. Hawks is gone, a single feather left behind. His glass of champagne and the wallet against his pockets, missing.
The entirety of the banquet table too, stripped bare. All that remains, the polished wood but not a single bite.
The crowd in the background break out in gasps and uneven chatter between shock and disarray at the sudden lack of food, their missing wallets and expensive jewelry. As if they'd attended without noticing the annual reputation that these events often held now. Daylight robbery, from theirs truly.
