Why is it that I get the coolest, most detailed and intricate ideas for artworks or sewing projects right as I’m trying to sleep?? There’s this cosmetic in Sky- it’s a New Years item. It was from year of the dragon, it’s basically a black and gold oversized scarf and I’d love to make one for a costume irl and now - from probably 4-6am I’ve been lying awake thinking about patterns, stitches, decals and prop making methods all to make this thing that I don’t even have the money to make 😭 brain, why? I just wanted to get some sleep at a normal hour, why do you do this to me???

The overall outfit I want to make with it but, once again, do not have the money yet to do so:
I am in agony. I’ve made a sky cosplay before, but it’s very simple - it’s literally just the base game black cape and the days of color cargo pants with a short white wig, kinda actually looks like the dr. Ratio hair one actually- and the chuckling scout mask I think. It was my dream outfit when I first started playing, the one I want to make now though is my main outfit, and the one I’ve turned into a proper OC
Anyways, brb for the next two hours while I sketch out the silly little sleep-preventing thoughts otherwise I’ll:
A) forget them by tomorrow
B) be entirely unable to function until I do,
OR
C) not be able to sleep tonight/today until I do

Thanks for the encouragement re: sky's tournament in your recent post, it really means a lot. I personally really enjoy the games, especially the races (crab race and wingsuiting are my favorites), but getting crushed by team forest day after day does a number on one's spirit. It's really nice to scroll through tumblr and see people cheering us on, even though we've got no chance and everyone knows it. 4th place is still a place, hey?

As of right now, There’s nothing in particular I’m looking for, but if you dm me directly, or message me on discord, we can chat a little bit.
You can message me on here, or if it’s more convenient - ask me for my discord on here and I’ll give it to you through DM’s.
For IAP’s $5 and under, I’ll do sketches and some general coloring
For IAP’s that cost around $10-$15 dollars (CAD), I’ll do sketches, lineart, and clean flat color, maybe with some light shading.
For the more expensive IAP’s, $20 and up, I’ll do everything listed above, except the piece will be properly rendered.
Right now, I’m looking for the season of Nesting’s pass, any other cosmetics are secondary to the pass right now. Candle packs are always useful
I’ll provide a list of the purchased cosmetics I have already in the updated post so there’s no hassle of trying to figure that kind of stuff out
As I’m drawing the commission, I’ll provide progress screenshots, watermarked. As soon is the piece is done, I’ll provide a watermarked copy of the image for your approval, and then release the full, un-watermarked version once the item, pass, or candle pack has been exchanged.
I’ll need a screenshot of the outfit you’d like me to draw, and a pose if possible. If you don’t have a pose reference, that’s okay, but I need an outfit - or at the very least, screenshots of the items you’d like drawn.
!In TGC’s official discord, there’s a channel where you can request outfits and people will provide screenshots of said outfit for you!

So I got my hs course selection sheet, and I get mostly honors excluding science, which i get CP(college prep) in what whatever, it's fine. But I get core math, which, if you don't know, it means the lowest class.
I have a nice and easy 89% (B+) in math, so I was both mortified and confused. I had 87% in science, and I got in CP, so why shouldn't I have gotten CP in math?
Call me petty and an overachiever if you want, but it really wrecked me a lot since I hold myself to a high(ish) standard a lot of the time.
So, to put it in retrospect, I don't feel the greatest about it. Tears were shed, and I just think it'll be good to take a break while I short my life out.

arduino boards!!! omfg so nostalgic!
we actually DID use them for our compsci classes in 9th grade, and it was genuinely SO fun. like the most fun ive had in our entire design course tbh, i miss it dearly.
took some digging up but i found an old vid i made where i tried to make it play the sky: children of the light theme HAHA, never finished it though (i think i actually sent it to our server a long time ago @astravox). it's nothing mind-blowing, actually it's a bit off, but i wanted to show it anyway >:D
BONUS: we also made a light that would activate via sensors. very swag. i think i just copy & pasted the code tho i am not that smart LOL
honestly i prob still have the board at home but i have no idea where it is. maybe i'll try looking for it again or getting another one when i have the time again!! thank u for reminding me of this very pleasant memory <3

robots/mechanical things
ok so there are arduino boards that are pretty cheap and if your school has any semblance of a comp sci program they probably have one so you can borrow their stuff too
it's rly easy to start programming with it; when you're done, just hit a button and your board should start doing the thing it was told to do. there are some pre-made robots you can also buy and program (I argued with an rc car once) or you can build your own with motors
