I'm not sure if you take requests, but could I request a drawing of wof Dreadwing in honor of his voice actor recently passing awayđđ
Oh, I didn't know that. I don't know much about this man, but he did a really good job
I really like the idea mentioned by @sjhfjdjdn , that nightwing twins have a their own telepathic connection
And when Skyquake died, Dreadwing couldnât hear him anymore. Only silence
I find it quite symbolic
Well, I did it
Megatron - I love his tfp design. Probably one of the best iteration of Megs. He is huge, heavy armoured, his face covered with scars⌠He doesnât looks like an ordinary military leader who is only capable of giving orders, but like real warrior who can destroy any enemy with his bare hands.
So, in the WOF version, he definitely shares some features with Princess Burn, not only because of his might, but also because of his horns shape and dirty-dark scales (that absorbed blood of his enemies)
Starscream - Boy, I hate him so much đ¤ŁâŚ but in the good way, trust me! In my opinion, when the show's creators make you feel such strong negative emotions towards a villain, it means they've done a great job. Also, I think that his animation in the show was absolutely incredible, because even though he's a 3D model, he still manages to move like a 2D character, which is amazing!
I feel that in my design he still looks more like a skywing, than an icewing (which is kinda logical)
Soundwave - This one was tricky. I couldn't figure out what his mask would look like, so I just made his face a really dark color. I think Soundwave has both gifts of the nightwings, and heâs equally great at telepathy and a future vision. So he doesn't really need equipment to predict enemy movements, which makes him an ideal communicator in the WOF setting. His Laserbeak is part of the armor enchanted by Shockwave, and it might also allow him to open portals (but I'm not sure with this one)
Shockwave - My favourite evil genius. He would definitely have animus magic and mind reading. I think Shockwave is the only one who has advanced the study of magic so far, precisely because he combined it with scientific knowledge and created safer methods of using it, that don't damage the mind. It's like if a Mastermind got animus magic in books.
I also like to think that he didn't heal the damaged part of his face just so that his enemies would fear him more)
Dreadwing - This man deserved better! It's really a shame that he was removed from the show so quickly due to financial problems. It would be great if his arc got a proper conclusion in season 3.
Considering that I didn't want to make him a hybrid, it was difficult to choose a suitable color palette. So letâs just say, that I tried my bestđ
I donât think that he would have any nightwing powers, but honestly it doesnât even matter - this guy can make a bombs, what else does he need to be cool
Arachnid - Did anyone even doubt that she would be a hivewing? Damn, she even got her own âOthermindâ virus. Her design was the easiest to work with - just a little poisonous ass (suspiciously similar to Maleficent).
Just like Starscream, I hate her, but in a good way. She's one of the creepiest characters in the entire series, whoâs acting like a fucking heartless monster, especially with Arcee, but even so, there's always was something mesmerizing about her. I just really like strong female villains
Knockout - Wery bright and charismatic guy, definitely one of my fav cons!
I tried to draw him as handsome as possible. Worked a lot on the face shape and coloring, and as for me it turned out pretty nice (finally).
Most decepticons think Knockout is as stupid and lazy as all the other rainwings. And it's not like he completely disagrees with that. Of course heâs not stupid and lazy, but if itâs means less dirty work on the battlefield, well, heâll continue act like a tipical rainwing
(I also believe that Megatron keeps him as an âartâ)
Breakdown - Fun fact: "Operation Breakdown" was the very first thing I saw in this series. And it was an interesting experience for 8 year old me. Maybe that's why I'm so scared of eye gouging scenes in movies nowâŚ
I think that he didn't have any siblings initially due to his parents nature, and even after meeting Bulkhead, he felt uncomfortable among the other mudwings. And this is why he later chose the side of the decepticons. And maaaaybe because of one cute rainwing influence)
P.s.
I think that, being mostly nightwings and icewings, the decepticons are much more concerned about purity of their blood and rarely accept half-breeds into their ranks.
During the war, there were many animus dragons among decepticons, which is why they have so many artifacts that allowed teleportation and communication at a distance. But, honestly, I still can't imagine what Nemesis would look like in this AU
i did not have the heart to put anybody in true bastard dumbass
(edit: fixed bulkheadâs eyes, no position difference)
(edit 2: handsome predaking added)
Beep beep. The sound echoes across the frozen landscape as Dynamo trudges onwards. Not hearing a response, he repeats the sound into the frigid air as he shivers, his heating fans working to keep him warm.
Meanwhile, Starscream is not having the best of days, having been stasis cuffed and sandwiched between two mechs who individually threatened his life that day. The three bots have crammed themselves into a hole to wait out the blizzard above them, with Optimus Prime on his left, and Dreadwing on his right. Suddenly the traitorous Con looks up and honks loudly, resulting in confused looks from the others, Dreadwingâs being the most puzzled.Â
âWhat are you honking at? Why are you honking?â Dreadwing gruffly asks. He gets no response.
Outside, Dyâs finials perk up as he detects a faint honk honk in the distance, and picks up the pace in the direction of the sound, despite the biting cold around him. He shakes the snow off of his plating in a motion akin to the ruffling of feathers, and beeps again. After a moment, honk honk.
This continues until Dynamo hears the sound right beneath his pedes. He looks down, and sees three heads.Â
âThere room for one more in there?â Dy asks, poking his helm into the hole.
âNo.â Dreadwing deadpans automatically.
âWell then,â the child replies, briefly cocking his helm to the side, âguess Iâll make some room.â He pulls his helm out of the hole and walks to the side of their shelter. Turning to face the hole, he kneels down and begins to dig into the snow. After about 10 minutes of minimal progress, he stands up and activates the thrusters in his pedes, quickly melting the snow. A minute passes, and he goes back to shoveling snow with his servos, swiftly creating a decently sized hole in the ground. Satisfied, the small jet hops into the hole, and takes no time at all carving away at the wall between his hole and the shelter made by the older bots.Â
Upon breaching the barrier and facing the trio, Dy smiles and cheerfully says, âI have now turned your one bedroom apartment into a two bedroom apartment.â His dad slightly smiles. Optimusâ face is too hard to read for the child to decipher his emotions, but he seems content. Dreadwing just rolls his optics and frowns.
Crawling forwards, the youngling grabs his best friendâs heeled pedes and carefully pulls the mech towards himself, with no noteworthy reaction from the others, aside from a grunt from Dreadwing. After maneuvering Starscreamâs bound form to the opposite wall, towards Dyâs addition to the hole, he is positioned with his back to the wall, and his child in his lap, his arms wrapped around Dynamoâs neck, with the childâs helm resting on his chassis. At this moment, Dy notices the half empty energon cube in Starsâ servos.
He looks up at him and says, âCan I have some? Iâm hungry.â Wordlessly, the older jet nodds warmly and hands him the cube, which he promptly and heartily drinks, sighing contentedly. Dynamo leans into his fatherâs chassis, looks up at him and smiles, which Starscream returns. Optimus and Dreadwing look between the two jets in confusion. Optimus speaks up.
âWhy are you so nice to Dynamo? What ulterior motives do you have for the child?â he asks, with a suspicious tone, âItâs not like you to be nice for the sake of it.â Starscreamâs face hardens as he looks up.Â
âI am his guardian, and itâs my job to take care of him, and make sure he doesnât get himself killed?â He sarcastically answers. This gleans an unimpressed huff from the other Decepticon. Starscream just rolls his optics and returns to looking at his son, who had settled down and was falling asleep in his arms; the warmth of his spark chamber a soothing contrast from the frozen storm raging above them.
A brief moment of silence was broken when Dreadwing chuckled. Starscream and the Autobot leader turn to him with puzzled expressions.
âHow could a coward as weak and pathetic as you ever serve as a proper guardian for that runt? You donât think about anyone but yourself, so how could you truly care for him? Even though you claim otherwise, we all know youâre just using him, and when you no longer need him youâll discard him like heâs nothing.â Dreadwing snarls accusingly. Starscream grimaces at this when suddenly they hear a shifting sound. They look down to see Dynamo wake up as he throws the empty energon cube in his servo at Dreadwing's face with an annoyed expression, before returning to his slumber, leaving the larger Con bewildered as to what just occurred.Â
Starscream stifles a chuckle and whispers âThatâs my boyâ as he hugs his son tighter, also falling into recharge as the storm continues on. Dreadwing moves to retaliate, but Optimus just grabs his shoulder and shakes his head, itâs not worth it. So the two settle down to wait out the blizzard, as the seeker duo slumber cuddled up together.
Saw the tfp cons MLP versions, I suggest making Megatron an alicorn.
You got it đđ
