hey y'all so i may have completely let go of this challenge. now that i'm getting ready to head back to school for my sophomore year i really want to try again with some new prompts. i'm going to once again only do it for days i have class (so mon-thurs) and i may add in some extras to do.
anyway i'll see how well this works out, i still have about a week until i go back so maybe i'll post something between now and then. see y'all soon
Today was our first official service, it was a mixture of canapés.
For savoury, there was the wild mush room risotto arancini, tempura fried mackerel with cube chips and lemon and tartare sauce, miniature meatballs and tomato sauce, and the chicken dish on the top right severed on croutons and topped with a plum chutney.
For the sweet canapés there was, the peach sponge, Black Forest tray bake, shortbread topped with whipped cream and lemon curd, whipped cream with orange and chocolate, and coconut macaroons with topped with chocolate drizzle or stuck together with caramel chocolate.
It was stressful but very rewarding even if it was just only 40-50 people. We got to eat the leftovers at the end and they were so good! The risotto balls literally melted in your mouth.

Yesterday’s prep for tonight’s service, the kitchen smelt absolutely DIVINE! Love being a culinary student, best scholarly choice I made lol.
My partners parents found out I’m learning Bulgarian, and now I feel more pressured to learn more, and learn faster 😮💨
Had a good day of studying today, mainly focused on Русский (Russian). In college today we made banana bread and date scones which were really nice, I love being a culinary student but I really dislike the fact we have to pay for the things we bake ourselves. Apparently it was also ‘freshers’ week for universities so there was loads of stalls set up in the town centre where you would get massive discounts if you were a student.
Guys, I have no one to support me and I only have two months left until the exam that will determine my future, so I opened a blog, I don’t know what I will post yet but I need someone to really support me, even my family doesn’t support me, I promise you that if I receive your support and motivation I will share with you my adventures until the day I get on the plane to travel to the university of my dreams
