Before ending the month of Love, let's stop and appreciate the huge popularity of Sonadow since the beginning of this decade, being the most wanted Sonic ship according to Google results. (The second screenshot was taken in december of last year by @/Nenemyun)
To make it clearer, we can compare the results, for example, with those of Sonamy in the same period of time. This is madness! 🤯😭🦔

my brain has been taken over by sonadow in the last week. I've never consumed sonic content before last week and this week and it's All I can think about now. I'm in the early stage of a new hyperfixation where I get severe tunnel vision and cannot focus on any other piece of media except the current one. like I don't think I could get myself to draw dean or castiel bc the demon in my head would go "draw sonic. draw shadow. draw sonadow" over and over again

I like the idea that Sonic can be silent for hours but word vomits when he's nervous or catches the right moment. Shadow is a good listener...at least to people he respects. I HC it's a bad trait of his, walking away or leaving before someones finished talking because obviously he already knows this thing.
I think it's something they would both have to work on. Sonic might even have the opposite issue, never finishing or explaining enough...just running off.
a lil tropey sonadow warm up, before getting some more comic stuff going in the new year. This one's been sitting in my files for months.
I think over time he'd become fascinated by the strange things people say, given how often sonic just sits and listens to the world around him. At some point his "wtf are you talking about, that's a dumb thing to say" would turn into, "thats a weird thing to say. Why? tell me more. I need to understand everything."
I bet sonic would slap him with a "why do you think he said that? Really? huh." but never explaining, making shadow doubt himself and ask more just to prove he's exploring more perspectives.
Also continues my HC that he's accidentally romantic, despite himself haha. "is he into me?" Who knows, honestly.
