I have a question if it's alright! How did Rudy end up in the ward? In canon, he doesn't tell his parents much about his current issues since he feels like a burden to them. I am wondering how your AU differs! What are the circumstances that led to Rudy being admitted?

Basically, what happens is Rudy has a really bad breakdown that leads to him harming himself with the intention of dying (there are two drawings I have posted where he is sitting on the floor with a bloody nose , this is because he slams his face against the wall ^_^ )
he wanted to hide this from his parents but he pasted out from being so exhausted !!! So they found him on the floor lying in a pool of blood and they took him to the hospital

YAY OKAY !!!! I’ll yap about him
he gets into the hospital a week before the rest of them. He stays for around 3 weeks in total. The nurses are familiar with him, since he has been there before in the past. When he meets Tobias, they almost instantly become friends (mostly because they are roommates and he wants to play it safe) ((doesn’t want Tobias to try to murder him in his sleep lol )) he gets along with everyone, for the most part , but he also sleeps a looooottttt. Like. He tries to sleep throughout the entire day,,, and fails since the nurses force him to wake up and go to group

Does tobi ever tell rudy about why he ended up in the psych ward?
yes , they talk about it while they are in their room . They aren’t allowed to talk about it near staff or other patients, since it’s a very strict rule that you aren’t allowed to mention your past visits to the hospital or the reason why you are there. Rudy is surprisingly understanding about it, and tries not to ask too many questions.

Rudy is polite with everyone, but he keeps to himself. Tobias and Rudy get close, since they are roommates, and Tobias looks up to him. Carmelo and Emilio are roommates, and they become pretty good friends! Emilio is very very VERY kept to himself, and Carmelo is the one who tries to get him out of his shell a bit. Carmelo still acts tough, but waaaay less than he does in GE. The reason for this is because he is trying to get better, and he is also very numb and tired.

rudy is in there cause he tried to kill himself , tobias is in there cause he tried to kill his dad and then himself , carmelo is in there cause of suicidal ideation, and emilio is in there because he refused to take his meds and started to spiral really bad , so he voluntarily got put in there because he was scared of hurting his little sister on accident.
Emilio refused to take them because he wanted to feel “normal” and he wanted to prove to himself that he was in control of himself (he was in fact not in control of himself)
Carmelo’s suicidal ideation was because of his self esteem , he felt like everyone he got close to would eventually be hurt my him and he felt horrible about it
