Everyone wave goodbye to the rottmnt au I could never motivate myself to do! 👋

I had a few different name ideas including "Wednesday's Child" "Sweet Boy of Mine" and "It Should Take A Village" but I hadn’t fully decided.

The basic plot of the au is that Casey Jr dies. Everyone is obviously devastated but some handle that kind of pain... uniquely. Aka Donnie (in a fit of grief) uses Casey Sr's and Kraang DNA to regrow a clone of sorts. A new Casey.

Granted, there are some mishaps. Like the fact that Donnie accidently got some of his own DNA in the mix. And the fact that this new child bears some unsettling charactistics of the Kraang.

The others are not happy with Donnie’s actions, and when he's told to "take care of it", they mighhhht have different meanings in mind. So Donnie finds himself raising a half mutant alien clone child in secret. Easy, right?

Second addition to my Classical Shellements au! Our boi Raph, the fire spirit!! (I spent a while making sure the design wasn't too similar to the celestial au. No idea stealing here!)

I think fire fits Raph really well (regardless of the color scheme XD) because it can be gentle and comforting just as much as it can be powerful and destructive, like him

Things I Need To See If When We Get Rottmnt Season 3

-More Apritello (wait don't leave yet!)

-It doesn't need to be romantic (although they have such a good dynamic I honestly wouldn't mind if they did as long as it was done right)

-but seriously, they're just chaotic together and I need more of that

-Along those lines I also feel like there needs to be more one on one time with April and Leo as well as April and Raph

-Like??

-Both duos are so good and they just don't get enough screen time at all

-Also, I need the turtles + Splinter to actually meet April's parents

-Did I know I needed this until I saw the disaster twins psyched for a nice dinner in their matching sweater vests? No.

-Do I need it now more than ever? Y e s.

-I also need them to actually acknowledge the events of the movie and not just brush past it like it was no big deal. Let it come up later. Let the rest of the turtles be just-barely-noticeably a lot more overprotective when it comes to Leo. Don't tell me they would almost lose him like that and continue letting him be reckless all the time.

-GIVE. ME. MORE. CASEY.

-You CANNOT just add her to the mix and dip like that. I NEED to see how she fits in with the group. Will her and Donnie be completely unhinged together? Absolutely. Will Splinter dote on her like she's his daughter and she'll absolutely love it and swear to make him proud? Probably. Will her and April be an absolute girl boss team together and probably have sleepovers while gossiping about whatever? Y e s. Will she be completely unused to getting positive reinforcement and being part of an actual family who loves her even if she makes mistakes? For sure. But will she adore it? Um, yes!

-Leader Leo Leader Leo Leader Leo Leader Leo Leader Leo Leader Leo Leader Leo Leader Leo

-Will this poor boy be immediately overwhelmed with this responsibility and continuously doubt himself? Yes. But Raph would be giving him tips and pointers the entire time because he KNOWS how stressful it is to keep everyone in line and stop them from getting hurt or worse. Let Leo come to terms with his role and realize he's actually really good at it! Let him be so relieved to finally feel like he has a place on the team and isn't actually a useless screw-up.

-Alternatively, show us how Raph feels about this development! Will he be proud of his little brother for stepping up? Of course! But maybe, just maybe, he goes through some withdrawals? Maybe he has a hard time remembering that he's not in charge anymore and Leo is the one calling the shots. Maybe he feels a little lost on his place in the team now that he isn't the leader. Would his brothers immediately reassure him that he's still irreplaceable and is just as important to the team now as he was before? Yes, but it still might take him some time to get used to that.

-Mikey Magic. Magic Mike. (Jk)

-You really can't tell us Mikey is some powerful mystic warrior and not expect us to want more answers. Can he control it? Or is it fuelled by fear and desperation? Can he learn to harness his power without his brothers absorbing the energy with him? If done correctly, does this potentially open the stage to Mikey being able to time travel whenever he chooses? That could be interesting.

-Soft Shell Donnie

-Maybe it's just my desire for angst, but I think we should see more of Donnie without his battle shell. It would certainly make for more dramatic fight scenes if that vulnerability was exposed more.

Here are a few more minor ones that have zero plot relevance but I just think would be neat:

-Raph should get some sort of pet

-The turtles should occasionally make little chirps and hisses like real turtles do

-April should have a bigger wardrobe

-We should see Mikey actually graffiti something (I know he's the artsy one but have we ever actually seen him paint something??)

-I would love an episode centered around a hatred fueled disaster twin prank war. (Each prank gets progressively more crazy and dangerous until the others have to eventually interfere so they don't kill each other)

-Let Donnie perform a musical number like the absolute theater kid he is (other than a rap?)

-Random, but I also think it'd be funny if Mayhem had a growth spurt and was actually meant to be the size of a tiger. Plus April could ride him into battle like the badass she is.

-We should have a cool underwater fight scene! They're literally turtles! Plus, I think softshell turtles are supposed to be suuuper fast swimmers and I want to see that

A few more people have suggested:

-Raph/Donnie duo! We need a red and purple episode now!!

-Give. Donnie. His. Fashion. Montage. Seriously, we were robbed

-Alternatively to Donnie's musical performance, give us an entirely musical episode! We know they all have amazing voices!

That's all I could think of for now. Feel free to chime in any ideas you have!

Just Donnie's progressively weirder battle cries/exclamations

There's obviously a lot more but I'm too lazy to document the rest of them.

So I was rewatching rottmnt again (because I'm stuck in a hyper fixation pit) and noticed something I hadn't realized before.

Raph and Leo are both holding up their weight reasonably with both hands and feet. This obviously makes sense

BUT HOW IN THE WORLD IS DONNIE STICKING TO THE SIDE OF THE WALL???

LIKE????

DUDE JUST BECAME SPIDERMAN FOR A QUICK SECOND???

WHAT???

Since I've fallen into another fandom pit (this time being Rottmnt) I decided to design some next gen turtles

Donnie's kids are Frankie (after either Benjamin or Roosevelt) and Gale (after Galileo). Frankie is the oldest kid and probably the most self conscious about everything. Gale is the youngest out of the group but she has a bigger attitude then the rest of them combined.

Raph's only kid is Rouge. She's second oldest of the group (only a few days younger than Frankie). She fun and relaxed but doesn't do so well under high stakes pressure. (Also Raph is the MOST overprotective, overwhelmingly affectionate father of the 4 and you can't convince me otherwise. Rouge often acts annoyed when he coddles her but she doesn't really mind.)

Since Leo was (at least 1 of) the arrogant twin(s), it seems only right that he has mischievous twins of his own. Eli and Arch love playing pranks, and enjoy giving good one-liners (However, if Leo is anywhere nearby, they act like they hate one-liners and even go so far as to pretend they don't understand the ones he makes just to get on his nerves.)

(Leo often rants about how arrogant and disobedient the twins are to Raph, but he's seldom any help. In fact, he just silently laughs to himself because karma is sweet)

And finally, Mikey's only child is Naomi. She's sweet, fun and creative like her dad. She's usually the group hype man and has no problem acting different or strange. In fact, she prides herself on it. She can't cook to save her life, but the rest of them always choke down whatever monstrosity she makes because gosh darn it she worked hard and they don't have the heart to tell her the truth.

First of all, it was so fun and wholesome drawing Raph and Mikey sleeping peacefully. I wonder when Donnie and Leo will get some sleep…? Looks like they are going through something.

Second of all…doing backgrounds are a beast of a challenge for me but I will push on and conquer them eventually!

Oh, my soul! What?? 500 likes?? That is so crazy. Thank you everyone for supporting me and my art! It shows me at least I’m doing something right XD. I wanted to make a personalized 500 likes to post so here are the turtles! Fun fact: all the reactions the turtles have were also my reactions to this notification! Although 500 likes might not seem like a lot to others, it means a lot to me.

Hiiii, it's me, again, I have a question (I'm not sure if you answered it already so sorry if you did) How is Mikey handling this situation? In a post you mentioned that Miley was going to snap and we saw that in another post he was screaming I think after he saw another dimension... So just wondering what is happening to the little orange been and when/if we'll see something more :)

Michelangelo has always been the kind of person to help anyone and everyone around him to the best of his abilities.

Unfortunately, the world is full of people who ask for more than can be given.

There were several individuals who were upset with Mikey's decision to save his brothers.

It's been anywhere between "You nearly destroyed the world!!" to "Why not bring back everyone else who've been lost??"

Sweet Mikey has been facing a lot of guilt, despite the fact that it isn't his fault and that he's just trying to do his best.

That doesn't mean these people care.

Raph is, you’re not a danger. You’re not a risk. You are safe, and so are your brothers. You’re not gonna hurt anyone. How do I know this? I just do. Trust. Shhhhhhhhh

Leo's age is a mystery, cuz the guy kind of stopped counting after so many years on his own.

However, he does know for a fact that he was around 32 when he and Casey Jr. took down the Technodrome, so he's somewhere around that age range.

I don't actually have a lot of things on Mikey just yet.

I do however have these concept doodles I made when first coming up with the AU idea.

He doesn't wear his mask anymore cuz of his hair, and I'm trying to come up with a place to put it in his design. I kinda like the idea that he uses it to pull back his hair like with the bow thing here.

Idk, still finalizing on designs, but whatever XD
