The whole city in your heart, Toto... Is there even one star shining for me?

I missed rontoto sm i can't breathe I missed them sm
Part 4!!
Ron and Toto's relationship began the moment Ron entered the BLUE publishing house.
A young man several heads shorter than him "met" him at the entrance, bumping into him. Ron didn't even have time to say anything, as he quickly apologized and continued running down the hallway. The sweet smell of cologne remained behind him.
Ron was sure that this was an ordinary employee of the publishing house, but when he entered the owner's office, he was incredibly surprised to see the same young man.
Ron offers to cooperate, which Toto politely but cautiously declines, saying that his family had already been ruined by political games. Then Ron explains the situation more "humanely", saying that he simply wants to preserve his father's legacy. He notes that his father considered part of his duty to help the Toto publishing house when his father still owned it.
Believing that they have a common goal (preserving the legacy of their families), Toto eventually agrees to help.
The first issue of the magazine, the second, the third… Toto gets the profit his publishing house so badly needed, and Ron establishes his position in society and politics.
They talk for a long time. First about their fathers, about their families, then about themselves. Ron finds Toto sweet and slightly naive, while Toto, despite Ron's overly active nature, finds himself completely calm next to him for the first time.
The look of love. The rush of blood. Their heads are empty when their lips touch. It feels like something right, like something so long-awaited, like the explosion of a small universe inside each of them.
They spend nights together without closing their eyes. They talk about work, talk about the stars. Ron, who had never seen the point of love before, desperately wants to kiss Toto as much as possible. He never takes his eyes off him for a second, and feels how the whole world narrows down to just the office in Toto's house as soon as his gaze catches Toto's eyes.
They sleep on the old sofa in his office. Ron counts every mole on Toto's back, runs his fingers along his spine, feels the slight tremor of his body. He presses his cheek to his back and all he really wants is to show Toto how special he is to him. Every movement of his hips, his arms, every kiss, every mark on Toto's skin.
Only in the morning Ron carries him to his bed, carefully covering him with a blanket.
Confused Toto wakes up alone and it seems to him that everything that happened last night was just a dream, but on the bedside table lies a note left by Ron.
Good morning, sweetheart. I hope your lower back doesn't hurt too much. I'll come see you tonight. - Ron
Part Three!
Toto grew up in a deeply religious and conservative family.
His father was the founder and owner of the BLUE publishing house. He always kept everything strictly, which allowed him to keep the business going even in the most difficult times.
His mother was a simple housewife who was desperately trying to escape to a better life.
Toto was naive and kind from childhood. He forgave a lot, when he was fooled - he believed, he did not respond to evil with the same evil. His father never liked this, he wanted to raise a real man in him, ready to continue his publishing business. After all, their magazine collaborated with many politicians, and for this you need a calculating mind and a cold heart.
As a punishment, Toto was whipped on the calves. A place that no one would see, but which the boy himself never forgot.
His parents were killed in their own home. Toto was with them that evening, but he miraculously escaped - they simply didn't notice him in the closet. He was barely 7 years old at the time.
Toto still wears his father's suits, despite the fact that many of them had to be taken in, because he never grew to his father's height.
He hates his scars. He can't even look at his disfigured legs. But when Ron kisses them, gently pressing his lips to the scars, Toto can't hold back his tears, despite the fact that he didn't cry even when he got those scars.
THEY ARE SO REAL THEY ARE SO IN LOVE THEY ARE SO FRUITY
I came here today to say that Lilith by Halsey is Ron's POV of Toto and that's it
I HAVE SOMETHING TO CONFESS, when the first two episodes of season 2 of rkdd got released, I only watched those two and not the rest of the episodes as each got released one by one weeks ago, and I tonight I binged the rest, AND BOY THEY'RE GAY THEY LEFT ME IN A CLIFFHANGER AFTER THE PART "i don't wanna be misunderstood" sht, THEY SAT LIKE A GAY DETECTIVE COUPLE AND LAUGHED AS THEY WERE GOING TO DIE TOGETHER LIKE A GAY DETECTIVE COUPLE, AND I THINK I CAN READ LIPS NOW, like the part where the audio was silenced due to the "fire" , I couldn't read the first part, but I assumed it was "I have something to tell you /you toto" and then I had to replay alot of times if I read the second part right, I thought it was either "I like you" or "I love you" then I tried saying both, and bro, when i said "I like you" my mouth didn't need to close to pronounce, BUT BUT BUT WHEN IT WAS "I LOVE YOU" MY MOUTH HAD TO CLOSE TO PRONOUNCE JUST LIKE RONS' DID, reply the second silenced part while saying "i love you" OBSERVE YOUR MOUTH WHILE REPLAYING THAT SCENE, RON SAID "I love you" to TOTO(ofc) then Spitz saved the GAY DETECTIVE COUPLE and the end left me in a cliffhanger, OMFGGG, (I think) THEY'RE CANONICALLY GAY AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
;"I have something to tell you/you toto."
; "I love you." It can't be thank you because his mouth moved thrice and thank you is twice
(灬≧∀≦灬)♡ *laughs in I knew it they're gay* GAYYAHAHAHAH I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!! thank you for reading my whole entire observation of episode 13 essay
#they're "canonically" gay
#A GAY DETECTIVE COUPLE
Why r they like this☠☠☠
rontoto in space ๋⭑🛸๋⭑ (reference artwork)
He's so tired he needs a nap <33
I picked the first scenario but I really like to imagine the mix of #1 and #4. Because let's be honest if Ron falls first he's gonna take a ton of time to figure this out for himself. And while he does that Toto will clear Ron's feelings for himself too🙃
Also I headcanon Toto to be at least a few years older than Ron and more experienced in like social life(?) so he must realise it quite quickly when someone likes him romantically. The only reason why he doesn't is cause he doesn't pay to much attention to Ron's weird behaviour (because he is like that all the time) so he probably would know that Ron is in love only after a while😶
the results of the rontoto poll i did two weeks ago (´∩。• ᵕ •。∩`)
#1 — Ron falls first, but Toto can't tell Ron likes him. (58.3%)
First place with an overwhelming majority of votes was for the headcanon that Ron falls first while Toto remains clueless of the fact. Indeed, it is easy to see how Ron, who is capable of investigating his own feelings, would become aware of any budding romance towards his detective partner right from the get-go. Meanwhile, Toto whose primary focus almost always lies in helping people through solving cases, might not even have the room to entertain the notion that anything else is going on between him and his friend.
#2 — Who fell first is unclear, but each think their feelings are unrequited. (22.9%)
In second place comes the headcanon that who fell first is anyone's guess, but that they both think the other would not return their feelings! Despite being a man of logic, one could imagine that perhaps when it comes to the matters of his own heart, even a genius like Ron might falter. On Toto's side of things, it could be the case that he finds it difficult to picture himself as a suitable romantic partner for Ron, when they clearly have many differences that set them apart.
#3 — Who fell first is unclear, but they both know they have fallen for each other. (8.3%)
The third most voted headcanon is probably the happiest one, where despite it being unclear who fell first, both of them know that they have feelings for each other. With the way Ron and Toto have seamlessly fit into each other's lives, it's not hard to imagine that their friendship might evolve into something more just as naturally and without a fuss.
#4 — Ron falls first and Toto can tell Ron likes him. (6.2%)
Second to last is the headcanon that Ron falls first and Toto can tell that Ron likes him. Despite not being remarkable when it comes to the matters of logic and deductions, Toto has shown to be someone who is quite empathetic. And let's not forget that, for much of the story, Toto has been Ron's emotional pillar who easily gauges when the genius is feeling down in the dumps. Given this, it's not so far-fetched to think that Toto might sense it, should Ron starts to see him in a whole new light.
#5 — Toto falls first, and Ron can tell Toto likes him. (2.1%) AND Toto falls first, but Ron can't tell Toto likes him. (2.1%)
Tied for the last place are the headcanons that Toto falls first, regardless of whether Ron can or can't tell Toto likes him. It is quite fun to imagine Toto succumbing to Ron's charms. Sure, he has witnessed what a superlative hottie Ron can be before, but it is a whole other ballgame once that charisma starts to make his own heart race. Whether Ron figures out Toto's flustered reactions are rooted in newfound romantic feelings, it's for you to decide!
Okay, that's all, fellow RonToto enjoyers! (。・ω・。)ノ♡ I know some of you already shared which headcanon(s) you prefer in the replies of the poll but I would still love to know which option you ultimately picked and why. Mine was #3 (ㆁωㆁ) even though I like to think about all the scenarios listed!
Ron and Toto had a date today! 🌸
Me and bro frfr very bromantic and were both homiesexual

ALSO I NOTICED TOTO HAS FANGS (PLURAL) IN THIS LAST PANEL IT'S SOOOOO CUTE (灬º‿º灬)♡
RonToto after their Vienna sojourn are finding themselves in Germany and for a while in France: (from top left) an old house and now a five-star hotel in Colmar, the St. Martin’s Cathedral, a boat ride along the Ill, at the foot of German poet Friedrich Schiller’s statue, the suite hotel where RonToto stayed, another timber house in Strasbourg, the Residenzschloss in Rastatt, and crashing at the wedding reception in a Stuttgart palace
After we solved the case in Vienna, and bc we did a lot of running here and there, unmasking our rich client’s long-lost lover, who happened to be a stage actor (I will tell the whole story soon, promise), he gifted us train tickets to Baden-Württemberg and the neighboring cities in France.
Ron and I visited the towns of Ludwigsburg, Stuttgart, Strasbourg, stayed a bit longer in Colmar, and then to a quaint little “baroque” city called Rastatt.
Lots of train rides, which fascinated me most of all as Germany and France in this region is only separated by a river in between, the Rhine. But wowza! The number of people who wanted to cross France on our third day was a lot. People were seated on the stairs and the hallways. It would be either be a disaster and a blessing. Just imagine if it were the time of COVID-19. Well, I am not a doctor but a police officer and I dare not to think about the possibility. Japan was in trouble when they pursued hosting the Olympics in 2020. I just read that the water quality of the river Seine was so terrible that they cancelled the triathlon the other day.
Anyway, we crashed a wedding reception in Stuttgart. Was not our intention though. The groom mistook me as a friend from middle school in an international school in Tokyo. Ron was so amused we had been offered a table and got to toast with the newlyweds for the new chapter in their lives. Two young women tried to flirt with Ron, which sort of ruined my day, but became hilarious though. Bc as soon as Ron deduced them they couldn’t wait to get away from him. Heh!
As soon as we reached Colmar while we waited for our hotel suite to be ready, we decided to go for a boat ride along the Ill River that also flows in Strasbourg. Ron was also able to tick a box on his wretched list of what he wanted to do. Want to know what that is? Sitting on top of one of the half-timber roofs and sipping his black sugar. I was so embarrassed but the owner let him get away with it. Lucky him.
On our second and final day in Colmar, there was a scheduled city trip around the town. Colmar is the city that is supposed to be the inspiration for Hayao Miyazaki’s “Howl’s Moving Castle’s” Ingary. It was a charming little town with the half-timber houses. So picturesque. That’s the word I learned from Ron. Stemmed from the 17th century it wormed its way to English language that could mean that the scene resembles a picture, evokes aesthetics and vivid. The old town feels like a museum, but many of them are still used either as a hotel or restaurant or both.
Rastatt is near the famous Baden-Baden. A small town that houses baroque palaces. It was a Monday when we visited it so not too many people were strolling around as museums were closed. Haha! That’s so nice to know.
Ron said we are going to make another stop in Europe until we are back to Tokyo for another client request. This is the first time I heard Amamiya was actually happy on the phone when I talked to her. Though one could never be sure.
When you've hit rock bottom but you still can hit on that bottom next to you
I totally agree with all that and also.. yeah
Toto's character is kinda blank in some aspects and it has a lot of "empty spaces". And I think that is why he is so popular in fandom. He is not only the "eyes" of the reader, he is also a great headcanon material. Like you can imagine him smoking weed or killing ppl before and that wouldn't change the canon at all.
As for his improvement in deduction and etc.. I don't think that he would reach Ron's or Kawasemi level and I really believe that he shouldn't. He obviously gets better but his main goal is to help people and protect them and he doesn't need to be a genius to do so (and also Ron can do it now which means that Toto kinda fulfilled his mission👀)
Anywaaay I still haven't read the latest chapters of the manga so I'm probably not the one to speak😅
When I first read new chapter, I was glad that Toto's character has a development and now not afraid to look at corpses like Ron. Plus I thought he become smarter.
However, once I re-read the chapter, I realized something. Toto hasn't grown at all as a character.
His observation skills for important details have really improved, no doubt about it. But the ability to solve riddles and deduction haven't improved at all. Toto couldn’t do it and still can’t do it. After running around with Ron for over a year, I expected to see at least some kind of thought process.
And that's Toto's problem as a character in the story. He's just... boring.
No matter how much I love Toto, (he is the best in my heart) as a character he is NOT interesting to watch. He is not growing, he is as he was in the beginning “for everything good and fluffy. I value every human life” he remained that way. And it's not a bad thing i think, but compared to others it's boring.
Maybe I'm wrong but tell me how Toto has changed throughout history? And no, there’s no mention of self-confidence here because he still has self-destructive tendencies.
Now let's take others.Ron has obviously changed a lot and that's a good thing. Kawasemi changed and stopped being so strict. Chiori stopped being so a rabid fan of detective. Even Spitz and Amamiya changed somehow. I can't say anything about Toto.
No matter how paradoxical it may sound, the only thing that makes Toto stand out from the rest is his lack of personality and mysteries around him. He literally feels like a piece of cardboard but not as living person.
Most of his actions are literally told but not shown. It's like Toto himself was left out of the picture.
So yea , I think Toto is the character who suffers most at the hands of the author in manga
Heya! Thank you for waiting.
I thought about this long and hard. Like you, I love Toto, seeing that I am a Watsonian first of all. And at times, biased.
It is not easy to give you answers, bc I might change my opinion in the coming days. But for now, I can say that your concerns are valid, that Toto as a character remains somehow stagnant. On the other hand, if you change him, just a little bit, like he has reached Ron’s level in deduction we would lose him as a stand-in for the audience. Seeing that the titular character isn’t Toto, his role is more like Jiminy Cricket. He gives advices, scolds Ron, he can’t arse finding out the solution bc he isn’t the genius character. This is Ron’s place.
Once Akira changes him to something like equal to Ron then in the grand scheme of her storytelling, his role as the receiver of wonderful deduction would be gone.
And in all honesty, it is a bit mind-boggling how will Akira direct Toto’s characterisation in a new direction without involving him as someone who is part of the antagonists or giving us hints of his familial background, if she considers him as a deuteragonist of the story. Bc so far, like any Watson-esque character, he’s become a character in the background, it is the downside of having a genius and eccentric friend.
True, it is frustrating sometimes, and he’s maybe boring bc of it. In truth we applaud him when he shows signs of improvement. But I don’t think he’ll reach Kawasemi’s excellence nor Ron’s genius bc he’s none of these things. Kawasemi changed emotionally and has become a disciple of Toto.
And yet, and yet, Akira seems to be content in status quo.
He is changing but gradually. Maybe, the moment Ron will receive his license is the moment we’ll see Toto can hold his own. Cross my fingers.
PS: that’s why i am counting on the anime crew hoping that they can remedy some issues on Toto’s characterisation, which they did during the first season.
A few days ago I started watching Daria and now I've found out that walls in her room are covered by soft panels just like the floor in Ron's apartment👀
Is it like an intp thing or just a coincidence I don't know
But I can't stop thinking that they both would be glad to live in here
(also this is another proof to Ron being insane theory)👁️👄👁️

Oh my gosh!!!
One of the fountains of Strudlhofstiege; the palace garden park; the National Bank’s heavy door; and the historical lamppost.
Yesterday Ron and I took a walk around the AirBnB we rented in the city of Vienna. We visited the National Bank as Ron had a client there. A big shot old European aristocrat. It has to do with a person. A renowned stage actor to be exact. Ron told me to keep quiet now. So I’ll keep my mouth shut. Anyway, we visited a palace with a beautiful garden and a flight of stairs that was supposed to be one of the most beautiful of all in the city. A tip: Sigmund Freud used to live in this district and had his first consultation office here too. It is now a museum and they even preserved the couch his clients used to lie on. The birthplace of psychoanalysis.
That same day, the old aristocrat invited us for a dinner. This restaurant, Plachutta, serves traditional Viennese cuisine. He urged me to order Tafelspitz. It was so good! But the portion was probably good for two people. It was soup and main course in one. The fried potato strips were so delicious. And the soup with tender beef and bone marrow were to die for. My Japanese palate is not used to this serving. The homemade apple sauce and garlic cream were a good choice. I even had sautéed spinach. Ron had Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and beer.
He urged me to order a Nachspeise, German word for dessert, but I was too full.
Anyway, there are a couple of Asian stores here too. To my delight one of them sells 🍡 so Ron and I grabbed one pack and we might eat them tonight.
So there you go. If Ron would let me I might talk about the case of the old aristocrat in the coming days or so.
Ah, summer in Vienna is sometimes unbearable.
