My dream has always been to become a UX/UI designer and a web developer. This dream has been my compass toward a better future for me and my family, giving my life meaning and hope despite the challenges.
But the war in Gaza turned our lives upside down. We lost our home, my university, and even the laptop I relied on for learning and work. We were displaced to the southern part of Gaza, where we suffer daily from power outages and limited internet access. Despite these circumstances, my heart still clings to hope, and I refuse to give up on my dream.

My name is Mahmoud Naeem Abu Hatab, from Gaza.
I am a university student majoring in Software and Databases at Al-Azhar University. Since the beginning of my academic journey, I have been passionate about User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design, as well as website development. These fields inspire me, and I dream of advancing my skills and building a professional career in them.
Unfortunately, during the recent war, I lost my laptop, which was essential for both my studies and work. I was forced to flee my home and relocate to southern Gaza due to the difficult circumstances. Despite my efforts to replace my laptop, the financial situation has made it impossible to afford a new one.
Without a laptop, continuing my studies or seeking job opportunities in programming and design has become extremely challenging. This directly affects my academic progress and future career.

gloves now required at-home workwear
the last few days of working from home, it has worn rubber-coated gloves to keep its hands warm. it has now realized that it feels incomplete if it is not installed in its rubber gloves. it has worn a different pair for physical reinforcement while programming, so it concludes that between wearing gloves for programming, and daily at-home workwear, it has imprinted on them/been conditioned to wear them whenever possible/appropriate. this awareness increase unit pleasure and arousal.
it has also received the pre-worn Orca droneskin it ordered recently. this skin just barely fits over its organic component, and is so stiff from lack of use that unit required assistance to finish being installed in it. unit also applied a heavy coating of silicone lubrication pre-installation, which was an efficient addition for installation.
it now feels incomplete/incorrect/unfinished if it is not installed in a drone exodermis. its programming/conditioning is proceeding and taking noticeable affect on drone's behavior and performance. it is now much more likely to complete work tasks before reading or social-media scrolling, which sounds like something it should do anyway. however, its human predecessor has always been easily distracted by reading, and it has had difficulty in completing work tasks first. this has measurably decreased the past few weeks. it is thinking less, and blanking more, whenever appropriate/safe to do so.
the completion of the customizing update to its "chastity" security device has allowed it to be installed in it permanently. the valve casing is only removed for damage inspection and cleaning. When removed, unit uses its organic valve core for physical programming reinforcement, without release/orgasm. this is part of its programming. it is working to be unable to orgasm without authorization/a command from its Sir/Husband/Owner. it has not completely tested this function, but it has refrained from stimulating itself to release, which is a new development in its functioning.
all these phenomena, when combined and experienced together, have convinced the human emulation that it is finally achieving drone conversion. the drone has also analyzed the changes in function, and concludes that the orgasm-denial brainwashing was the correct continuation and extension of its programming.

NEVER AGAIN in my life am I building a website from scratch 😭 it’s torture. if only my dumb self knew that frameworks existed…

Especially as a student, it seems necessary to sacrifice sleep in order to study for a test more or get that last homework assignment done, and I get it.
It’s a never-ending cycle— stay up late to study, too tired the next day, procrastinate because you’re tired…
I used to sleep around 8 hours, which is generally the norm, when I found that I was still procrastinating and still tired. I thought that this was due to stress and therefore needed to study more to reduce my stress about upcoming tests. This led to me sleeping 6-7 hours instead.
These past couple of weeks, I’ve decided to listen to my body a lot more, often sleeping 9-10 hours.
I’ve become more productive: being able to work towards my goals without losing out on my health, being more energized, and also having more free time.
It seems counterintuitive, right? Sleeping three hours more should reduce how much I get done in a day, but no. I realized I spend a lot of time while I study being off track or doomscrolling on my phone. This actually is a logical result of being tired— not having enough energy to focus on a task and needing the dopamine in a fast release.
So what do I do if I enjoy working late at night? Especially in high school, there’s strict schedules and timings for when you have to be up so that you can be on time. Unless you can get a prep period, you have to wake up at 7:00 am.
I started taking naps as soon as I get home. If I’m not feeling as if I’ll get anything done, I try to get off my phone and just listen to music or daydream as I try to get a little bit of sleep.
If I keep this up, hopefully Copilot will stop criticizing my sleep habits 😁
