Fanon lovers: Hawks would be a shitty boyfriend since he is always working and probably uses his body in some lines of his work.

Canon lovers: Hawks is a precious fucking bean that must be protected. If you try and slander the precious nugget, you are going to meet your McFucking end.

With MHA being over, it's hard to say theres anything else to write about. I think I'll just periodically repost really old posts about Hawks from now on, and answer any asks!

Okay I like sting bean hawks, but hear me out, hawks would have massive pecks/chest and back muscles because of his wings…and then like have a skinny waist….like a triangle/Dorito 

IIRC Hawks has complained about his body not being able to accommodate his wings properly. But in light of your comment. I do think rather than having a bugger chest, Hawks would likely benefit more if he had a spare set of pectorals. If you were to think of it on an anatomical level, the pectorals help with the movement of the shoulders and arms. For the movement of wings, you would more than likely need another set of pectorals to help, along with stronger back muscles.

Hawks, per say, wouldn't need more muscles to accommodate his wings, but rather, he would need a body that actually accommodates his wings.

I think a good way to explain it would be your stereotypical harpy or wyvern. Their arms are wings, meaning they have no hands, so they would have no need for an extra set of muscles. Harpies are depicted as a part woman part bird creature in mythology. However, with how the body is *typically* structured, their bodies are more bird than humans, so the muscle structures would look different, yet it would accommodate for the wings.

Wyverns are depicted as dragons who have wings for arms rather than a typical western dragon that has wings on its back. Western dragons are usually depicted as having strong, large bodies, and while we can not actually confirm their muscle structure, we often seen them design with large chests, and more than likely a complex muscle structure to also accommodate for their wings. Wyverns wouldn't need as large of a chest as a western dragon and more often depicted with slender bodies compared to that of a western dragon, yet still are big since they need strong muscles to fly.

Let's take Hawks now. Being human, his body is not adapted to have wings. If you look at, say, a body builder and how they large muscles, if you gave them wings, what muscles exactly would be used to promote the wings to function? None, why? Because every muscle on the human body already has its use and purpose. Simply put, you would need extra muscles on your body that are specifically for said wings. If we were to put that into Hawks, his body would look different. If we were to go off of how his quirk is used and how long he has been training his quirk, and if he did have the proper muscles to accommodate his wings. Hawks would look completely different. Yes, he would have a winder chest, but he would have extra muscles, such as extra pecorals and even extra back muscles.

Yes, he would have a strong upper body, but IMO (OPINION BTW) his entire body wouldn't also be as strong. He is meant for speed, not strength. We don't know a lot about how his wings actually work if you think of it from a muscle standpoint. Hell, with how his quirk works and what we have seen in the manga and anime, we can't even guarantee he has wing bones.

That being all said. I'm just rambling, so ignore me. But I still prefer string bean Hawks over muscular Hawks :P

I like to think that Fanon Hawks actually has a good sense of fashion, meanwhile... we've seen Canon Hawks and some of his more.... questionable fashion choices.

Okay, so. Buff Hawks? I love it, but it still feels a bit off for me. Is there anyone else who feels the same? Just me? Okay.

I will always love my string bean of a hero that is Hawks.

Sometimes, I like to think of how high Hawks can fly. We've seen him fly high above the clouds and with no issue, too. Makes me wonder just how high he can fly before he starts having problems.

I still love that Hawks keeps in touch with Mera. And has a good relationship with Lady Nagant.

Hey, back to this, now that it's been animated and what not.

So Hawks has prosthetic feathers, which means his wings will never be the same. My question is, how did AFO notice them? Like are the prosthetics that different from his feathers? In the manga, you could barely notice it.

Man, can wait for when Hawks [Redacted] his [Redacted] gets animated. Then [Redacted] realizes that Hawks' [Redacted] is not what [Redacted] expected.

That moment when you want to talk about specific moments from the Manga, but don't want to spoil the Anime only folk.

So Hawks has [Redacted] [Redacted] which means his [Redacted] will never be the same. My question is how did [Redacted] notice them, like are the [Redacted] that different from his [Redacted]? In the Manga you could barely notice it.

New headcanon of mine is that at some point, the Softbank Hawks baseball team sponsored Hawks and had him as their mascot for the time of his sponsorship, which causes a popularity boost for their team. This, and Hawks unironnicaly loves baseball.

Whenever I re-watch the 3rd MHA movie, I like to think that Hawks is fast, but like, inhumanely fast. So fast that he can dodge literal gunfire and take down the enemies with ease. BECAUSE HE FUCKING DOES! He moves so fast that he is unharmed as he fights on the ground and still keeps going. Without his wings btw, because his feathers are busy searching, so ye. Hawks is fast, but like, inhumanely fast that it's scary.

I haven't watched season 7 just yet, but I am fully caught up with the Manga, and like... I don't think I'm ready for it. T.T

I won't spoil for the anime only watchers, but oh, how much I am going to love when redacted gets animated. He's so smug about it, too.

Why do I feel like Fanon Hawks would take care of you whole-heartedly while you are on your period, but Canon Hawks is too busy to be there and just sends you a basket of menstrual care products.

Like Fanon would bring you chocolates, a heating blanket or use his wings as one, and buy you pads,tampons, a fucking mentrual cup, and even some meds because he doesnt want to see you in pain. He gives you your space when you need it, or is by your side the whole time.

Canon? Pfft naw, mans too busy, he will probs give a call to check in on you, while sending a sidekick to give you the basket then dip.

RANT ABOUT HAWKS

Thinking about Keigo's wings, and how a lot of people like to base Keigo's wings on a Red-Tailed Hawk. The average wingspan of RT-Hawks are just under 5 feet, and so if we scale it up by about 3.1x (taking the average size of a TRH and matching it as close as possible to Keigo's height.) Then multiply that by the average wingspan, (Lets say 4ft 2inch). Keigo would have a wingspan of around 13-15ft, depending on the size, so about 14ft.

From what we have seen, Keigo soars in the sky, like a Hawk would do. Understanding how a Hawk is able to soar, you would know that it conserves a lot of energy by doing so. We see that Keigo gets bored while flying during work, as its takes so little energy that it would quite literally not require him to concentrate on flying at all. (Theoretically, he could soar the skies effortlessly without even thinking, second nature type shit.) This allows him to use his eyes to scout the ground below, or shift his body during flight.

We also know that Keigo states that he is not powerful, and relies on speed and agility. Keigo can also manipulate his feathers to sharpen them, use them as blades, sense things around him, and pick people or object up. We know his feathers are incredibly strong, specifically the calamus, or quil. If we take that into account, we can theorize that Keigo could probably lift close to a ton with his feathers. We know this because when Hawks rescues the civilians in the collasping building in the nomu fight, he is carrying well over 20 adults (possibly 30-60), the average weight of a human being anywhere from 120-200 lbs. Even as a child, Keigo has saved adults during the high-speed car accident, meaning Keigo's feathers have always been strong.

Knowing all of this, we can safely say, I have no idea where this is going other than Keigo is stupidly fast, smart, and strong. Even if we only see two aspects, his speed and wit, we also get bits of how powerful his wings are.

BY THE WAY, Keigo is stupidly resiliant... He lands on his back, tumbling and recovered within the instant, adjusting his wings for balance as he runs at an inhumane speed, not only backwords, but squated, or knees bent close to 90°, any other hero would more than likely have taken the fall, stayed down for a good while then recovered.

Keigo is also impulsive, manipulative and aware. He can read others better than they think, he states how he is impulsive and can't control himself when he wants something. He snuck his way into Twice's brain along with 95% of the PLF. Keigo is so casual about how he presents himself, that people never notice how alert he is.

Oh and and and, THIS IS IMPORTANT. KEIGOS WINGS ARENT CONSTANTLY SENSITIVE. We knows this because canonically, kids and adults touch and mess with his wings when he deals with his fans. We only see his feathers detect sounds, vibrations, etc. when he concentrates to do so. Meaning he needs a lot of brainpower to "listen in" through his feathers. If they were constantly sensitive, then he wouldn't be able to use them during combat, rescue, or near others.

Fantasy AU where Hawks is the Fey King, and in search of a new mate, a Queen to rule by his side. He spots you during one of his human realm visits and is absolutely enamoured by you. He tries, he tries to court you, tries to win you over. You knew he was Fey, so you kept your wit about him. He never asked for your name which was strange. But it clicked when you fell right into his trap, when you fell in love with him. You told him your name on your own accord, that's when he knew we won you over. You felt stupid for doing such, but when taken back to the Fey realm, you were spoiled rotten by him. His new mate, his new Queen.

Hawks who isn't into sports, but some how knows everything about them. Turns out he is really good at Baseball with a world record fast ball that broke the batter's bat, and almost killed the umpire. Now Hawks is banned from playing pitcher whenever he is invited to join in Baseball events.

Im gonna be on the road for Keigo's birthday. While I can't celebrate it as I hoped, Happy Early birthday to our beloved Winged Hero Hawks!

Just the idea of Hawks continuously calling out to someone from above if they are okay, even trying to sense their hearbeat with his feathers. He gets no response so he finally goes down to check on them a bit panicked, only to realize its a scarecrow that looks disturbingly human. He takes a moment to release the breath he was holding, then questions who the fuck puts a scarecrow in an ally way.

I like to think that at some point, while Hawks was flying, he hit a bird. Like, unintentionally ran into a bird and both of them almost fell but managed to stop themselves and fly again. Now Hawks has to actually pay attention as he flys rather than going on auto-pilot.

Not me looking at a video of Hawks (the bird) from a front side view and realizing the feathering under their beak look interesting, then realizing the facial hair of Hawks (character) matches that look.

I have over like, 20 stickers of Hawks, but no idea what to do with them. Any ideas?

Sometimes I like to think that Hawks will go days with improper sleep, and it doesn't show much except for the bags under his eyes when he takes photos with fans. People think the bags are due to hard work and non-stop crime fighting, and while true, it's mainly because he gets maybe 3 to 4 hours of sleep a night. Then when sleep finally catches up to him, he ends up sleeping for a whole week straight, only waking up from being hungry, and ends up in cranky moods. When he gets calls as to where he is, in a grumpy mood he just mumbles "sleepy", or "leave me alone". Bird man needs his rest but can't properly care for himself.

Some late night/ early morning thoughts:

Thinking about how after Endeavor, Hawks, and Best Jeanist are apologizing to Japan for all the lies and secrets they held from the public, and when Hawks is apologizing he looks very formal and his apology practiced. However, those who know Hawks on a bit more of a personal level, such as Rumi, Dabi, Tokoyami, his mother, etc., notice that Hawks is on the verge of a breakdown and are terrified that he masks his emotions so well, and that the crowd and other people don't notice that Hawks is a scared child who for once, doesn't know what to do, and he can't hide behind his wings or sleeves of his jacket. All he can do is put up his walls and hope for this press meeting to end so he can go lock himself up in his room and breakdown in solitude, where no one can see him at one of his lowest points in life.

Forgot I was working on this... I should finish it at some point.

Been coughing like crazy, so now I imagine Hawks patrolling and swallowing a bug because his mouth was open so he ends up having a coughing fit and has to land and buy a water bottle and ends up chugging the whole bottle before paying for it, then flies off realizing he forgot to pay then went back and apologized before giving double the amount the water bottle cost.

Got struck with Covid so I decided to reblog one of my more favorite comfort posts.

I've been sick this past week so I decided to write some Hawks fluff. Slightly self indulgent.

Hawks when he notices your sick

It was only 7 in the morning when Hawks was getting ready for work. You were still asleep in bed, which Hawks found odd. Normally you would have been awake by now, but today you were still under the covered, your body slightly shaking. Hawks walked over to you and took in your features, mouth slightly agape as your lips were reddened, skin pale. He took off his glove and felt the top of your head, you were burning up. He frowned slightly before looking at his watch, he still had time. He decided to fly out to the local convenient store and buy a few items then came back home to drop the items off. He laid a kiss a top your forehead before flying off to work.

An hour or so later, you finally wake up, hot and feverish as you blink the sleep away. A chest hurting cought erupted from your throat as you groan in discontent. Looking around you find the room empty and cold, but on the nightstand next to you, you spot a glass of water, a bag, and a note. You pick up the note and read it over, 'Got you some things to combat your sickness, get well soon! -H.' You place the note down and pick up the bag, searching its contents. Some pills, most likely Ibuprofen or Tylenol, a few cans of different soups, and different types of tea. You smiled at the gesture and opened the bottle of pills. You popped two in your mouth and took a sip of water to wash them down. You decided to go about your day normally, every so often taking medicine or making tea. A cold shower helping reduce the fever and you ultimately feeling better.

The sun had finished setting when the front door opens, a voice calling out.

"I'm home!" Hawks' voice rang out.

You turned to greet him, a bowl of soup in hand as you were making your way to the table. Hawks closed the door and took off his boots as he came by to check your temperature. Your fever had gone down greatly, but you still didn't feel 100%. He gave you a sad smile as he sighed, taking a seat by you at the table.

"Feeling better?" He asked.

"I am thanks to you." You commented.

He smiled and took the spoon away from you, feeding you instead. The rest of the night, he dedicated his time taking care of you and treating your sickness. The following morning you woke up before him, as per usual, and worked on making breakfast. A few bit of time going by before he woke up and greeted you, sleep still fresh on his face. You greeted him back, a smile on your face, and you feeling way better than yesterday. He seemed to notice, and perked up at your cheery mood. He set up the table and waited, both of you enjoying breakfast together and ready to start your day.
