This is ironic as hell because just two days ago, I wrote this as a concept.
I associate Ollie with eyes. After all, they can see you… always.
They know you saw the shrine.
They know you entered the gas production zone.
They know you’ve grabbed the key they sent.
Friendly as they sound, are they really looking out for you?
They might, as their eye flashes red in the trailer when danger approaches, as if to alert you…. But they could have just led Yarnaby right to you.

Chapter 4 contains a lot of things that already exist in my AU, such as the cave system and jail. Awesome! I’m hoping they overlap, and also that we get more Ollie content since I want to see if I’m right.
In my head at least, Ollie is a test subject (NOT a toy) who was used for transplant testing. They survived with plastic skin. Watching children around them suffer under the knowledge they provided, Ollie slowly descends into a panicky, flighty, control freak mindset; the only way to stop the experiments reciprocating onto others is to see everything, all at once, all the time. And only then will they have enough blackmail to convince Harley Sawyer to stop.

Asking because originally it was going to be under A Grand Announcement, but it feels like it could work as a standalone. Also people found me originally through goofy Smiling Critter one-shots and this is the closest to that!
So basically
Would you prefer
Finding it as the third chapter in A Grand Announcement (makes more story sense) OR
Finding it as a one-shot (much more accessible, easy to find, and more open instead of having to search through chapters)
I know I can take ten years to write but THIS chapter is something I’m excited for!!
Here’s the plan!!!
Get idiots ready for the Toy Tour, reasonably hyped
Slam-dunk them onto the train
Introduce the nightmare critters - they’re forced to share a train carriage
Make the critters go “:0” as they’re given rooms while Dogday shits himself because he can’t sleep beside BigNap
Introduction to Ollie and the realisation they’ve turned into a dictator
Grand dinner night and the official announcement of the start of training
Slow realisation that the Toy Tour is rigorously controlled
Mass panic, leading to threats of Destroy-A-Toy
The Tour is now a concentration camp where anyone who objects is killed or threatened
Optional additional ideas:
Someone’s poisoned at the dinner party
Ollie teaches the other toys about things like racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia etc and they’re all horrified because these toys have never seen those concepts before (at least, not that they’re aware of)
Dogday makes friends with Infox, who is @thattiredgamer’s OC; Kather, who is @i-am-in-the-mind-fuck’s OC, and SourTail, who is @bazyboo13’s OC
Possibly a snippet or mention of the cult. You’re not meant to know Destroy-A-Toy’s being ruled by the kitty queen, but for those already in the know it would be great foreshadowing!
Teach the toys the Footloose dance because it would be really funny as a training exercise

Here’s my idea. The Nightmare Critters represent how the world outside has changed, and how Dogday struggles to cope with change as a whole. Both sets of Critters are forced into a train ride together and DO NOT get along.
I’ll wait for all eight to be revealed, but so far, my plan is that Simon, Rabie and Poe would act as the boss’s spies. ESPECIALLY Rabie. She’s why the boss knows everything about everyone, plus the boss’s own investigations.
So either, they’re just another toy type who gets prosecuted or they play a SIGNIFICANT role.

The plot of DAT is toys who rebel are bad and killed, and they don’t get rights. Which is funny because the holder of the event is openly non-binary and forced their way into that position for the sole purpose of getting the toys rights.

they look so silly - Yes, I decided to give em blue secondary color in palms/soles and arms/legs cause reasons
And despite the fact that Matt has the hat on the sketch, it actually changes its owner. It`s like their "talking ball" (that stuff where in the crowd the holder of a ball is the only one who is allowed to speak, so no one will interrupt the talker)

- Kissy's outfit is inspired by her official posters and also that cloth she supports her arm with in ch4
I saw people draw stars on this cloth and at first I thought it was a headcanon or sth, but NO, there is actually some sort of stars and moon pattern on it!
- the bow she's wearing as a bracelet is actually Huggy's. Kissy lost hers in the fight with the Prototype, so Huggy gave his to her
- Kissy didn't lose her arm because the plan to blow everything up wasn't set in motion
- however her right eye was so badly injured that it went blind. Kissy now wears an eye patch and she doesn't like it when someone draws attention to her scars
- oh and i draw tails on them optionally. Idk they're just funny monkey creatures to me
Also I've found out today that Kissy canonically has a soft spot for drawing and writing, and my heart melted
Protecc her at all costs fr fr😭💕

I recently discovered PoppyPlaytime and it’s cool so i made an oc!
This is my oc Rory!
And A few crumbs of info for ‘em lol:
- Rory knew Mattew and Kevin before they got experimented on, and they were friends with them, expecially with Kevin
- They didn’t arrive at the safe heaven right away, they arrived when was already in charge of it and had been for a while. It took the both of them a while to actually recognize each other.
-They do their best to help out Doey at the safe heaven as much as they possibly can
- They tend to joke a lot, to brighten the mood mostly tho they’re no stranger to spit out a joke in a serious situation sometimes. They also tend to talk everyone’s ear off, its rare seeing them silent
I will add some more info when i perfection their backstory a bit lmao

So basically in this AU almost everyone survived the events of ppt, as the name implies
The toys escaped the facility and now hide in a safe place where playtime co never finds them🤭
Huggy, Kissy and Doey are like parental figures, so it's common to see them covered in smaller toys. Mini wuggies obviously prefer Huggy's company, so he's a happy and very tired dad

Okay. Not much new art, but more story-related stuff for this post.
I want to try and dive into how Doey and Gabby's relationship is after the events of Chapter 4 because there's... Potential. For some good ol' angst.
Kissy is missing from this post but I'd like to develop stuff with her too, ESPECIALLY her non-verbal communication aspect. I think it'd be really interesting if both her and Gabby learned ASL together so that they could both understand each other better.
Gave Ava a sort of more fleshed out design. Then later realized I basically gave her one of my siblings personality and I think that's hilarious. And of course I'm gonna keep it that way.
Since Gabby is a self-insert per say, I've gotta make it work with the OG plot of the story since he's too young to be an ex-employee of the factory :'))) (he's also French like I am... Which could result in some funny moments imo lmao) (I also REALLY need to change his name because I don't want him to be named like me so I've gotta work on that too)
