I’m considering giving Poppy a superiority complex. She’s one of the only perfect toys out there and therefore shares no sympathies with the imperfect toys. They are beneath her, and she doesn’t understand why they shouldn’t be killed.
“If they don’t work, what’s the point of keeping them?”
The question is, when she finds out what Playtime Co. is doing, does she agree or rebel?

My Name is Ollie, nice to meet you!
In Chapter three, we're introduced to Ollie. I personally like the theory that he's just simply the Prototype mimicking the voice of the actual Ollie who most likely is long gone(depending if he either was experimented or died after the Hour of Joy). We do know at some point, Ollie was in fact an orphan as he does have his own room in Home Sweet Home.
Now others think that he's his own toy and is just an experiment helping out Poppy like how Kissy is helping. Some argue that certain toys are shown to have child-like voices like giggling from the mini critters so it could be plausible an experiment like him just kept his young voice.
My issue with him being another experiment that simply calls you is more based off of a information perspective. In this same chapter, we learn that the Prototype can mimic voices and here we have is a "kid" speaking to us with the use of a phone while never actually appearing in front of us, it would make sense for that to be the hint of not trusting Ollie. But if he was an experiment, why would they give him a young, childish voice. It would make more sense if Playtime Co. adjusted the vocal cords where they don't sound at all like children as some orphans might pick up on that so to have Ollie as an experiment just keep his child-like voice while every other character that truly talks have adult voices doesn't make sense to me.
Also other things that make sense for Ollie being the Prototype is the fact that Ollie never speaks when the Prototype appears and only speaks before and right after the encounter with the Prototype. He also knows exactly where we are, talks about the shrines with excitement like he's proud of what Catnap made, sort of jokes about missing limbs after the Player's encounter with Dogday, speaks in a monotone/robotic way, and knows about Catnap's backstory claiming that it's a story that they say which is a bit weird as how would the other toys know that Catnap got into an accident and was saved and that's why he worshipped the Prototype? Catnap doesn't seem speak much if at all most of the time and no other character mentions about Catnap's backstory. Dogday explains that Catnap sees the Prototype as his god without explaining why. Miss Delight just simply works with Catnap and reports to the Prototype, she never mentions about Catnap's background either.
So that's why I drew Ollie like this, he's supposed to represent a frame of a kid that Ollie could've looked like but something isn't right. His left arm reveals the Prototype's hands as he happily calls us. I also think it would be interesting if Poppy doesn't know about this and it's like nobody is truly on the same side which is a fun concept that I don't see as often.
Ollie needs more canon screen time but in the meantime since MOB Entertainment hasn’t mentioned/teased anything else about him let me just…

Contrary to their appearance, this is NOT a child. This isn’t even a toy.
Green is the colour of safety, which can be both legitimate and false.
Orange is a rejection of poppy red. It is a reflection of their old, natural body.
Pink is to appear feminine, sweet and appealing.
Purple is a royal colour. It represents luxury and power. Purple is represents Catnap.
Primary colours are a no-go unless for manipulative purposes. While Ollie can’t help that their phone is red, yellow and blue, behind the speaker is someone who has sworn off those colours. This also represents how they initially appear to be working for the company but are instead planning to sabotage it.

Recently learned that no, it is not clear what happened to Ollie in Smaller Bodies.
(Context is I asked a new cult member if he knew what had happened to Ollie)
The person then said he didn’t know what the experiments were, and the most he could infer was from Miss Delight’s account in Curtains.
Therefore:
You don’t know what happened after the hospital sequence
You don’t know what experiments were done on them
You don’t know too much about how they got to run the phones

Culture of the Destroyed ⛓️💥✨
~.*COME TO OUR LAND, OUR LAND OF LOVE*.~
So you’ve been accepted into the Cult of the Destroyed! But what is there to expect once inside?
Origin
Our beloved cult was founded in 1991 by the beautiful, holy and sacred Moon Queen. She breathed her dreamsmoke upon our oppressors and rive them to madness - while granting us the sweetest visions of our lost past. Legends say that the Queen was once a prisoner to the execution grounds… until her illustrious influence inspired a coup in her followers.
Though it began shakily, held on the backs of terrified refugees and convicts, each toy banded together in the name of once-cursed innovation to seek methods of survival. Just when all seemed lost, the Moon Queen discovered something. Seeds. And once food and water were secure, the Cult of the Destroyed began to flourish.
Layout
The Cult resides within Playtime Co.’s recycling plant, colloquially named “Destroy-A-Toy” by humans and toys alike. The warehouse is enormous and stocked with machinery, sorted goods, disposable garbage (ripe for the picking!) and many, many execution methods. Be it crushing from the plant’s crown conveyor belt, incineration from the heat pits, dismemberment from the dangerously whirring fan blades or - God forbid - digestion from the monstrous carnivore who resides inside, the cultists of Destroy-A-Toy have near-infinite ways to deal with intruders and traitors alike.
The plant’s centre is an enormous rectangular prism with an extremely high vaulted roof. In its centre sits the main conveyor belt, which leads to the crushing block. This is a gathering space and where the executions take place. The conveyor is only ever activated when the cult is legitimately in danger; therefore, the space is used for socialising, entertainment and general silly shenanigans.
To the left are the living quarters:
Rooms, tents, blocks etc.
Food court and banquet hall
The medical tent
The nursery
Most ritual activities
And to the right are the more industrial aspects of the facility:
Recycling chute
Incineration, dismemberment and digestion wings
Cell block (repurposed to hold humans)
Water purification systems
Catwalks to the cavern
The cavern leads to an enormous lake of water found under the plant. Destroy-A-Toy is powered electrically so it’s uncertain why such a large body of water exists, but what the cultists DO know is that it contains an underwater tunnel network that could potentially lead outside the toy factory if any were brave enough to dive. This lake is is filled with fish carefully managed by the Queen’s people.
The importance of the lake:
Provides drinking water once purified
Provides cleaning water
Allows crops to grow with the assistance of floodlights
Both recreational and educational fishing
The lake has been decorated with bioluminescence, fairy lights and cave paintings and is a beautiful sight to behold.
Food
Light, water and seeds are required for the cult’s agriculture. They take great delight in their cooking and host weekly banquets to celebrate their achievements. Toys were often starved as convicts and are therefore thoroughly fed under the Moon Queen’s care. Over time and through the assistance of a mysterious supplier, the Destroyed have learned to cook potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, peas, cabbage, spinach and corn. The incineration plants are used to cook, boil, steam and fry food. Most is served with fresh fish from the lake. Delicious!
This is California. The fish are ABUNDANT. And her beloved majesty is a cat, after all. If only she could grab some chicken… sigh.
Style/Aesthetic
Destroy-A-Toy represents freedom. Therefore, it adores:
Bright, pretty colours
Regal and imposing architecture mixed with cutesy little inhabitants
VEGETATION. These guys LOOOOVE their plants. Vines, trellises, leaves - since they’ve never been outside, they’re cherishing what they have. The living quarters particularly are filled with green space.
Gentle, coloured lights and bioluminescence
Celestial bric-a-brac - sun, moon, stars
Bead curtains outside the tents
Jewels/jewellery. Very celestial and goddess-y
Stuffing, coloured clothes patches etc. to fit the “toy” heritage

Rituals
Many of its rituals are hidden from outsiders… but you’re in the cult now, so you deserve to know!
The most important ones you must know are the Executions, the Campfire and the Cuddle Puddle.
Executions take place when traitors, prisoners or abusers are officially condemned. These are bloodthirsty public ceremonies that are NOT for the faint of heart. Just a casual reminder to never piss Catnap off.
The Campfire is the cult’s local worship ritual. The cult will gather around the conveyor belt, where a ring of fire is constructed. The Queen is seated in the centre. Music is performed and a dance celebration occurs - and, at the song’s climax, Catnap will release her smoke, iniviating worship.
The Cuddle Puddle is everyone’s favourite. According to the Moon Queen, “One cannot be happy when affected by the bad vibes! So we mush squiiiiiiish the bad vibes out! Very cuddly.”

Meeeet Fufu! She’s an early CraftyCorn - before the mythical species was changed from kitsune to unicorn. Favourite thing is that she doesn’t have a coloured belly - just like CraftyCorn!
VERY early concept Smiling Critter - different eyes, for one. They brought her to life but never let her out to Playcare. She had outlived her… “use”. She split into Bobby Bearhug and CraftyCorn.
Sweet and gentle, never wants to cause harm… until she knocked over a test tube and the whole lab went up.
Her home is in Destroy-A-Toy now with the other rejects! ❤️

Writing dilemma! Working on Destroy-A-Toy's first installment. The problem is that it takes place in 1991 while the fic is meant to take place in 1995.
Smaller Bodies = 1991
Destroy-A-Toy = 1995
Yet the first DAT fic is in 1991. I'm considering making it a flashback, sharply jumping at the very end to a paragraph break with Dogday sighing and thinking back at how the chapter happened 'four years ago'. The only problem with THAT is there are two more fics planned that also deal with the repercussions of what happened in 1991.

First one introduces a new character, the second one explains why Dogday's bandana has suns on it (since in the written works it's just been plain yellow) and the third one goes over KickinChicken's blindness. After these three "worldbuilding" fics, the ultimate 1995 plot begins.
This is a problem for me because it doesn't roll with the strict time jump... unless it's three consecutive flashbacks. Call me a writing nerd but that seems like a weak excuse to me. Maybe I'm nitpicking, feel free to call me out for being too particular with the way I write...

The next series features Dogday struggling to cope with Catnap’s “death” before a source willing to help him reveals that - no, Catnap is not dead, but she’s in a land full of cultists…

There's a new toy on board! Introducing BigNap! (Unless a more eloquent name is suggested!)
Sarificed for research and condemned to an unsustainable body, Theodore Grambell's old body has melted away at the hands of Miss Delight and Harley Sawyer. His mind has been reignited in a different vessel - one twelve feet tall and with the power to tear a school bus in half.
But it's alright, because while BigNap may be vengeful and venomous, he's quite the dear little kitty to those dang Smaller Bodies in the Playcare.
So much so that he's introduced in the very first chapter of Destroy-A-Toy! It's underway!
Now, Bigger Bodies Catnap's question is:
(He asks because his debut is in the very first story for DAT and therefore his formatting must be worked out.)
How This Creature Works
Big Catnap, as colloquially named by the Critters, children and teachers of the Playcare, is the new-and-improved replacement for that old, faulty thing who cried too much. He is twelve feet tall and an absolute tank - if you ignore the protruding ribcage and ominous growling stomach.
Appearance
The same as the Catnap found in the original Poppy Playtime. Big Catnap is a large, scrawny creature with a protruding spinal chord and disconcerting slices of ribcage jutting from his paper-thin skin. His eyes are minuscule and set deep into mouth-like sockets. His fur is abyssal-dark felt soft to the touch.
Deep inside his throat, if one were to look, pipes could be found. Who knows what they produce?
Personality
Quiet, docile and allegedly "friend-shaped" (according to my friend Foxfire), this Catnap looks like he can kill you but is in fact a cinnamon roll. At least, to people he likes. Otherwise you can expect yourself to be on the plate.
BigNap is possessive over the Playcare children and loving towards toy experiments - but has a VERY strong hostility to humans. This is an issue because of the upcoming Toy Tour…
Theodore gasses the children not out of obligation but out of concern for their health and sleep.
Biology
A creature of this size requires LOTS of food. The problem is - he isn’t given the correct amount. Why drain resources for an experiment that may not survive anyway? As such, Big Catnap is constantly just one bite off from a full belly.
His tank possesses MUCH greater quantities of poppy gas - however, it’s watered down. The gas:
Takes up to 10 minutes to knock out children and 30 for adults
Does not leach oxygen
Works slowly but surely to lull the victim to sleep
This is NOT how Smaller Bodies Catnap works. Her smoke is quick-working and oppressive while this Catnap works much more as a calm, steady, peaceful lull to sleep.

A BITCH. Nowhere near as innocent and bubbly as they were before. Four years of being treated like a toy plus Theodore’s death turned Ollie cynical. Still retains their old personality with friends though.
Company administrator and the Head of Communications and the security system
Holding Playtime Co. at the THROAT with blackmail. They got a hold of the nearest working phone and threatened to dox every single illegal experiment the company had done straight to the news channel. Their conditions are that they can maintain a position of power at the company and have a say in how the experiments are treated.
Still 4’ tall, still has a child’s voice
NEVER wears blue, red or yellow (minus the jeans). This is to spite the company.
Also never wears shoes to spite the one time Theodore called them a goody two-shoes. Wears Catnap socks to honour his memory
