Ok, Pearl can be a bit... aggressive and stubborn, how she arguing with Pink Pearl... that is not the wise Pearl we know
BUT
Despite they were arguing just second ago, Pearl try to protect and save PP from Steven
She didn't run to him to calm down, she stay to protect PP from him, from Pink Diamond anargy
She realize that she may help not only Steven, but she have a lot of another humans and gems she can help, and it makes her so mature!

I doodled this at Botcon and liked it enough to clean it up. At first it was Pearl giving lessons on being graceful, after Prowl tried in the show, but then I realized these two have something significant in common: both characters are the last ones either their team (Bulkhead) or the audience (Pearl) expected to have mechanical expertise. (Well, Bulkhead just had space bridges, but that was a big deal, alright.)
So hereβs Pearl giving suggestions on how to improve the space bridge tech while Bulkhead ponders.
I tried to bullhead my way through a pseudo-watercolor thing. I like how some of it turned out; others, not so much. Gonna work on thatβ¦and look at tablets again.
Right... Because Pearl is not a character designed by Rebecca and she clearly can not do her as she want, is it?t. How insulting, jerk.

I donβt know if this can be called an au, BUT Pearl is a mercenary with a dog, simply doing what he wants and doing all sorts of work. Jem is the daughter of a noble family, who is frenzied by life within 4 walls.
Well, I think the reason why they will meet is already clear.
One will want to take a walk outside the city, and for the other itβs easy money, so why not))))

Steven Universe Spoilers! If you haven't seen the new episodes don't read! My theory
So we know that the Diamonds have their own special set of powers. Blue with her wave of sadness, Yellow with the concentrated blast of electricity capable of poofing a gem. So Pearl said that Rose had the capability of controlling plant life. So is that Pink's power?
Also we saw all of thoose bubbled Rose Quartz. Did Pink have the same facet of them? How was it not noticeable when Pink was gone? Eyeball states that she saw Rose Quartz shatter Pink herself. Was there anyone else there? Was she the only witness? How did Pearl get away in time and did anybody noitice that Pink's pearl just disapeered? Do the other Pearls know? We see thier reactions when Blue Zircon asked where was her Pearl.
Anyway moving on. We know that Pearl can't speak of this. Is this a power of the Diamonds? Not a theory, just wondering.
