I still can't stop looking at this until now

Im totally not writing a medieval Nimona au where I promised I'd do some doodles of the designs BC I wanted an in-between design of Blackheart and Boldheart, on AO3 nuh uh

I was trying to make a Nimona au with Ballister being some powerful God (or Archon or Celestial or whatever you want to call it) only to realize that I accidentally made him like Raiden Ei...

I even made an a child oc for him that was abandoned like Scaramouche, but only Ballister didn't bring the puppet to life, someone else did and isn't aware about it while the puppet thought he abandoned them (I mean, he technically did, just not when they were brought to life)

(I don't actually have the game and I'm quite new to the Genshin Impact fandom, so correct me if I got the two character's story wrong...)

I am very tempted to make a Resident Evil: Village version (Specifically Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters) of an au that I have not posted yet.

"Why would you make a Resident Evil version of your nimona au?"

Because in that au, Ballister is not human, and is very tall, and I have 3 goldenheart children ocs, it fits them perfectly! (Or maybe I should have only 2 children oc and have Nimona be the third...)

But I probably have to post that au and the goldenheart children before I post the Resident Evil version...

Disclaimer: I have actually never watched Resident Evil before, but I have seen a few clips of Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters and that's where I got the idea from

"Golden Guardian AU"

This is my take on Guardian Angel Ballister from this AU, this AU idea was created by @luciano-nightstar (check out their AU right here!

I found this AU interesting and when I saw their ideas for Ballister's design, WOHOHO, You know I had to try drawing it.

I do have alternative outfit designs for him, I'll do it later though, after I finished another art I was doing!

This the second part of my last post about the tale of the Blackheart angel

(I don't actually know the whole storyline of the comic version. I've seen a few pictures, but not really enough to say I've read it)

After Ambrosius was taken in by the institute, he met Ballister, a teacher who trains the students at the institute to become knights. - (You might think that this is some kind inappropriate adult x teenager relationship kind of shit. But I swear in the judgement of the ✨oratrice mecanique d'analyse cardinale✨ that it's NOT what the backstory is about, okay? Ballister only fell in love with Ambrosius AFTER the event of Nimona)

Ballister would be there to help Ambrosius with his studies and defend him from the other trainees when they bullied him.

Ambrosius first idolize and looked up to Ballister because if his skill and teaching as a knight and because he defended him from the bullies. But in the later years he secretly fell in love with him (like he always would).

During the jousting competition, Ambrosius has to win a joust against his teacher in order to be proven that he can become a knight. Of course Ballister wins the joust, Ambrosius hated loosing and shot Ballister's arm off. - (I am again debating if Ballister should actually loose his arm or have angelic regeneration...)

Skip to Nimona and Ballister's argument. When Nimona scratches the back of the couch and starts to turn a bit monstrous, instead of grabbing the sword, Ballister turns into his fallen form as an act of defense again Nim.

Skip again to the battle. Ballister tries to calm the the monster form of Nimona, but in the end he was forced to defend himself (and the kingdom) by turning into fallen form and defeated the monster with his demonic side (or powers). (So that means that Meredith's device is not broken, ✨yay✨)

Skip to the hospital scene. Ballister did not have a broken left arm because of ✨angelic regeneration✨. Speaking of regeneration, he secretly made Ambrosius's healing progress faster while he was in the coma.

✨ Design Ideas ✨

This is my original idea for his design

Five eyes (Two version if it because I thought it looks cool in my head and I couldn't choose which one) -Version 1: two above his normal eyes and the third vertically on his forehead. -Version 2: two below his normal eyes and the third on his forehead.

Black horns curving backwards with a red vein-like design, two gold halos with eyes criss-cross covering his normal eyes.

Six "burned" wings; The feather color/design is from black on the top, to a mix color of black and gold on the middle, then fading to light gold on the bottom. (why do I have an addiction to adding gold? ;-;)

A long black tail, a red crystal with black vein coming out of it on the center of his back, and black marking on his arms and legs.

Yeah the design is the same as the Golden Guardian but in a fallen form.

Some headcannons

(Some are reused from the Golden Guardian au. Also, same thing, your guess on which one is cannon on my au)

Ballister can hide his wings, halos, horns, tail, and his many eyes.

He can make himself invisible to humans and other creatures. Another fact about his invisibility is that he can make himself visible to whoever he chooses.

Another idea on how Ballister escape other than using his invisibility. There were times when Ballister would have had no chance to escape, and when the guards finally caught up to him, they would see that he was no longer there. I had this idea where Ballister can turn into a shadow and hide within shadows of other objects or just easily escape.

Since I heard that Nimona can see the dead, I thought of this idea that even if Ballister is in his human form to others, he's always in his fallen form in her eyes.

There was a once time during training years when Ambrosius accidentally finds Ballister in his fallen form. But since he only witnessed it once and has a bad memory, so he has already forgotten about it.

Speaking of bad memory. When Ballister is alone and/or comfortable, he would temporarily reveal his fallen form (but only inside the house), and Ambrosius would freak out it. (Cue brosius screaming for the second, maybe third, time of the month after seeing Bal in his fallen form)

I thought it would be wholesome that Ballister would carry Ambrosius and fly with him on a peaceful and quiet night. Sometime Amb would enjoy the ride, sometimes he would be frighten from how high they are and would hold on tight to Ballister.

A few moments when Ballister would secretly use his powers when fighting alone with Ambrosius. But he mostly is against using his powers in battle because "it wouldn't be a fair fight."

In rare moments, Ballister would use his wings to hold brosius close.

Ballister normally has his horns out, but only inside the house. Because Zee likes to look at it, touch it, and even sometimes try to decorate them with gold accessories. Blackheart's tail is actually sensitive to he rarely let's Amb touch it.

There were a few conversations of Nimona trying to convince Ballister to start a cult because of the whole fallen angel thing.

Meredith found out when Ballister was stretching his body and (unconsciously) stretched his wings too. This is my thought on what her honest reaction was. "Oh, cool" *continues to do whatever she was doing*

This is very long, but not as long as the golden guardian version. Anyways, I also tried to color the names and used as many nicknames as I know because I thought it would look cool. Also, sorry it took long, I lost motivation and my au notes.

since my last post was a guardian angel au, let show my fallen angel au. Now believe it or not, but this a tale that I made for the fallen angel au on how Ballister became a fallen angel. If your asking why is the tale is about Blackheart instead of Boldheart, well there is a simple explanation to that... This was originally made for the comic version. Anyways, this is a part 2.1 because the details and the (uncomplete) storyline will be in another post. Have fun with this one for now.

The tale of the Blackheart Angel

Thousands of years before mankind came into existence, it began with the betrayal of Lucifer, an archangel who rose up against Heaven and was cast down to the darkest corner of the abyss. With him fell his followers, a legion of demonic spirits who joined him in his quest for eternal domination.

However, one angel, Ballister Blackheart, found himself manipulated and corrupted by Lucifer, only to later realize his grave mistake. He chose to turn away from the demonic pact that threatened to consume the mortal world. As the other angels fell, Ballister felt the pull of their power, but his mind was strong enough to resist the allure of darkness.

With eternal punishment awaiting him in Heaven and the abyss ready to consume him, Ballister faced a difficult choice. He chose instead to flee and find refuge among the mortal world that was made for God's humans. He hid his true identity and abilities, masking himself as a mere human. Though as much as would want to forget, he could not erase his past or the power that flowed through his veins.

As a result of his dark choices, Ballister developed a few demonic traits while maintaining his angelic heritage, becoming a force to be reckoned with. However, he knew that if his true identity was ever revealed, Heaven and Hell would come down on him with untold wrath. Therefore, he decided to keep a low profile while using his powers for the greater good.

Ballister's past as an archangel continued to haunt him, and he struggled to grapple with the memories of his time in Heaven and the choices that led to his downfall. And so, the tale of the Blackheart angel lives on, a powerful story of redemption, regret, and the struggle between light and dark.

(A part of me wants to remake the tale.. but that's gonna be a problem for future me because these are call "Nimona unfinished aus" for a reason)

I call this the Golden Guardian au

Same events for this au, but Ballister is a guardian angel

He was originally Gloreth's guardian angel (not sure if I should do it before or after she met Nimona). Before her death, Gloreth prayed for someone to protect her descendant and guide them to good. And since Ballister was her guardian to begin with, he got a new job to be the guardian angel for her descendants for the next generation until the bloodline has ended.

Ballister took his job seriously to protect and guide Gloreth's descendants so that they could end up in heaven. After seeing at lease 3 or 4 generations feeling pressured to be like their great grandmother, Ballister decided to pretend to be a human and befriend those descendants to help them cope with their pressure in being a perfect knight. He saw how much he helped ease their anxiety, and decided this would be a normal thing he would do for the next generations to come.

Now to Ambrosius. Ballister thought of a different way to get close and befriending to the young Ambrosius, which is to join the knight. For two reasons - Since Ambrosius has been training since probably after being a toddler, he would feel comfortable to have someone close to train with him. - Second reason is that he noticed how awful noble's perspective are with commoners are. And Ballister believed that he can change the mindset of people about commoners by pretending to be one then becoming a knight and protecting them.

So he shapeshifted into a commoner kid then snuck in and, with the power and kindness and help of the queen (may God bless her kind hearted soul), he was given a chance to become a knight.

(Oh how that different approach backfires badly...)

Same thing with the knighting ceremony, the queen unexpectedly gets killed by Ballister's sword and he takes all the blame for it (I can't decide if I should have Ballister lose his arm or not or have angelic regeneration and regenerate a new arm)

Alternative path 1

The stadium screen crashes on top of Ballister, but he surprisingly survives and escapes through the hole on the ground that was made from the crash.

Ballister finds an abandoned tower and hid in there to process what has happened to him. In the end, he decided to return to Heaven to apologize and beg for forgiveness from the queen for killing her, even though it wasn't his fault. And she forgives him because she knows he wouldn't do it.

Ballister returns back to earth to continue his job as a guardian angel, only to see that Ambrosius was a mess because of the whole ceremony incident, Ballister is now wanted in the whole kingdom, and he thought that Ballister dead because of the stadium screen crashing on top of him.

(That's where I left off with alternative path 1, and I don't have enough ideas on how to finish it, sorry not sorry)

Alternative Path 2

Same thing with the whole plot of the movie. Ballister tries his best to find who murdered the queen and prove his innocence.

Nimona (who's still a shapeshifter in this au) finds him in the tower while he was still in his angelic form. They first thought that he was a fallen angel because of the murder incident.

”Should we pillage a village? Oh! Maybe make a cult? Or, lay low until they don't remember and then we RISE LIKE A FIERY PHOENIX FROM THE ASHES AND OVER THROW THE GOVERNMENT! And the people will scream “AHH THE EVIL COMMONER KNIGHT IS ACTUALLY A FALLEN ANGEL AND HE HAS COME TO DESTROY US!!”...…or we could just talk. :)” "I'm not a fallen angel."

He attempts to shoo away Nimona. Reasoning? He doesn't want her to get hurt because of him, he sees him still being too young to even be involved in any of this (Just so you know, Ballister is one of the angels that existed before earth was made)

Skip to near end of the movie (I'm running out of ideas, help me). Instead of Nimona sacrificing himself it's Ballister, he transforms into his true angelic form and destroys the cannon before it could hit the kingdom. Nimona and Ambrosius hoped and prayed that Ballister would come back, but all there was left was white ashes slowly falling like snow flakes, Nimona hugs Ambrosius who hugs her back. Both mourning over what happened.

Physically Ballister is gone, but he was already an angel to begin with so he will regenerate his physical body back again. As soon as he destroyed the cannon he wakes up in front of the gates of Heaven with saint Peter asking if he's okay. He turns around and sees the Director falling down to the fiery pits of Hell (deserve).

Time skip, Nimona gets (platonically) close with Ambrosius only because it would be something Ballister would want from them and everyone sees Ballister as a hero and honored him.

Nimona goes back to the lair where she first met Ballister. She goes inside looking around her, reminiscing of the things they did together there. They smiled as he decorated the "murder wall" and saw one of the pictures that they took together during their small dance celebration. She held the picture close, then- "hey kid." "HOLY SH-"

I am debating if I want Ballister to reveal that he was a guardian angel to Ambrosius or not...

Alternative path 3

It's the same as path 2 but after Ballister sacrifices himself, he was sent to the courtroom of Heaven (yes Hazbin hotel refence) and was given two choices. The first choice was that he could stay as a guardian angel and continue to protect the Goldenlion bloodline like he did before, the second option was that he can become human and live amongst the mortal until his death.

(Your choice on which one he chose :D )

✨ Design Ideas ✨

But this was originally my idea for his angelic design

He had two gold halos with many eyes crisscross, covering the upper part of his face. Those two halos can transform into small hoops earring with eyes incase he doesn't want to use the covering halos.

A third halo slowly spinning behind his head, two eyes under his normal eyes (because angels do have a lot of eyes), six white wings with some gold feathers, a small crystal on the center of his back, and white marking all over his body (I added those last two because I thought it would look cool)

Also, for the clothes... I didn't have any ideas...

Some headcannons as well :)

During their training years, Ballister developed feelings for Ambrosius, but since it was the first time he fell in love, he wasn't aware that he was in love.

Even in his human form/disguise, Ballister can see and interact with other spirits.

Since I heard that Nimona can see the dead, I thought of this idea that even if Ballister is in his human form to others, he's always in his angelic form in her eyes.

When Ballister is angry in his angelic form, eyes would appear on his body and even some on the air, and the sound of his voice becomes a chorus (-like?)

His angelic sword can transform into different weapons that he could use. Like from sword, to a spear, then to a bow that can magically generate an arrow when pulling the bowstring.

I have a scenario idea where Ambrosius is out late doing his patrol duty when it suddenly rained. After a moment of silence and getting soak on the rain, Ballister used one of his wings to cover Ambrosius from the rain. And that is when Ambrosius first saw Ballister since the ceremony, with a "new" angelic look.

Another scenario is when Ambrosius is in deadly danger, and Ballister is forced to show himself in order to protect him. That is the first time when Ambrosius saw Ballister as an angel.

This is a lot of information about my au and you can definitely tell that this was my favorite...

Anyways, would you believe me if I said that I also made a fallen angel au called The Blackheart Angel au (it was originally made for the comic version, you can also call it An angel with a Boldheart if movie version) and another au called Celestials au? I will be making another post explaining those two aus and maybe a few more of my unfinished aus as well.

A Promise For Revenge

Hihi! So I saw that @riririkinzi has a Nimona demon slayer au comic so that is what I expanded upon. I hope that is what you meant. Also I’m sorry if any requests take a while, I’m a student and mostly only get time to write on the weekends. Thank you for your patience, enjoy!

TW: mentions of death, dead bodies, decapitation Please let me know if I should add anything else

“Caw!! dead!! caw!! dead!! Stone Hashira Ballister dead!! caw!!” Nimona froze. No, there is no way he’s dead. 

“He died after a confrontation with uppermoon two” 

That stupid crow didn’t know what it's talking about. Ballister is fine, he's somewhere being awesome and slaying demons with ease. The demon she was in the middle of fighting with pounced but was cut short by Nimona who swiftly decapitated with a trail of flames behind her. Nimona ran out the door and down random hallways not sure where she was going. She had to find Ballister just to make sure he didn’t any help because he was not dead. She ran down hallways opening doors at random.

Taking a sharp turn she ran into someone in just as much of a frenzy as she was, Ambrosius, “Have you seen Ballister!”

“No I was just looking for him but this stupid place has a million rooms and it keeps changing and that stupid bird said Ballister…” 

Nimona trailed off knowing the crows don’t say things that aren’t true. That realization and her anger manifested as tears streaming down her face before she knew what was happening. Ambrosious embraced her, his own tears escaping his eyes. Nimona’s body shook with sobs muffled by Ambrosious’ chest. 

“He can’t be…y’know he just can’t” Nimona’s voice came from her mouth, small and timid like a scared childs.

Memories of Ballister training with her, tending to her injuries as she re-told her battles, and dinners they had together with Ambrosius. Ballister had become such a big part of her life, what she was going to do. 

Ambrosius took a deep breath making eye contact with Nimona “He fought that uppermoon to make the world a safer place, even if it cost him his life” with a shaky breath he continued “We can’t let his sacrifice go to waste. We have to kill that demon”. His words were laced with venom as he talked about the demon that had taken Ballister away from him. 

Nimona sniffled and straightened up “That demon is going to regret even touching Ballister”. 

With that they both collected themselves and ran with a newfound determination letting their pain and grief fuel them. They searched every room they came across, quickly slaughtering any demons in their way. Eventually they opened a room with water covering the floor and bridges going in all different directions. Inside was a pale, blonde demon with a red dripping pattern on its hair. Surrounding it were piles of human bodies. The sight made Nimona and Amrosius sick. The demon turned around and they saw its eyes read uppermoon two. This was him, the demon who killed Ballister and Nimona was going to make good on her promise

The Corpse Knight; A Goldenheart Corpse Bride AU

So I had an idea long long long time ago that I shared with @mvjerbs about a Nimona au where Bal does end up succumbing to his injuries and ends up dying, but not before swearing that his true love must set his story straight and for the truth to be revealed before he can set himself free. Nimona finds his corpse and- feeling bad for it- made a half-way decent arm with twigs a d sticks before burying Ballister the best she could. Little did she know it would open the gate for the Netherworld, and a whole new adventure, for her to explore.

Ballister sinks into the piano seat in an isolated part of the netherworld, pushing the the keys with no intent to make music as his brows furrowed in frustration. If Nimona said that Ambrosius was betrothed to another, does that mean he no longer loved him? No longer cherished him? Was no longer promised to him?

He harshly pressed a bitter note that echoed through the netherworld. If the corpses and cadavers didn’t know he was angry yet they would now.

“Woah Boss, the news of blondie really pissing you off, huh?” A pink worm inched to him, their fuzzy body creeping along his outstretched hand made of twigs and bark as he sadly gazed at them.

“I suppose I’m not even suited to wear the lovely Sherwani you buried me in, there won’t be any wedding for me after all-“ the piano keys continued softly dropping. Like tears that Ballister could no longer cry.

The worm shifted, warm pink light filling the piano room until a python sat beside Ballister, slowly winding up at the wooden arm of his until he turned away from the piano and back to the python.

“Well you see, boss, the thing is that the blonde boy toy of yours wasn’t happy bout the news. The news reporters said something bout him storming into the woods in ‘uncontrollable delight’ and ‘fitting excitement’,” the python gave the corpse an imploring a look that python’s usually did not wear. Nimona, however, can look any way that will get the message across to her boss as his gaunt cheeks lift up in an amused smile.

“Can you do another favor for me then?” He asks, rubbing the dry wood up and down Nimona’s head, smiling at her pleased hiss. “Make sure he doesn’t do anything stupid.”

Nimona slithered away, still hearing the sad melody echo through the netherworld as she slithered up and up the wishing well.

She looks around once she was back to the living world, shifting into a dog and sniffing around till she found the spot. Digging just a little till the wooden hand is just a bit more visible and gleaming. “Luckily for boss, I’m a great events planner. Now all we need is for the groom to arrive-“

With a wolfish grin, she chased for the scent, preparing the long awaited wedding for the corpse knight.

Ever After High Nimona Au WHOOO!

More info on design and story under the cut. :)) and disclaimer, most of their stories are ones I completely made up cause I didn’t wanna butcher some old story and I couldn’t find ones that neatly fit so this also counts as original story time, I guess.

Ballister Blackheart- the next Belladonna Blackheart from the tale The Poisoned Princess.

Starting with the Boss, Ballister Blackheart is a rebel with a royally complicated past.

His mother was a villain who dutifully fulfilled her destiny despite her reservations against it, but when running away from the royal guards as the story goes, she accidentally took a wrong turn in the enchanted forest and was never seen again. With only a Baby Bal who bore her striking resemblance found from the long chase.

Queen Valerin Suremeyer, his mother’s cousin and ‘nemesis’ felt guilty at the boy’s situation and determines to raise him alongside her daughter, Meredith Suremeyer.

So Bal grows up with Valerin as a mother figure, Meredith as a lab partner and sibling, and enters his second year of Ever After High confused and conflicted on what he must do to fulfill his destiny, or if he even wants to fulfill his destiny at all. It doesn’t help when he rooms with the cute golden royal and befriends the strange pink transfer student.

Ambrosius Goldenlion- the next Gloreth Goldenlion in the tale The Lion Wall

Ambrosius is the grandson of the acclaimed Gloreth Goldenlion, guardian of the Lion Wall and protector of her kingdom’s borders. She was also known to have banished an evil monster that was threatening the entire Fairytale World.

They rooms with Meredith Suremeyer, an eccentric scientist from one of her favorite stories, The Poisoned Princess, and soon befriends both her and her brother, Ballister Blackheart. She avoids Ambrosius Goldenlion, feeling a strange sense of familiarity from him every time he smiles and bites into an apple.

Still, he feels ecstatic at all the secrets that are waiting to be explored on the new campus, and a certain underground librarian more than willing to help him unlock them.
