"Don't try to find a reason for somebody's love!"
whole cake islandš
this arc was truly a rollercoaster!!! i loved the part where they baked cake together<3! also im coming out as a pudding fan
i got so so crazy over details bc i wanted to give them the rococo period vibe, it was super fun but took forever!
For some reason, I find this scene really cute. Itās right after Usopp absolutely decks Klahadore (Captain Kuro) for running his mouth about Yasopp and even questioning if heās really Usoppās dad. Usopp storms off, feeling like crap, sitting at the cliff overlooking the shore, tossing rocks into the waterāwhen suddenly, Luffy pops up right in his space and goes, āHere you are!ā because heād been looking for him. Not just to find him, but because he knew Usopp needed validation. He knew Usopp was Yasoppās son, and more importantly, he knew Usopp was his. Luffy could tell Usopp felt like sh*t, and in the most Luffy way possible, he sought him outānot with a big speech, not with some grand gesture, but just by showing up. Because sometimes, thatās all you need.
People love to downplay Usopp and act like heās not one of Luffyās closest friends, but moments like this prove otherwise. His arc really highlights just how selfless Luffy is when it comes to the people he truly cares about. In this scene, Usopp was already his, and Luffy had already claimed himāUsopp just hadnāt caught on yet. Luffy had basically said, "You're my friend. I like you. And I'm gonna help you." And Usopp, completely oblivious, just screams at Luffy for scaring him.
Honestly, isnāt that the sweetest thing? Thatās why, when they argue and clash, it just hits different. Because they love each otherāsometimes a little too much, to the point where they donāt always know how to give each other what they need. But thatās what makes them them.
People say Zoro and Luffy are in sync, that theyāre soulmates in battle, but Usopp is the one who can hurt Luffy the mostāyet also lift him up in ways no one else can. Yeah, Luffyās the captain, and heās supposed to be mature and responsible, but Usopp is the one who reminds him that heās still just a 19-year-old. That sometimes, things arenāt that deep. But other times, they are, and Luffy needs someone to tell him that.
Usopp is the one who looks at the insanity of the Grand Line and says, āThis sh*t isnāt normal.ā And I think thatās what truly makes him Luffyās in a way no one else is. Even if he canāt support him like his wings in battle, Usopp is the one who, in a moment like Marineford, could have told him, āWhat happened to you wasnāt normal. And you donāt have to pretend it is.
Thatās why Usopp is his.
How funny that she never considered that.
"I'm sure he's got nothing to do with me!" says Luffy and I was waiting for him to say it. For him to hear all of this Nika lore and declare that, nope, I don't care, I'm not Nika, I'm not a liberator. It's just such a Luffy thing to do. But I know many fans actually will be shocked with Luffy's answer here or will just dismiss it. I have seen many opinions before that Luffy was always a liberator by choice, so becoming Nika is just natural course of events for him and he will have no problem embracing his role in the bigger scheme of things. Some even complained they hate that Luffy is Nika because they don't want Luffy to be the "fated hero" but instead a "from nobody to the king of the world" trope. But nope! Luffy just noped all of this himself.
Luffy is not a liberator and he's not an altruistic hero, he doesn't go from island to island aiming to save people, and if you think he wanted to, then please remember Fishmen Island and how unhappy he was with the idea of being a hero:
And now if you think Luffy changed since then because Dressrosa happened, then please remember what he asked of Momonosuke in Wano:
Yep, that's right. Luffy still *doesn't have any interest* in becoming a hero. If you think he's alright with that and changed his mind, then you're just not paying attention to him, sorry to say that. Luffy has been pretty consistent about this too and now he declared it yet again in Elbaf. It's the third time already.
You just think it's not a big deal because he so easily changed his mind in Fishmen Island, but it happened only because he had an actual reason to do that. Jimbei promised Luffy all the meat he wants. He gave him a *personal reason* to act like a hero, which is why Luffy agreed. And he did the same in Dressrosa. He wouldn't liberate that country if he didn't get attached first to Law and Rebecca (yes, in this order), and his crew to tontattas. They always do it for someone particular, for their friends. It's the same in Wano too, Luffy's constant motivation is Tama, Momo and Kinemon. He wants them to be happy, most of all, and he even says as much when he defeats Kaido: "I want a world where all of my friends can eat as much as they like".
There, he doesn't do it altruistically because he hates oppresion and villains who thrive on pain of common people and he can't stand seeing it. Yes, he probably thinks it's unfair, but he also grew up in Goa Kingdom, the very definition of unfair regime. He saves oppressed people only when they are his friends or has some other personal interest involved. He defeats the Marine base in Shells Town for Koby (and Zoro, later). He defeats Don Krieg so he can repay his food debt to Baratie. He defeats Arlong for Nami. He fights Wapol for Chopper (who saved Nami) and who he already considers his friend because of that. He fights for the Giants (Little Garden) and Vivi (Alabasta), Conis (Skypiea), Robin (Water 7 and Enies Lobby), Brook (Thriller Bark), Hachi (Sabaody) etc. Though, he does make friends rather easily, so usually it's not that big of a deal. But he isn't going out of his way to places he reads about in the newspapers that need to be liberated, he instead cares more for his own dream. He doesn't enter a certain island with the idea in mind that goes like "if I see some injustice here, I'm gonna bring this shit down". It's the other way around. He makes friends and realizes they're unhappy.
He wants them to be happy again and to live without regrets, and that's why he brings the shit down, whatever it is that makes people he cares about feel so unhappy. Because he thinks this is at least something he can do for his friends. Luffy doesn't think he can do a lot of things, he can't do much at all, but he can do one thing: beat up a guy when needed.
He knows how regret feels like ever since he believed Sabo died, he's not gonna sit there and do nothing next time something like this happens. That's why it's so important for him, to make sure his friends are happy. And that's why he beats up people and liberates countries. It's not for justice, he simply wants his friends to be happy.
But wait a moment, Luffy also wants freedom. Yes, he does. He wants to be the King of the Pirates, because for him it means to be free. And that's how he actually speaks about Nika as well:
He wants the freedom for himself. Isn't it funny that he thinks he already achieved it though?
And before you're disgusted by how selfish Luffy actually is, hear me out: Luffy is simply not a martyr. He won't die or sacrfice himself for the world to liberate it. He will instead die for the world if he thinks that will make his friends happy. Preferably though, he would want to survive and eat that meat with them, and be happy together.
Still, if you want him to be a liberator of a whole world it is actually possible, you just need to make it personal for Luffy, like I suggested. For example, put a person or multpile people who want to save/destroy the world (whichever option you fancy) on Luffy's crew. Luffy always cares for dreams of his crewmates and will always support them (because fullfilling their dreams will make them happy), so he would become a liberator if that helps them. But he would do it for them, not for the world.
Luffy is not a hero because he has a golden heart and a strong sense of justice. He's a hero when his friends are in danger instead, because instead of a golden heart, he simply has a big heart and makes friends wherever he goes. A martyr-like hero who sacrfices himself for people without caring for his own wellbeing is noble, but it's also not a healthy mentality, believe it or not. For starters, if you never care enough for yourself and are ready to throw your life away for a concept, what will happen with people who love you and care for you? Is it fair towards them to throw your life away without caring who you're leaving behind and how they will feel about it? Do you even care then for their feelings if your pursuit of greater good is more important to you? You can save the world and make people you love sad and unhappy, and like they don't even care anymore to live, because you were the one who made them happy and now you're gone. Did you save the world for them or destroyed it for them instead, as the result?
Luffy has his own interest in saving his friends too: so he's not alone again. Humans aren't selfless beings, but it doesn't automatically make us bad people either. And sometimes, while pursuing selfish things, we do something that appear to be extremely selfless. But at the bottom of it: we also do it for themselves, even if it kills us.
Tokyo Babylon taught me that every act is selfish, even if it appears like we do it for someone else: we simply want to feel better about ourselves then. There's nothing wrong with that, as long as we don't lose the sight of other people's feelings on our way. We can always share, after all, and that sharing is the bridge between the lone islands that people are.
Luffy, if he dies, will also say, just like Seishiro: "I didn't do it for you. I did everything by my own choice". For myself. Despite the fact it is also true he does it to make his friends happy. Being selfish and being selfless is like two sides of the same coin and both choices can end up actually hurting people. In the first case, because you care too much about yourself and too little about feelings of others, and in second case because you care too little about yourself and still too little about feelings of people that love and care for you. Can you spot the thing in common here?
If we consider what Vegapunk said about the origin of devil fruits to be true, it is entirely possible that both Luffy and Loki have the sun god's devil fruit, as people have very different views of Nika, with Luffy having the fruit that represents the version of Nika who is the god and warrior of liberation, and Loki the one that represents the version of god of destruction
I often hear the argument that Luffy is dumb, and I can't help but be ticked off every time I hear someone say it, because Luffy isn't dumb, he's simply carefree. And I mean that in the literal sense of the word. Luffy truly does not have a care in the world. Luffy chooses not to complicate things. He does things for the simple fact of wanting to and he purposely refuses to learn about people, situations, and the nuances involved with both because the nuance just pollutes the true nature of the subjects. Luffy doesn't choose to do these things out of ignorance or selfishness, but because in the grand scheme of things, all the information that he chooses to ignore is wholly unimportant both by Luffy's own standards and to the development of the story as well. What Luffy deems unimportant does not matter at all to how things play out in the anime.
Luffy, at his core, is an incredible judge of character. Luffy's relationship with Tama is a perfect example of this. By all accounts Luffy's first impression of Tama should have been negative. She came off as a little bit mean and stand-offish. However, Luffy in his natural Luffy-fashion is unbothered. He didn't need Tama to tell him or show him explicitly the kind of person she was to understand her as a person. Despite the fact that she was a little girl, Luffy treated her with basic respect right off the bat. Luffy didn't see her as child, but rather as the self-sufficient human she was. Of course his fondness for her was only furthered by the food that Tama gave him. Luffy didn't need to know anything more about Tama after he heard that she had given him her last shares of food. He didn't need to hear Tama's sad story to understand her. She treated him with kindness, like she would a friend, even though they had just met. Luffy would go to the ends of the earth for her over that simple fact. He had no desire to learn of Wano's history to better understand how Tama got to this point in her life. All he needed to do and all thay he wanted to do was return a kindness. And that he did.
The same can be said for the part Luffy plays in Nami's story. When Nami 'betrayed' Luffy, he'd simply brushed it off. Once again, Luffy knew who Nami was without having to ask and without her having to show him explicitly. Luffy saw her 'betrayal' yet did not take it at face value. Luffy refuses to leave her behind because everything Nami had said/done in that situation muddled Luffy's inherent and instinctive understanding of her character. This next bit is ironic to say because Luffy often makes decisions with his stomach rather than his head, but its clear that Luffy would rather trust his gut feeling than try to understand Nami's actions which appeared entirely contradictory to Luffy's perception of her personality/character.
This theme rings true throughout the whole anime. This happens when Luffy chooses to trust Law on Punk Hazard over Law's rather dubious choices without needing or wanting an explanation from him. This happens when he rescues Zoro at the very beginning of the anime and he simply trusts this well-known pirate hunter not to cut him down right of the post. I beg of you all, please do not dilute Luffy's complex character design down to something so trivial as him simply "being stupid".
Sorry for the tangent, I have just always felt people who say this about Luffy sell him and his whole character design short. There is so much more that I could say about this too. I could go into detail about the ways in which Luffy is as smart as the rest of the crew (in different ways than them obviously), but that would call for several more paragraphs, so I'll just cut it here I think.
Anyways tell me what y'all think, I'm curious.
Y'all. Y'ALL, this chapter was so good! And what stands out to me the most about it is how perfectly in fits with the overarching themes of the series.
Bonney unlocking a Nika-like form is SO GOOD, even just on the surface level. The design is wonderful, and I just know that her and Luffy's team-up fight is going to have absolutely wacky cartoon shenanigans, and I personally can't wait. But the themes behind the unlocking of this form make it even better.
Bonney's devil fruit works off of imagination and belief, if she can picture it and then believe it is something she can achieve in the future, she can do it. But, if she looses faith, that power no longer works as well. We saw that earlier in this arc before she saw Luffy (as Nika) and her faith was (in part) restored.
And so her only now being able to unlock a Nika-like form means that she did not truly believe that she could (or would) ever be free until this moment
and as heart wrenchingly sad as that is, for a child to no longer believe in their own future of freedom, it makes sense. Bonney grew up under the oppressive thumb of the world government. She witnessed at such a young age, her father - her incredibly kind, incredibly strong father - have his autonomy, his FREEDOM stripped away by being turned into a living weapon for said oppressive government. Of course she is going to struggle to picture herself as being totally free.
But then she meets back up Luffy, and he asks her to fight with him. And when she says that there is no way that she could keep up with him when he's Nika, he says "Of course you can!" And we see Bonney regain her hope in that moment. We see her regain her belief in that she can be free, that she WILL be free one day, thanks to Luffy believing in her. We see a man that she believes is god look at her and validate her strength, validate her power, and most importantly validate her freedom. Who tells her that freedom isn't something just for him, but rather that it's for everyone. That it is for HER.
And while this is shown literally thanks to Bonney's devil fruit, it also works in the metaphorical sense as well. Luffy is not the only person who can be totally free. That level of freedom is achievable by everyone, whether or not they literally become a version of Nika or not. And Bonney's Nika-like form is confirmation of that. It is the physical manifestation of the idea, and I think it's an incredible way of showcasing it.
I teared up when I got to the Nika Bonney part of this chapter. It is a culmination of everything One Piece stands for as a series, and I'm so happy that it's not shying away from it.
i stg his powers work in the real world too because i smile and laugh literally anytime hes on screen
Guys don't make fun of me i got lazy and couldn't draw. Just use your imagination.
Behold that beauty of hisā¦!! He resembles a being that has only been described in the ancient texts!! The Warrior of Liberation, whose foolish antics brought a smile to everyoneās faces ā also known as, Nika, the Sun God!!
Imu vs Luffy prediction part 2
Monkey D. Luffy is the Ruler of Everything ok
i finished fishman island!!
although i wasn't hooked from the beginning, this arc really grew on me! i really loved seeing the straw hats together again after their 2 year break. considering how emotional i was from everything that happened in marineford, it took a while to adjust to the new change of pace in the series! but seeing how strong & confident the members were made me feel so proud!!
each member of the grew worked hard to become stronger individuals for themselves AND for their captain/crew. some members trained to become physically stronger, some took the time to educate themselves, and some did both! zoro, nami, luffy, & robin are my personal favorite straw hats, so seeing them as better versions of themselves made me really happy!!! i love how hard everyone worked, and you could see it all pay off in this arc!
once i read/watched more of this arc, i started to really enjoy the plot! It was a very different side of one piece that we hadn't seen yet, other than in the sabaody archipelago arc. it expanded on the prejudice & discrimination that fishmen faced throughout history. how the hatred finds its way to the children, which creates more hatred. i really loved the narrator's monologue during the scene where jimbei gives his blood to luffy. it perfectly summarized the painful history between humans & fishmen. with jimbei's selfless act, it begins a new path for fishman island.
personally, this arc isn't in my top 5, but i really did enjoy it! i found it to be fun and the plot very interesting. i also really liked that we found out what the ancient weapon actually was in this arc after hearing about it for so long.
overall, i really loved how this arc showed us how much the straw hats grew during the timeskip. everyone did their best to become stronger so they could be prepared for the journey to the new world. i find it beautiful how devoted they are to each other and to their captain. i'm looking forward to what's next!
i love the straw hats so much!! every member has their own role and interests, and sometimes they don't align, but they all want to be together anyway. like zoro doesn't HAVE to be a pirate, sanji can cook anywhere, nami can be anyone's navigator, BUT THEY CHOOSE LUFFY!! each crew member meets luffy at the right time. before they did what they knew best, but after meeting luffy & becoming a crew member, their whole world has changed for the better. robin & nami in particular make me so emotional. they are now free to do what they want! every crew member has the freedom to live their lives on their own terms without judgment. it's so beautiful <3
i finished marineford arc!!
this is the best arc in my opinion! i have loved the arcs before, but as heartbreaking as it is, i love to see characters push past obstacles and limits.
this arc made me cry several times. ace is one of the most beautiful characters ever written. he's incredibly tragic, but i love how he became such a fantastic person despite the odds against him. growing from his rage, becoming a kind person who loves so strongly, and someone that many people look up to - all of these things make ace so amazing. i know that ace will always be a favorite of mine.
what i felt this arc did so well with was how balanced everything was. the writing, when it came to ace, luffy giving his all to save ace, garp feeling stuck in the middle, and the humor with buggy were all done so well. there was never a dull moment while watching.
the childhood episodes were so beautiful yet bittersweet. watching luffy try so hard to be ace's friend made me so emotional. ace, sabo, and luffy becoming an unstoppable sibling trio was so adorable. i loved how they were the first people who showed ace that he WAS deserving of human connection. all three of them became better because of each other. after losing sabo, ace took his significant brother role seriously, and luffy decided he would become strong enough to never lose anyone again. it was such beautiful writing.
luffy losing ace broke my heart. ace dying defending his father figure and saving his brother is so in character for him. he's never backed down from a fight, always protecting the people around him no matter what. although i wish ace was able to escape, i know that he did what he believed was best for his family. it's incredibly tragic yet beautiful.
i was so sad that the straw hats never met up with luffy. i was hoping that they would be able to reunite at some point. although i wish they were reunited as a crew, i also loved that luffy was going through one of the hardest things without them. it makes the situation that more upsetting. luffy wasn't surrounded by the people he trusted most to try to save his big brother.
watching luffy mourn his brother destroyed me!!!!! i cried so hard watching ace die that i had a migraine; it broke my heart completely. luffy screaming and crashing into trees while trying to forget what happened at marineford was HORRIFYING. we've seen him be so happy in every arc, and now we see luffy at his lowest possible moment. but instead of letting his rage consume him, luffy is reminded of the people he still has in his life. he can't allow himself to give up because he has people he wants to see. luffy lost his brother, but he still has his crew. watching luffy realize how much he misses his friends made me cry so much. he truly loves and cares for them. if it weren't for the connection he has with his crew, luffy wouldn't be able to move forward.
overall, this arc was AMAZING. pretimeskip was incredible. so many fun arcs and incredible ones, like skypeia, water 7, enies lobby, and marineford. i'm excited to see the crew together again in post timeskip.
ace is such a beautiful character. growing up hearing the world hate his father & hearing how they would harm gol d. rogerās child yet never letting it tear him down makes ace so resilient. he grew up with so much rage & resentment but because of sabo and luffy, he understood what it felt like to have people love you no matter what. all his life, he was wanting to find out if he was worthy of being born. he wanted to become a pirate so he can become something and make a name for himself. despite his self hatred, ace found his way to the whitebeard pirates who made him feel welcomed.
even though ace felt hated by the world, his ability to love was so strong. it takes so much strength to be kind & to love so deeply when all you know is hatred. yet, ace was able to become a captain a few months after sailing the seas. he became a commander with loyal followers. everywhere ace went, there were people who cared about him. ace grew up to be an amazing person who can love & be loved in returned.
in his final moments, ace protects luffy. his little brother, the one who was there with him in his youth, the one person who truly knows ace. even in death, ace chooses to act with love. he was born into the world hated but he died surrounded by people who love him so much. ace was finally able to see his life was worth something. rather than being angry, ace chooses to thank luffy & his crew for loving him. itās a huge testament to his growth to be full of gratitude in his last moments rather than rage like he once was as a child. it destroyed me watching ace die. he deserved so much more. he deserved to live, to find himself, to grow stronger, to love more.
his character is truly heartbreaking but so beautiful. i will always love ace & miss him so much. <3
i finished impel down!
this arc was very stressful for me, especially with how many powerful antagonists we had this arc. but, there was also a lot of funny moments with bon clay & ivan so i thought it was balanced. seeing how hard luffy fought to save ace was very emotional for me. as well as how ace was worried about luffy being in danger BECAUSE he wanted to save ace. the love these two brothers have for each other is so important and it breaks my heart seeing them upset about the otherās struggles. iām glad luffy was able to escape impel down. i hope heās able to see ace and help him before everything gets worse.
ever since i started impel down, nearly every episode has made me cry. especially episode 444, where the admiral tells ace, āthis is the last time youāll see the sky.ā then ace just closes his eyes and soaks it all in.
itās so upsetting knowing how kind & gentle ace is while the government condemns him as a āterrible criminalā. every scene before this arc, ace is seen being sweet, strong, & silly yet now heās completely defeated. he isnāt meant to be chained up, heās meant to be traveling the seas enjoying his life of adventure.
while ace is being sent to his death, luffy is doing everything he can to reach him. he nearly died from poison, yet his fighting spirit is still strong. no matter what, luffy isnāt giving up on his big brother. it breaks my heart to see luffy so desperate, but i hope heās able to see ace before the worst happens.
i finished sabaody archipelago & amazon lily!
the beginning of sabaody was so much fun!! i thought the whole thing with sanji was hilarious. but once the straw hats found out what was happening on the archipelago, everything took a turn.
i do love how as the story gets more involved with the world of one piece that we see both the good AND the bad. people being kidnapped and sold on the archipelago while the government turns a blind eye, the celestial dragons torturing their slaves while no one is allowed to stand up to them, and the reality of being fishmen are all explored in this arc. i loved that the straw hats took a stand against the unfair treatment and fought against the celestial dragons!
the ending of the arc is one of the saddest moments in the whole series. luffy watching as each member of his crew disappear before his eyes while not being able to do anything was so painful. watching the crew do everything they can to save zoro and one another from kuma was so heartbreaking. they truly care for each other. as a captain, luffy had to watch everyone vanish from thin air and his own inability to save them broke him down. this was the first time we see luffy emotional. sure, heās been angry before, but heās never been so devastated.
this was a new situation for all the crew to handle & iām eager to see how they all come together to help luffy stop aceās execution.
i finished thriller bark!
this arc was so much fun!! the world building is crazy and SOOOO GOOD!!! every arc i love the crew more and more. seeing the scaredy cat trio try to find their way back was so fun. had so many funny moments and one of the best zoro moments! AND WE GOT A NEW MEMBER YAAAAY š«š«š«š«š©·š©·š©·š©·š©·š©·
i finished enies lobby arc!!
nico robin has become a favorite character of mine because of this arc! her backstory was so heartbreaking but so well written. iām so happy she found a place to call home with friends who love her!!!!
the fights were amazing!! luffy using second & third gear was so cool! i loved seeing zoro using new techniques while fighting, heās just very fun to watch to me! sanjiās fire leg was amazing also!! namiās lightning technique was also really fun to watch!
seeing them say goodbye to merry made me so sad but iām so happy they have a new ship along with a new member!! the crew are back together sailing the ocean and iām excited to see whatās next!
robinās backstory is incredibly heartbreaking but so well written. learning the reason WHY ohara was obliterated while also seeing why robin is the way she is. for 20 years she had been hunted by people and the government without anyone to lean on. she lost the library full of knowledge, the archeologists who supported her, and her mother who she had JUST reunited with. she was only 8 years old when she had the entire world chasing after her.
the scholars of ohara had the ability to read poneglyphs that could explain what happened during the blank history. simply wanting to learn more about history is what caused oharaās destruction. now robin is the only one in the entire world who can learn about what happened during that time. all because one single person is ABLE to learn about what really happened, the world government put an enormous bounty on her so she could be caught one day.
i have always liked robinās character because of the small moments where it was clear she wasnāt TRULY evil. all she wanted was to get closer to what her loved ones devoted their lives researching. her life has been far from easy, having to run around finding ways to live. hearing people call her a ādevilā, saying she couldnāt be trusted when it was all a way for her to live without getting turned in.
the scene where she finally speaks from the heart, shouting āi want to liveā is one of the most beautiful moments in media i have ever seen. although it hasnāt been long, but robin has learned what it means to find people who love her. she has a crew full of people who not only care for her, but who would willingly declare war on the world government just to have her back with them.
all those years of suffering, her childhood of loneliness, having to deal with her trauma, have all led to this one moment. now robin can be true to herself. she can say what she truly wants because she isnāt alone anymore. robin now has friends who are willing to protect her.
finished water 7 arc!!
so peak! i loved that the problems werenāt JUST a new villain but also the issues between the crew. the usopp vs luffy situation was very realistic. i was so hurt by their argument but it was important to show the audience that not EVER moment between the crew is amazing. after all, they are all different people with different dreams and personalities.
robinās storyline is amazing. i have grown very attached to her character. sheās beautiful, smart, caring, and it hurts when people from the government label her as a ādevilā. she was just a child :(
overall, this arc is definitely my favorite so far. there was some cool moments, some sad ones, and funny ones!! just a perfect arc in my eyes!
side note: the scene where zoro gets stuck in a chimney and luffy gets stuck between the wall TWICE made me laugh so hard. def a highlight for me š
I FINISHED SKYPIEA ARC!! the story was amazing!! i love how the past of the island had an affect on itās future. it was so much fun, i loved seeing the straw hats in a different environment! AND LUFFY RINGING THE BELL AHHH JUST AMAZING š«š«š«
i finished alabasta saga!! alabasta arc is 100% my fav arc so far!! so much fun, the story was amazing, the writing was great
i loved meeting ace! he was so much better than i expected! i knew he was a fan favorite but he was so much sweeter and kinder than i thought he would be!
robinās character is very interesting to me & iām excited she has joined the straw hats! i have always wanted to see more of her and iām hoping i get more info on her soon!
vivi is amazing! her character was so beautiful & i felt myself get more invested in the story because of how strongly she felt about her situation. i hope we get to see her again one day!
this saga was so much fun! i switched between the manga & anime and i thought it was the best way for me! iām so excited to see what comes next!
i just finished east blue saga!!
i thought it was a very fun start to the series!! i honestly liked it a lot more than i thought! the characters are fun, the story is great, just a very good watch!! arlong park is definitely my favorite arc in this saga! I LOVE THE STRAW HATS!!!
