Art of two ocs of mine for a story I'm working on, The Pallas Project!
TLDR about the main two sillies, in these icons;
They both work on The Pallas Project, a surveillance program that became sentient and called itself The Librarian. Virgil leaking data to sneak under her eyes, using the pseudonym "Halcyon". Bass is their best friend/roommate. He tries to pull them away from the danger they themselves got into, but since they’re not backing down, he’s decided he’s coming down with them hand in unlovable hand
Virgil is a 32 yr old research engineer Confident, relaxed, does whatever they think is right even if they’re putting their own health and safety at risk. At first they seem timid and hard to open up, but if one will listen or catches their attention, they'd meet the nerd within, who lives by the rule of cool, and is dedicated to their path and passions. They spent a lot of time in the past in protests.
In a situation of fight or flight, they normally fight until all they have left is to fawn or freeze
Bass is a 30 yr old programmer Timid, pacifist, loyal, sticks by his friend’s sides through thick and thin. Slight rough and tumble side to him. Unfortunately doesn’t make friends much as he has a hard time keeping them due to- past situations. He's changed much since then, into a big ol' teddy bear. But a teenage arson incident doesn't just wipe away, does it?
In a situation of fight or flight, he freezes until there’s no other option but fight
The two had a mutual crush going strong for 12 fuckin years, though after an incident where Virgil lost their arm and nearly died, they finally spat it out Theres so much more to The Pallas Project, too much to ramble here

My prompt was “I’m SUPER into the religious motifs if IHNMAIMS, and I would LOVE something that leans into that. Torment those bitches with their robo god, Yk?”, I hope I did it justice! The lamb of god was a particular inspiration!
This was made to be a phone background specifically, under the cut will be how it works on my phone, I would’ve asked you your phone but I hope it works well on yours! Also, other unused thumbnails, including a few stained glass ideas I may revisit one day!

Participants: 1x1 only, I can't keep up with more than 2 due to my writing pace
Length: I do about a paragraph or two per response, but the intro to a scene is nearly always much longer. I try to do quality > quantity! You can do more or less, I just need something to hook onto
Genres: No preference really! I love, angst, whump, fluff, and hurt/comfort in particular though. I love when characters go through terrible things to drag themselves out of it with grit teeth, with or without help Deep conversations between our characters while they have a drink and think about life,, that too, kill for it
Fandoms: Right now? Cthulhu Mythos and Gravity Falls mainly
Sensitive Topics: Not much is really off limits to me! Gimme all the vile blood, guts, and deep deep character trauma you got in our roleplays! No smut, no slurs, and romance between my character and yours is a no Not my cup of tea

A fire roared under the metallic sky. Staving off the cold cold air. Three figures were vaguely gathered around the campfire
A 6ft bright blue lizard and 3ft pink moth chatted away. The rogue was working to make their rations into something— good, he wanted it to be at least! The warlock just watched as he generated salt from his fingers, with a pulsing organic magic A playful cheer erupted from the moth! They shoved and shoved in their coat, before throwing out a bunch of glittering gold confetti over the two Laughs were shared
“Be quiet. Please— we don’t know what may be with us, or where we may be.”
A larger entity spoke with a deep, raspy voice. Flame flickering in his small lenses. Wings engulfed the reddish form. Covered in odd religious vestments, with a moon shaped sickle at hip
That quieted the lizard, though the moth gave a groan as he flopped himself upon the ground
"Do we really gotta? We've been out here for- who knows how long, and nothings appeared yet?"
"Yet." Sighed out. Finally accepted by the moth, with a grumble
For the AM redemption topic, can I recommend 'Therefore, I am' by Screegus on AO3? Although it could have a romantic reading if you squint too much, it's not tagged as a ship of any kind and it's beautifully interpretable in a platonic way. And I mean 'beautifully' because it might as well be one of my favorite works in this small but thriving fandom. Hope you enjoy it if you choose to give it a read!

First time I saw that I thought it was a variant gay flag or something due to the lack of purple nor green
I think a aroace flag should have both colors, partially to point out aromantic and ace are separate, which many outside the space don’t understand
I’m fine with there being an aroace flag and the identities combining! I just think people should know ace doesn’t mean they’re aro too, and aro doesn’t mean they’re ace too
I think the green and purple should be somewhere individually in the flag too

Just changing the shape of his hair to look like a beard helps so much, instead of a Christmas tree. Plus, he feels so unmoving to? I genuinely can’t imagine this man taking a single step without tripping on himself
The way you did it, he 100% feels like an art teacher roaming the class, looking at students work and going ‘wtf is that’. Just a ponytail like you did would help
