im very tired so few headcanons written, but i have lots so feel free to ask and ill probably answer them later 😇 (i fell asleep before posting this at 11pm help)

his parents spent very little time with him, mainly leaving him with the church or with tutors
his parents could only express how disappointed they were in the fact jack became a "savage", rather than "acting like an english boy", and didnt care much if at all about the long-lasting effects and trauma the island caused him
jack is the way he is because of his parents.
he has never had any siblings, nor even met any of his extended family, but will forever feel like his ability to lead is an expectation, and he has no other choice to be a leader, otherwise he has no purpose in the group (basically canon but some people choose to ignore it...)
ralph was his unintentional gay awakening (/silly)
post-island jack was terrified of seeing ralph again because he'll never escape the guilt of almost killing him

based on a fix i read, but hes overly observant and paranoid about his surroundings, and cant handle pigs, spears, being chased (even in sports or playtime), and being snuck up on
refused to eat meat for months after getting off the island in fear it was pork
has frequent nightmares about the night simon died
wants to be angry and hate jack, but hes unfortunately aware that they were just kids, he heard the men on the television say it, they were all just a bunch of silly kids that decided to play war
his parents were never strictly religious, so he never really went to church
his first time in the church mightve been visiting the funeral/s for simon, piggy, and the mulberry boy
he isnt much of an artist, but more healed post-island ralph that's more amended with jack doodles them both in little stick figures

was forced into choir because his mom wanted him to do something she could brag about, but his dad thought it was the stupidest thing, and that he dhould be preparing himself to join the silly army like he did
used to absolutely adore christmas
hated choir for a while because his dad did, until it became a safe space
now he genuinely enjoys it
he really likes animals
feels genuine guilt for what he did to piggy, and felt sick in the moment of him doing it

@lotftober2024 Day 7: A View to a Death
im a day late (so sorry, i procrastinated </3), and i dont usually write and post it publicly, but i hope you enjoy ? :D
Ever since the news had been formally delivered, ever since the boys had been rescued from that island, a place that felt closer to Hell than anywhere else, they dreaded the concequences of their actions, the reality of their decisions. The ones with previously painted faces had been so confident and accepted that they were to live without true authority, that they could live without thinking of what they'd lost, and instead continue their version of adapting to the unfamiliar life they'd then lived, but now that they were on land, in a real society, there is no escape.
Like a cage stuffed of crows, the pews were filled with the black clothing of men and women in mourning, small children, fathers, mothers, aunts, uncles, and grandparents, all weeping for the loss of their family, their friends.
When it became time to do prayers, readings, speak to the families, the boys found themselves planted in their seats. The hunters, the boys that were previously one of the church's choir, felt the eyes of everyone and everything on them, even with the assumed protection of their guardians beside them, the felt the judgement, as if every living, breathing being had known just what they'd done to the two boys that were once one of them. Now that they were forced to revel in this reality, there were no more excuses, no self-proclaimed freedom, their fear of each other, the fear of the beast, turned into a fear of themselves, a fear of judgement, less of their peers, their family, but of the being above.
The older boys, especially the bigguns, watched the reactions of everyone around them uncomfortably. Unlike the littluns, they knew of their actions, any previous justification felt like childish nonsense in comparison to pain and guilt they now felt.
They robbed the world of its children, as well as themselves of their own innocence. Inside them, forever will the beast reside.

makes me so mad I had to draw how I was feeling
my class is doing a lotf after project and one of the prompts is „put Simon, Jack, Ralph, and Piggy in a random scenario together“
everyone in my group unanimously agreed to throw them in jail.
Piggy? Tax Fraud and money laundering (we all know his auntie is BAILING HIM O U T)
Jack? Kind of obvious, manslaughter. And possibly cannibalism.
Simon? Trespassing. That mountain was his DOOM. Ralph? Public indecency. His literal first reaction to being stuck on an island was to strip. Who does that.
I love them 😭😭

okay! This is the earlier in the book versions of the characters for my graphic novel adaption of William Goldings lord of the flies! (I’ll do more I swear)
these boys are fresh on the island and have no clue what’s coming 👍👍👍👍
I also do this thing where whenever I write a characters name I write it how I think their handwriting is or how they would write it. (And I know Piggy would probably actually write his real name but we don’t know his real name so shhhhhhhh 🤫)
