Marichat/Reverse Crush AU/How-stupidly-complex-can-we-make-the-love-square-until-its-incomprehensible AU/Or whatever the fuck you call this
It starts because Chat remembers Ladybug's voicemail asking if Marinette was "cute" way back with Evillustrator and snowballs with every dodged request for Multimouse on the grounds of "keeping her safe" since her "identity was known".
And Chat, as he's want to do, puts 2+2 together and gets fucking 23.
Now Chat thinks Ladybug is not only in love with Marinette, but has been secretly pretending to be in love with the famous oTheR BOy maybe to throw Chat off her scent, or maybe because she thinks he won't accept her, oh my god does she think he's homophobic??? What should he do???
Be a good friend and support her, that's what!
Meanwhile, Ladybug has been going through the 5-stages of grief thinking Chat has been scorned by Adrien Agreste at some point since every time she mentions the model Chat's response is increasingly hostile. At first she thought Chat hated Adrien, but all his comments seem to be critical of his inability to face conflict?? Or show his true feelings?? "Pretty boy" is said with such scorn that Ladybug (who is also the Anxiety-Catastrophic-inclining Marinette who regularly declares her own death at minor inconveniences and whenever she gets hit with her long list of secondhand embarrassments) has made up a whole backstory of how Chat is secretly bisexual and is using Ladybug to get over his horrific attempt at trying to express his feelings towards Adrien oh poor Chat she totally understands where you're coming from you poor kitty.
Cue Chat trying to wheedle out Ladybug's secret relationship with Marinette by making more comments about Multimous and how nice it was to do that mission with Marinette! Can he do it again? While also making more visits to her balcony to figure out why LB fell in love with his shy, awkward, yet brilliant classmate and oh god oh no she's actually really funny and sassy and way too cool for Chat or Adrien LB has fucking TASTE!!
(he also has been really emphasising his support for gay rights every time he hangs out with Ladybug (which isn't helping his 'secret pining bi' angle LB is frothing over) to the point where even local news outlets and the LadyBlog are debating whether Chat is queer af (which has always been a pretty firm belief in Paris, what with the leather outfit and hand gestures like ✨you know✨) or just pro-LGBT+)
On the other hand, Marinette has being trying to suss out this ""secret mean side"" of Adrien's that has made Chat into such a scorned lover, resulting in her being a little cooler to Adrien, which in turn has made her actually capable of speaking to him now he isn't some perfect figure on a pedestal.
("Plagg! Marinette frowned at me when I accidentally bumped into her today and told me to 'watch it, pretty boy' before leaving!!! She didn't stutter like usual, which I thought she did because she hated me, but what does this mean now????"

Except Chat has also been sniffing around her balcony a lot and she can't help but feel sorry for a fellow Adrien-Lover, so now she's been spending a lot of free nights with him and wow he's actually so sweet and shy beneath the flirty attitude and oh no he's actually kind of hot, and if Ladybug was the rebound from Adrien does that make Marinette a viable love interest??? W H A T???
This got away from me, but honestly we're at the point that it'd be so much funnier to make the lovesquare even more complex like yeah fuck it up you two dumbasses.
Honestly though they transform so close to other people. In Jackady/SimonSayz when Adrien ducked into his bathroom to 'shower' I bet Nino was just standing outside shaking his head in shame. He can literally hear the bloody theme music and see the sparkles coming out from under the door, let alone not notice the yell of 'Plagg, transform me!' I like to think Nino spent most of that episode trying not to laugh as he watched Adrien make poor excuses just so he could run off and do his magical girl transformation with accompanying music.
While rewatching Miraculous Ladybug today I realised how poorly the children hide when they transform. Marinette jumped behind a wooden bench in a public park right by a fence in Climatika??? That’s not very genius hiding.
Now I’m all for the head cannon that the Miraculous have glamours to hide their identity, but I also like the idea of a Danny Phantom kind of scenario. Like literally every civilian KNOWS who Ladybug and Chat Noir are because they’ve seen them transform right in front of them when the kids think they’re hiding so cleverly in bloody plain sight on the street and just outside class.
However they don’t have the heart to tell the kids that they know as they try so hard to keep their identities hidden (it’s not their fault they’re not very aware of their surroundings), so instead everyone just…pretends they don’t know.
Shop owners will give Adrien and Marinette free products when they realise who they are, but Adrien waves them off as part of being famous and Marinette is too sweet to not believe their excuses of there being extra stock. Their teachers even give them slack when they come in with bags under their eyes after a late night of chasing an akuma.
Alya directs outsiders and tourists away from their identities by feeding the Lasyblog false information. The Parisians are very protective of their heroes.
So basically we just see the series from Marinette and occasionally Adrian’s view, in which they keep their identity safe. Meanwhile everyone around them are trying their best to support the two young teens as discreetly as possible.

How everyone in Miraculous Ladybug turned out to be gay (for Ladybug)
Just thought of this recently, and just really enjoyed the idea of Ladybug becoming a symbol of hope to many subgroups in Paris, and especially to teens and the LGBT+ community. Like imagine one day LB is chatting to some reporter, and the question of her sexuality comes up (the reporter hoping to get a glimpse of maybe LadyNoir??). What she gets is a shrug and smile as LB says that she finds all genders beautiful and deserving of love; specifically that she is hopelessly in love with people of other genders aside from simply male. Needless to say, everyone is both shocked and excited by the news of LB being pansexual. Suddenly LB is a symbol and advocate of the LGBT+ community and she just...rolls with it. She loves being able to speak out about her sexuality, and she's often encourages others to speak up as well, to not be afraid because love is just love! And Chat is in the background internally torn about the whole thing as on one hand, God his Lady is so cool and she deserves to be loved by all genders as well. On the other hand he has to contend with more competition. Damn it. But in every interview he fully supports LB, citing that while he may be heterosexual, he still stands up for LGBT+ rights and desires for everyone to be comfortable with their sexuality in society, just like his Lady. (Now Chat's also a advocate for the LGBT+ community, and often fundraisers and makes speeches alongside LB for the cause) All this support leads, well, basically to majority of Marinette's class coming out of the closet. Everyone knows Alya is bi. Like, super bi. She just excretes bisexuality wherever she goes, especially whenever she talks about her hero crush Ladybug (Marinette's still can't stop blushing whenever her best friend rants about Ladybug's 'shapely calves' and how she was 'so gay for the buff babe.') Then Rose softly comes out as bi, followed closely by Juleka admitting her status as a lesbian, as well as her relationship with Rose. Max bluntly states his asexuality, while Nathanael and Sabrina are a bit more hesitant in coming out as gender fluid and lesbian respectively. Marinette's equally as hesitant to admit her pansexuality, but she's fully supported by others around her (which she finds ironic, as just yesterday she made a public speech about safe zones and coming out when the time was right for you, which probably motivated most of her classmates). During this whole thing Marinette (and most of the class) are expecting Chloe to raise a huge fuss about the whole thing. But when finally prompted by a hesitant Adrien, she simply tosses her head and says 'it would be a crime to keep everyone from admiring my beauty. Besides, it's clear that I have the easiest shot with Ladybug now that I know she's interested in girls.' Cue majority of the class yelling about who would get with Ladybug (as you can't tell me most of Paris isn't gay for the superhero duo, like damn), Alya and Chloe being the biggest contenders, and Adrien secretly vowing to up his game as Chat in order to even have a chance with his Lady.

Imagine the reader has a more twee style and after a shower the reader is kinda pretty like thick poofy wavy or curly healthy hair and nice skin stuff that wasn't noticeable because of all the dirt and blood from the factory but is after a shower and possibly has a tattoo like a ladybug with spots replaced by stars and framed by a stamp(based off a tattoo I want but you don't have to it can be a tattoo you see fit) things to really make the reader seem like an angel towards the toys

After you bathe the toys, you took a nice hot shower. You could finally get the blood and dirt stains off you and relax. You took the shampoo and conditioner and washed your hair. You have thick curly hair.
After you got out the shower, you blow dry it. Your hair was all “poofy” now. You took a hair tie and tied your hair up into a puffball.
You slipped into a t-shirt and some shorts and entered your bedroom with the toys. All eyes with on you as you exit the bedroom. You sat down on your bed with the others.
Yarnaby layed on your lap, purring as you patted his mane.
Poppy: “Wow, Angel. I never knew you had so much hair.”
Kissy flopped her hand on your head as a way to tell you she likes your hair. The mini critters jumped on you and your head.
Craftycorn: “It’s so soft like cotton candy.”
Poppy: “Can you do my hair like yours, Angel?”
Y/N: “Of course, sweetness.”
Doey noticed your tattoo on the back of your shoulder. It was a tattoo of a ladybug with stars instead of spots.
Doey: “How do you have a bug on your back?”
Y/N: “It’s a tattoo. I got it for my birthday a few years ago. It’s kind of like the hands on your belly.”
Doey: “That’s so cool! I wish I had a tattoo like that!”
Dogday: “Maybe you should get angel wings.”
You giggled at the two. This time you spend with your the toys felt so comfortable and relaxing. You can really call them family.

Crazy how in ephemeral that ladybug had to get 9 MIRACULOUS HOLDERS in place of chat noir (although I cant say that even if he was there they wouldn’t have needed help) but it just goes to show how important chat noir is to the team like in desperada. And I’m so glad that ladybug didn’t get irrationally angry at him for being unable to help her at the moment.

Natalie really gave adrien false hope by giving him Marinette gift in bubbler.
In the episode we saw how Gabriel straight up ignored him on his birthday and only said something to him when Adrien did something wrong. And Natalie giving him that gift made him think that his father really cared about him smh. Gabriel also gave him false hope because he lied to Natalie about asking her to get a gift.
Are we gonna talk about how our hero squad had their identities revealed in miracle queen? Alya and Nino were training so hard and they just got exposed.
I feel like everyone is saying adrien needs his happiness, but I feel like everyone just needs to let him be sad and feel the way he wants for once and let his emotions go. He is always forced into be happy around everyone and it’s probably so tiering, everyone just needs to let our boi relax. He’s always pressured into being happen like the expectations from everyone else that he is always happy and that he can’t be any other way. 😔 He has to let go of all his bottled up emotions before he can be happy.
