This is your regularly scheduled reminder to read the TOS and privacy policy, ESPECIALLY if the app is free. Found one i wasn’t willing to accept the other day, it was honestly kind of impressive. Just remember that they can legally do pretty much anything as long as they put it in there, and you can’t do anything about it if you agree to it (regardless of if you know what you’re agreeing to or not)
Whenever I reblog something, I just have to chant in my head. “Don’t think don’t think don’t think-”
That’s the tumblr motto, right?
Priceless!
He deserves treats too
open a document and start writing
“What if I write it and it’s bad-”
WHAT IF YOU WRITE IT AND ITS GOOD? WHAT IF YOU WRITE IT AND ITS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANTED? WHAT THEN????
No matter how much you dislike your own writing, I promise you it’s better than AI
If you're a writer you're supposed to write a lot of bullshit. It's part of the gig. You have to write a lot of absolute garbage in order to get to the good bits. Every once in a while you'll be like "Oh, I wish I hadn't wasted all that time writing bullshit," but that's dumb. That's exactly the same as an Olympic runner being like "Oh, I wish I hadn't wasted all that time running all those practice laps"
Just eat the can of sweetened condensed milk.
Do it now and regret it later
Sometimes you just gotta make art. You don’t need to be good at it, or have it be beautiful in the middle or at the end. Sometime you make it really messy and you just need to move a paintbrush and a pen on some paper and make a thing for no reason at all
Write every day. That’s right, every day. You may have heard this before, maybe you haven’t. It’s a lot easier to eliminate writer’s block and to get pages dished out in a day. If this seems daunting and you don’t believe you have the time, make time. In between work, or studying, or even before class (which is what I do), just start off with what you can get and then go from there.
Don’t worry about the quality of your writing, just write what you can. That’s what editing is for later. Keep at it until you are writing at least three paragraphs or more everyday. It should be easier to start when the time comes to just sit and start typing (or writing in a notebooks) for a whole hour or more.
If you like someone's writing, art, or any other type of work they create- you should let them know. Be it through a comment, a follow, a reblog, a message, or an ask. A little reminder that their work is appreciated means so much. If you have requested something, just a like isn't enough- it's insulting. A simple "thank you" also does so much. Not to mention, how motivating it is, as a writer, to see people enjoy my works. If you like it, express it.
Kindness really goes a long way, it might just motivate your favorite writer/artist/etc to create something new.
