A fan art cross over mock cover for The Wizard of Oz and Dr Who
Elizabeth Olsen, Aubrey Plaza and Jenna Coleman. They’re more daddiest than the daddy themselves, in costume they literally take my breath away and they have literally the attitude like you know, when they are acting the manners are here.
Truthly when i saw them i lost my mind. ( when they wear suit i die my soul left my body)
nobody pointed this out a lot because many have been forgotten.
shipping naming conventions then:
take half of a ship's character's name and/or object, combine it with other half of character's name and/or object.
in this case: whouffle
who: doctor WHO (any doctor, eleven for easy sakes)
uffle: clara (soufflé, reference to clara baking soufflés in asylum as oswin and references to her failing to bake a soufflés)
shipping naming conventions now:
take both first names of ship and combine it
in this case: elevenclara
eleven (11th doctor) + clara (clara oswald): elevenclara/11clara.
Here it goes.
Back then, whouffle was born following the release of Asylum of the Daleks. Because Clara's hasn't been properly revealed yet and nobody thought better, whouffle came as a result of Who + Souffle; names and objects that back then how shipping naming conventions worked.
Whouffle was used to refer to 11clara (and her echoes) before the announcement of Capaldi as the 12th in June 2013. Then, because it was simpler, they decided to add -aldi (capaldi = 12) to the end of whouffle; whouffaldi (whouffle + capaldi) . and there was another thing; the 50th anniversary (which featured 10, resulting in allonswin (allonsy + oswin) (im not a huge 10clara fan tbh)). With this, they elected to revise the doctorclara naming scheme and added a new name for 11clara; souffez (soufflé + fez) and whouffle relegated to be as doctorclara.
for over a decade, it's always been this. 12clara was always referred to as whouffaldi and whouffle, 11clara was referred to as whouffle and souffez before souffez got dropped by around 2018-2019 due to confusion, whouffle being more recognizable and longer used, and more importantly, simplicity. by now, 11clara is referred to as whouffle by many and 12clara is referred to by both whouffaldi and whouffle which is understandable and annoying since the revision stating that whouffle referred to as doctorclara but can be annoying to someone like me who looks for 11clara content (images/gifs) with majority got taken over by 12clara content.
looking back and now use 11clara/elevenclara and 12clara/twelveclara. im glad we now use this current naming convention because we can denote it more simply but knowing how much tumblr had so many 11clara content lost to time and the amount of 12clara posts via the whouffle tag. it's understandable why this happened.
tl;dr 11clara fan is annoyed at old shippers for shipping naming convention.
nobody is like them
reasons why they are still the best ship in doctor who.
matt and jenna need to reunite and do a show together.
DOCTOR WHO S07E09 Hide
This is not an 11 vs 12 thing, I'm way past that.
In terms of episode number, Clara had 2 series with 12 compared to the half-series Clara had with 11. But there is this that I would love to mention that 11 and Clara, technically had 3 years together, from Clara's POV. and there's canonical evidence for this due to perhaps a mistake Moffat made by accidentally making a retcon he didn't know he was making.
Point 1: Clara's (Then) age.
In the Bells of Saint John, after laying Clara down in bed the Doctor was looking around and found upon Clara's 101 Places to See book which was given to her from her mother and had written down her age throughout the year, there is only two years missing and it was 16, maybe connected with implication of her grief to her mother, 23 is also missing but Clara may have forgotten to put it. But the latest was 24. Implying that Clara is 24 by the time of the Bells of Saint John. The episode taking place in 2013, which implies that Clara (before then) was younger than Jenna who was 26 at the time of filming (Fall of 2012).
Point 2: The Accidental Retcon.
In Deep Breath which takes place immediately after Time of the Doctor (Christmas 2013), Strax who was examining Clara mentions she was 27. Jenna's actual age during filming (January 2014) and with that, here it comes; Clara had spent 3 years of her life with the Eleventh Doctor. With this accidental retcon by Moffat which he forgot to address Clara's age as seen in Bell's with the marking down on her book by putting down Jenna's actual age.
Point 3: The Time between The Name and Day of the Doctor.
The Name of the Doctor, ended with the reveal of the War Doctor with the Doctor, carrying an unconscious Clara, out of his time stream. With this, the next episode/special: The Day of the Doctor. Clara was no longer working as a nanny from the previous series but now as a teacher in Coal Hill, a call and message sent her to where the Doctor was, after a bike ride and entering the TARDIS, both entailed a huge hug together and from the dialogue, which implied it has been months since the last time they travelled together. (presumably the Doctor giving her space to adjust her new job as a teacher.) It's likely that before Clara got to her job, both her and the Doctor had travels that lasted in her 25th and 26th years. Considering Clara was 27 in Time and Deep Breath, there may have been more travelling before Time of the Doctor took place.
Conclusion.
From the points I mentioned, the first time Clara met the 11th was when she was 24 and during then she had 3 years with him until he regenerated as the 12th by the time she was 27.
reasons why whouffle should be protected at all costs
Still the most amazing duo doctor who could ever had.
Jenna Coleman and Matt Smith in 2013, and 2023
IMO, these two are still cool and the best, i don't care if 12clara/Peter and Jenna is more popular and had more episodes or Clara had a relationship with Danny, i will still love and support these two even if the fanbase disagrees with me.
Also stop misusing the whouffle tag, i know that whouffle means doctorclara but it kinda changed time over time and nowadays whouffle is known as elevenclara (souffez is another but its quite dead). tbh lets just use the new ship terms ElevenClara and TwelveClara.
Also the first proper introduction between the Doctor and Clara!
11 and Clara have the sweetest moments in this ep; 11 saving her from getting her consciousness into the mainframe, their motorcycle ride through London. 11 just touching/caressing Clara, the fact that they shared milkshakes, and them just being them... (I'm a hardcore whouffle/elevenclara shipper okay)
also 11clara >>>>> 12clara and pinkwald
10 years ago, The Snowman premiered and gave us these two and sealed the deal between the two.
Also Merry Christmas.
Also Victorian Clara is the best imo.
Whouffle ftw
Do you want me to write this?
Because i will write it istfg.
I had to make this.
Whouffle ftw.
I had to use mematic.
The best doctor who duo ever...
imo
Bring back these two and I’ll die happy.
If not once, maybe twice?
I just prefer 11 with Clara than 12, and my hatred of Danny goes beyond anything I hate in Doctor Who (my hatred of him is like Michael’s hatred of Toby).
And I’m a whouffle extremist.
(I’m just waiting to be cancelled lmao)
Whouffle was born.
10 years to Asylum of the Daleks, Jenna Coleman’s role in Doctor Who and S7.
Their love was eternal.
Now, THIS is a love story!!
The Bells of St John x Deep Breath
Whouffle (11/Clara) + hugging
(7x08) Cold War
(7x10) Journey to the Center of the TARDIS
(7x13) The Name of the Doctor
The Day of the Doctor
The Time of the Doctor
Sorry for the terrible screencaps.
Whouffle ftw!!
I'm very happy that David Tennant and Catherine Tate are coming back as the 10th Doctor and Donna for the 60th and the fact that I almost figured it out is beyond.
RTD said in a comment on Instagram that reveals will occur on Sundays and Mondays, so I'm hoping that Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman return for the 60th as the 11th Doctor and Clara Oswald. Why? because they're very underrated and my whouffle mind is dominant.
A few months ago I was rewatching The Theory of Everything and seeing Jane and Stephen together reminded me a bit of Whouffle (11th Doctor and Clara) from Doctor Who.
Another thing is that they have similar characteristics.
Stephen and the Doctor loves/have a thing for Cosmology, Time Travel, and other sciency stuff
Jane and Clara are both English teachers and occasionally wear similar clothing (I guess?)
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
Yes, I'm a die-hard whouffle/11xclara shipper.
My Doctor Who Ships
OTP: Eleven/Clara (Whouffle/Souffez)
I don’t care what everyone says… I ship them and them only.
Pairings I like (they’re not ranked):
Doctor/Rose (NineRose and TenRose)
During my first watch of NewWho these two just steals my heart already.
Doctor/River (Yowzah)
“Spoilers” and “Hello Sweetie” makes this ship one of my faves.
13/Yaz (Thasmin)
Since S11 I was onboard.
13/Spy Master (Spydoc)
NGL tho, I immediately shipped them after seeing them together for 1 millisecond.
12/Missy
This scene and the possibility of Missy being good in S10 just gives me the reason why I ship them.
Amy/Rory
Of course we would not forget about Amy and Rory. They are arguably IMO the goldest couple in the show’s history.
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!!!
Here are some Whouffle/Souffez (Eleven/Clara) GIFs.
Cause they’re my otp.
Currently making a Whouffle/Souffez (11xClara) fanfic.
Will be a long one.
Updates soon.
To the 12 and Clara fans (this is my opinion)
Also souffez>whouffaldi
And no I’m hating on whouffaldi, I’m just expressing my opinion.
I feel pride of myself and my Internet.
Because its name is ImpossibleGirl.
And its password is RYCBARM123.
Run You Clever Boy And Remember Me.
I never watched Doctor Who, but I spoiled myself and I loved every single thing. I just need to find where to watch it without getting a virus into my laptop/tablet.
Any website where I can watch the series?
The deepness of somethin' that does not exist.
Where to start. Well, things that does not exist are, for example, myths. Stories. Fantasy. These things that are taken in paper, in songs, in drawings, and in TV programs.
Take for example, the Mystery of the Impossible Girl in Doctor Who. I did not watch the series, yet I plan to, but here is what I know: Its the story of a girl that stepped into a portal by choice and broke herself into millions of pieces that did a diaspora around space and time. Every single one of those pieces, for as far as I know, saved the Doctor. Wherever or whenever, the Doctor was there, and Clara was too. And well then, I could have never thought of such story.
It allowed me to understand, in a way, how willing someone can be in order to save someone they love.
And it was romantically dont dare to say otherwise.
This event, thing, does not exist in real life, and thats what makes it deep. Time travels, girls that broke into millions of pieces in order to save one person, a payphone cabin that can travel across space and time. And more.
The beauty it has is that it does not exist. It comes from a part of ourselves that is unknown, and powerful, and that dreams a lot. Because of that very reason, it needs to be free, and takes the form of stories, of songs, of drawings, of TV shows. This things that does not exist allows is to explore the probabilities, to defy the limits, to live beyond universes. And that deepness also allows us to understand what does exist.
Its beautiful, to realize this. To be aware that, even if these stories, creatures, TV shows and else doesn't exist, they got to actually exist, in paper, in music, on a screen.
How else, would have we seen, or hearken, or live, through them?
