I am never not thinking about the fact that Edward Fairfax Rochester had the audacity to dress in drag as a low rent fortune teller, harass his guests, find out if his crush likes him and in the end it actually kind of works
why not cast jane eyre too. since nothing matters.
I do! I do!
*me at the club* so does anyone wanna discuss queer undertones in classic literature?
Uhhh, thing I drew for English class
So we’re reading the Great Gatsby and we had to reference another book in our blog post about it(long story) so I chose Jane Eyre to reference
So there’s this one bit in Jane Eyre where Jane draws herself crudely with a crayon and then draws who can essentially be considered her rival all prettily in watercolor The entire thing really smells like a meme format if you know what I mean
So I thought it’d be fun to recreate that, but with Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby
Just read this in Jane Eyre:
Breakfast was over and none had breakfasted.
The modern equivalent of 'Christmas isn't Christmasing this year.'
I want it to be October again
Charlotte Brontë, from “Jane Eyre”
“reader, i married him” my sister in christ he locked his first wife in the attic
I’ll never forgive my mom for introducing me to Jane Eyre at the ripe age of 12 because now there’s irreversible damage
quarantine is making bertha rochester a much more relatable character, ngl
I miss literature when it broke your heart in pieces and destroyed your soul. I don’t want you to tell me how your characters love eachothers, I want them to destroy themselves over their life and love, experiment the purity of emotions, reaching for life and love until they get burn.
Maybe I’m a pessimist but it’s truly beautiful
I miss fall , summer’s too hot , I wan’t the fall weather and also all the books that come with this period .🥰
And of course it’s the time of the year to rewatch nana and paradise kiss 🫶🏻
It took me a while but finally it’s finished! Thanks to all the people who sent me a character 🌟
Henley Monday -
Spring has sprung. The warm weather has finally rolled into even our chilliest of climes. I ate lunch OUTSIDE on Saturday, even. OUTSIDE. The sun is shining in the big blue sky, just like Michael Fassbender's eyes shine here. So bright. So piercing. So magnetic that entire universes could revolve around them.
But enough about his eyes check out that henley that was practically PAINTED onto his majestic masculine form. Those jeans aren't bad either.

"I affirm and can prove that Edward Fairfax Rochester was, 15 years ago, married to my sister, Bertha Antoinetta Mason, at St. James' Church, Spanish Town, Jamaica."
"This girl knew nothing of this. She thought all was fair and legal. She never dreamt she was being entrapped into a feigned union with a defrauded wretch."
In the deep shade, at the farther end of the room, a figure ran backwards and forwards. What it was, whether beast or human being, one could not, at first sight tell: it grovelled, seemingly, on all fours; it snatched and growled like some strange wild animal: but it was covered with clothing, and a quantity of dark, grizzled hair, wild as a mane, hid its head and face.
