Stardrive is the saddest woobie to ever grace Transformers media and I want to protect her so badly. Nobody has ever loved her, and she’s barely been shown respect or recognized as a person. I reread the whole mini today and I remembered she was very sad but the depths of sadness she experiences still got me. And she’s only five years old!! I wanna see her school days and her adventures before meeting Prowl. I want her to show up in another continuity. She deserves the world!
rodimags/rodimims (specifically idw is what i'm talking abt here) is such a good pairing because one the dynamic they have but also two their narratives are like. the same. they’re foils both individually and character arc wise.
like, minimus living in his brother’s shadow and rodimus in optimus’s. mims getting a new body/identity and rodimus first putting on a facade and then later changing his paint job. minimus and rodimus having trouble forming meaningful relationships because they both have to be someone they aren’t (ultra magnus and optimus, respectively).
roddy saying he didn’t want to be a prime, he wanted to be optimus prime. mims always trying to live up to first his brother’s accomplishments and then ultra magnus’s.
they also have their differences (obviously), but like any good foil their differences are anti parallels.
mims needing orders and rules to ground himself. rodimus feeling restricted by them. mims going from a nobody to a legend because of the armor, and rodimus being ignored and judged after getting the matrix. mims (as magnus primarily, but also just in general) always being second but still respected, vs rodimus being first (primehood) but disgraced.
both of them leaving cybertron together for the same reason: they can’t handle the burden their predecessors have given them. ultra magnus and optimus prime being revered figures, but minimus ambus and rodimus (no longer a prime) being nobodies, if not worse.
the personality differences and their general dynamic are already great and made me ship them, but the foils and parallels are what make them a compelling duo in all senses.
(also this post is abt idw but they're really good in everything else imo. like g1 is a chiller show but they still have such a good relationship/dynamic and they still read like foils, it's just a little more surface level bc y'know kids cartoon. )

Ok so I have a stupid hot take for TFA Bumblebee and IDW Cygate.
You know how Wasp in the Autobot Bootcamp episode calls Bumblebee a hybrid. That really stuck with me cause like I don’t think he is a hybrid car, like I don’t think that would be a thing on Cybertron and if he and Wasp were the same frame build, wouldn’t he be insulting himself? That made me think that Bumblebee was a product of a Decepticon and an Autobot. I was trying to find any canon inter faction relationships and IDW Cygate came to mind. A hybrid of both a flyer and a ground would make sense especially cause in TFA most flyers are Decepticons, the only know Autobot flyers are the jet twins. Bumblebee also doesn’t talk about where he came from. I know armor doesn’t technically matter but like the more I looked at them all together, the more similar they looked. I also think Whirl being an uncle figure and Cyclonus and Tailgate being a creators is really cute!

This cover is for the start of a fan AU that takes place after mtmte issue #15 but really gets going after the events of issue #33.
It will not be entirely cannon complacent but will incorporate many of the aspects in the comics so, needless to say, there will be spoilers [if you haven’t read the comic, shoo. Go read, it’s worth it, I’ll be here when you’re done]
The presentation of the story may not always be linear, but I will do my best to let you know the timeline as we go. [As we approach the end, things will start falling into place quite rapidly. I have two planned arcs but there is still wiggle room]
I don’t claim the rights for any Transformers characters, however OCs when present are the respective property of their creators.
There will be some cannon typical violence, gore, and mental trauma. Mnemosurgery and related tools will be a reoccurring topic as this is a largely cdrw centric story. I will tag warnings as appropriate.
As for the art, I can’t say it will always be consistent-heck I can’t even say there will always be art- but that’s alright. The goal of this is to have fun, to practice, and to answer a question:
What if Chromedome actually did erase his memories of Rewind after his death, and then, what would happen after the quantum silly sting event where Rewind came back?
