How are we doing today? I am currently obsessed with this picture of Joseph Quinn photoshopped onto a cockroach
I hope you're all having a lovely day.

Ever So Slightly.
Steve Harrington X Reader
⚠️ Warnings: this one is very PG-13 with a bit of angst ⚠️
Harrington fondly thinks back to his car... And your lips.
His BMW 733i was parked outside of Hawkins Highschool, the soft screeching of tires as he put his foot on the brake and eased it into a parking space. There wasn't a soul for miles, the only brightness coming from the singular streetlight in the middle of the lot, shining down on the two students who had made their way to the familiar building after hours. Both windows rolled up halfway and feet placed on the dash. The night was calm and quiet with the exception of cicadas chirping their songs and filling the void with something other than the nothingness of the quiet town. Stars shone overhead and created patterns of light across the sky, however, not enough for illumination of any sort. Just darkness for miles.
He looked so lovely. His eyes glanced up and down over your frame but not in a way other than pure and utter admiration. He felt just as calm as the world around him, not feeling a care in the world at what everyone else had gotten up to tonight. The party at Tommy Hagan's house that he had been expected to show up at. The Dungeons and Dragons campaign at the Wheeler's. The movie showing at the theatre in town. None of it mattered. The only thing that he could care about in this moment was your soft touch on his arm or the delicate breaths you took as you explored every inch of his mouth further. Your hands gliding up his face and fingers intertwining in his hair. The content state of your heartbeat pulsating calmly and the way your shirt felt under the palms of Steve's hands. Everything about you was so perfect, so- meticulous- that Steve assumed the universe placed you in Hawkins for the sole purpose of being his.
Cherry chapstick colliding with the taste of Steve's last cigarette, you had to say you felt the same. His manly but beautiful frame beneath you digging deeper into the seat with every kiss placed with intention and passion. Your hands running over the top of his jeans and hooking into the belt loops. He was your solace, your brain suddenly blank from all the intrusive and desolate thoughts from earlier. His lips guiding you to the freedom from pain and offering you a home to wander into; a blanket and a a cup of warm tea at the entryway of peace.
His hair felt so soft under the callouses of your fingers and the strands ran through like silk, slipping away from your grasp only for you to collide with them again. A slight pull of his hair left Steve in a state of frustration as he wanted to melt further into you and not to be pulled away. This longing wasn't a sexual one but more of a sensual one; wanting to envelop himself within you as close as humanly possible, wanting to flow through your veins and seep through your chest until the two of you were one. Pulling you back in, his cheeks are flushed and soft noise of fondness escapes your lips as you allowed him to know how he was making you feel.
"Hey," you said, breaking the quiet. It seemed forbidden to speak with how serene everything was even though your voice was just barely above a whisper. Steve looked down at you in confusion with furrowed brows, wondering what you were going to say. "We should put on some music or something."
Steve smiled. Of course you wanted music. It was your favorite thing in the entire world and he was pretty sure that he was a close second. Reaching around your frame to turn on the stereo, he shifts through the channels until he finds something suitable. A dark and low synth song starts to play through his speakers, perfecting the aesthetic of the night.
"This okay?" He asks, turning back to you and seeing your eyes light up.
"Absolutely."
.
Walking through the hallway on the last day of school was tiresome. Seeing all of the places that held memories that were good and bad filled your vision and your mind as you truly realized this was the last time you would be here. The green and orange tiles and the posters with tigers on them seemed to mock you as you continued your path towards the rows and rows of lockers for clean-out day.
Your shoes scuffed against the floor as you lost yourself in thought. Nothing would ever be the same again. Sure, it was a new chapter in your life but part of you would miss this old one. Riding around the block with your friends and singing your favorite songs. Staying up late drinking and coming into school high the next day. Sharing pencils with the weird kids in class who insisted they draw all over your notebook which you didn't mind. You felt like a collection of different thoughts and times just like the drawings that filled those pages.
Turning the corner you thought back to everyone you've met. The good and the bad and the in-between which was reserved for one person in particular- Steve Harrington himself. Leaning against one of the lockers wearing a dark yellow sweater and blue jeans looking as ethereal as ever. His hair had grown quite a bit from the last time you'd seen him and it made you laugh at the memory of how much Farrah Faucet hairspray he would put in it. Now, it was unkempt and a bit ridiculous.
His gaze went to yours and he faltered ever so slightly. You were still beautiful. Still you. Headphones dangling around your neck and a baggy shirt. Your lips were still stained with that cherry chapstick he'd tasted so many times before Nancy's strawberry one. You seemed quite surprised to see him after so long and you offered up a slight smile. He didn't know what you were thinking in that moment, but he was sure it was the night you two spent in the car, hiding away from the rest of the world.
He remembered when it was the two of you against the world before the mess of the Upside Down. Before the world became more than basketball games and parties. Before the world went crazy. Before he fell in love with someone else.
He felt a slight pang in his chest from how much he had loved you long ago. And to his surprise he smiled back at you. Ever so slightly.
How would we feel about an angsty fight between Billy Hargrove and Steve Harrington over the reader? Except it's a choose your own adventure so y'all would get to pick a side and the story would change based on who you ended up with?
Or would we prefer more fluffy fics? I can't help but write Billy and Steve into the most heartfelt sweet things because they are the bees knees.
It's late and I drank an entire thing of butterbeer so I might just be going crazy with the Steve and Billy thoughts rn, but I just want your input!
Also, thank you guys for the love on the Stranger Things fics, the amount of support I've received from them is astronomical. 🥹 I love you.
Thank you!

Let Me In
Steve Harrington X Eddie Munson
Eddie wants so badly to tell Steve the pressing matters on his mind. So much so that he's willing to bike all the way in the rain to show him just how he feels.
⚠️ Warnings: Slight Angst, mentions of scars, kinda sexual wording?⚠️
The rain poured and poured nonstop outside of the Family Video Store. It was dark and dreary, but when it was matched with the most spontaneous bike ride and a Walkman that played Iron Maiden, it was just perfect. The puddles splashed around as the new droplets of water joined the ground, making short tapping noises almost as if the sky was speaking in Morose Code. The night was just starting to fall which meant that the sky was a dark and hazy blue-grey, a calming and pretty sight to passersby. The stars were just starting to peek out as they twinkled onto the dark pavement below. The only thing that lit up the lot was the Family Video Store fluorescent lighting which shone on the cracks and pebbles of the pavement Eddie rode on, bike wheels slightly scuffing up the earth. His curly brown hair was now down to his shoulders since it was wet beyond belief and his clothes were equally soaked. His Hellfire Club shirt stuck to his midsection and his black ripped jeans became ten times heavier with the weight of the water holding him down. Still, he pushed through as he caught a glimpse of the writing on his shoes, urging him to go on. In the whitest parts of the soles Steve had written him little phrases. The little doodles of stars and smiley faces added to the butterflies starting to form in the pit of Eddie's chest as he knew what he was about to do.
The bike made a scraping noise as he came to an immediate halt the moment he made it to the front doors. He couldn't wait until he could exchange it for a motorbike of sorts, once he graduated highschool once and for all that is. Until then, the red chipped paint and the handlebars that locked up with every given chance would have to suffice. Throwing the transportation device onto the sidewalk, Eddie gave himself a slight pep talk before he went into the store. The movie posters that had been printed on the windows added to the feeling of excitement when he noticed one of them was The Evil Dead. Fiddling with the rings on one of his hands, he shook his wrist as the anxiety of the situation finally hit him. Still raining, he knew his slight eyeliner must've run down his face and would most likely cause a scene once he was inside the familiar store. Hopefully, since it was just closing, Eddie would be able to get in undetected via lack of customers.
Pushing open the doors, a bell resounds throughout the entirety of the small building, signifying the presence of someone entering. The carpet looked the same as he remembered, dirty and printed with that horrid triangular design exclusive to the 80's. However, even though the front desk stayed the same, the rest of the displays had been moved around expertly to accommodate all of the vhs tapes that littered the shelves. Eddie pushed on further inside, starting to regret his decision until his eyes made direct contact with Steve "The Hair" Harrington, wearing the most ridiculous green vest.
It felt as though time itself had stopped as if Eddie and Steve were the only beings in the world. Steve's hair was everywhere which told the metalhead that he had been stressed and ripping at his hair again. His light blue polo underneath the horrendous work attire brought out the phenomenal golden color of his skin and his dark brown eyes looked Eddie up and down. From the tips of his toes to the hair on his head, Steve took everything in and drank it into his memory, keeping it there as if he needed to remember every minute detail about Eddie and his physicality. The leather jacket under his patched up denim and his ridiculous perm that seemed to be exclusive to the music nerds of Hawkins High. The bats that were hidden under Eddie's clothing called out to Steve in an odd way, as if his fingers burned from the possibility of being able to graze over that portion of Eddie's skin.
Eddie offered up a slight smile to which the other boy returned, a grin that had melted the hearts of many and offered a sort of solace for the kids Eddie played D&D with. Steve was very handsome, he thought. It made him want to melt into the floor everytime he got to see the smile that showed off his brilliant teeth.
"Ahoy!- er- shit that was my last job, sorry." Steve chuckled and pushed the hair that was falling into his eyes away from his face, tucking a strand of it behind his ear as he leant on the red desk from behind. The telephone on the right of his arm was just as red as the counter and presumably Eddie's cheeks by this point. Thinking about Harrington was one thing, seeing him in the flesh was another.
"Ah it's okay, I didn't come to rent a movie." Eddie put one of his feet in front of the other, gently tapping the sole to the tip of the shoe in an anxious manner. He tried to look at anything but the beautiful boy in front of him, finding it excruciatingly hard for him to think about anything else. The ceiling tiles, the movies, the floor, the telephone, everything was so disinteresting compared to the radiance of Steve Harrington. Eddie was torn from his thoughts the moment he saw the pen lettering on his shoe.
'Never change, Munson.'
Steve had written that with a borrowed pen from Robin at one of Eddie's Corroded Coffin shows. He had played a total of two songs and there were about ten people who showed, but Steve was one of them. Eddie wouldn't have had it any other way; watching the popular boy glance at him over his guitar, tongue slightly escaping his lips as he glanced at Eddie's hands which were put to work on the strings, playing the familiar Metallica tune.
"What can I do for you then, Eddie? ...Did you bike here?" Steve asked, voice laced with slight concern. It never failed to make Eddie's insides twist and turn into something one could only describe as pure and utter admiration for another human being.
"I-I-" He began, but got lost in the words. How would he come clean about his feelings? How would he possibly be able to put into words the exact way he felt whenever Steve drove him to school or when he would smile at him from afar? How would he be able to get Steve to comprehend how he felt when he came to one of his shows? How would Eddie put into words how badly he wanted to touch Steve beyond the friendly handshakes and fist bumps?
"I think I might have a sweater lying around somewhere in the back if you want some dry clothes." Steve started to flip up the corner of the desk so he could walk out to the break room. He was wearing those stupid khakis that were so exclusive to the father community of Hawkins that Eddie would've had to suppress a laugh if he wasn't so invigorated with the current task at hand. Moving towards him, he threw all caution to the wind as he grabbed the other boy's hand, stopping him from moving any further and replacing the comfortable expression on his face with one of confusion. Steve's brows were furrowed but his hands and face were hot unbeknownst to the metalhead. This was the closest they had been in proximity by themselves, without the familiar screaming of the kids or the incessant nagging from Robin and Nancy. Just pure and utter silence and two boys looking for the right words to say.
"Steve."
"Eddie."
Eddie shifted in his spot, moving his jacket up with his shoulders and uncomfortably being awkward. Suddenly the store seemed hot and suffocating, the walls closing in on the two of them in his mind. Yet even with this sense of claustrophobia, he wanted to get even closer to Steve and to feel his hot breath exhaling against his skin and to feel the heat of him flush against his chest. To play with the hair that was always freshly sprayed with Farrah Faucet and the trace over the imperfections on his skin. Every scar, freckle, and mole on his body yearned to be touched by Steve's lips and the thought alone made him shudder in excitement. He knew he had to say this now before he was never able to again.
"I think-"
"Think what?" Steve harmlessly glanced at his face once more, trying to pick out what it was he was feeling.
"I think I feel more towards you than just a friend." Eddie finally let the words roll off his tongue and into the open air, surrounding the two of them as though they were music notes, echoing inside his mind and bouncing off the body of the boy in front of him. For a moment, Eddie felt relieved but quickly composed himself as he awaited a response.
Steve felt very very weird. He had never felt this type of way in his life, being at an indecision of what to do. He didn't know whether to freak out and shun away the thoughts he knew he had about Eddie months prior to his confession, or to accept it and let the boy know he felt the same. This would change everything and yet, it would change nothing. Eddie was so gorgeous. His hair was still dripping onto the floor that Steve was supposed to clean up after his shift, which ended twenty minutes ago. The chains and patches loosely placed onto his jeans and jacket made Steve's insides go wild at the thought of tracing over them with his hands, cautiously wondering what they would feel like under his tongue. But- despite all this- he remained expressionless, glued to his spot and not saying anything.
Eddie felt his heart break. He felt every inch of his chest erupt into fire, killing the butterflies that stemmed from his admiration and longing and anxiousness. It was all too much for him to handle. The worst part was knowing that he would have to go on as though nothing ever happened between him and the King of Hawkins High. As if every aching of his heart wasn't pointed in the direction of the one person on earth he'd wanted to be his lover since day one.
Turning around, he walked out of Family Video. The sky was now fully dark and the rain still beat against the windows, his bike now fully wet with the water that sloshed down from the gutters on the roof and the water that filled the puddles in the pavement. His heart felt similar to that in a way- just an open cavity slowly drowning from the inside out.
"Eddie!" Steve shouted from the door, but Eddie didn't want to hear it. He mounted his bike with tears in his eyes, mixing with the rain that fell from the clouds overhead. He paid no mind to Steve, who was now in the rain with him. It wasn't until he started to ride off that Steve knew he couldn't let him go. He couldn't just allow him to think that he didn't feel the same longing as he did. As if he didn't think about loving him in every extremity. Running faster, Steve managed to stand in Eddie's direction with his arms held out in an attempt to stop him from going any further. The tears threatening to spill from eyes became too much as Steve allowed them to fall, an emotion he didn't portray often.
"Eddie. I think about you that way too!"
The metalhead hopped off the bike. Standing just a few feet apart from the boy he'd grown to love, he felt the water escaping his lungs as the universe allowed him to breathe again. It was as if someone had conducted a surgery on his heart and fixed him and all the spontaneity he held within him before. All because Steve said the three words that he'd thought walking into the video store tonight.
"I love you."
And there it was. Rain still pouring relentlessly and both boys with cheeks so red you'd think they'd gotten a sunburn in the middle of autumn, there it was. The raw and beautiful emotion of two lovers who had been torn apart by society but still found a way back to one another. A couple of hesitant footsteps in front of them and the soft sobs that could be heard from Steve pushed the couple closer and closer until eventually the thoughts of tasting one another became actions. The thoughts of love and emotion became words and the intensity of their attraction became feverish as they allowed themselves to consume each other in their grasp under the harsh rain.
"I wish you hadn't waited so long to tell me that, Harrington. Otherwise, I would've been right here this whole time." Eddie said, wiping a stray tear away from his face once they broke away. A slight chuckle left him as he took in Steve's flustered but beautiful state. His hair was flatter than a pancake against his head and it made Eddie love him even more knowing that he willingly followed him out in the rain even at the expense of his hair.
"May I kiss you again?" Steve asked ever so softly, finally allowing him to voice the emotions he'd been feeling for so long.
"Of course." Eddie said, smiling and leaning in for another one.
The sky crackled above with a beautiful blue and purple lightning, shining down over the lovers who felt just as electric as the weather.
Glimpse of Us
Steve Harrington X Eddie Munson
⚠️ Warnings: this whole thing is just painful ⚠️
"You fill my lungs with sweetness, and you fill my head with you..."
The unfamiliar song started to play softly through the speakers of Steve Harrington's car, leaving him with a feeling of dread and sorrow. It was a foggy afternoon and the trees surrounding the town of Hawkins were tall and provided shade from the very little sun that poked through the clouds. It was darker than usual, a reflection of how Steve felt inside. The soft smell of petrichor filled his senses as he rolled the window down in an attempt to catch the air as he drove by. He was by himself today. No Henderson from the backseat to shout and cheer at the latest adventure they had. No Robin in the passenger side fixing her mascara and droning on about her love of Vickie. No one but the crisp cool air and soft rain starting to fall from the sky, so soft one might miss it if they weren't actively feeling rainy inside. Steve tousled his hair and wiped at his face as he continued down the path to the familiar clearing in the woods; somewhere he would be completely isolated and alone.
Pulling up alongside the road, he put his car in park and slumped against the wheel. His head hurt from the night before as he had stayed up later than normal, drinking an endless amount of coffee to get him through work and then through home. His cardigan felt heavier than usual as he wrapped it around himself quickly, trying to trap in any warmth before turning off the car and walking outside.
The King of Hawkins High now had a slight limp in his walk ever since the battle for his home. His hair was starting to lighten up at the roots and he had lost a couple pounds. Chiseled jawline and sad eyes completed the forlorn look he now wore with contemptness. Vecna was a thing of the past, but the pain the monster left him was far greater than anything that could truly heal over time. Today was full of nostalgia for him so he decided to release his emotions in the only way he knew how to; talking to Eddie.
The trees eventually opened up into the bright and beautiful field he had known all too well; the grassy meadow was a bright yellow in contrast to the darkness of the rest of the world which Steve figured was his friend's doing. Such a happy corner of the universe but such a sad day it held within its corners. 1986.
Eddie looked lovely today. The birds were flying overhead in intricate but beautiful patterns in the sky, keeping a watchful eye on everything happening down below. They paid no mind to Steve as he frequented this place often. Besides from Dustin, he was the only other human to walk this place with the knowledge of what it truly meant. Visions of Eddie running around with Dustin himself, bright eyed and beaming grins as they pranced about the meadow with their makeshift swords and shields. Robin and Steve had sat alongside the outside as they shaped spears using what they had gathered. Erica and Lucas fighting over the binoculars as they playfully expressed that they cared for each other. The last time when things were truly perfect, Steve thought to himself as he sunk to his knees by the site where Eddie rested now.
"Eddie Munson. The Hero of Hawkins."
The inscription was clear even though the rest of the grave had been worn away after quite some time. It was small so it would've been glanced over if you weren't on the lookout for the home of the Hellfire Club leader. There were a few sprouts of miscellaneous plants growing out from some of the sides and around the lot. The dead rose from the last time Steve came to visit laid atop, waiting to be replaced with another flower. He fished into his cardigan and pulled out another rose similar to the other one, although this one was very much alive. The petals were vibrant and dewey, matching the surroundings of the meadow and the sky overhead.
"Hey Eddie." Steve said, getting comfortable on the ground and fiddling with the grass. "It's been a while."
"Nancy and I will have to visit with the kids someday soon." He began, working towards trying to have the confidence speaking out in the open like this. A faint smile appeared on his face as he said his next lines.
"The meadow looks beautiful as ever, Eddie. I can see all the work you've put into it. Your aura was always a contagious one."
Steve swallowed back a tear as he ran his fingers over the inscription he had paid for himself. Eddie would always be known as the hero, even if it was only to a few people who resided in Indiana. Funny how your world can be comprised of a few science kids and a couple college friends. Or how it used to be, anyways. Before everyone grew up.
"We named our oldest after you. Ironically, he's very into Metallica. You would be so proud of your namesake." Steve said, feeling proud for a moment at the mention of his son. Him and Nancy had gotten married in the summer of '99. She had worn a plain and simple wedding dress but she looked beautiful as ever in it, hair pinned to the top of her head and a pearl necklace around her neck. Her smile had beamed so brightly that day and Steve felt like the luckiest man in the world.
"Robin apparently still visits Hawkins from time to time. She moved to Washington not long after everything went down in Hawkins. She said she couldn't take it anymore. We had a party for her and then she left the next day. I haven't heard from her since." The mention of his best friend made him crinkle his nose in fondness, remembering the night they spent drugged in the bathroom of the Starcourt Mall and her coming out to him as a lesbian.
"I know Henderson comes to see you with his family sometimes. He's almost always over at our place. He keeps me updated on everything happening in his household. Turns out, he's a great babysitter too. He tells Eddie all about you and about how great you were."
"Lucas became a professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers. He's quite good, it turns out that he's found his people and his talent. He and Max still have some unfinished business, but as far as I know she lives alone after her mother passed not too long ago. She's doing better now since she woke up from that coma, volunteering at the local hospital. She went back to college to get a degree in nursing."
Steve tried his best to explain everything he knew. Eddie was the glue that seemed to hold their group together. After his passing, everyone went their separate ways and Steve felt very isolated. He missed his kids and the way it used to be sometimes, especially on days like today. But the same part of him that yearned for their reunion was the same part of him that was ever so pleased they all ended up okay. He couldn't be anything but proud of them after they all worked so hard to get where they were.
"The Byers still live in Lenora. Hopper went with them and he got married to Joyce. Jonathan went off with Argyle and started their own clothing line. It's pretty ridiculous, but I've heard that they're making a ton of money from it. Eleven is still with Mike. They visit us sometimes too when they can. They're still distraught over Joyce and her death not long after they had gotten married themselves. Nance and I went up to see them and it was almost as if the whole gang was back together. You would've loved it!"
Steve was laughing now as he explained their wedding even further. It was a shame that Joyce had contracted an illness but she didn't go down without a fight. Hopper visits her grave all the time when he's not too busy working for the post office. He still takes care of Eleven and adopted her the moment he was able to.
"Will is working as a librarian and he got married but that's about all I know. He's the one kiddo that hardly keeps in contact anymore. I heard he's a published author, but I don't know the titles of any of his works."
Steve stopped his rambling and stared down at the plants poking out from the grave. It was refreshing to see some new flowers popping up here and there, a contrast from the yellowing of the meadow grass. It was now starting to rain harder and he could feel the water droplets hitting his head, almost like the ticking of a clock telling him that his time with Eddie was almost up. He composed himself from his slight moment of fondness and looked down at the shining stone beneath his feet.
"Eddie." He said, moving towards the top of the gravestone and petting it in the same way he used to pet his long curly brown hair that was always mischievously framing his face and flying about. Eddie would smoke cigarettes while Steve played with it as he laid on top of his friend and played some of his Corroded Coffin guitar solos. His smile would light up Steve's entire room as the eccentric metalhead boy would sit on the end of the bed and laugh with him about their music tastes and the typical drama of the day. Eddie's Hellfire notebook would be sprawled out on the floor as he placed back and forth while he talked about what was to be expected from their next campaign while Steve listened intently. He would tilt his head if Steve had any ideas to offer and would jump up and down if something he had said would be added to the exciting fun of DND. Munson would run around in Steve's bomber jacket when it was cold. He would hold his hands when he wanted him to know something important so that he would have Steve's undivided attention. Eddie would prance around the field with Black Sabbath blasting through his Walkman. He would yell up at the night sky and ask for the universe to lift the curse that held him to Hawkins.
"I never stopped loving you." Steve admitted. Before he headed back towards the warmth of his car, he took off his cardigan and placed it atop Eddie's final resting place and smiled. "So you don't get cold, is all." He said.
Steve didn't believe in God or any particular religion, but he knew that somewhere somehow, Eddie heard every word.
I'm sorry to all of you who are here for other fanfictions, it might take a while since I'm on a bit of a Stranger Things kick!
Seriously though, I am a writing machine this week. I need to read more of Dune before I start on part four of that, but people have been asking and they shall receive.
I love you all and I hope you're having a wonderful day/night wherever you are. Send me asks if there's any ideas you come up with or if you just want to say hi!!

STEVE HARRINGTON X READER
He's loved you since the beginning. It's a shame you had to be taken from him so quickly.
⚠️ Warnings: angst!!!! Blood, death ⚠️
Steve held the firecrackers to his chest as he waited for the perfect time to throw it at the demon threatening the lives of his favorite people in Hawkins. The Mind Flayer- also known as the mysterious rat creature- had tormented everyone it came across. Now, as it finally stood inside the Starcourt Mall, it awaited its death in a valiant effort to fight back. Steve counted in his head the seconds before he would have to throw the fiery device at the creature created from the depths of the Upside Down.
"One, Two, Three, Four-" Steve heard Robin count before she threw her firecracker from the balcony. Her short hair flew with the thrust of her arm, hitting the back of the demon and watching a portion of its arm erupting into flames. She looked determined with a fierce glare that she directed at the Mind Flayer; eyes squinted and face contorted into one of complete and utter concentration. Steve had never seen her so focused.
And then, there was you. Watching the creature from the bottom of where you stood, feeling the agonizing burns of the firecrackers yourself. Connected to the monster, it was impossible for the group to make sure you stayed safe while they went for the kill. Your skin was ashen grey and the veins on your body shone black with the poison of the universe which ran parallel to Hawkins. You looked like a shell of the person Steve once knew you to be; the bright and happy (Y/N) that he loved so much and found so much in common with. The (Y/N) who went to all his basketball games and laughed with him in his car while The Police were softly playing from the speakers. The (Y/N) that always knew what to say to cheer him up after a bad day. The (Y/N) that he had asked out on that particularly cold winter day when he realized that seeing you wearing his scarf was a sight he didn't want to lose. You were still that person, of course, but now you were tainted with the horrible curse of the town Steve sought to run away from since the beginning of all this madness. You were still beautiful even though you weren't entirely yourself. And you were still his. Something he considered worth fighting for.
He counted down from ten before releasing the same firecracker into the direction of the monster which took you. He saw your eyes burn and your hands flail around until they reached your face, pulling at your eyes and dragging your fingers across your skin showing the pain you felt on the inside. The veins seemed to sear across your skin like black tendrils; vines opening up and crawling on every inch of your body. He felt a pang in his chest watching you being forced to suffer like this. He wanted nothing more than to have the old you back in his arms playing with your hair after the two of you woke up from another night spent at Steve's. It seemed like a millennia ago.
You screamed in pain and dropped to the ground just as the monster shifted in place, shrinking up against one of the walls towards the kids on the other side of the balcony: Lucas and Max trying their best to ward off the Mind Flayer.
Steve's maternal instincts kicked in and he ran towards the kids, much to Robin's avail. Her arm flung out in an attempt to grab her co-worker and friend as he raced towards the two fifteen-year-olds with their walkies in hand, firecrackers in the other.
"Steve!" Robin yelled, running after him as he tackled the kids into a protective hug just as the monster swung out and crashed its arm into the place they once stood. He held them close and squinted his eyes to try and block out the surroundings. This was all too much too fast. Robin joined him on the other side, holding Lucas close to her as she wrapped her arms around him protectively. He had a single tear threatening to spill down his cheeks and Max looked equally horrified.
You screaming once more brought Steve's attention back to what was happening below. Eleven had joined you in the fight with her arm outstretched in the air as she tried to push you back towards the monster and away from her friends. You floated just a few inches above the linoleum tiles, still in pain from your previous feat. Eleven looked deadly as she threw you to the ground.
"Stop!" Steve yelled before he even got a grasp of what it was he was saying. The guilt of you potentially being killed hit him like a train as he realized how this scenario was bound to play out. He had been too stupid, agreeing to fighting the Mind Flayer in hopes of getting you back, cutting you off from the demon permanently. The kids knew and Robin knew that it just wasn't possible.
"Don't kill (Y/N)!" He said, much more confident in his words and in more pain than he thought imaginable. Eleven turned to look at him with sorrowful eyes and an apologetic glance as blood dripped from her nostril above her lip.
"It has to happen!" She stated with utmost certainty. She knew this was the only way and as much as she hated the idea of losing you, she wanted to keep her friends safe. She remembered the times where you offered the kids rides from school and when you gave her advice about boys. You were so close to her, to lose you would be one of the worst things she would have to experience. But she couldn't lose Mike.
"But- I-I love her!" Steve finally let the reality of the situation hit him, his eyes spilling tears all over and his bottom lip quivering in fear and hurt. His heart shattered and his stomach felt as though someone were pushing a knife into him over and over, turning the blade every which way to deepen the wound. His head burned and his hands ached as he pressed his fingernails into the floor, blood starting to form from the tips of them. He had been scratched up pretty badly and the burning of his wounded eye was hardly anything compared to what he felt on the inside.
Steve's words caught your attention. Your mind an empty space of blackness finally felt as though it were opening up. You had no control over your movements prior to this moment and all you could feel was the searing of your flesh coming into contact with the burning sensation of the firecrackers. Running around aimlessly in the void that was your possessed body, you finally felt yourself able to take control- even if just for a moment. You turned to Steve and felt time stop as you looked into his tear-filled eyes knowing it was you that caused him that pain.
You smiled ever so slightly as another firecracker was thrown by Mike, bringing you back to the fight at hand. You winced in pain and felt the demon you were attached to move hastily towards Eleven, who had been knocked to the ground after her previous attempt at killing you. You were going to save her from this if it was the last thing you did. Running to her small body on the ground, you threw yourself on top of her and blocked out the monster's attack, feeling yourself ripping in two. Eyes wide and crying, Eleven looked down at the thing which stabbed you, the leg of the Mind Flayer itself, lodged into your chest.
And in that moment you thought back to the time Steve had asked you to be his. You had stolen his scarf when it was snowing, the falling pieces of sky finding themselves gently tapping your hair and leaving it in a small blanket of white. Your cheeks were rosy and your hands hurt from the cold but Steve's scarf had kept you warm. He was wearing his signature blue jeans and polo shirt with he letterman jacket from the basketball team at Hawkins High. His hair was also coated in snow and even though the two of you were practically freezing to death, he looked happier than ever.
"(Y/N)," he had said that day, "Will you be with me? Like- with me with me?"
You had smiled so much from his cute anxiousness and placed your hand in his. "Of course." You said, the happiest girl on earth.
You looked at Eleven underneath you and smiled the same way you did on the day Steve lent you his scarf.
"Tell Steve I love him too. Please." Were the last words you said before everything you knew faded to black.

A/N: I hope this is okay, I don't usually write angst but I was listening to Little Freak by Harry Styles and I'm all out of cookies. Enjoy :) 💛🦐

⚠️ Warnings: swearing, crack ⚠️
Eddie held onto your hand tightly as you made your way through the hallways of Hawkins High; class was still in session so the two of you had to be somewhat quiet as you snuck your way out the front doors. You were in Chemistry when Eddie had brought up the proposition by waving his hands frantically on the other side of the small window on the door, motioning for you to join him and leave once again. You had looked over to your friend and waited for them to push their books off their desk so you could manage to sneak out. The professor had been too invested in what had happened to notice you slip out the door and into your boyfriend's arms.
You and Eddie had done this many times before, loving the feeling of adrenaline coursing through your entire body as excitement took hold over you, whipping past open doorways and teachers roaming the halls. Giggling, you watched your boyfriend run in front of you with his long and curly hair flowing about his face as the wrinkles around his eyes became more and more prominent with every smile he sent in your direction. His Hellfire Club T-shirt taunted you from afar and his metalhead denim jacket rattled with the weight of his various band pins and patches. He looked absolutely beautiful in this moment.
Noticing one of the classrooms approaching, you hurriedly pulled him back from the open doorway, taking shelter against the wall to try and stay out of view of every student within it. Trying your best to peer in undetected, you noticed that the teacher was on the opposite side of the room. Just then, you locked eyes with a concerned Dustin who was twiddling a pencil in between his fingers and staring at you with a "not this shit again" look. His baseball cap was slightly lopsided and a grin threatened to show on his face when he realized Eddie was with you.
You sent him a salute and then pulled Eddie behind you as fast as you could to escape the eyes of Dustin's classroom. It seemed as though you would make it out without suspicion but Eddie had to hit one of the lockers with his foot, which led to him falling to the floor and laughing.
"Eddie!" You whisper-shouted as you tried to show some form of discontent, but you were laughing too hard with him for it to come across as angry as you would've liked.
"Munson? What are you doing out of class?" Dustin's teacher appeared from her classroom as she took in the sight of the rocker on the ground holding his foot as a stream of giggly curse words left his lips. Standing up as fast as humanly possible, Eddie straightened his shoulders and put on the best serious face he could muster.
"I was showing (Y/N) where the bathrooms were." He said, trying to come up with an excuse on the fly.
"That was the same excuse you used last time I caught you out here."
Eddie struggled to try and come up with something else but then Dustin came running out of the room clutching his stomach and screaming.
"Mrs. Mundy! I'm going to throw up on- on- uh- everything!!!" Dustin screamed, grabbing onto her arm and puffing out his cheeks.
"Dustin! Do you need to see the nurse?!" Mrs. Mundy questioned with concern at her student.
You silently thanked Dustin and grabbed onto Eddie's shoulder, taking the distraction and running in the opposite direction towards the doors where Steve would be waiting with his car for the two of you.
"Actually I think I'm fine, it must've been a spur-of-the-moment thingy." Dustin said, shrugging his shoulders the minute you were out of sight.
You held Eddie's hand as you pushed past the doors and made your way to the familiar blue car parked out front with a familiar looking guy with big hair. He stuck his arm out the window, motioning for you two to run faster. And run faster you did. Jumping up the stairs to the parking lot and hopping in the car, you see principal Higgins walking outside, trying his best to catch up to the two of you.
"You can't leave! School's not over!" He shouted but to no avail as Steve readied his car and drove off so fast you thought the doors might fly off. Eddie was situated in the backseat while you were on the passenger side. Rolling down his window, Eddie flipped the principal off and laughed maniacally.
"Thanks for picking us up, Steve." You said, face beaming.
"Of course, I have to look out for my two little shits." He said, looking in his rearview mirror and watching the school fade into the distance.
"You got any Metallica on that stereo of yours?" Eddie piped in from the back with a hopeful grin.
"Always." Steve said, and put in a tape. The Smiths started blasting through the sound system of the car and he drummed his fingers rhythmically to the beat.
"You motherfucker I asked for Metallica!!" Eddie pouted and hit Steve playfully on the arm over and over again as he threw a little temper tantrum in the backseat.
Steve turned the volume up even higher and yelled over Morrissey, "I can't hear you!"
You propped your feet up against the dash and watched as your boyfriends argued over the radio. Oh well, it was better than sitting through another boring Chemistry lesson.

You finally open up to your boyfriend about how you've been feeling and you're met with a side of him you didn't realize existed.
⚠️ Warnings: MENTIONS OF AN ED, slight angst, slight swearing? Affectionate Billy ⚠️
Sitting outside on the steps to your boyfriend's house, you felt a pit in your stomach as you contemplated what words to use next. In the grand scheme of things, you didn't think your eating habits would be something to worry about with the Upside Down existing, but your boyfriend had you sit down to explain to him what exactly was going on. You supposed that it wasn't fair to keep him out of the loop like this, but you just really didn't want him to worry. You were doing a good job at concealing it for the most part until you had fainted earlier that evening.
"Hey." Billy said, coming out from the house with a bottle of water in his hands. He gently set the drink by you and joined you on the stairs while you looked up at the night sky. It was pretty but you would've enjoyed it more if you weren't about to have the conversation you were going to.
"Hey." Was all you said, not turning to look at him for fear of what he might do or say. Billy had always been somewhat of a menace to others and had been known to be forceful when things didn't go his way. You were usually met with his softer side, or what you supposed would be softer actions. You wondered if that would hold through to tonight. He didn't seem angry when he placed his hand on your leg, gently rubbing the spot and chewing on his lip in concentration. He was at a loss for words.
When he finally figured out exactly how he wanted to go about the situation, he spoke up, "(Y/N), Are you okay? Please don't just say yes because you feel you have to."
Your eyes started to feel droopy with oncoming tears but you pushed them down. It wasn't all the time that you were emotional with him but when he treated you as though you were the whole world, it was hard for you not to be.
Your eyes met his and you noticed how stern but worried he looked. His expression wasn't one you were expecting, to say the least. It was a nice surprise however and you felt your bones become heavy as you let yourself sink into his arms.
"Billy." You said, in between sobs as you finally let go of the words you had been wanting to say for so long.
"(Y/N)."
"I'm having a hard time eating." You said, feeling the words slip off your tongue into reality. It never felt real or like a necessity to talk about until this very moment as your lover stared you in the eyes. You felt him stiffen as you let go into his chest and as one weight lifted, another one fell.
"I know." Was what he replied with, moving his arms to wrap around you and push your hair back behind your ears. This only made you sob harder into his chest. "I've known this whole time but I didn't want to treat you as though you weren't capable of handling yourself. I should've said something sooner."
Getting up from his chest, you tried to wipe the tears off your face in a haste to stop this emotion from taking over. Surprising you with his actions once more, he held your hands gently to stop you from wiping them.
"Don't." He said, rubbing small circles onto your skin. "Let them fall. It's okay."
Billy let you cry some more in his arms as he lit a cigarette. He took a drag and then handed it to you, allowing for you to calm yourself down with the drug. Thanking him silently, you move in closer to his touch and allow for his arms to consume you entirely like the depressive episode you were having. Of course Billy had known. The more you thought about it, the more it made sense. The nights you would go to bed without eating anything he made for the two of you and all of the times you would pass up dinner dates. The breakfasts you spent together where you would insist that a stick of gum was plenty enough to hold you over until lunch and then not meeting him in the cafeteria. He had known all along, but he didn't know how to help you when you didn't know how to help yourself. He wanted to save your ego.
You started to laugh a little bit as you handed the cigarette back up to Billy to which he placed between his fingers and let a small smile loose.
"I missed that noise, where had you been hiding it all this time?" He asked, gently poking you in the sides to try and get another laugh out.
"You were trying to boost my ego." You said, turning up to look at him. That was when you saw a small tear threatening to slip out of his eyes. He was too concentrated on the stars above as he took another drag and listened to what you had to say. You didn't want him to know that you had seen the tear, so you adverted your gaze back to its original position. Now you were the one who was saving his ego.
"No. I just didn't want you to think that I would treat you like you weren't the badass I know and love." He said, passing the cigarette back over to you.
"Would I still be that badass if I asked for a little help every now and then?" You asked, trying to state your insecurity to him in a way that would be a bit playful in fear that you were dropping too much on him. He smiled at you with those beautiful eyes that you fell in love with time and time again.
"Of course." He said with absolute certainty before leaning over and placing a hand on the side of your cheek.
The stars may have been beautiful tonight, but Billy was more beautiful.

When your four friends decide on their plan to defeat Vecna, you're instantly aware of how dangerous this mission will be. It's more difficult than slashing a Demogorgon or hiding from the Mind Flayer and you're unsure whether you'll get out safely. After Nancy is taken, the only thing you can do is lay your life on the line.....and play the most badass rock show the world has ever known.
⚠️ Warnings: swearing, blood and gore⚠️
The cold dark air rushed all around the five of you, snagging at your clothes and brushing your hair every which way. The ashen sky fell with literal ash and painted your clothes with the grey color, almost as a warning of how intertwined with the universe you were to be as you continued on with your weapons in hand. Your shoes scuffed up the ground of the once familiar Hawkins and the vines at your feet made it difficult to navigate without the fear of falling or becoming entangled in them. It was a dark day indeed, and everyone knew it. No one had the comfort of knowing they would make it out of this alive and that resonated with the silence that hung in the air and clawed at your skin; your bones becoming heavier and heavier as you trudged on with tears starting to form in your eyes- wondering if this was the last moment the five of you would share.
Your clothes and everyone else's had been tattered with the previous encounter of Demobats: pesky little things that would be the equivalent of a small demon dog. It had bit Eddie and Robin before they had been slashed by Steve and his axe which he had brought along with him in preparation for this fight. Steve had saved you guys many times, tonight wasn't an exception. He looked older now, a stark contrast from when he was the seventeen-year-old you had first met with his cute haircut and bright eyes. Now, he was filled with a sadness that seeped through his skin and wore out his features, his face a permanent expression of exhaustion and worry. Nancy wasn't too far behind, her face had worn itself out as well and bags were starting to form under her eyes. She was worried about the outcome of today and about Jonathan whom's safety she was always unsure of. Robin's lips were formed into a permanent frown and Eddie....Eddie was the most determined one out of all of you. Lines on his face creased with nervousness and fear as to what came next, but his eyes shone with a passion you had never seen in your life. He was ready. Ready to defend himself and his friends.
You slowly progressed up to where Eddie was walking leading the group and slipped your cold hand in his warm one. He didn't turn to look at you for fear that he would burst into tears at the idea of losing you, but he gave your hand a squeeze to which you did back to him. It was a calming gesture of sorts, and you could feel the confidence slowly coming back to you with having him by your side. His Hellfire shirt seemed like a tease at a life you missed so much: one that was filled with friends and mysticism that only existed in board games. You craved to have that sense of normalcy back; a time where you weren't forced to be a hero.
"Everything will be okay." You whispered, enough for him to hear you. His hair swayed softly with the wind and he chewed on his bottom lip.
"In case it isn't," he began, finally turning to you and you could see a single tear falling from his eyes, "I love you."
You felt your heart shatter. You were just a bunch of kids trying to make it in this world. It wasn't fair for your youth to be stripped away.
And suddenly, everything that was slightly calming about the situation completely evaporated the minute you turned around to check on everyone else. Eyes rolled back into her head and feet floating off the ground, Nancy was staring up at the cursed sky with her mouth slightly agape.
"Nancy!" You yelled, catching the attention of everyone else around you. Steve was the first to react by rushing over to Nancy and trying his best to bring her back down to the earth. Robin followed suit and grabbed one of her legs as she continued to ascend into the air. You and Eddie were at a loss for words or action. Steve had looked at you and almost in slow motion, he gave you the look of a panicked boyfriend even though him and Nancy had broken up long ago. He was terrified. And to make matters worse, there was no Walkman in sight.
"Music! What's her favorite song?!" You yelled, turning to Eddie for help only to realize that where he once stood was empty and he was rushing in the opposite direction. "Eddie!"
Eddie screamed out "I'm getting my guitar!"
With his shoes kicking up the strange otherworldly dirt and nearly tripping over seven vines, he ran faster than he ever had towards the trailer park in which him and his uncle lived. It seemed like a millennia ago, waiting for his uncle to come home from work and listen to Ozzy with him on the record player they shared. It was a fond memory, one of the only ones he had of his uncle that he liked to look back on, but he found this memory to be what continued to push him towards his house and to his guitar. Starting to sweat as he dawned the familiar woods that he used to smoke weed and hang out with you in, he threw off his denim jacket and pushed up his sleeves getting closer and closer to his fated destiny.
He threw open the door and practically fell into the trailer, slipping on the carpet that his uncle had insisted on keeping by the door so as not to track mud into his place. If only his uncle could see the mess now.
Eddie could see the portal back to his universe on the ceiling from where Chrissy had been taken. The vines surrounding the hole overgrown and cascading down all sides of the small living room and through to the bedroom and kitchen. They almost seemed to breathe, as if the entire trailer was alive rather than teeming with life. It was definitely a spectacle. The metal head thought to himself for a moment as he contemplated what it would be like to just jump back through the portal and be far away from here. To rid himself of anything Hawkins related and to relocate somewhere where he would never be found. It would be so much easier just to run away, to not have to be the hero everyone counted on him being.
But then he thought to you. And he quickly recollected himself.
Running to the bedroom, he saw his prized possession hanging up in front of his bedroom mirror, the only thing that wasn't touched by the strangeness of the Upside Down. The cheetah print red shine of the body called out to him and gave him a sense of purpose and time. The familiar strings he had played so many times brushed under his fingers and let out the softest hum of music. It was in tune. Just as he had left it.
"Sorry I'm late, sweetheart." He said, thinking back to the same words he had said when Chrissy was in his presence. He would've loved to be friends with her.
He grabbed the guitar and swung it over his shoulder, quickly finding the amps and power cords he had around his room. It was no easy task, but he moved everything to the roof of the trailer where he knew he would be able to play. He never imagined his first gig since leaving Corroded Coffin to be in another dimension, but he was totally digging the vibe. Cords, cords, and more cords were plugged in as he prepared himself to do the only thing he knew best.
Play music.
....
Nancy didn't have much time. The red sky loomed overhead which was a complete contrast from the familiar blue that she had just left. Everything that wasn't touched by the unsettling blood color was black. The vines, the trees, the ground. Victor Creel's house.
The mansion stuck out like a sore thumb amongst all the chaos of floating rubble. Its towers reached the sky, scraping it with its haphazard rooftops and shingles. The attic window was brightly lit while the rest of the house was pitch black, signifying where Vecna committed his acts of violence: terrorizing the town and dooming young teens to their deaths for what, Nancy wasn't certain. She remembers the lifeless corpse of Fred with his eyes sunken in and his limbs bent every which way. His scar was like a warning as it marked his face and his fate.
Nancy did a once-over and made sure she was okay. Her ribs hurt but it was presumably the fall that led to it. Her eyes burned and her veins jolted with the fear she felt in her entire body, matched by the adrenaline of the fight.
Suddenly, a figure loomed to her left as it joined her in staring at the front of the house. She didn't bother to look at it; to let it know that she was frightened. She wanted to put on a brave front. The figure was almost a foot taller than she was and she could feel the vines pushing out of the way for this being to walk. It's hot breath met her ear.
"It was such a lovely house." It said, making itself known. Nancy gulped back some of the fear she felt and allowed her fingers to nervously drum against the sides of her thighs. It was torturous just to be in the presence of Vecna as she knew how it was going to play out if the others didn't save her. Her body joining Fred and Chrissy, six feet under with a torso so bent out of shape they would have to create a custom coffin. The very thought chilled her to the bone.
"Why are you doing this?" She asked, sounding more scared than she meant to.
Vecna turned to look at her and moved towards the front of the stairs, backing her into a corner. It was such an odd juxtaposition; an evil entity with all the power in the world being so calm towards her, as if this wasn't her death he was about to bring onto her.
"I will end all your suffering." He said, slowly lifting up his arm which was adorned with long claws attached to even longer fingers, moving to touch her face ever so gently but piercing into her skin. She closed her eyes and thought back to the night she was at Jonathan's house.
The alphabet was horribly drawn into the yellowing wallpaper, Christmas lights surrounding the entirety of the house and illuminating the living room and writing. The lights were going off one by one as Will tried to contact them, using the letters to form short words and sentences. Steve had been there too, a bat with nails in it and a black eye from his fight with Jonathan. The two boys looked at each other and then at her as they awaited what was to happen next. Nancy held the weight of a gun in her hands.
When the wall broke in and a Demogorgon appeared, it had been Steve that had acted first. With his bat in hand and baseball stance, he had struck the demon over and over again, watching it bleed out into the ground from whence it came. Even then, he continued to strike the beast over and over just in an attempt to protect Nancy.
He had saved her then, and he would save her now. Nancy was sure of it.
"It's the final countdown."
All of a sudden, her thoughts were interrupted by a song that was so familiar and overplayed she wanted to laugh at the ridiculousness and throw up with the fear at the same time. Her mouth contorted into something of a smile as Vecna released his grip on her skull, forcing Nancy to the ground as she looked towards the red sky that was now blue towards the far right of the house.
Turning back on the ground and taking one last glance at Vecna, she locked eyes with the creature that looked more angry than anything else.
"Fuck you." She said, and started running towards the blue light.
The ground felt like water as she tried to run the fastest she could away from Vecna. The floating debris of the house started raining down on her, trying to stray her from her path. One from the right and then one from the left, sending her onto the ground only for her to get right back up again and run even faster than before.
"We're heading for Venus..."
Nancy followed the song and followed the light, losing her slip on shoes in the process. Barefoot, she raced towards the end of this nightmarish hell, bracing herself for impact if she were to fall again. Catching a quick glimpse from behind her, she saw the beast wasn't too far behind.
"And still we stand tall..."
The silly tune guided her to the end of the light where she finally made out of the red portal and back into her body. Feeling a surge of motion sickness, she felt herself fill her body once again, feeling like the little pills with sponge dinosaurs once they hit water.
Dropping from the sky, she fell back into the arms of Steve, who was ready to catch her from the beginning. He held her closely, brushing stray strands of hair from her face and taking in her frazzled state. She was covered in dirt and there were scratches on the sides of her face that he swore hadn't been there before.
"Cause maybe they've seen us...and welcome us all, yeah..."
Eddie's music blared on from the woods, louder than anything they've ever heard. The Demobats started to fill the sky in search of the sound, rushing through the sky and towards the trees. You stood frozen in place as you watched them head towards your boyfriend. Looking towards Robin, she gave you a smile and tilted her head in Eddie's direction.
"Go save him." She said with absolute certainty and you felt yourself running towards your boyfriend before she even finished getting the words out. Your shoes made heavy stomping noises as you ran faster than you ever had in your life in hopes of making it in time to warn Eddie and beat the swarm together.
As you neared the woods, you saw his jacket lying on the ground and you picked it up, throwing it over your shoulders and running up to his residence, seeing him shredding his guitar and head banging like you had so many times when seeing him play for Corroded Coffin.
"Eddie!" You screamed, jumping up the ladder and racing to his side. He was so lost in the song, he didn't even notice you had joined him up on the roof until you grabbed one of the other guitars he had brought up there.
"Hey! What are you planning on doing with that?!" He asked over the music.
"Oh shut up! You have another one at home!" You said, preparing the guitar like a bat.
"You're such a badass!" He said as he finally gave you a smile since getting mixed up in the affairs of the Upside Down. The Final Countdown ended and Eddie took a look at his guitar, his most precious thing in the universe after you, of course. Giving a swift kiss to the body, he held it out in front of him and mumbled an "I love you" before he readied it like a baseball bat, same as you.
"Here they come!" You said, watching the Demobats fill the night sky and coming rushing down towards the two of you.
"This is the most heavy metal thing I've ever done!" Eddie yelled and then the two of you started beating the bats with the guitars, throwing them down onto the ground and the roof as you hit them over and over and stabbed them with the broken pieces. Eddie dropped his guitar and bit off the head of one, watching the blood spurt out onto the equipment that was now useless. You crushed one of the bats in between two of the amps and watched the blood spurt out and fly everywhere, coating your clothes in it. It would be a miracle if Eddie would be able to wear his Hellfire Club shirt again after this. Just then, two more bats came your way at full speed.
Eddie moved in towards you after finishing with his bat and pushed you off the trailer, holding you in his arms to stop the fall. He watched the bats get confused and continue to fly forwards in search of you as he pulled you up off the ground and rushed you into his house.
Locking the door and barricading it with everything in his sight, you both sat on the ground next to the couch to keep out of sight from the windows and to catch your breaths. Everything happened so fast, it was surprising that you two had made it out of that situation alive. Looking at your boyfriend you saw a couple cuts along his face and arms and you grazed his skin gently.
"Eddie. I saw you bit the head off a bat. You totally had your Ozzy Osbourne moment." You said, giggling slightly.
"(Y/N). That was singlehandedly the coolest moment of my life." He said.
The two of you made out on the floor of course.
They Don't Deserve You.

When you ask your friend to go to prom for fun and they decide to leave you, someone far better and more interesting appears and sweeps you off your feet.
⚠️ Warnings: Swearing ⚠️
(Just a short little drabble!)
The lights and music blaring from the venue hid you from the watchful eyes as you were a complete and utter mess. The sky started to darken allowing for a cover as you tried your hardest not to cry, sniffling from the banister leading into the event. Your shoes were scuffed and your wrist hurt from the once pretty corsage and your makeup felt much too heavy on your face. You had tried so hard to make everything about tonight fun since this year truly hadn't been the best. It's supposed to be the night of the year but of course it just ended the same way your previous ones had; you were alone and unhappy.
Your "date's" words rang through your head as you remembered how blatantly rude they had been to you and your friends. Deciding to up and leave the prom entirely, they had walked in with you for the approval of everyone else and left the minute they didn't have a use for you anymore. It wasn't fair. A part of you didn't blame them though. Why would you have expected them to want to stay?
The doors were announced to be closing from the main entryway which you were standing directly outside of. You needed to feel the wind to calm yourself down after today, so you opted to remain right where you were standing beside the railing and hoping for your date to realize they had made a mistake and come driving back to you.
Of course this didn't happen though, and after a couple more moments you picked up your dress so as not to step on it as you walked back towards the horde of other students in sparkly attire and smiling faces. It was going to be hard to meander back into the rest of society after being out here for so long, but you were sure that after a few drinks later this entire school event will be long forgotten.
"Hey!" You heard from under the stair railing. The entire venue had been elevated due to it being on a hill so there was a blind spot out of sight from the teachers roaming around. Looking behind you, you contemplated walking back to your original spot to scope things out but decided it was probably your imagination. Until you heard the voice again.
"("Y/N")!"
It was louder this time, but still a whisper of sorts. Going back towards the banister, you look down and see the most brilliant head of hair. Bright eyes and a shining smile, your friend Steve Harrington stood below you in a black suit and red button up. He had come with a different girl, but he was alone now. Alone with the most excited look on his face.
"Harrington?" You called and tried your best to hide the fact that you'd been crying. Wiping your face with the back of your hands, you put on the best smile you could possibly muster with the sinking feeling in your stomach.
"You look beautiful." He said, coming up to your level from his secret hiding spot. With him standing this close to you, the height difference was apparent as he stood at 6ft. Well, add a couple inches for the hair.
"Thank you." You said, even though you didn't believe it. If you had looked prettier then maybe you wouldn't have been left outside from the party by yourself.
Steve offers his hand out to you and motions his head towards the road. "Wanna get out of here?" He asks, slipping his other hand into his pants pocket.
Confusion dawning your face, you looked for Steve's date. He couldn't just up and leave her, could he?
"What about-"
"My date?" He began, smiling even wider, "She left with yours."
"Oh." Was all you could say, shocked at the idea of your friend leaving because of someone else. You felt the pain in your chest tighten just a little bit more as jealousy filled you. What wasn't envy was self-doubt. Why had things turned out the way they did? And who on earth would leave Steve Harrington when he looks this goddamn good?
"It's really okay! Fuck them." He laughed, placing his hand in yours. You caught a whiff of his deliciously intoxicating cologne and stared at the rest of his outfit. He looked really nice. Too nice to be by himself tonight. Little did you know, he thought the exact same thing about you.
"You know what? Yeah. Fuck them." You said, wiping the stray tear that fell from your cheek as you took off your shoes and followed Harrington into the night towards his car. Running through the grass, you heard one of Kate Bush's popular songs playing, urging you to run faster. Laughing, you allow yourself to feel free and happy being with someone who didn't take you for granted. The way it should've been.
"They don't deserve you!" Steve called out to you over the music, trying his best to be heard over the intensive bass.
"What?!"
"I said, they don't deserve you!"
And just like that, you and Steve drove away into the night, a whole new flood of possibilities overwhelming you and leaving you with the happiest feeling within the pit of your stomach. You silently thanked that asshole for leaving you since someone far cooler with much bigger hair was able to sweep you off your feet.
Steve Harrington X Reader (Established Relationship) X Eddie Munson
Slight crack! Eddie is a little shit in this one, but you're a bit of an antagonist too.
⚠️ Warnings: Swearing, mentions of blood and weapons, eating expired peanut butter, sexual references ⚠️
"So uh, the Upside Down is a real place. I thought you guys were talking in D&D terms." Eddie says, stuffing his hands into the front pockets of his jeans. With the way that the eerie glow of the other dimension fell on the two boys, Eddie's Hellfire Club Tshirt looked brighter than ever. Besides from the strangeness of the newfound place, it was all he could focus on as the group walked towards Nancy's house- for what, he didn't know. The infamous Steve (The Hair) Harrington was walking directly next to him and Eddie thought he looked ridiculous wearing nothing but his denim jacket and bandages. Laughing to himself, he let his gaze wander over to where you were.
You and Eddie had been friends for a while, but this stupid Harrington guy always got in the way seeing as you two were together. Eddie had wished he knew you before all this craziness so that he might've had the chance to sweep you off your feet instead of killing Demobats. You were wearing black ripped jeans and a David Bowie shirt which was slightly too large for you and hung loosely at your sides- Eddie was sure it was Steve's but he wasn't going to bring it up. Your hair was pulled back into a ponytail and your shoes were triple knotted with their florescent laces. You were beautiful, and this fake snow/ash shit that fell around everywhere definitely added to your beauty. He would've continued staring if it wasn't for Steve interrupting his thoughts.
"Yeah, I've never played that Dungeons and Dragons game before, but all the kids like to make up names for this dimension using their preexisting ones." Steve said, unaware that Eddie was currently eyeing up his girlfriend. He pushed his hair back with his hand and Eddie saw a glistening stream of blood running down the top of his forehead.
"Uh, Steve dude, you've got some blood up there." Eddie motions with his finger as to where it is and Steve wipes it off with the back of his hand.
"Thanks, guess those bats did give me more trouble than I originally thought." He said, taking off Eddie's jacket. "Thank you for this, but I really don't want to get blood on it."
He hands the jacket back to Eddie and Eddie takes it with an unsure expression. He just wanted to be deemed worthy of Steve's time.
"Hey, I think we made it." You said, walking up to the two boys and immediately going to stand by Steve's side and assess the wounds he had. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm okay." Steve said and you watched more blood run down his forehead, giving him a look which read "Are you fucking stupid?"
"He's lying to you, (Y/N). I saw him stumble over a tree root a little ways back, I'm sure he's getting over the embarrassment of tripping." Eddie smiled and you laughed at his antics.
"Of course he did, he's clumsy as hell." You replied and winked in Eddie's direction. He felt his heart grow ten times bigger at the cute smile you sent him with it.
Walking on towards Nancy's house, Robin struggles with the doorknob and tries to get in to no avail. The lock was stuck in an odd place and no matter how many tries from the group, it wouldn't open.
"Allow me," you said, heading for the living room window and breaking the glass, "It's not your real house so it's fine."
Steve finally caught onto Eddie's staring as you contemplated the best way to slip into the room. He hit Eddie on the shoulder with a scowl and grabbed the denim jacket out of his hands. "Here," he said, putting the article of clothing on the windowsill, "This'll make it so that you don't get cut on the glass."
"Are you sure it's okay that I use this, Eddie?" You asked, completely unaware of the tension between the two. Smiling cockily at Steve, Eddie turned to you and put his hand on his chest.
"Of course that's fine, sweetheart."
Steve felt like the veins in his arms were going to pop.
"Thanks!" You said, slipping into the living room and opening the front door from the inside to allow everyone else in. The darkness consumed the entirety of the abandoned hallways that were familiar to you. Running your fingers over the wallpaper, you remembered all the nights you spent over at Nancy's hanging out with her and watching the latest VHS tapes. Smiling fondly at the memory, you move on into her bedroom following Nancy herself, and have a look around at the posters hanging up. It might've been the Upside Down, but there was the Tom Cruise poster clear as day. You didn't understand the appeal, but hey- maybe the Demogorgons liked him.
Nancy strode over to the closet and frantically searched around for the box that would contain the guns she had for self-defense. Why she had bought them, you didn't know. You picked up the diary from the bedside table and opened up to the latest entry. 1983. The year Barb went missing.
"Where the fuck did they go?" Nancy sighs with frustration as she digs through everything in her closet.
"Maybe the Demogorgons took them?" You offer the ridiculous suggestion to no one in particular and laugh at your own joke.
"Real funny (Y/N)." Nancy says, clearly still upset about not finding them.
"No, no. I think she might be onto something." Eddie says with an antagonizing grin, looking you directly in the face. You stare at Steve with a confused look now noticing what Eddie was up to, but your boyfriend was looking down at his shoes with his mouth pressed into a hard line. He was pissed.
You throw the book over to Nancy, who looks at you with confusion. "What's this?" She asks.
"Your diary. Look at the date."
"You were looking at her diary?" Robin pipes up from the hallway with her head just barely visible around the corner. You rolled your eyes with a smile.
"September. 1983." Nancy read aloud and you watched the realization dawn on her. "I haven't bought the guns yet. That's why they're not here."
"Bingo." You said, laying back on her bed and staring up at her ceiling. Because of this, you didn't notice that Steve and Eddie had walked out of the room.
Turning the corner into the kitchen, Steve leans back against the countertop which was covered in the mysterious vines that adorned the rest of the Upside Down. He glared at Eddie who had joined him and felt the anger rushing back to him. However, he decided it would be best for everyone if he stayed calm.
"What was that?" He asked, putting his hands on his hips.
"What was what?" Eddie asked, rummaging through the cupboards and finding a jar of peanut butter.
"You know what I'm talking about." Steve said, handing Eddie a spoon from the drawer behind him.
"Thanks." He replied and opened up the jar, still staring at Steve.
A couple of moments pass while Eddie eats his snack and Steve waits for him to answer. The punk rocker's hair was strewn all over the place and his shirt was covered in the stains from both the lake and the other dimension. Well, at least he had a shirt.
"Why are you trying to seduce my girlfriend?" Steve asked, grabbing a spoon of his own and sharing the peanut butter with Eddie.
"1983 peanut butter. Seasoned with the sky shit from the Upside Down." Eddie said.
"Can you just answer the question?"
"Oh uh. Because she's hot I guess." He says, moving towards the cabinet again to try and find another snack. Stopping him by placing a hand around his arm, Steve gave him the death glare.
"I respect you, dude. I really do. But (Y/N) isn't available."
"What are you guys talking about?" You came out from Nancy's room with the diary under your arm and your hair down now. You looked tired and worn out from all this Scooby-Doo investigating that both boys felt bad for leaving you to do the work while they had their petty argument.
"Steve was telling me to stop flirting with you." Eddie put point-blank and held out the jar for you. You walked over to him and dipped your finger in taking a little taste of it before deciding it was safe to eat.
"This shit has to be expired." You said, grabbing the spoon from Steve and popping more of the delicious cream into your mouth.
"It most definitely is." Eddie said.
"So uh, the fact that Eddie is flirting with you doesn't bother you at all?" Steve asked you with concern.
"Nah, it just makes you all angry and flustered and I think a jealous Steve is a hot Steve."
Steve found himself grow extremely hot when you said that, the blush on his face overpowering any other expression. He was nervous that you were secretly liking Eddie's antics but to find out that it was just to get a rise out of him, made him feel things he probably shouldn't describe with the third party in the room.
"Pants getting tight, bud?" Eddie asked with a knowing glance and Steve hurried to place his hands on his jeans to conceal anything that he didn't want showing. You were smiling and staring him up and down.
"I gotta hand it to you, (Y/N). Steve is sexy as hell."
"That's just your bisexuality talking." You said to Eddie with a knowing glance. He laughed and now started to check out your boyfriend.
"If you ever need a third party, you know who to ask." Eddie said, exchanging a fist bump with you.
"Absolutely not." Steve said, taking your hand with the spoon still attached outside of the Wheelers house.

Steve Harrington
It had been another day working with you and Robin at the video store that was like every other: you would finish shelving the vhs tapes, Robin would work the cash register, and Steve would do anything else (and flirt with the lady customers)
You had just finished putting away the new movie "The Breakfast Club," when all of a sudden Steve had grabbed your wrist and turned you to face him.
Wild eyed with red cheeks, Harrington was truly a sight to be seen as he frantically searched around in his pants pocket, for what you didn't know.
"What's wrong, Steve?" You asked, noticing his manic state.
"Does my hair look okay?" He asks, patting down the sides of his head and then deciding to ruffle it back up again. His eyes kept darting to the back of the store towards the romance movies and that's when you saw her: Laura. Guys fawned over her all the time and were desperate for her attention, I guess it didn't surprise you that Steve felt the same.
Fixing his parting by running your fingers through his hair, Steve had a starting realization.
He was horribly infatuated with this.
Laura suddenly became a topic of the past as he watched you work his hair into the right shape, stepping back and eyeing your work.
"It looks good now, go get her!" You encouraged and went back to finishing your task.
Needless to say, Steve walked back to the front counter and confided in Robin about how this was the beginning of something between the two of you.
Billy Hargrove
Billy wasn't the most in tune with his emotions and how he felt about you, but he knew that there was something in him that wanted to be around you all the time and that searched desperately for your approval.
Sitting in his car on the way to school, he had offered to drive you just like everyday and Bon Jovi played on the speakers, also as usual.
You had been intently staring out the window watching the town of Hawkins pass as the two of you made your way to the school; fingers drumming against your notebook that you had brought from home.
"Are those the math notes from yesterday?" He asks you, voice gruff but still soothing. You were the only person he treated with such respect and there was something about that exclusivity that made you fall for him even harder. You just wish it was mutual.
"Uh yeah, they are." You said, shifting in your seat. They most definitely were not the math notes but rather your diary which included all about how you felt towards your friend. You were bringing it to school to photocopy some of the drawings you had doodled in the back of it.
"May I borrow them? I'm totally failing Mrs. Hampton's class." He threw out a smile and held out one of his hands to collect the book in question, the other hand on the steering wheel.
"You should be looking at the road silly. But yes, you can borrow them." You said, handing over the book. You were terrified to say the least, but this might be your only chance of properly communicating how you felt.
"Thanks." He said and put the book under his thigh as the ride continued. Once you approached the school, you got out of the car and smiled at Billy. "Love ya." You said, a normal phrase among the two of you.
"Love ya too." He says, immediately starting to go back to the gruff and tough Billy that the rest of Hawkins High was used to. It was cute.
Once you had gone, Billy remembered that he conveniently had a math test on this specific Tuesday morning, so he decides to open your notebook and study as he walked down the hall.
Let's just say, he was glad to know that you felt the same way as him; pining after you for so long, it was nice for him to find out that getting you to be his would be easier than he thought.
Eddie Munson
You had met him at an odd store of sorts, one that specialized in board games and such. You had collected a Ouija board for your own pleasure later and that's when you noticed a giant mass of fluffy hair stationed below the counter looking through the Dungeons and Dragons dice.
"Hey," you said, startling the man on the floor, "Is this where I'm supposed to pay?"
Jumping up from the counter with his shirt acting as a bowl full of ten and twelve sided dice of all different colors, the man was just slightly taller than you with a bagel in his mouth. Dropping the dice onto the counter, he took the bagel out and smiled. "Yes! That's what I work here for!"
Giggling, you set the board down on the counter and watch the mysterious guy ring you up. "You're buying a Ouija board to play with friends?" He asks, trying to start conversation. He might've thought he was being discreet about it, but the pink blush dusting his cheeks gave him away.
"Not really, I was gonna play by myself since everyone was busy." You said, smiling at him.
He would've gotten down on one knee and popped the question right there with that response.
"That's so badass." He said, rubbing the bagel seeds onto his white shirt labeled "The Hellfire Club."
"Why thank you. You know, if you're not busy you could join me sometime. I have a couple of beers at my place." You state with a matter-of-fact tone.
"Underage drinking? Totally in." He says, giving you the heart eyes and handing you your receipt.
"Great. When do you get off of work?"
"9:00" he sighs, looking at the clock which read 5:00pm. Looked like he wasn't getting to spend time with you soon.
"What if we just pop it open and play in here?" You offer, throwing your purse on the counter and hopping over it, taking a bite of his bagel.
Eddie Munson asked you out that very day.

⚠️ Warnings: Language, drug use ⚠️
The sun was unnecessarily hot today as you dragged your feet along the sidewalk; you were quite a ways away from home. The heat blaring down on your bare shoulders signified you that you were going to be burnt by the end of the day. The sidewalk hurt your feet and your shorts felt especially sticky as you continued towards the open road; your cherry lollipop that you picked up at the convenience store on your little adventure stuck to the roof of your mouth. This summer was brutal.
You passed a couple of signs along the way that were covered with graffiti and dirt. This was Hollywood- home of the stars. Maybe you'd have appreciated it more if it wasn't so grimy. The spots that were uninhabited by celebrities and were filled with the normal working citizens of America were less scenic.
"Hey!" A voice could be heard from behind you and instantly you identified it to be one of the girls from Spahn Ranch. A brunette with large eyes and a tooth gap started making her way towards you with a large jar of pickles under her right arm. Eating one of them herself, she practically throws herself onto you with a smile and a shirt stained with pickle juice.
"Hi." You said, only because you didn't want to be rude. You weren't really a fan of Pussy (the girl, not the thing itself) since she was always a bit more spontaneous and over-the-top than you preferred in a person. She was sweet, just a bit too...
You would've finished that thought, but a pickle was suddenly stuffed into your mouth.
"You like? Stole em' from that place up in town." She said, crunching on another one.
You coughed and took it out of your mouth. "Pussy, I have a sucker."
She laughed with her tongue hanging out the side of her mouth and made a similar noise to a hissing cat. Her hair was frizzy now that she had been under the sun and her rainbow top was tied incorrectly behind her neck. These small little things about her made her redeemable in a way.
You smiled. "It's okay, you wacko. Yes, the pickles are good, you should try them with a cherry sucker in the back of your throat too."
She giggled and ran towards the bench just a little ways away from where you were walking. You ditched the candy on the ground and continued to eat the cucumber that was forced into your face. The colorful billboards around you were blinding but extravagant, and you didn't know what sight was more interesting; the colors of the advertisements or Pussy sticking her thumb out at the speeding cars nearby as she drank from the jar. "Asshole!" She screamed at the car that threatened to stop, but made a quick turn and drove off in the other direction.
After what seemed like twenty minutes of sitting with Pussy, a yellow car drove up by the sidewalk and stopped in its tracks. You couldn't really see whoever was behind the wheel, but Pussy looked ecstatic.
"It's Mr. Hawaii!!" She said, and pulled your arm up to the vehicle, forcing you and the stranger to come face to face. He was quite a bit older and very handsome, and he had a nice tan that followed all the way down to the hem of his shirt. Meaning: he was tanned everywhere. And boy, did that leave a nice first impression. Longer hair and sunglasses framed his face as he lifted the lenses above his eyes and rested them on his head. A bright yellow Hawaiian shirt adorned his figure and a cigarette was stuck between his teeth, unlit. To say this guy wasn't the most handsome man you've seen would be a complete and total lie.
"Uh, hey." You said, giving a curt wave. You took notice of how he smiled at you; it was full of warmth and invitation. You blushed, feeling your entire body go hot the moment he flashed his brilliant teeth in your direction.
"Well, hello there," He nodded and then looked at Pussy, "You need a ride?"
Pussy must've noticed how enthralled you were by Mr. Hawaii already, so she nudged you in the direction of the passenger side window and grinned as she saw your cheeks flush once more. "Nope, but they do!"
You mentally cursed the girl but also thanked her because goddamn you really wanted to get in the car with this guy.
"Well alrighty then. Hop in?" He finally lit the cigarette and rested his elbow out the window, looking completely and utterly relaxed. He was so laid back that it almost scared you, wondering if he had any ulterior motives for his car ride. But then again, Pussy wouldn't have introduced you with such excitement if she didn't trust the guy.
You nodded in response and opened the car door, giving Pussy a look saying 'Thank you,' as you sat down. The car radio was playing "Bring A Little Lovin'" by Los Bravos and the familiarity of the popular song put any nerves you had to ease. She shut the door behind you from the outside and grinned, picking up another pickle out of the jar and popping it into her mouth. You were about to say something to her through the open window, but Mr. Hawaii was already speeding away and Pussy had busied herself in flipping someone off from the other side of the street.
It had only been two minutes before the man tried to start a conversation, looking back and forth from you to the mirror. "So, how you know Pussy?" He said with a slight southern accent, something you didn't pick up the first time you'd heard him.
"She's just another hippie from Spahn." You said, looking out at the buildings you passed by. Mr. Hawaii drove pretty carelessly.
"Ah." He said, turning his eyes back to the road. Your eyes caught his hand on the stick shift and a bunch of interesting thoughts ran through your head. You knew you probably shouldn't be fancying him in the way you were, but you couldn't help yourself. "Somethin the matter?"
Oh shit. He had caught you staring.
"Oh nothing! Just looking around your nice car." You said, trying to cover up the fact that you were checking him out. He seemed to accept your answer, but you knew deep down that he was aware of your antics. With that sky smile of his and the cigarette between his lips, you knew you were done for the minute you set foot in the vehicle.
Another moment of silence passes as he continues to drive every which way, effortlessly rounding corners and driving through red lights earning a couple of honks and beeps from other cars. Ironically, you felt totally safe.
"So where'ya heading?" He shook his head, letting the glasses fall down into his face and moving his hair in every which way.
"I'm not really in a rush to get anywhere," you said, now anxious that because you didn't have a set destination that you were wasting his time, "You can drop me off here if you have somewhere to be."
He looked at the watch on his wrist and grinned. "Nah, we can keep goin'," he replied.
You played with the hem of your shirt as you stared awkwardly at your outfit. What to do now? It was probably your turn to start the conversation since he had broken the silence the past two times, yet you didn't know what to say. Luckily for you, he speaks again.
"So," he begins, his little western accent kicking in slightly as he speaks. His mouth was drawn into a smile and he leaned over in the seat, staring at you once the two of you reached a red light. "I know a really great ice cream shop a little ways down from here. We could go if you wanted."
"Sure!" You said, hoping it didn't sound too enthusiastic.
...
The car ride wasn't as silent anymore once you had made it to the shoppe. Picking out a strawberry ice cream while your driver licked away at a blueberry one, you held in your astonishment with the beautiful man before you. Sure, Pussy had forced pickles into your mouth and had annoyed you before but goddamn you were thankful that she introduced you to a specimen as fine as Mr. Hawaii.
"That reminds me," you begin, taking another lick of the sweet goodness, "What's your name?"
"Well, what's yours?" He flashes you that brilliant smile once more.
"(Y/N)." You say while watching his body language. Leaning into the table, he gets slightly closer to you and before you know it, he has a hand by your mouth wiping away the straw strawberry.
"I like (Y/N)." He says, laughing as you get all hot and flustered. "My name's Cliff. Cliff Booth."
You realize that you vaguely remember that name from somewhere, although you can't place a finger on it. Mentally shrugging, you see Cliff go for another bite of his ice cream but fail as he ends up with a glob of it on his nose. Just as he's about to wipe it off, you reach out your hand and do it for him. "Allow me, you helped me out the last time." Grinning, you see his cheeks turn a slight red.
"(Y/N), I'm not usually this blunt but uh...you said you weren't in a rush to get anywhere right?"
Wondering where he was possibly going with this, you nod your head in agreement and give him a quizzical expression.
"Well do you want to make out in my car?"
Nearly choking, you stare at him with wide eyes. There's no way someone as handsome and charismatic as him wanted to make out with you. Especially when you first met via hitchhiking. But something told you this was too good of an opportunity to pass up seeing how eager the two of you seemed. You weren't going to let the insecurities get in the way of this one.
"Uh... Yes?" You said with as much enthusiasm as you could muster in the moment, still being somewhat disconnected that this was the reality that you were living in. He takes your hand and leads you back to the vehicle you would always associate with him after this moment and you both ditch what was left of your ice creams in the nearest trash can. Time seemed to slow as you opened up the door on the passenger side and close it, watching as Cliff gets in the driver's seat. He puts a hand along your jaw, leaning you closer to him as he moves his hand to rest along your thigh.
"Are you sure this is okay?" He asks you, noting not only your physical and emotional well-being but also remembering the slightly less average than normal age gap between you.
"Yes, absolutely."
That was all he needed before he leaned in, placing his lips on yours and holding you pressed against his face. He was soft and kind and added very little pressure as he started to loosen up around you and the tight space the car had to offer. It filled you with claustrophobia but the good kind as it felt there was a closeness you wouldn't have been able to reach anywhere else.
"You taste like strawberries and pickles." He says, pulling away from you just to rest his forehead against yours after a while. Sharp deep breaths were heard all throughout the space as you tried to catch your breath, your face a giant smile and your heart a billion butterflies trying to escape your chest all at once. This was where you felt the most at home.
"Well you taste like blueberries and cigarettes, which happens to be my new favorite taste in the world." You say, leaning in for more affection from the stranger but not stranger before you.

(A/N): I hope this is okay! Again, I'm so so sorry that it took me this long to finish your beautiful fanfiction request but I honestly loved writing every part of this short story.
With love, Panko Shrimp 💛 🦐
I've been in somewhat of a slump lately and I haven't been doing the best mentally. As of late, my days have consisted of naps, serial killer documentaries, and college.
This leads me to my request: would anyone mind tagging me or sending me some fanfiction that they've enjoyed? It can be anyone or anything, but seeing some of the things you guys are interested in might help me with my own writing! I also need a tad bit more happiness in the upcoming days so this would be a serious motivator.
You guys mean the absolute world to me and I hope you're having the bestest day/night wherever you are. Keep being beautiful and handsome and attractive and wonderful humans.

"Can We Enjoy Our Nuggets Without the Threat of Death in the Background?"
Kang Taehyun X Reader
⚠️ Warnings: swearing, mentions of gore, play fighting, death of chicken dinosaurs ⚠️
Hope you enjoy this babe, I made it with love 💛
The dino nuggets in the back of the freezer taunted you from afar. The familiar green and yellow colors of the rectangular box called out to you in a way that was reminiscent of a child wanting formula. This was a need, not a want. This wasn't just a desire, it was addiction.
Pushing aside the other contents of the chilled box, you reach and reach and reach in an attempt to grab the delicious looking dinosaurs with their faces graphically printed on their nugget bodies. Your fingers just barely graze the box when suddenly you are violently shoved aside and your body makes contact with the tile of the kitchen.
"Taehyun, what the literal fuck." You exclaim, more pissed off than anything else. You were so close you could taste the wonderful exquisiteness of the ketchup colliding with the Jurassic treats.
"I saw you." He says, sauntering over to you wearing nothing but galaxy printed boxers and a Ramones T-shirt that was too big for his midsection. "You were trying to cook the nuggets without me."
The statement was true. They had been Taehyun's treats that he picked up from the grocery store the night before; his eyes bright and wild and hair wet from running in the rain, all in an attempt to buy a bottle of champagne but instead found the dinosaurs. He planted them directly on the kitchen counter and looked you dead in the eyes. "If you touch these," he said, waving the box of goodies in the air, "I will jump off the roof faster than the pig with wings in the baked beans commercial."
Cut to him finding you guilty, caught red-handed.
"I would never do such a thing." You looked back at the counter and he stepped in front of the box, concealing the happy little dinosaurs from your view. This made you angry and you prepared yourself for a fist fight. This was the modern day Hunger Games and you would be Katniss Everdeen shooting Taehyun with your arrows, watching as he cried while you ate them. This was your world and he was just living in it. He had to be reminded.
Lunging for his side of the counter, you wrap your arms around his torso and squeeze as hard as you can while reaching for the dinos. Stepping on both of his feet, you feel the coolness of the box graze your fingertips once more before you're thrown back onto the floor with him on top of you, wrestling you down so that you can't have them. "I told you, they're mine!" He says, tickling your sides until you "give up" and call a truce. Getting off of you, he makes his way back to his spot but you manage to jump and tackle him from behind, grabbing the box out of his hands and triumphantly holding them above your head. He sinks to his knees.
"(Y/N). Please please please let me have them. I need them. I really truly do."
You thought for a moment before a lightbulb turned on in your head. "Alright," you said, teasing him with the dinos, "I'll allow you to share them with me on one condition."
Perking up, Taehyun wipes his fake tears with his hands and looks up at you will wide eyes. "What?! I'll do anything!"
You smiled. "You have to watch a scary movie with me."
Taehyun screams and jumps up off the floor and onto the counter on all fours, staring at you as though you just shot a puppy. Pulling on his hair with his hands, he looks like a maniac. "No no no no no you know I hate scary movies." He says in between harsh gasps and fake sobs.
You pull out a plate with a duck on it and start to evenly space the frozen foods, putting them into the microwave and letting them cook. Taehyun is still on the counter and eyeing you as though you're a supervillain. Watching him to make sure he doesn't try anything funny, you wait until you hear the beep of the machine signalling that your food was done. Taking it out and watching the nuggets steam was like watching the most beautiful waterfall. Dino nuggets most definitely had to be one of the seven wonders of the world, you were sure.
Handing Taehyun one nugget, you watch him scarf the entire thing down hot without ketchup. "I want more." He says, holding out his hand expecting you to place another nugget in his palm.
"Ah ah ah," you say, guarding the unsuspecting dinos with your life, "Scary movie. Remember?"
....
Looking through your collection of horror movies in your fancy glass cabinet, you search for one that Tae would never agree to watching unless it was for food. You had the basics, The Conjuring, The Shining, Sinister, but nothing was standing out to you in particular. Your boyfriend would find every single one of them absolutely terrifying, but you wanted to find one that would really get under his skin.
And what better movie to get under the skin than Saw?
Taehyun slowly walked into the living room, blanket already wrapped around his entire body and head. Only his eyes were seen through the heavy duty sheets and they looked horrified. A singular lock of hair peeked out from said blanket and swayed with the wind when your boyfriend sat down on the soft cushions of the couch. His eyebrows were furrowed as he pouted, probably due to the fact that you had forced him into this if he wanted to savor his dino nuggets.
"Okay Tae Tae," you said, placing the disc into the DVD player and watching it load on the screen, "You're gonna hate this." Smiling, you plop down on the couch next to him and move in so that you share the warmth of his blanket. He wraps it around you and huddles against you in fear as he prepared himself for the movie you put on.
"Saw? Really?"
"Shhh just enjoy it."
A couple of moments pass before you decide to look up at Taehyun who was staring at the screen with the same intensity as when you had first stolen his nuggets. His mouth was slightly agape and his lips were turned downwards in pure horror. However, the only part of the movie that he had seen so far was the opening credits.
"Tae?" You ask, trying to get his attention. "Tae?"
His head turns to meet your gaze and his expression of pure terror never leaves his face. "What?"
"Are you okay?"
He gulps and watches the opening of the first scene before he passes out. His head hits the back of the couch and on impact, a burst of red flies from his head behind him onto the wall. Screaming, you throw back the blanket and watch in horror as your boyfriend's blood dripped from the wall where it had hit.
"Taehyun!" You screamed again, not knowing what to do. Just then, he lifted his head up with a grin on his face. He no longer seemed scared but instead triumphant as he reached for a dino nugget and dipped it in the blood by his head.
"It's ketchup. Payback from earlier." He says, lifting up his nugget like a chalice of the finest wine as if to propose a toast to your losing and eats it. Meanwhile, you were still freaking out in the corner.
"You are such an asshole." You glare at him with the most hateful expression you could muster.
He shrugged his shoulders and took another nugget off the plate, dipping it into the ketchup once more, only this time he used what had spurt out onto the wall. "You may have won the battle but you didn't win the war, (Y/N)."
Sighing, you go to sit back next to him on the couch. "Touche." You snuggle back up into him and the two of you continue to watch the movie in peace. Taehyun leans in for a kiss and smiles at you.
"I'm sorry, that was mean." He looks at you with all the love in his heart and you instantly forgive him. You just want to put him in his place again.
"Yeah almost as mean as this." You say, popping the last flavorful dinosaur into your mouth and swallowing it.
"NOOOOOOOO!"
"You may have won the battle, but you didn't win the war Taehyun." You say, laughing at his outburst.

♡ Soobin ♡
You had decided that your first date with Soobin should be in an aquarium setting, since blue was his favorite color and fish were your favorite animal. It would be cute to see him dress up and to watch the fish from all angles in a calm and serene way.
You had worn your favorite sweater and shirt which read "D.I.L.F 'Damn, I Love Fishing," which you thought was appropriate for the occasion.
"Hey (Y/N)!" Soobin said front where you were standing at the entrance holding a map in his hands, "They have a shark exhibit because of that new 'Killer Titanium War Sharks' movie!"
"Oh that's so cool! I hope we get to see some of them!"
Walking around the venue, you notice a couple fish that catch your eye, they're green with bright orange bellies and mean faces.
"Oooh Soobin! Soobin! These ones are so pretty!" You exclaim and Soobin's heart just melts because of how excited you got.
"(Y/N), those are piranhas. 🥹"
Soobin then grabs your hand and heads for the stingrays, which you would be able to pet according to the tour guide lady.
Anxiously waiting your turn, you finally step up to the open area and pet the stingray closest to you, while Soobin messes with a starfish on the opposite side. He looked so cute like that, his hair in his eyes and an adoring smile on his face. You were so entranced by his features that you weren't paying attention to the dangerous animal in the water and something very peculiar happened. You got stung.
You immediately felt a sharp jolt run through your entire body and noticed the welt on your wrist starting to form as the pain increased. You sent Soobin a look that told him everything and he was rushing to your side to see what had happened the moment a tear slipped down your cheek. "Ow." Was all you said before you blacked out in Soobin's arms.
"Hey, How are you feeling?" Soobin asked you from the chair on the right side of your bed. You had groggily opened up your eyes and noticed you were in a white room which was quite the contrast from the blue of the aquarium. You were still wearing your clothes from earlier, but now you had a cast as an added accessory.
"What happened?"
"You got stung by a stingray and instead of screaming like a normal person you just passed out instead." Soobin filled you in with a pained smile.
"I'm not a lil bitch. I wouldn't cry about it." You said, shrugging and turning on the ER TV. Soobin moved up on the bed with you and told you to scootch over so that he could snuggle you.
The rest of your date was spent in the hospital bed, but it was still fun nonetheless. And you got free snacks!
♡ Yeonjun ♡
He had absolutely no plan in mind when he had asked you out on a date; the only thing he knew was that he wanted to see you somewhere outside of the workplace so he could try and romance you like he wanted.
This boy had been head over heels for you for months. Slipping notes into your cubicle, talking to you from his desk on the other side, offering to carry your things, and holding the elevator door for you whenever he rode.
It was just another day when all of a sudden the cheesy love notes turned into an actual plan: "Pick you up later tonight?"
Which you had agreed to, of course.
This is how you found yourself waiting outside on the boardwalk, wondering what exactly your co-worker had in mind. You were wearing your favorite outfit and the new Versace perfume you had picked up earlier that week. You were worried that Yeonjun might've thought it was too casual until you saw him walking towards you.
You thought your eyes had deceived you into thinking the angel before you was Yeonjun. His hair was wind blown and messy but in the cute boyish way and his perfect lips were wearing a light gloss. His bright yellow button up had been opened revealing a Kate Bush t-shirt. His denim jeans and converse added to the comfortable yet outrageous gorgeousness of the man before you.
"Hey, you look nice." He said, and you felt your heart flutter in your chest. "Thanks, you too."
Walking further along the boardwalk, Yeonjun slips his left hand in yours and makes his way towards the carnival games. Noticing how your eyes glance over at a large puppy stuffed animal for a fraction of a second longer than the rest of them, he insists he plays the water gun game to win it for you.
Laughing along with him, you join a group of two other people as the operator readies your water guns. Winking at you, Yeonjun holds his gun with two hands and aims it at the target.
"Hey, did you see the massive churro that the guy behind us has?" You ask, grinning.
"What? Where?" Yeonjun swivels around in his seat just as the bells go off signaling the beginning of the game.
Maniacally laughing, you aim your gun at the target and watch as the water moves the bar up towards the top of the booth, meaning that you were winning. Yeonjun finally came to his senses and tried to beat you but to no avail. You had gotten the big prize: the giant puppy stuffed animal.
Handing it to your date, you give him a kiss on the cheek and say "better luck next time."
"You cheated!" He said, but smiled as he buried his face into the soft fur.
Needless to say, the rest of the night was spent on the ferris wheel in a heated makeout session while the puppy waited at the tables below.
♡ Beomgyu ♡
"This movie is supposedly so scary that the first people to watch it died after throwing up when the gore scenes came on!" You said excitedly as you held your boyfriend's hand leading him in the direction of the cinema. You had been talking about the new movie, "Killer Titanium War Sharks" for weeks in anticipation for it to finally hit the theaters. Your calendar in your shared apartment with Beomgyu held the official date in which you would be taking him to see it; something Beomgyu had been secretly hoping you would forget about. Truth be told: he had been terrified of it ever since he saw the trailer on YouTube.
"Wow.... Great....." He mumbled as you sat down in the velvet upholstered seats of the theater. The only reason he had agreed to come see it with you as a date was because you had agreed to purchase him the Sno-Caps chocolate bites and the pineapple gummi bears that he liked to combine into mini sandwiches.
You moved a strand of his long hair behind his ear and stared at him in the eyes. "Beomgyu," you started, making sure that you had his full attention, "If you get scared you had to suck it up and deal with it. No bathroom breaks. We're watching it all the way through." Gulping, he nods his head and trembles in his seat as you watch the beginning credits roll onto the screen.
"(Y/N)."
It had been a little ways past the middle of the movie and Beomgyu had his hand on yours, gripping it as though it would fall off. He had been eating a crap ton of gummi bears and Sno-Caps and for a moment you thought he was going to offer you one. In a way, he did.
"What's up?" You ask.
"I don't feel so good-"
Barfing all over you, Beomgyu manages not to get any on himself as he watches the sugary sweets end up on your favorite cardigan. When he was done, he delicately patted his lips and smiled anxiously as he watched you take in what just happened.
Instead of yelling at him like he had thought, you laughed. "Beomgyu, that's so gross!" You said in between hearty chuckles. Laughing along with you, you both leave the theater hand in hand, not finishing the movie you had been so excited about.
"I'm sorry I made it so that we couldn't finish the movie." Your boyfriend said with genuine concern.
"Are you kidding?! That was 100 times better than any ending I could've gotten from "Killer Titanium War Sharks!"
♡ Taehyun ♡
You had first noticed him in the library, drinking a splendid Arabic blend of coffee with Kafka open in his lap, twiddling with his hoodie strings with a contemplative stare. You were sure that cupid had struck you with his arrow just then; he looked up at you from what he was reading upon hearing your entrance with the bell atop the book shoppe door.
This had been a habit of his, to show up at the same shoppe as you so that he could see what it was you were reading that week. Today, you had another Junji Ito manga stashed away in your arms and an excited smile on your face. He didn't understand what was happening until you had made your way to his usual spot.
"H-h-hello." He said, trying not to sound awkward but failing tremendously.
"Hey," you said, moving to sit down next to him, "I see you here often?"
It was an observation you made yet you still phrased it as a question, unsure if you were bothering the beautiful boy in front of you. To your surprise, he seemed ecstatic.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" He asked very chipper.
"I was just wondering....would you maybe.....it's totally okay if you don't want to....go out for coffee sometime?" You squinted your eyes in a slight grimace at how awkward your questions sounded and to make matters worse, you threw up finger guns.
Taehyun practically giggled and moved a chair closer to his so that you had the opportunity to sit down and talk to him. "Why, I would love that." He said, or at least he thought so. It came out more like "y-y-yes please yeah that sounds wonderful."
You inch closer to his spot and look at his book title. "Metamorphosis? Nice." You throw up another finger gun and you wanted to dissolve into the linoleum tiles right then and there.
"And I see you're reading my favorite Ito! No Longer Human!" He smiles and sends you the same hand gesture back.
Eventually, you guys pack up your things and head to the nearest coffee place in town: "The Mind Grind." This was where Taehyun had gotten his coffee earlier
He orders a vanilla latte and you order a black iced coffee with two espresso shots. Needless to say, he looked at you as though you were crazy but was most definitely intrigued by your order.
After a long conversation about reading material, you hand him your number scribbled on a napkin and offer the idea of "we should do this again sometime."
Taehyun thought about you the entire time he drove home.
♡ Hueningkai ♡
If this boy agreed to go on a date with you, you knew you had to make it an activity of sorts so that he wouldn't fall asleep or complain about the boringness of art museums or how lame the documentary you went to see was.
Your last date being roller skating, you knew that you were never going to put Kai in skates again as he had run into the wall numerous times and had fallen on top of you when leaning for support. You both ended up in so many unwanted bruises and cuts that you spent the entire next day in bed; an ice pack on Kai's neck and one on your knee.
This time you figured you would be able to find some form of interest in laser tag.
And oh boy was that an idea.
Hueningkai was so chipper and excited about it that he blasted ATEEZ in the car all the way there and talked about how fun it would be to shoot the other players with you by his side as his right hand man. However, when you arrived at the arena, it became very clear that you both were on opposing sides.
"(Y/N).... What'll I do over there without you? 🥲" *Pure fear*
"Fucking suffer under the wrath of my laser tag skills 😈" *Pure adrenaline*
Hiding behind one of the safety zones, you push forward towards the enemy base, keeping a watchful eye out for your 6'1 boyfriend. He would have a hard time hiding you would think since he was so tall, but something told you he'd be just fine.
Shooting a couple other players, you run towards the base and ready yourself to grab the flag. The concept of the game was basically capture the flag but with cool guns that went pew pew. You saw someone guarding it and shot them from afar, closing in on the target. The flag was in your hands and you were about to make a break for it when-
Two arms wrap around your chest, causing you to drop your winnings. You were then shoved into a wall and Kai held you there in place as he looked you up and down. "Trying to win, I see?" He asked, keeping in character of the game. It was both cute and annoying because you were both so competitive.
"Accept defeat." You said, trying to twist out of his grasp and make your way to the flag on the floor. Tacking you, the two of you fight each other for it and crash into a couple walls in the process. Lifting the flag above your head, you grin in triumph, flexing over the fact that you had beat Kai in a fist fight.
"(Y/N). Uh. Are you okay?"
"Huh?"
"Your nose is bleeding everywhere."
Low and behold, there was a steady trickle of red dropping from your nose all over your shirt and shorts. Sighing, you stick the flag in your pocket and Kai takes it from you while you're preoccupied with the blood.
"KAI YOU MOTHER FUCKER."
He leans in for a kiss and ends up getting blood smeared on his face. "I win."
He shot you in the chest and the lights turned on, meaning that the game was over and he had, in fact, won.

28.) I wish I was better at portraying myself as a human. I get into my complexes where I think everyone is a randomly automated bot and I'm living in a simulation, so I tend not to trust easily. (This is also a lie, if I had to be better at anything it would probably be lying)
29.) I spend a lot of time centering myself around Kpop. I mean like four hours a day. Whether it's looking at pictures, watching music videos, listening to it, putting on Chan's lives in the background to keep me sane, it's an all day sort of thing.
30.) I thought it already asked me about hobbies, but I'll pretend it says "What type of Hobbits do you have" so that I can say I keep a little Frodo Baggins in my back pocket.

SEO MOON-JO X READER
When the world falls apart, you have him by your side, loving and caring for you every step of the way. Accidentally stumbling upon his most sinful line of work, you wonder how much you really know about the dentist you fell in love with.
The cold and dreary night sky looked overhead and the moon cast a shimmery glow onto the pavement in front of Eden Residence. The flowerbeds that seemed to be teeming with life at one point in time were now filled with weeds and miscellaneous cans and bottles. The sidewalk was perfect on the way up to the residence, however as soon as you stepped foot in the vicinity of your new boyfriend's place, you noticed how broken and jagged the cement was. Overall, you had expected a bit more from the dentist, but you weren't going to be the one to judge. Moon-jo wasn't close to anyone really, so when he'd offered to take you on a date the first couple of times, you were excited and surprised to say the least. You knew he had secrets (everyone does), but little did you know the secret he kept from the world.
Smiling, you see the familiar figure standing outside the entryway, smoking a cigarette. Moon-jo was wearing a black turtleneck and grey dress pants with a black leather jacket on top. His hair had been gelled down previously to his arrival but was now strewn about his face and ears; it was disheveled in the "I may have just got out of bed but I'm still sexy" type look. He had a piercing in one ear that was just barely visible from his curly black locks of hair and upon seeing your face, his expression changed from daunting to pleasant. Even his demeanor changed as he stood up just a bit straighter and positioned his hands behind his back, a stance that you were familiar with when he welcomed you to the clinic.
"Why hello there." You said with a knowing glance, making it obvious that you were checking him out. He didn't seem to mind though, in fact, he looked expectant of it. His eyes shifted downwards from yours to your lips and then to your outfit, never staying in one place for too long. How he was so good at undressing you with his eyes, you didn't know. All you knew was that you wanted him to do it again and again.
"Hello." He said in his soft deep voice. He smelled of Dolce and Gabbana or something similar in exquisiteness, with a faint familiar touch of... bleach?
"You look sexy as hell." You said, just itching to voice what was on your mind. It wasn't fair for him to be so taunting with his angled features and impeccable style.
"Wow. I thought I would've had to put in a bit more effort before you offered to sleep with me." He laughed and snaked an arm around your waist, leading you up the stairs. You smiled up at him and wondered how you found such a godlike person. From the way he walked to the way he acted, everything seemed so meticulous and beautiful, almost as if he was never truly from this realm. You were in awe of Moon-jo in every way, and you scared yourself with the thoughts of what you would let him do to you...
Up at the landing, he removed his arm from your body and pushed open the door to reveal the apartments on the floor which he resided. It was dark and dreary and had the faintest smell of mold and cleaning chemicals; you wondered if that's where you picked up the bleach smell from. The walls were a dark green which made it even darker and the walls were so close together that it felt suffocating trying to navigate your way around the building. There was not a decoration in sight, not a plant, not any of the other tenets. The silence was so deafening that your ears started to ring.
Opening up the door to his room, Moon-jo looked on the shelf above him for the car keys he needed to take the two of you on a proper date. He had offered to give you a ride to the new restaurant that had just opened, and you agreed even when he said you two would need to stop at his place for the keys.
"Where are they.....?" He asked himself as he shuffled about the shelves, looking for the familiar shape of the keys. You started to feel somewhat sick the longer you stayed in the building, the walls and the lighting started to take a toll on you. It was disorienting and uncomfortable and for a moment you thought back to the possibility of parallel universe liminal spaces, since the place reminded you of it so much. Clutching your purse closer to your body, you hold the cool chain around your neck to get some feeling back into your nerves.
"Hey, baby are you okay?" You hear him ask on the opposite end of the room.
"Yeah, yeah. I just need some air." You lied, trying to look at the floor to appease your stomach. Your shoes even felt tight.
"You can go wait for me in the kitchen, if you'd like. It's a bit more open in there. Down the hall to the left." He said, shrugging his shoulders and continuing to look through the cabinets. How he lost something in such a small place, you had no idea. But, you took him up on the offer of leaving the room and you made your way to the brightest but dreariest kitchen you've ever seen in your life. The wallpaper was ripping off the walls and dishes were piled into the sink as if their intended use were to sit and collect dust. Sitting down on one of the dining chairs, you place your head in your hands and take deep breaths as you try to steady yourself. What was wrong with you? Why did you feel so sick all of a sudden?
"I think I might've left them on the fourth floor." You heard the familiar voice resounding from behind you. Moon-jo knelt down beside you, placing his hands onto yours and removing them from your face. His expression was one of genuine worry and you felt bad for him for having to deal with you when you were like this. He offered you a slight smile as he tried to read your expression; his fingers brushing away at the hair that had fallen into your face. "Are you alright?"
"I guess I'm just claustrophobic or something. I'm sorry, I'm not usually like this it's just that this place-"
"-Feels like a cage." He said, completing your sentence. His gaze turned into a dark one but you had no idea why he was so bothered by the thought. It was reassuring to hear that he felt the same way about Eden Residence that you did.
"Yeah," you said, "something like that."
...
Walking up towards the fourth floor, you were relieved to catch your breath and to breathe in the night sky. The ascent to the floor above meant climbing one flight of stairs and trying not to step on any broken glass. This place that Moon-jo lived in made you nervous for him as it didn't seem all that safe. You wondered if the rest of the tenets were a bit strange.
The big heavy door to the women's area of the building looked even older than everything else. There were charred marks on the door (you didn't know what from) and the way it was tucked neatly into the corner all by itself shrouded it in an eerie darkness. The sign was chipping away and soon enough any evidence of there ever being any humanity living behind the door would be gone forever, like dust in the wind.
"Why were you on the women's floor?" You asked, slightly accusatory. You and Moon-jo had only been together for two weeks, but you still felt hurt to know that he could be around other people that sparked his interest.
"I was working." He said, revealing a hallway even darker than the one from downstairs. "I have a side hustle of..... sorts."
Walking into the room, the sensation of being trapped filled your senses once again. The walls had the same charred marks as the doorway and the floor was scuffed and dirty. "What happened in here?" You asked, noticing how it looked as though someone had set the place aflame.
"It burned down shortly after Eden Residence was built," Moon-jo held your hand, walking towards the end of the hallway slowly, "Everyone died except for the old lady's cat. Sometimes you can still hear it up here, moving about and scratching the walls."
The hallway ended and the two of you were in a room so isolated from the rest of the building that you felt a knot in your stomach. This was the type of nerve-wracking that people on Criminal Minds talk about before they're brutally murdered, and you finally understood now why Moon-jo had insisted that you stop at the Residence to grab his car keys. He was trying to get you alone and vulnerable and you didn't think it was for sexual related reasons.
You slowly stepped back from the middle of the room as Moon-jo grabbed something off one of the wooden planks on the floor. "Here they are. Would you look at that?" He said, turning to you with a wicked malicious grin. In his hands were the keys, pristine and clean as he liked the rest of his belongings. That's what drew him into you, the fact that you seemed so pure and innocent. Something he could make an absolute mess of. Dirty hands on a white towel. Satan holding a sacred dove. You were his most precious belonging.
"Moon-jo? I think I'm going to call it a night. I'm still not feeling all that well." You let out a slight whimper, trying to feel around for the door you just came through. Instead, your back hit the wall and you were met with Moon-jo's face just inches from your own. He wrapped his arms around you and forced you into his embrace, not caring whether or not you wanted to be touched at the moment. The truth was going to come out tonight and he knew you would take it well. You would have to take it well. And if you didn't, he would make sure you felt too threatened to leave him either way.
"You're not going anywhere, love." He pushed his nose into the crook of your neck and allowed for his face to rest there, listening to the rapid pace of your heartbeat and taking in the scent of your perfume. It was intoxicating to him knowing that your life belonged to him and he could end it at any moment. He could, but he wouldn't. He wouldn't ever lay a finger on you in the way he killed so many others. You were different. You spoke to his soul and made him feel something after years of searching for something to fill the empty space within his chest.
Your entire body froze as Moon-jo held you there, calmly breathing into your skin. You wanted to run away but you had no idea how you would be able to leave without him following you. He knew where you lived and you worked within the same office. Rejecting Moon-jo would be impossible.
Finally, he turned to look at you as he continued to hold you close to his chest. "I'm a killer, (Y/N). You were going to be my next target but I think I accidentally fell in love with you."
Your heart plummeted to your stomach. There's no way he was telling you the truth. This had to have been a lie, the antisocial doctor whom you had gotten to know was quiet and poised. A killer wasn't even an option in your mind as to what he could've occupied himself with outside of his work. And that's when it hit you: the dead bodies that had been found all over Gyeonggi-do with missing teeth.
To confirm your suspicion, you noticed a dentist's chair in the corner of the room, the white upholstery now stained with colors you did not want to familiarize yourself with. Next to it laid a table with various tools, all clean and polished.
"I kill them. And then I eat them after I take their teeth."
That's when you fainted.
...
Waking up in Moon-jo's room, you look up at the ceiling overhead. It was cracked and crumbling and visibly painted over layers and layers of ruin. The window closest to the top of the room let in just enough light that you were able to barely make out your surroundings...and the person who shared the bed with you.
Moon-jo looked so innocent while he slept. His head was resting on the bed (he had given you his pillow) and his hair was a mess as he nuzzled deeper into the sheets. His arms were around you still and you noticed how hard it was for you to move in his intense grasp. His face was completely calm and his skin glowed in the soft light above. You didn't know when you had passed out or how you had gotten into his bed, but you assumed he had taken you here after your vision went blurry. In other circumstances, you would have found him to be cute in the position he was in, but instead your stomach was filled with worry. What did he mean by killing? Why was he sparing you? What did he mean by loving you?
Even with the nervousness bubbling up inside of you, you still found yourself glued to your spot, not even because Moon-jo was holding onto you so tightly. You knew that you wouldn't have left even if he allowed it, so instead you nuzzled up closer to his chest which awoke him softly.
"You're awake?" He asked in a deep soft voice, holding you even tighter in case you decided to make a run for it. He seemed confused as to why you were still okay with being near him and why you hadn't tried to escape while he was vulnerable.
"Yeah." You said after a moment of silence.
Moon-jo noticed your slight distress and watched you conflict in your head the possibilities of loving him and leaving him. He watched your eyes and saw behind them that you were trying to keep your morals, noticing it became harder and harder as you leaned into his touch, giving into him completely.
"(Y/N), because I love you, I'm letting you leave if you decide not to be here anymore." He felt his chest tighten as the words left his mouth, knowing that he was being entirely honest with you and dishonest with himself. He didn't want you to leave his arms.
"Moon-jo, I'm not going to leave you." You said, looking up at him from the pillow. He looked beautiful in the soft light.
"Why not?" He asked, certain that you were going to make a run for it.
"Because I think I love you too much to do that."

Sauntering forward clad in a long black shirt and jeans, the man made his way towards the end of the hallway. Walking back and forth awaiting their arrival, he threw the tennis ball up in the air and caught it with the opposite hand, occasionally growing bored of the same motion and then throwing it towards the ground. They were taking a lot longer than he had expected them to. Now drenched in the blood of their previous boyfriend, he wiped at the stray marks on his arm, cringing as it clung to his skin. This was going to be a messy clean-up. He usually wore gloves to protect his otherwise manicured nails, but this was an unsuspected kill. He had no ill-will towards the man, besides from the fact that he had been close to his darling and he couldn't let that happen.
Hearing footsteps resounding towards the stairs by the door, he quickly slipped into one of the rooms of one of the other tenants, room 302. The room was dark compared to the dimly lit hallway. However, everywhere was cold. The summer did nothing to prolong the winter that grew in his heart. You had, though. He had never felt so in love with the possibility of love; casting it aside for most of his life due to his traumatic past and traumatic present. The only thing that got easier as time went on was murder. How funny for something so inhumane to be the most humane part of him. At least in a way, he thought so.
"Moon-jo!" You called out towards the air. Your hair was in a frenzy as your eyes darted back and forth, taking in the terrifying hallway before you. He was lurking somewhere in the shadows and you knew it; you could almost feel his heartbeat in the walls. He lived and breathed this place and it breathed into him, festering and growing into a murderous mindset that he couldn't escape. His story was written on the walls and his aura had seeped into the floorboards. This place never felt safe to you and it sure as hell didn't now.
"I know you can hear me. I know it." You called to the darkness once more, thinking that if you had averted the more argumentative tone that he might appear. He was never pleased when you tried to take control over a situation he deemed to be his. Suddenly, a tennis ball rolled to your feet from the other direction. You picked up the familiar object with hesitation, face contorting in discomfort once you saw the underside of it was coated in a dark red substance.
"Darling." You heard from behind you and stopped all sudden movements. It felt as though your feet had melted into the floor and you were stuck in place, joints growing stiff. What had happened to your confidence when you first came in looking for your partner?
When it hit you as to what happened, it was already too late. Syringe in his hand and his arms around you, your eyes met with your neighbor. His eyes were calm as he dropped to the floor with you, holding you to his chest as you felt the drug take over your senses.
"Hey. Calm down." He said, holding you gently and running his free hand through your hair, dropping the needle. He was glowing almost; the long hair framed his cheekbones and his eyes shone with love as he stared at you. There was blood all over his face and in his mouth which you noticed the moment he cracked that unsettling smile of his that you had grown to hate so much.
Slipping into the void of your mind, you watched the light fade away from the hall. The darkness grew around the two of you until the only thing left in focus was the man who had drugged you. "It's okay now." He said.
That's the last thing you remember. Before waking up in a dingy cinder block room with only one window, you remembered the eyes of Moon-jo which would be an image that would never leave your brain. You took a look around and noticed that you were tied up in a dentist's chair with a table of tools on the side. Wincing at the shooting pain from your wrists, you saw that your hands had been bound to the armrests with duct tape. Other than the fact that it was too tight, you were left unscathed. The darkness from the window signaled that it was nighttime and you had been out for a good couple of hours. How long you had been in there, you had no idea.
"Hello, my love." You heard from the chair next to you. Moon-jo was sitting down still covered in blood from his last kill, hair splayed about his head. He was smiling again, as though this were a normal occurrence between the two of you and that all he had done was ask you what your favorite color was. He watched you look down to his hands and to the weapon he was holding; the axe positioned between his legs shining in the moonlight.
"Please. I don't know what I did to you but I'm so sorry," you began as your eyes started to burn from your headache, "Don't hurt me, Moon-jo."
He looked so pissed now, much to your dismay. He was holding back an immense amount of anger and for what, you weren't sure. Was it not in his plans for you to plead for your life when he had taken you to his lair?
Sighing, he hung his head low before looking up at you with angry eyes. "I would never hurt you."
Never hurt you? What the hell did he mean by that? He had you bound up in a dentist's chair with a bunch of dangerously sharp looking objects sprawled around the two of you. He was a murderer. A cannibal. And he promised to not hurt you?
He smiled. "I know the thoughts that are running through your head right now, but you have to believe me. I would never lay a finger on you in a way that wasn't loving." He laid the weapon against the wall closest to him and held up his hands in a surrender-like position. Although he still looked slightly angry, he was more calm now that he noticed you had settled a bit. You looked around, trying to see if there was anything on the table that you could reach, but there was nothing close enough to touch without him knowing. Turning back to him, you spit in his direction.
"Leave me alone. I hate you." You said with as much anger and intensity as you could muster. He smiled once more.
"This is for us. Everything I do is for us. I killed Mrs. Eom and the others for you. I'm willing to give up everything, including the only life I've ever known. For. You." He lightly ran his finger along the hem of his shirt, his eyes never leaving yours. He jumped up from the chair and made his way to where you were seated as you tried to sink back into the upholstery to get away from him. "How funny, you're still scared of me when I'm close to you."
His hand lightly grazed your cheek and you thought for a moment to bite it to piss him off so you could grab the scalpel by the chair. It wasn't a bad idea and you were just about to act on it until he placed his hand around your neck, holding your chin up to look at him. "Don't even think about it. Or I'll make our engagement rings out of your teeth."
Oddly enough, this calmed you down. You mentally cursed yourself for letting his deep voice soothe you, and for letting him talk you into being content with your current position. If he had wanted to kill you, you had a feeling he would've done so already.
"Why are you doing this?" You asked him once he had removed his soft grip on you. He then sat down on the edge of your chair and placed your hand in his, twiddling with your fingers. For a moment you thought that he might've been reconsidering his previous statement of never wanting to hurt you, and that he was thinking about chopping them off one by one. He looked at you with tired but kind eyes, as kind as a serial killer could get.
"I told you, we're going to be together forever. Even if I have to kill everyone to be with you."
"Why me?"
"You're just as fucked up as I am." He said nonchalantly, as if the idea of murder didn't bother you in the slightest. "You still have those pesky morals of yours but I know what lies inside you."
You gulped and felt your entire body close in on itself. You wanted to get away from him, to run as far as you could from the stupid Eden Residence that ruined your life. You wanted to run to whatever police department would listen to your antics and to lock Seo Moon-jo up behind bars for the rest of his sad and pathetic existence, never allowing him to torture another human being again.
But you didn't. And you knew you wouldn't. Because as much as you hated to admit it, part of you accepted the fact that he was crazy. You accepted it a long time ago and were willing to look past the fact that he wasn't sane. Because a part of you thought that you could someday learn to love him, as much as you hated to admit. He had been adamant about dates before, but you had turned down every one in fear of being met with the monster before you. God, what was wrong with you? You were just as crazy as him.
"I know you're thinking about us," he said, "I can feel it."
"Please let me go." You said, calmer this time with less of a beg. Your wrists were really starting to hurt with the tape on you and you just wanted to wake up from this nightmare. Never having to see him again.
"Don't lie, there's a part of this that turns you on."
Eyes widening in shock, you look towards Moon-jo who had an intense gaze on you. Your silence proved his theory to be right and he chuckled to himself as he went to reach for the axe once again, twirling and twisting the hilt around. He pushed back his hair and revealed the blood on his forehead and a chain around his wrist. Noticing that you were staring, he shook his wrist in a way that the light would refract off of the charms. Teeth.
"These are all yours, love."
Tonguing the back of your mouth in denial, you were horrified to find that there were molars missing from both the top and bottom.
"The one around yours are mine." The chain that was wrapped around your wrist slightly underneath the duct tape held four teeth, all covered in the same red liquid that Moon-jo was covered in. You remembered that when he had drugged you there was a heavy amount of blood coming from his mouth.
Your stomach twisted in knots. Whether it was because of fear or arousal or both, you didn't know.
"Let's have some fun. We have the rest of eternity ahead of us." He said, walking towards you with the most loving look he could muster.
Coffee?
HENDERY X READER
The cute guy you met at a coffee shop offers to pay for your drink....and your attention.
The autumn breeze stung your face as you pulled your knit scarf closer to your mouth to trap in the warmth of your breath. The leaves made crunching noises as your feet collided with the ground, picking up the wet ones with the soles of your shoes as you walked. Your plaid knit skirt and black shirt weren't any combat against the cold, even with your beige trenchcoat wrapped around you like a blanket. Thankfully, the familiar aroma of your coffee shoppe filled your senses as you got closer and closer to the warmth inside of the building.
With a resounding bell from the top of the door, you made your entrance known with the gust of wind that came with it. Sighing in contempt as you noticed the shoppe was almost entirely empty, you made your way to the counter and removed the scarf from your face to give your order. Your best friend, Doyoung was working the night shift for today and he had complained about how bored he would be since no one would come in. He also complained about being too physically and emotionally exhausted the next day at classes.
"(Y/N)!" He said, placing his fingers on the counter and tapping them in a drumming motion against the slab surface, "What can I getcha?"
You smiled. "The usual."
You watched as he went to busy himself in the back, struggling to get the cups from the top shelf by the sinks. Of course you had ordered a cold drink in cold weather, just when they had put away all the summer cups.
Looking around, you noticed that the couple at the table in the back just made their exit out the front door of the shoppe; the bell ringing once more overhead. They walked towards the edge of the street and waited for the traffic to pass before walking off into the dark distance ahead. Turning back to the counter, you place a two dollar tip in the tip jar and busy yourself with organizing the complementary straws by color.
"What's wrong with the way they were before?"
A deep sounding voice came from behind and startled you slightly. The man who had entered extremely quietly was tall and thin with sharp, angular features that any model or movie star would kill for. He had box dye black hair and earrings that ran all the way up his ears and a nose ring to match. Clad in a black cashmere sweater and dark jeans, he was very beautiful and oh so very close to where you were standing.
"Oh! Uhm, well they seemed to be a bit out of order. The orange ones go in the back and the green in the front." Blushing, you occupy yourself with staring in any direction that he was not in.
He giggled. "Why's that?"
"Well no one would voluntarily go for the orange ones first." You said in retaliation to which he found the funniest statement ever. A couple awkward seconds pass and Doyoung returns with your iced caramel latte in one hand and a napkin in the other. Placing them down in front of you he checks the guy out behind you and you give him a knowing glance.
"Anything else?" He asked you as you fumbled around for your credit card. Suddenly, a hand stops you from behind and a card is handed over to Doyoung before you could seemingly blink.
"I'll get one of those too, please." The man says with a smirk as he pays for the both of your drinks.
"Why, thank you." You walk over to the nearest table and sit down while you watched Doyoung finish processing the stranger's card. Noticing you forgot a straw, you see the man grab two of them- two of the orange ones.
He sits down across from you and the light refracts off of the biggest earring on the right of his ear. His eyes find their way to yours as he smiles once more and hands you an orange straw.
"I figured that we could switch it up a bit and use the ugly straws." He states, holding his hands up in a fake surrender.
You were completely hooked on his persona now, and you knew that all attempt at forgetting him would be futile. He was just too goddamn pretty and too goddamn charismatic.
"I guess I'll let it slide since you did pay for my coffee." You said teasingly, as you worked on removing your hair from the braid it was pulled back in. Your bracelets jangled as your arms moved up to touch the delicately woven hair atop your head and you shook it out back to its full and natural state.
"Garnier?" He asks, stabbing the whipped topping with the straw and taking a long gulp of the gooey coffee tasting goodness. For a split second, you caught a flash of silver on his tongue before his mouth clamped down around the plastic.
"Garnier?" You asked, wondering what he could be referring to.
He smiled once more. "Your hair dye. It's a similar black to mine."
Damn, this boy was good. You nodded and let out a breathy laugh as you remembered the green box you'd picked out last week. The dye was the best for making sure the college dorm bathroom wasn't disgusting by the time you were done. Ryujin would have your head if she saw the caulking of the tiles stained black.
"Yes, it is," you said, watching the drinks disappear between the two of you, "How did you know that?"
He put down his cup and let out a soft exhale as he clapped his hands together in a cute way, watching you from across the table. "So glad you asked! I'm a hairdresser!"
"A hairdresser?" You asked with a blush starting to creep up onto your cheeks. That was cute. The thought of this stranger being paid to run his hands through your hair made your stomach ignite with butterflies.
"Yes!" He said, taking another sip of his coffee. It was just then that you asked him for his name, remembering that you didn't get one upon his first entrance.
"Hendery," He said with a mouth full of cream, "but you can just call me H."
"H? Why H?" You asked.
"Because it sounds edgier that way." He leans back in his booth and puts his arms up against the padding of the seat, trying to look cool and ridiculous at the same time. It looked much more like the latter to you, though.
"You're kidding?"
"Oh, 100%. That would be stupid."
His teeth flashed in your direction once more and you saw the tongue piercing that had been hidden from view. "What's your name?" He asks with a kind tone. He seemed to stop the entire world and focused solely on you. Time seemed to have stopped.
"(Y/N)." You said, intently gazing at his eyes.
"(Y/N)." He repeated, taking your name in like the drag of a cigarette. The word seemed to rest on his tongue like the piercing and then swallow down into the very fiber of his being. It was like a fish on a hook and damn, did he fall for you hook, line, and sinker.
The shared laughter between the two of you filled the entirety of the coffee Shoppe, and Doyoung eventually joined the both of you. He had whipped himself up a hot cocoa and you eyed the amount of whipped cream he had put on the top; sprinkles starting to melt into odd colors and the drink running down the sides of the cup onto the saucer. He totally had a whipped cream mustache above his upper lip and to say that he was enjoying the drink would be an understatement.
Eventually, Hendery had ordered one too and the secret came out that he really didn't like coffee, he had just come in to escape the cold and decided to stay for you. It was sweet and romantic and your heart filled with excitement as adrenaline coursed through your veins. This stranger was so enticing, yet so familiar. He couldn't have been a stranger anymore, however, he had introduced himself.
"Allow me to walk you home?" He motioned for the door as you threw away your cups. You looked back towards Doyoung and saw him motioning a blowjob with his hand in the air. Flipping him off silently, you agree and follow Hendery into the cold night air. It hasn't gotten any warmer, much to your dismay. The skirt seemed entirely ridiculous now as you grasped to hold onto any warmth.
"Hey, Hendery?" You asked, stopping along the sidewalk and looking up at the tall dark haired man. He smiled down on you with his teeth in a dorky manner and pushed away the hair from his eyes.
"Ye-es?" He said, glancing up at the streetlight that shone overhead. It was like a spotlight at a theatre and you were Romeo and Juliet. Just without the death and stuff.
"I-I think I'd like to do this again sometime." You said, reaching for his hand. Taking it from you, he spins you around and you turn in surprise, falling into his chest upon doing a 360.
"I'd like that too." His warm and minty breath fanned over your face and you knew you were done for.
"May I kiss you?"
"Why certainly."
With his lips against yours, you finally understood what people meant when they said they felt fireworks go off in their brains. It was safe and happy between the two of you as you leaned into each other, taking in one another's company. This whole scene was like something out of a movie and you thought back to the time you convinced yourself it wouldn't be possible for love at first sight.
Pulling away, Hendery rested his head against yours. "You taste like coffee." He says, leaning in for another kiss.
"I thought you said you didn't care for coffee?" You asked.
"I very much care for it now."
It's Hot To Punch a Blonde Guy in A Bar
Tyler Durden X Reader
⚠️ Warnings: Swearing, sexual innuendos, light nsfw, blood, use of drugs, reader is put in an uncomfortable position ⚠️
"Tyler?" You called from across the bar, wondering where on earth he went. He had ordered something and left you there to make it for him, walking away from it entirely so he could continue with whatever else was occupying him. With the cold drink in your hand, you glanced over both shoulders and wondered if maybe he ended up in the basement again. Where Tyler Durden was in Lou's Tavern was always a mystery. However; as you moved to set the drink back down, a familiar voice appeared from your left.
"Thanks." With this simple short and curt response, he took the glass from the bar and sat down haphazardly on the leather upholstered stools. Dark maroon jacket and contrasting bright blue shirt with palm trees, Tyler was really a sight to behold as he removed the large red frames from his face and put out his cigarette on the counter. You had told him numerous times to just take it outside, but he was Tyler Durden and if he wanted to do something, he did it.
Brushing away a couple strands of hair from the sides of your cheeks, you tried to force a smile on your face as you went to clean up the cigarette ash. He never made your job easy. Always leaving cigarette ash on the counter and a fight in his wake, you've just learned not to argue with him and go about your job.
Picking up another glass from the back, you move to serve the man directly to his right. This stranger had bright blonde hair- too bright- and a set of blue eyes to match. With an ugly black eye and fresh blood atop his lips, he went to grab your wrist to keep you there after you had handed him his order. This wasn't entirely out of the usual, this bar was dingy and gross and full of men who were even more disgusting. You considered it a good week when you didn't get sexualized for just breathing.
"Take your hand off me." You said in a firm but polite tone. If he tried anything stupid, you would kick him into next week.
Sighing, he moved the beer slightly away from him as he stared you up and down, taking in the sight before him and reveling in it. He seemed to like the fact that you were visibly uncomfortable and so he continued with his antics.
"Relax, Girlie. What do you say we get out of here?" He smiled and you could see that he was missing about four teeth.
"I have a better idea. Fuck off before I stab you in the face." He removed his grip from you and held up his hands in defeat.
"Woaahhhhh girlie is fiesty-"
Sometime between when he first opened his mouth and his lame gesture, you popped him right in the jaw, sending him tumbling backwards off his stool and onto the ground. There was a commotion now, the men at the bar looking at the blonde bitch as he held his face in his hands. All except for Tyler Durden, who stared directly at you with a half smile. He wouldn't admit it to himself right away but that was sexy as hell. Or, at least he thought so.
"You cunt." This kid spat out the name at you before trying to get up and steady himself against the counter. When his face came into view, you could see that his jaw was dislocated and blood was pouring out down the side of his mouth. You mentally high-fived yourself for breaking his face.
"Aww, want girlie to get you a band-aid?" You said in a mocking tone. This kid really pissed you off.
"Well I ought to-" he jumps up over the counter and reaches straight for your throat as you dodge away in the nick of time. The blonde boy throws himself into the cabinet of glasses and breaks a few of the ones in the very front. You steady yourself for a fight but you feel a hand on your shoulder and smell the familiar aroma of homemade soap and rust. Tyler held you back with a smile.
"I can take care of this one from here, thanks for warming him up for me."
Tyler crouched down to the man's level and held his face up by his ugly ass hair. The man now sported a couple fresh cuts, none of which were too serious except for the one above his eyebrow. That would need stitches.
"I'll have you know that you tried to hit my girl, Angel Face." Tyler stated as he banged the stranger's head against the floor once again and knocked a couple of teeth out. "This girl right here isn't in fucking Fight Club you sadistic fuck." Once again the stranger loses a couple more teeth.
Pound after pound and slap after slap, Tyler has to stop himself before things became too messy. Floor tiles were starting to pop up, for Christs sake. Blood ran through the lines in-between the tiles creating pretty red patterns in contrast against the green of the room. The man that Tyler referred to as Angel Face now had two black eyes and a deep gash by his forehead. Glass stuck out from spots in his hands as be gasped for air, blood bubbling up in his throat and involuntarily being spat out.
"Hey, let's get out of here before some human butt wipe decides to call the authorities." Lighting another cigarette, your boyfriend had the largest grin on his face. Even with the specks of the stranger's blood, you thought he looked hot as hell.
"Sounds like a plan." You said, and grabbed your purse from behind the bar. "Irvine, I'm clocking out early!"
With an arm around your waist, Tyler escorted you off the premises and towards the familiar house on Paper Street; puddles lined up against the sidewalk and broken bottles littering the grass. Thankfully the walk from Lou's wasn't too far and in no time, you found yourself within the confines of the wooden house with the horribly printed wallpaper. Kicking off your shoes and leaving them in the walkway to mess with Tyler, you go to grab the coffee cup printed robe that he wore so often from the back of the couch in the living room. It was getting colder as the seasons changed and you knew that it would be another difficult year of not being able to afford heat.
"So... About this Fight Club you mentioned earlier...?" You started, trying to make conversation. You had briefly heard whispers of the other guys talking about some club that took place in the basement of where you worked, but whenever you had asked, the men stated that they were sworn to secrecy.
"First rule, babe. Can't talk about it." You heard his voice from the kitchen along with the clattering of pots and pans. It was 12:17am, why the fuck was he making soap this early?
"Not even with me?" You walked into the kitchen and leant against the island in the middle of the room; surrounded by haphazardly placed cupboards and exposed wires from the ceiling. There was the smell of vinegar in the air and the stove kicked on, emitting a slight amount of heat on Tyler's side of the room.
"Nope. Although I might be inclined to share a few details about my daily habits if you let me have my robe back." He said with his back to you, busying himself with mixing the soap around with a spoon.
"What if you tell me everything instead? I deserve to know, I think." You said, lighting a cigarette from one of the boxes on the table.
"That's hardly a deal."
"I'll give you your robe back."
"It's mine anyways."
"I'll let you fuck me again."
Tyler put down the spoon and seriously contemplated your offer. His hair was sticking up in every direction and he still had yet to wipe the blood off his face from the catastrophe earlier.
"Before you go to work tomorrow?" He asked, raising his eyebrows in a ridiculous suggestive manner.
"Yes. Scout's honor."
Tyler turned the stove off and placed the contents of the bowl in the fridge. You never dared to open that fridge since you were sure you would find body parts or blood bags or some other weird shit in there. That's how you and Tyler thrived. He did murderous shit, you didn't pry. He gave you love and cared about you, you stayed out of his business.
Turning around, he places both his arms on the island directly across from you. His jacket had been cast aside so his short sleeved T-shirt allowed for a great view of the veins in his arms and hands. Sweat beaded slightly on his forehead and he licked his lips in anticipation.
"Fight Club. It's a place where the real heroes of society earn their praise for their dedication to life and the downfall of capitalism," he smirks and rubs your hand on the counter, "No girls allowed."
"Why not? I'm sure I could kick your ass. You saw me beat up that douchebag today." You said, with a glare directed towards Tyler's comment.
"See, there's a difference. Most of the guys get pleasure out of fighting each other because it lets loose some of their anger. For me, if you were to kick my ass that is, I would find it pleasurable purely because you're sexy and I love you."
You sighed with a slight smile to let him know you weren't angry. "You're impossible."
"Impossibly handsome?"
"Go back to making soap or some shit," you joked.
"I have a better idea." He scooped you up into his arms and pressed you against the wall, locking you in between his body and the structure of the house. He gave you one last look in the eyes before he went to work on kissing you softly at first, and then getting more and more rough and sloppy. Fingers intertwined in his hair, you kissed him back feverishly.
His hand then went to make a move against the side of your thigh, tapping alongside it with his fingers in a drumming motion as he continued to kiss you with an intense passion. You thought it was cute and waited for him to change his directory towards something more R rated and leave the PG-13 in the dust. Just as you had silently hoped, his hand moved up to the hem of your shirt, slowly rubbing circles on your side and making his way up slowly. Tyler liked to take his time with these things, you noticed. It was because of some poetic thingy probably; about how the world was caving in and we're all dying but we can take things slow sometimes and enjoy the moment.
"I thought you wanted it before I had to leave for work?" You asked with a knowing tone. Your boyfriend was such a wimp about these things.
"We can always stay up all night...." He stated in between kisses. He pulled away for a moment to look at you and your current position against the wall, taking in the sight before him. He didn't see a lot of beauty in the world, but you definitely held the most of it.
"We can't do that, remember what happened last time?"
Tyler stopped his motions and thought back to the time he had gotten a little too crazy from the exhaustion and the sex that he threw the furniture from one of the upstairs bedrooms out the window to make room for some of the weird shit he wanted to try. The desk drawers and the chairs as well as all the old magazines were still outside on the ground, spewed about in disfunctional chaos outside the second story window.
"Fine, then I'll wait until tomorrow." He said, taking the robe from you and slipping it on, walking upstairs.
"You bitch, Tyler! You set me up!" You said with a laugh and followed him up the stairs. The smell of soap slowly leaving you as you got closer and closer to Tyler's room at the top of the stairs.
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. Are you gonna stay awake now?" He grinned and pulled you in close to him, opening the door with the heel of his foot and stumbling into the room with you in his arms as he made his way towards the bed. The door shut behind you and as the heavy wood made impact with the frame, a crack ran up the wall. Before you had time to register how much that would cost to get fixed, Tyler reached out and grabbed you from behind, pinning you onto the bed and leaning over you with the wildest grin on his face.
"Alright, Mr. Durden," you said as you twisted around and caught him by surprise, "I can stay up for a while." You caught his ankles and turned the two of you around so that he was now the one underneath and you were on top, straddling his waist. He took off the infamous coffee robe and threw it over the edge of the bed and watched as it hit the floor, lying back down again. His shirt was rising up, exposing the toned abdomen he had underneath, and his beautiful pale skin. His breath hitched as he watched you reach to remove the garment from his torso and then up above his chest and shoulders, removing it entirely from his frame. Your eyes practically drank in the image of him lying there shirtless and gorgeous as ever. The scars that littered his body glimmered under the soft glow of the candles used to light the house after dark (courtesy of no one ever paying the electrical bills). Your fingers went to trace over some of them, Tyler watching you with complete and utter admiration as you became lost in thought.
"Hey, everything okay?" He asked, watching how quickly your mood changed.
You smiled. "Everything is perfect, you're perfect."
Any anxiousness of his went away with your confirmation of his appearance.
"My scars?" He asked.
"Especially your scars. You're beautiful, Tyler."
This last sentence barely left your mouth before Tyler was lost in your kiss again, this time with more love than lust like before.
"Well," he said, "I don't want to die without any scars."
"Mission accomplished." You giggled and drew him in once more.

(A/N: I thought this concept of beating Jared Leto's character up and having Tyler think it was cute was something I desperately needed to write into a fanfiction. That was all it was going to be originally, until I read a Cliff Booth fic by @darling-i-read-it and fell in love with their writing towards Cliff's scars. The reader takes her time to go over each one in their story; making sure he feels loved and handsome as she talks about his past. I wanted to do something similar with the reader in my story as the reader is very in love with Tyler Durden. Thank you for inspiring my writing! You're truly one of my favorite creators on this app!!)

PAUL ATREIDES X READER
You were to remain on Arrakis to aid in destroying the Atreides family: a Bene Gesserit trained assassin working for the Harkonnen House. It shouldn't have been hard to kill The Duke Leto's son with your Crysknife, however, love can be messier than blood.
You were unsure when it hit you as to what Paul was truly trying to accomplish. Was it when you were ready to draw your blade or when he looked you dead in the eyes with that godforsaken beautiful expression on his face? It was just unfair how he was able to halt your motions by looking at you; his grey-blue pupils looking brighter than the Arrakian sun as the moons shone down from above. It would've been an easy kill, really. But something told you that your plan wasn't going to work out.
In hesitation, you removed your hand from the hilt of your knife and allowed yourself to be lost in his gaze. Suddenly, he placed his lips on yours. You had heard of kissing before, but only in the books on the old worlds that the Harkonnens had within their library. Never thinking to experience it, you hadn't prepared yourself to combat it. In a way, it was more difficult than going over battle strategies or studying the history of The Imperium.
But to your surprise....you enjoyed kissing Paul.
He slowly moved himself away from you, looking into your eyes to try and get a glimpse of an emotion from you; any emotion at all would suffice. He felt warm as he enveloped himself into the embrace that was your kiss; thinking over and over his actions and pondering the potential consequences of them. Your eyes glimmered with something that he was unable to make out in the dark but he knew it was a ferocity equivalent to anger. But then, everything changed. Your face had softened and your eyes grew slightly wet. To say he was astonished by the fact that you could have any other emotion than coldness was an understatement. But he did know that he wanted to capture that look into his memory for as long as he lived.
And then- the impossible happened. You smiled.
"Paul..." Before you could get another word out, his lips were upon yours again, this time more feverishly. Your fingers intertwined in his hair as you forgot completely about the mission you were forced to pursue. The only thing your mind was capable of thinking was the boy in front of you.
Pulling away once more, he rested his head to yours. There was a softness that had entered the room now that all formalities had come to an end; the sound of heavy breathing was the only thing to be heard as you allowed the gap between the two of you to proceed once more.
"I've thought about doing that for a while now. I didn't think I would ever be granted the chance." He smiled.
"Paul." You said.
"Hm?"
"You just made my job a lot easier."
Suddenly a large boom could be heard from the outside. Before he had time to ask you what you meant, a brilliant orange light filled the window above and covered the dark night littered with stars. Something was burning.
He jumped up from where he was laying and immediately ran to the hallway, in hopes of glancing at some of the guards who would tell him what was going on. For the second time that night Paul was astonished. There were no guards anywhere in the vicinity. In fact, everything seemed dead besides from the war that raged outside.
You exited the room right after Paul. Heading for the stairs, you ran to make your way outside. This was it. Vladimir must've finally engaged in his plans. The coolness of the slab floor beneath your feet and the crisp air of the hallway was oddly enough like a slap in the face; a universal gesture saying, "This is it. Run for it."
Taking in harsh breaths as he watched your descent, Paul pushed back his hair and beelined towards his room. Throwing open the door in his haste, he quickly threw on a pair of training clothes and started to search for his shield. Once he found it, he would be able to slip it on and use it to withhold enemy attacks. Hopefully, they weren't familiar with technology from Caladan, whomever these attackers were. He quickly remembered the Hunter-Seeker from earlier. That wasn't a typical gadget known to Arrakis. Yet they had known.
Throwing a cape over his shoulders, he made his way to the commotion.
⌛⌛⌛
Jessica threw water over her still features as she glanced at herself in the mirror. There was something odd about the way her face had taken shape over the past couple of days, and she wondered if it could be sinking in due to her stress from the move. Arrakis wasn't her ideal home, but she was learning to make do with what she had considering she didn't have a choice in the matter. If Paul was really proven to be the Muad'Dib, then he wouldn't have been able to fulfill his prophecy on Caladan. Not that that was her reason for moving, but it was definitely an image that plagued her mind. Her son, all grown up. Constantly living in danger.
It was every parent's dream.
Sighing to herself, she fixed the straps on her nightgown and opened the door to her shared bedroom with the Duke Leto. The room itself was a dark brass color with ancient inscriptions on the walls and ceilings and an abundance of space. It was intimate with the way the room was dimly lit with candles; something again that she didn't see a lot of on Caladan. Her home used to be dark and gothic, with a clear view of grey skies and rain through every window. It was beautiful and perfect. And now she was stuck in a summery wasteland.
Sighing to herself, she slipped into the silky sheets that adorned the top of her mattress. The Duke's side of the bed was cold, as usual, meaning that there was something keeping him in the office; he would probably just sleep among the books again if given the change. The truth was, Jessica didn't like being alone, no. It was a type of loneliness that festered within the very being of her soul when it came to the nights she would find herself with only her thoughts to keep her company. Bene Gesserit, Muad'Dib, the Crysknife. Anything and everything that would pull on her heartstrings until awaking the next morning became a feat in itself.
And that mischievous son of hers. There was no way that he was staying out of trouble, not with you around. Jessica saw every glance in your direction that you didn't; Paul had quickly become infatuated with you. Whether it was because of the close proximity in age or if it was the brief conversations beforehand, she was surprised that her son had taken interest in a servant girl. No matter, he would eventually come to his senses.
One thing was for certain though. Jessica did not like you.
She tried to place her finger on exactly what it might be, but she just couldn't figure out why she found you so detestable. It had nothing to do with her son's intentions and everything to do with your demeanor. You were strong and held a face of power that all the servants she had met in her life didn't have. Almost like...almost like a Bene Gesserit.
As Jessica threw back her covers in realization, the house shook with the first blast of the enemy attack.
⌛⌛⌛
"Ataraxia!" Paul huffed after you once he caught a glimpse of your frame on the desert sands below. Cloak whipping around you, you held something close to your chest as you ran across the cool sands and towards the ships that started to invade the sky. With the fire burning behind you and the blaring of the bombs above, it was truly a sight to be seen as chunks of sand and ship debris flew around the night sky. The stars twinkling overhead managed to look so innocent compared to the rest of the setting; Paul being similar. The innocence that filled his eyes upon catching your gaze once you turned around at the sound of your name. His hair flying about and his nervous stance added to his confusion as you started to walk towards him.
"I promised to take your head. But if you wish to go with me entirely, I can't complain. My uncle desires your death more than the Fremens desire that cursed spice." You tried to voice your words with anger; getting closer and closer to the boy who had it coming from the start. It wasn't fair for him to do this to you, not now that you were so far into the game already. This kiss had really set you off and now you didn't know what to make of yourself. It wasn't fair. What compelled you to act like this?
Paul reached for the shield in his pocket and then- it hit him. Why you acted the way you did. What drew him in. You were never an ally to him or his family. The name Harkonnen filled his mind like a violent poison, reaching every crevice of his soul and leaving a dark empty void within him. It polluted the very veins within him, ripping out his heart and leaving a vile taste in his mouth. You were a traitor.
"O-oh." Was all he managed to say as he placed his hand on his chest in hopes to still his breathing. A dark and solemn look suddenly appearing on his face; he composed himself and gathered every ounce of strength within him as he prepared for a fight, remembering back to everything that Hawat had taught him. Turning on his shield, he furrowed his eyebrows and tried to change the image in his mind of you to become the enemy and not a lover, but to no avail. He couldn't hate you even if he tried to.
"Seriously, how dense do you have to be?" You said, expecting to be reveling off the fact that he had fallen directly into your trap. Yet something in you felt off. Paul was hurt and for some reason, it hurt you too.
"Ataraxia -"
"It's (Y/N)." You corrected him, now finally being able to give away your true name instead of going undercover with that stupid alias your uncle had made. "(Y/N) Harkonnen." Another blast of light was seen in the sky with a loud boom that followed. A piece of one of the Harkonnen ships flew overhead and landed about forty feet behind Paul, giving you the distraction you needed to attack. Without giving it too much thought, you ran forward and made a quick motion with your knife to try and slit Paul's throat. He must've anticipated this, for in a second his hands gripped both your wrists to try and hold you down. With surprise, you knee him in the stomach and drop down to grab your knife, placing it up to his throat once more. The shield around him started to burn with the color red as you held the knife in close contact, trying to break the device with the longer you held it there.
"Atara-(Y/N)! You don't have to do this!" Paul managed to get out between huffs. He used his previous training to break out of your grasp and to pin your arms behind your back, both of you falling to the sand. He holds you in place as you squirm in his grip, staring at him from above.
"You know, I might've actually enjoyed this under different circumstances." You kicked him in the face and waited for his natural retaliation before jumping up and pushing him back down, kicking him in the face and spraying blood from his nose onto the brown earth below. He had a gash along the underside of his chin and most definitely a broken nose. However; you hated to admit that he was still beautiful, even all bashed up and bruised.
"Oh fuck off." He spat and swerved out of the way before you could kick him again.
Just then the ground started to shake but in a way that was both familiar....and alarming. Your heart fell into the pit of your stomach as your brain put two and two together, knowing that the imminent threat of danger was Paul no longer. It was the Shai Hulud that buried itself deep within the sands.

Just some cute little headcannons!
⚠️ Warnings: language, sexual innuendos, drug use, sexy Dilf Brad Pitt? ⚠️
The way you met was strange; you were at a gas station somewhere in the western parts of Hollywood when you saw a yellow 1966 Cadillac Coupe de Ville pull up out front. Sporting a Hawaiian shirt brighter than the sun and a cigarette dangling from his teeth, the man walked in and announced that he needed heavy duty cleaner because there was blood on the hood of his car. From whom, you didn't know but with the way he flashed his teeth at you and slicked back his hair, you knew that you were in more trouble than whomever Cliff Booth decided to beat up that day.
He had promised himself that he would never get married again after the incident, but you were too goddamn charming and the way your shorts rode up your thighs.......
His bright smile and even brighter persona is what drew you in; a nice contrast against your usual pessimistic attitude and overall sense that the universe was out to stab you in the back.
And your pessimism is what drew him in, you were always real with him and watching a smile light up your face after a joke he made was like heroin to him. And he also found it funny how you managed to trip over nothing when you were lost in your rants about how the seats in his car were too warm or how the sky hurt your eyes.
Long car rides where you share the aux cord- him usually going for something along the lines of Billy Idol and your response with the Sex Pistols.
In this instance, opposites really do attract.
But you loved him good and that's what he had been searching for, unbeknownst to him. He didn't think he would ever date someone with a significant age difference, but the fact that you were fresh into your twenties didn't seem to bother him too much.
On the occasion where you two would play-fight, you would call him grandpa and that would shut up any other insults he could come up with.
Him having pet names for you, which you usually hated but allowed him to continue.
Some examples of these would be: Darling, Babe, Princess, but his all time favorite would be little shrimp because he knew it pissed you off.
And your pet names for him were usually: Love, Babe, Love of my Life, Asshole, and Cowboy. Cowboy was because of his southern accent.....probably.
HIM HOLDING YOUR THIGH WHILE HE DRIVES LORD SAVE ME NOW
Becoming best friends with Rick Dalton because of your close proximity to Cliff all the time.
Spending time with Rick watching his movies while Cliff busies himself with making margaritas in the kitchen.
To which you drink with haste, whereas the other boys take it a bit slower because chances are that they're drunk already.
Laying down on Cliff while you talk to Rick about filming. Rick rolling a joint and offering one to you and Cliff.
Your favorite thing about Cliff though, was his dog.
Brandy instantly loved you and you didn't have to rub peanut butter all over your face for this to be true, unlike your husband.
Getting married with just the two of you and Rick; a bright sunny day in the middle of absolutely nowhere, your only other guests being tumbleweeds and sand.
Having antique rings that the both of you thrifted.
Cliff says it's because, "We're keepin' love alive."
Rick allowing the two of you to spend the night at his place since the camper is usually a mess and is a bit too small for the two of you.
You usually are able to make room when he-
And he-
And on the table where he-
And sometimes even outside when you-
And then in the back of Rick's car sometimes-
Y'all are horny, that's the point.
Wearing Cliff's shirts!!!!!!???
"Hey, that's my favorite yellow one!"
"it's my favorite too, now help me match it with one of your glasses."
He obliges.
Rolling up to pick up Rick but making him sit in the back because he's the third wheel now.
Sometimes he likes to throw a fit about how "movie stars ride in the front, pimps in the back," to which he receives a nice finger from you and an insult about his haircut. It's okay though because you can pet Cliff's hair from the backseat as he drives.
Grabbing snacks for the road!!! You usually grab a coffee and a bag of Twizzlers while Cliff opts for a protein bar and a lemonade.
Kissing Cliff in public all the time.
Like- all the time.
Everywhere.
Cuddling while watching movies and sitting in his lap while you fuss over his hair and making out with him while he pumps gas.
The possibilities are endless.
Chilling with Rick in his pool while listening to his tapes for auditions and giving him advice where you see fit.
Also stealing Rick's sunglasses.
"Where the f-f-fuck are m-my sunglasses?! Cliff??"
"My lady's wearin' em."
"W-well tell her to take em off!"
"Little Shrimp, can you give Rick his glasses back?"
"Nope."
"There's your answer."
Wearing skimpy outfits just because you know you're fucking with your husband.
And him taking his shirts off whenever he decides to work on a project and watching you get all hot and flustered.
Going to restaurants and choosing the wackiest things off the menu, trying to one up each other with your weirdness.
Usually sharing bits and pieces of your meals with each other.
Listening to him talk for hours about his favorite movies and musicians.
And him listening to you talk about yours.
All in all, y'all love each other.
My heart hurts.
BIKE RIDES AND CIGARETTES
Brad Pitt X Reader
Biking around the city with your husband!!!!!
Just a little drabble I wrote while I find the motivation to finish my other fanfictions :)
The spokes of your bike tires made cute little noises as the cards you had stuck to them flapped in the wind. Your footing on the pedals loose as you allow yourself to fully relax and enjoy the sunrise coming up from the east overhead, creating a nice yellow/blue tone over everything you saw. It was a perfect temperature; the petrichor from the rain that morning had left a dewy feel to everything you touched and made it perfect for a light sweater and ripped jeans. Your hair blew around in soft movements as you pedaled faster down the edges of the Seine River, the cool breeze being picked up from the water made its way to your face as it gently caressed your skin. Today was perfect.
Following suit, your husband of a year and half was behind you, looking out towards the scenery and the hazy light of the sun stretched across the sky. His hair was a perfect mess and his smile was brilliant as he flashed his lovely teeth. Brad loved bike rides almost as much as he loved you; being able to participate in both loves at the same time was the best feeling in the world to him. He was also clad in dark jeans and a light beige cardigan. He looked like he was straight out of a Renaissance painting.
Continuing down the cobblestone paths and around the bridge, you push through the soft wind to try and get to the spot you and Brad often shared your coffees on a park bench. The Eiffel Tower was on full display and there was something about it that looked extra breathtaking today, although you didn't know if it was because you were genuinely very happy or if it was the weather.
"Babe!" You slowly started to stop your bike as you waited for Brad to catch up with you. Wind blowing his sweater around him, he stopped his bike next to yours and took in the sight before him. You were beautiful and he could've sworn that if he had the opportunity to, he would fall in love with you in every country the two of you traveled to. Being a bit of a movie star definitely helped him with travelling.
"What's wrong?" You asked, voice laced with a slight worry.
"Nothing, everything is absolutely perfect." Brad smiled to you and leant in slightly as he delivered that line.
"May I ask why we stopped then?"
"There's a bookstore that you missed in your hurried attempt to escape me." He smiled and went to kiss you softly on your cheek before mounting his bicycle once again and kicking the stand back.
Excitedly, you hop back on your bike and feel for the pedals, pushing the flyaway strands of hair away from your eyes and allowing a smile to adorn your features. Taking one last glance at the edge of the river, you turn towards the direction of your husband and follow him on your bike to the little corner store you happened to completely glance over.
A worn out and faded sign was placed outside the front of the store, reading the name of the shop: "The Delicate Spine- used and renewed books of all sorts." It was a hand-me-down bookstore so there was definitely some treasures to be found on it's shelves. Itching in anticipation of what you might find to add to your book collection, you chain the front of your bike to the stand out front next to Brad's and the two of you walk in.
Wooden shelves scattered in no particular order were all around the entirety of the small place, a staircase leading to the basement which presumably had more of the same visual. The walls were a light yellow with a white trim and the paint was chipped and faded. The bell sounded above your head signalling your entrance to the older man who worked at the front desk and a sudden exhilarating smell of coffee filled your nose. It was a quaint and beauteous little place; you wondered how you could've possibly missed it before.
"All hardcovers are 20% off." The man stated with a smile as he shuffled around grabbing a box of books and walking towards the back of the store. Brad looked to you and grabbed your hand, leading you immediately down the stairs to the more abandoned shelving units in hopes of finding books of odder taste. It was funny how even a place full of items people didn't want anymore had a place within it that was even more abandoned by the public eye. With your free hand, you lightly touched the chipped paint on the walls with the tips of your fingers, gliding your hand along the wall as you made your descent; noticing the way the paint turned into a flowery wallpaper. The air was significantly cooler down here, giving you the notion that you were finally underground in the basement as you took in the plethora of books and scripts in front of you.
"I'll start on the left, you on the right?" Brad asks as he makes his way to the opposite end of the room.
"Sounds perfect to me." You replied and found yourself rummaging through the spines and loose papers. The smell of the basement was so nice, the earthy scent and the ink on paper would be one that you would remember for a long time. You wished you could encapsulate it into your memory for forever, going back to this moment whenever you felt so.
While searching through the faded titles, you come across an old favorite. Pulling out the familiar art deco cover, you notice the giant coffee stain on the front of it. Snickering to yourself, you flipped through the pages of The Great Gatsby by Scott F. Fitzgerald. There were highlights and notes in the margins signifying that whomever owned the book previously certainly got their use out of it. Grinning at the familiar name Jay Gatsby, you remembered your love for his character.
Eventually, you found yourself running your fingers over more and more titles, some of which were familiar and others that went by names you'd never heard of. Amidst your gazing, your fingers brushed over Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. However, it seemed that someone else had a similar idea and your hand grazed Brad's. Meeting his gaze, he flashed that brilliant smile once more and flipped his sunglasses above his head to push his hair back, allowing for his bright blue eyes to be on full display. Everything about him was enthralling.
"Why hello, sir. I do believe that I had my hands on Kafka first." You grinned.
"Hm...but it seems to me that you've already read this one. Therefore, I feel like I deserve the book more," He gently pulled the book off the shelf and held it out to you, "Or a pretty lady could read it to me and I'd call it a truce."
"Something like that could be arranged." You added the book to your small stack in your hands as you walked back up the stairs to pay for them. You insisted on paying for Brad's too, despite the fight he put up against you doing so.
You won, of course.
Placing your books into small paper bags, the shop owner printed out your receipt and handed you the items with a knowing glance. "You're a collector." He said with an eyebrow raise.
"Yes! How did you know?" You asked, now intrigued by what this man had to say.
He smirked. "All of them have outrageous stains and writing on the inside. My wife and I enjoy collecting the outcasts too."
You felt an admiration burning in your chest. It was nice to meet someone who also had an appreciation for things like this.
After you had finished at the desk, Brad helped to unchain the bikes. He had a determined look on his face as he busied himself with the task at hand, allowing for your leisure time to be spent searching for the cigarettes in his jacket you were wearing. You knew he always had a pack on him, yet you couldn't seem to find it anywhere in any of his pockets.
"Looking for this?" Your husband asks you, holding out his half-empty pack which he presumably took out from his back pocket.
"Why, yes actually." You go to reach for one of the cancer sticks, but he pulls it back from you.
"These things'll kill you, you know. You should really quit." He said with a teasing laugh.
"Oh yeah? And you're going to quit anytime soon?" You rebutted, knowing you were already winning this mini battle against him. Brad smoked way too much, for him to tell you to stop was complete ridiculousness.
"Fine, you got me." He pulls out a lighter and lights the end of both your stick and his, both of you deciding to take your drags while sitting outside the bookstore on the curb. Brad's cardigan was pooling below his waist now that he untucked it from his jeans, and you watched as he exhaled the smoke ever so delicately. Brad doing anything was graceful, but nothing compared to the way he smoked. The cylindrical spirals of grey coming from the edges of his mouth reaching up towards the sky and creating pretty patterns.
After a time, he sighed and looked in your direction. You were currently staring across the road, lost in your thoughts. Your face was pressed into a hard gaze as you pondered over whatever was going on in your pretty little mind; completely oblivious to your husband's staring. Brad felt his heart lurch ever so slightly as he watched you finish your cigarette and stomp on it to put out the burning embers.
"Ready to go?" You asked, motioning towards the bikes.
"Yeah."
Brad didn't say it in that moment, but he went over the reasons he married you in his head. The way you looked at him when he supposedly wasn't paying attention was one of them. He was so in love with you, he would buy you all the libraries in the world and had offered to do so. However, the little library full of misshapen and ragged books you had at home was perfect enough for the two of you.
He couldn't wait to continue these bike rides and cigarette stops all over the world.
Promise pt.2
PAUL ATREIDES X READER
You were to remain on Arrakis to aid in destroying the Atreides family: a Bene Gesserit trained assassin working for the Harkonnen House. It shouldn't have been hard to kill The Duke Leto's son with your Crysknife, however, love can be messier than blood.
The summery orange sky cast long shadows against the wooden floor, the sun illuminating the sands and everything within the castle as it set across the Arrakis sky. It was warm and comforting, but a reminder of the scorching heat of the outside. Looking out to the distance from the corridor window, one could see the crevices left by the sandworms in their wake; the earth caving in where they had dug through.
Walking Paul through what was once the Harkonnen House, you noticed things about the place that you hadn't before now that you had time to walk around for yourself. For instance, the way the stained glass windows of the downstairs cathedral style rooms created patterns against the ceilings and made everything a rainbow color. Or the way your shoes made noises against the freshly polished wood of certain areas within the home whereas they didn't on the smooth stone. There was a slight breeze that filled the hallways and flew strands of Paul's hair out of his eyes and all around his face. His eyes were a piercing grey-blue with an intensity in them today that you haven't seen in a while. His chiseled features were set in a frown as he glanced about the hallway, looking in any direction other than the one you were in. It was irritating.
"Something on your mind, sir?" You asked the tall boy next to you, awaiting a response.
"I thought I mentioned that we could drop the formalities between us?" He said in a short and curt tone. What was with him today? What had put him in such an agitated mood since leaving the dining hall?
"Forgive me Paul." You said obviously starting to get firey with every word that managed to escape your lips. Why is he being such a..... What did he call it the other day again? Bitchass?
He let out a puff of air and the expression on his face calmed a little. "I apologize for the abruptness, I just came back from an interesting conversation with my father."
His father! You hadn't caught a glimpse of him since the Atreides family had moved in. Always busying himself with the plans to harvest the spice and to keep the Fremens at bay, he was almost invisible.
It was getting harder and harder to accomplish your mission.
"Your father..?" You asked, leaving the conversation open for him to add his own input. If he could give any clues as to where he was or something in regards to strategies the Duke Leto shared with him in private, you might just be able to carry through with the attack before anyone got suspicious.
He pushed a few strands of hair out of his eyes and stopped dead center of the hallway, giving you a clear notion that he wanted you to pause your tour. His fingers twitched at his side and his anxiousness was evident, even through the facade he put on in front of you. You wondered why he would be carefree and heartfelt one moment and then tense and stoic the next. Was he struggling with his duty of becoming heir to the throne? Had his father mentioned something so troubling that things had gone haywire?
"I found a Hunter-Seeker today. It was in my room this morning."
The air around you suddenly felt cold. The comfort of the sunlight was no longer within the corridor as a chill ran down your spine. That wasn't a part of the plan.
"A-a Hunter-Seeker? Are you sure?"
"I'm pretty sure since I was almost killed." He said with a matter-of-fact tone. So this is what was stressing him.
"Did you contact anyone outside of your intermediate family? Did you talk to the guards? What did Hawat have to say about the ordeal? Is your mother-"
"Ataraxia." He held you down in place sensing your worry. Something about the way he held his palms against your shoulders calmed you down. It was a comforting touch but it could also be deadly if anyone is to see the two of you like this. You are, after all, just supposed to be a servant.
He paused a moment before you looked up at him with fury in your eyes. This isn't how things were supposed to go. You weren't told of there being another assassination attempt for the Atreides family since this was supposed to be your reconciliation with the Harkonnens. This was your ultimate approval of trust.
Maybe you were taking too long.
"Ataraxia? Why do you look angrier than me? I was the one who almost died." He pondered aloud.
Your hand went to caress the hilt of your Crysknife within your pocket to calm yourself. You were letting too much information slip through the cracks by allowing yourself to be upset over this. Paul was right.
"Forgive me. I lost my sense of place."
"It's quite alright. There's no harm in delving into one's own thoughts." He smiled with a pained expression and made a movement to carry on towards the end of the hall. You followed suit.
⏳⏳⏳
You pushed your face down into your pillow that night with an angry scowl and a menacing gaze. This was uncalled for. There was no one within the Harkonnen House that would be fit enough for your position; how could your uncle exile you to your home planet and force you to do his bidding without keeping promise of his reward? It made no sense as you were favored over Feyd-Rautha.
You turn over and stare at the ceiling above you. The maids quarters didn't have the skylight that your old room did; a place where you often found solace. It was impossible trying to sleep in the dingy and unkept room that you were expected to and instead you decided that you were angry enough to break the rules and be less cautious.
You were going to sneak back to your old room tonight.
The Atreides family hadn't used it yet to your knowledge. They had busied themselves with the other floors, being quick to set up offices and bedrooms and not having the time for much else. Hawat chose his own room and his training room on the far side of the House which left the upstairs basically uncharted. You would have to be quick throughout the halls as to not be seen, but once you had made it to the skylight room atop the roof, you would be fine for the night.
Slipping past the other sleeping maids, you made your way to the hall and slipped out the door. The night sky shone in through the many windows of the ancient building; the Arrakian moons almost as luminous as the sun. This moonlight allowed you to see as you slipped through the shadows and made your way to the staircase across from the Dining Hall. Being cautious of each step, you silently compiled yourself and your anxieties with sneaking out as you found the room with the only silver handle in the house. It had to be pushed inwards, not turned. You took a deep breath and allowed yourself to enter.
The skylight was the same as you remembered and as you'd figured, there was not a box in sight. The glass dome showed the stars and the moons of your beloved planet and the galaxies far beyond which were sure to be home to many other living creatures out there. You wondered what the extraterrestrials would be like and you shivered at the thought. Slimy and green you muttered to yourself and you laid on the floor, tilting your vision up to the sky.
"Slimy and green?"
You jolted backwards upon hearing another voice within the room. Twisting your body at a weird angle, you instinctively grab at the knife in it's holster and prepare yourself for a battle.
His brown hair was all curled in awkward places; a difference than it's usual contempt state. His lounge wear hugged his body in ways that were meant to provide utmost comfort, but it was clear that the set was too big for him. His eyes shone through the dark with their familiar friendly yet motivated gaze.
"Paul," you said, lowering your guard, "you scared me."
"My apologies, I promise you that it wasn't my intention." He smiled and positioned himself to lay next to you.
"What brings you up here? I figured everyone would be asleep." You asked. It was slightly annoying having to see him everywhere and never having any time to yourself. You always had to put up a front so that you would be able to carry out your duty in the end. It gets exhausting after a while.
"Should I be asking you the same thing?" He grins again and for a split second you could've sworn that he had made a suggestive look downwards. Just as quickly as his gaze was on you, it was back to the stars ahead and his eyes shone with the luminosity of it all.
"Right. I just- found this place the other day. Thought it would look cooler if I went to see it when the sun wasn't up." You lied straight to his face for what seemed like the millionth time that day. How many more lies would you have to tell?
"I come up here occasionally to watch the stars." He said, patting the space next to him to motion you towards the spot you were originally sitting in.
You calmed down and lowered yourself towards the ground next to the boy you were meant to kill. It felt odd knowing that you were playing a nice conversation with someone who would be bloody by your hands within the next couple of days if you played your cards right. You thought about carrying his beautiful head severed from his petite frame to Vladimir and receiving your reward for pleasing him. You thought about the way he would look next to both Jessica and Leto in the horrible graves of the bodies your uncle dumped when he was done profiting off of their murders. You thought about the smell of his ashes as he burned within the ground and joined the night sky that he looked at now.
And Paul thought of you. He'd hate to admit it, but you had taken over his mind lately. Fierce and opinionated, you were a force to be reckoned with. He hadn't met anyone his age nearly as interesting as they had all been too busy with that cursed Bene-Gesserit crap that he'd been forced to learn at such a young age. You were different.
And while you thought of his blood he thought of your lips. The way they would taste against his own and if you'd even like that. He thought of the way you outshone the stars and your intelligence of the cruelties of the world. Two kids forced to grow up too fast. He felt his chest make crazy palpitations; only something that happened when he was around the erratic Ataraxia. The mysterious girl who shrouded herself in the only darkness this planet had to offer. For once, Paul was thankful they had left Caladan.
You looked so beautiful with your hair sprawled out around you and your face tilted towards the glass above. The light brought out the angles of your face so that Paul could see you in a different way; he was used to seeing your skin kissed with the orange glow of the sun and now he could see the same you but with the silver of the moon. Paul wondered if the Fremen's spice dreams were of things just as beautiful.
The timing was almost so perfect you could feel it on your tongue. One hand on your knife, your mind ran crazy with the thoughts of finally being able to kill him. With a quick stab under the ribcage, he would be gone in moments. It would be too difficult of a wound to heal medically, and while he was gasping for air you could slit his throat. He was leaning into you and you were leaning into him. Two strikes would be all it took.
The timing was almost so perfect Paul could feel it on his tongue. One hand inching closer to yours, his mind ran crazy with the thoughts of finally being able to kiss you after thinking about it for so long. With a quick shift to his side, he could execute it fast and meaningfully as he hoped you would feel the same passion as him. It would be difficult to convince his parents to let you be with him and he knew he could be facing a lifetime of troubles if he really decided to be with you. There was just something so alluring about it that he couldn't help himself. You were leaning into him and he was leaning into you. One kiss would be all it took for him to know the truth. Was he in love?
One of you with the intent to kill and the other with the intent to love. Either way, it was a dance with death and the game the two of you were playing was dangerous.
Who's heart was going to break first?
