Hey hey I found a new Nick photo and info about him and Lindy!!! (At least new for me) on an article (below):
“Whilst rummaging through the archives the other day, I came across a couple of amusing little articles, which piqued my interest. The first one is an article from The Farnham Herald, date unknown but by deduction the year is 1967”
“Pink Floyd Man in Flying Visit.
On a flying visit to his native land last week, was Nicky Mason of the Pink Floyd Pop Group (sic), who has been staying with the Rutter family at Millhanger, Thursley. Lindy Rutter has won praise for her choreography of the Farnham Youth Theatre production “Double Take” and for her solo dance which opens the show. She is to teach at Frensham Heights and will also be taking movement classes at RADA.
Nicky has just made an LP with the Pink Floyd, “The Saucerful of Secrets” which is number nine on the LP charts. The group has also recently ended a tour of the USA where they are becoming very popular. The trip took them from New York, through Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle etc, etc and but for the election rumpus in Chicago, they would have made a return trip there.
Nicky spoke to Youth in Action on Friday, the day before he flew to Belgium to take part in a music festival. A busy life and rather different from what he imagined it would be like when a student of architecture at Regent Street Polytechnic, where the Pink Floyd originated three years ago. The group has been professional for about 18 months”
“A quick Google search has since revealed that “Nicky” as he is called here, but now known as Nick Mason, and Lindy were married the following year, 1968, and had two children, before divorcing 20 years later. She is an accomplished flutist. He is the only remaining original member of the famous band. Note how the journalist refers to them as The Pink Floyd! Of course, they are known today as simply Pink Floyd. Another strange twist is that Millhanger was, of course, latterly purchased by Roger Taylor of Queen, who lived there until around 10 years ago”.

I read some people complain about pink floyd fans leaving the fandom, I may have the answer of why:
So, I have been a Beatles fan since I was a child. And there IS SO MUCH information about them.
Want to know what Paul was eating the third of February in 1962? DONE.
Do you want to know what the boys were doing at any given date? Done, you have it.
Photos? Thousands. Books? Thousands. Very intimate information? You can find facts everywhere.
Now Pink Floyd? It’s mostly a mystery. Their private lives, (other than what is out in a few books) photos? Idk I feel like if you’ve been long enough in the fandom you’ve seen them all.
I think people get tired (not of the music) but the lack of information that it’s out there.
What are your theories??

So, a recent string of comments brought me to memory lane.
I was in a Pink Floyd instagram group, (I owned a rock account there) and one day they sent like a naked picture of roger(if its him? anyways you couldn’t see anything) with one of his wives??
MY QUESTION IS HOW DO PEOPLE FIND THIS THINGS???? WHY???? AND HOW DID THE PICS COME OUT? DID HE GAVE THEM TO A FRIEND AND THEN THE FRIEND DECIDED TO POST IT IN SOME SKETCHY BLOG? DID HE GIVE HIS CONSENT FOR THE PIC TO BE ON THE INTERNET? is it really him?
-So many questions and so little answers…

In 2022 I made a Pink Floyd parody fanfic. It was more than that, a piece of shit, to be precise.
BUT, I had laughed so hard while making it, that my delusions fooled me into thinking it was hilarious. Anyways, today after some years I decided to revisit it, unfortunately, and fixed some major typos. Anyways:

My father told me Pink Floyd didn’t come to my country (on David’s era) (though they did never come here😭) because David said that the lights of my whole country would go off with their light show.
Third world country struggles everyone! (I think they could do a show with so many things now. Many bands did.)
Anyways, I wonder If the lights would have actually gone off….
Why there is so little (I would say almost if not non-existent) information about Pink Floyd’s groupies? They obviously had them. Why hasn’t any of them come forward? Are they as mysterious as the band?

The track ‘In The Flesh’ invites the audience to “go to the show” - to come along to the rally and show support before forces mobilise and foment a violent uprising across the streets of London. The band onstage, characterised in live performances of the album by a surrogate band comprised of different musicians adorning life masks of Floyd members Waters, Gilmour, Wright and Mason, replace a Pink that remains ‘comfortably numb’ in his hotel room:
“I've got some bad news for you, sunshine
Pink isn't well, he stayed back at the hotel
And they've sent us along as a surrogate band
We're gonna find out where you fans really stand!”
This uncanny representation of band members is understood to represent the musicians’ surrogacy as agents of ideological repression, insofar as they serve to perpetuate the dominant ideology while also acting as a form of entertainment to keep the subjects enthralled and entertained while, ‘behind the scenes,’ they are in fact complacent in their own oppression through ignorance and acceptance. Taking into account Freud's psychoanalytic consideration of the role of the uncanny, it is recognised that an intentional feeling of discomfort and unfamiliarity actively subverts and disrupts the individual’s understanding of the reality around them. The use of these masks can also be understood to comment on the role of the musician in a capitalist society - by portraying the band members as masked and interchangeable, Waters suggests that musicians are often recognised to be commodified tools of an industry which promotes capitalist ideals of excess and grandeur.
