OKAY OKAY SO. this freak. I CANT PUT TOO MUCH BACKSTORY HERE BC SOME FRIENDS WILL SEE THIS AND THEY PLAY THIS CAMPAIGN SO. LOOK AWAY. FREAKS.
he's unfortunately my least traumatized character this far, but he is FUCKED up. like I feel kinda guilty for how fucked up I made him.
HE HAS HUGE SURVIVORS GUILT because he killed but not killed someone. (he could've saved them but he didn't because sleepy) then he left all his friends out of fear!!!
tried to drive to Vegas after college to find Joan, didn't work. crashed car. dad died back in Tennessee. SO HE GETS A JOB AT A CASINO AND SIGNS A LITERAL SOUL CONTRACT!!
he's totally gonna make this out alive (he is missing a fucking arm. it was his 3rd day)
he also made a deal with a patron of an old god. because. he thinks he's hot. GAY BOY.

OKAY OKAY SO she is a janitor at a hospital that I assume horror stuff will happen in? (please pider be kind to my girl PLEASE.)
SHE IS A CHRONICALLY ONLINE GIRL FROM THE YEAR OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR 2015. she's also one of my rare straight characters. (someone remind me that not everyone is queer coded please) I WANNA GIVE HER A LOVE INTEREST BUT IM JUST NOT SURE ON HIS DESIGN!! she has a little sibling too and she is probably my least traumatized character!!
she loves Tumblr and Myspace and just the internet in general!! she also is a bit of a hikikomori and really struggles leaving her house, but her family helps her with this!! she loves them more than anything. her love interest also is a huge factor with this!!
long story short, she had an online friend group when she was younger that was HELL because of one guy, Kylar. HES A FREAK AND I HATE HIM SO MUCH. but she's good now and that totally won't come back to bite her in the ass!!! totally!!!!!!

SHES A TATTOO ARTIST IN VEGAS IN 2008!! she's my current Call of Cthulhu character's "best friend." (in quotes because of. an interesting explanation.) I LOVE HER SO MUCH SHE IS SO IMPORTANT TO ME. also I have her on my art fight profile because I NEED ART OF HER OMG please if you. want to. I will revenge you I promise guys.
HER AND ELLERY ALSO. Tried. to date. before they realized that they were 1. both trans and 2. a gay man and lesbian woman respectively. Joan was the only one (for a large part of his life) that understood Ellie. (she also gave him that nickname!!) She lived with her sister and took Ellie in after stuff with his dad fell apart. they lived in Tennessee but moved to Nevada for college because Joan had dreams of the night life and big cities. she loves it there! she just wishes she had her best friend by her side.

Pencil drawings I made in 1986 or '87 as handouts for 'The Mauretania', an adventure for the Call of Cthulhu rpg (second edition - published in 'The Asylum & Other Tales'). I modified the adventure quite a bit, as published adventures usually need a bit of bodging. These were essentially images I handed to players when they experienced certain events within the adventure. I also used the same approach when running homebrew adventures.

I dreamed that I was writing an adventure for Delta Green. Or rather, running it, improvising as I went. There was a scene where a character (a child) is sneaking around an empty school, because there is a monster on the second floor of the school. The kid doesn't know it yet, but the monster is a bunch of people stuck together in a slimy heap. He only knows about the monster because of the sounds it makes - like someone slapping a wet mop on the floor.
The school is empty because there is a September 1st assembly going on outside the school. I have no idea if they do something like this in the US, but it was ambiguous whether the adventure was taking place somewhere in the former USSR or somewhere else. It could have been any other event that required all the students to be gathered outside.
There was a clue that the history teacher was telling the kids how before WWII Germany hired people in the USSR for sabotage and they had a secret sign to identify each other - a coin. And he showed this coin. It and the monster were somehow connected. And the child was trying to decide - either to use something from the chemistry class to try to defeat the monster, or not to approach it at all, find a coin and run.
At the same time, another character, also a child, was riding a train and trying to figure out how to send her mother a text message so that she would think it was from her father, who was now on an expedition at a polar station.
Unfortunately I don't know what the context was, but in the dream I really enjoyed watching the player figure out how to do it from a child's point of view.
