Not even as a ghost?” It was a concept that sent a shiver running up her spine. “I’m fairly certain that possessing someone would be considered wrong. At least without consent to do so.”

“Then that’s it. That’s my end.” The words fall far too casually from his mouth and he continues smiling, truly having no worries. “Then don’t.” He shrugged. “Seems like you get hung up on details. Maybe just let it go,” he suggested with a small chuckle.

“And you haven’t bothered to test it out? It seems like the sort of thing one ought to know about themselves.” Didn’t it? She believed so. “That’s…not the most detailed description, but I suppose I sort of understand what you mean.” 

“How do I test that without dying all over again? It’s not a problem anyways so --- better priorities.” He shrugged, finished with the topic. “You possess someone and try to describe how it feels or don’t, I don’t care. i should ask fairy godmother if she could make this body taller,” he mused, losing track of the conversation entirely.

“But you’re not sure?” Though phrased like a question, her tone made clear that it was anything but. That certainly seemed like something one ought to know about themself. “Well, you have to tell me all about what that’s like. I’ve never possessed someone myself. Never really saw the appeal of it.”

“That’s what I said.” The former ghost boy was hardly concerned with details, he had and always would be the reckless type. “Uh --- it’s like putting on a costume but with more feeling.” He chuckled, having no better way to describe the sensation. High or sober, he was no word smith.

“I’m still dead, I can’t stay like this forever, I don’t think so anyways.” He shrugged, very unconcerned about his state of life or afterlife. “It’s more like I’m possessing a body made especially for me.” The wonders of magic. While he would have been perfectly happy to inhabit Auradon in his ghost form, an agreement had been reached that it was better if he was not in such a disfigured form.

As far as any of the spirits back at the mansion are aware, death is a fairly permanent state of being.” It was a concept she simply couldn’t seem to wrap her head around. “I, for one, know that there are several happy haunts who would much rather maintain their lack of life.”
