Y'all need to vote my boy Dazai he's trying hard
this is gonna be controversial
I kinda understand why Mori is so obsessed with Dazai being in the mafia. I mean, if we forgot abt the fact that he's called the Demon Prodigy, and is a genius, there's also something extremely interesting, and useful for Mori : His ability, No Longer Human.
You remember in Yosano's flashbacks, where Mori explained that powers were the new weapons. He said that the samurai disappeared because they did not understand that the era of the sword was over. And that the nations that won were those that managed to transform a simple cannon into a war machine. And today, superpowers lead the way. And that she had to force the hierarchy to open their eyes. Power are the new war machines. Powers are important. They're a part of our society. Yet, a random boy arrives, and erases it. This whole hierarchy. All these powers. He can delete it. He can take away your only means of defending yourself, of knowing, of fighting, he takes away a part of you. For years, people have controlled their power, and a kid not even 15 years old comes along and decides to take that away from you. As long as he's here, as long as you have any physical contact with him, your power won't work. A part of you won't work. As long as he has any contact with your ability, you won't have it. And that's scary. A man, a genius, a demon, is capable of deleting a part of you.
Like, imagine you're an adult, who managed to excel in their power. You are at the top of the hierarchy. And then, a random man erases it. You are now at your lowest. You're trapped. Especially if you based your attacks on your power, you're done.
Dazai arrives to unbalance the hierarchy. His power isn't for fighting. Your power is stronger than him. Yet, he manages to unbalance everything, what you have known, the hierarchy… It's scary af.
I headcanon that Dazai is born in 4:44 AM.
Because “4” is a cursed number. I think it's because it's said the same as the word “death” in Japanese.
I headcanon that Dazai's grandmother was very superstitious. She forbade him from going under a ladder or from petting a black cat, etc. And one day, Dazai wanted to pet a black cat, and she said "Don't pet that cat, or I'll curse you"
And Dazai did it because he didn't give a damn fuck

If Ranpo was a woman headcanon!
1 - I personally think she would look like Yeji Hwang from ITZY. I always imagined her like this.
2 - She wouldn't wear makeup, she's too lazy to do this.
3 - She's popular among guys
4 - Her hair is slightly curly, and it's beautiful. But she straight her hair during an important event because she think that her naturel hair isn't good for important event.
5 - Someone already refused that she's the smartest person in the world because she's a girl.
6 - She looks younger than her age
7 - She's a girls girl
8 - She's friendly with everyone, boy or girl as long as they're respectful
9 - Her hair is long
10 - She buys her clothes in the men's section

Headcanon about Dazai because why not ??
1 - Dazai once tried to sell Kunikida's notebook for 500$, because this man is broke.
2 - Dazai knows Kunikida's notebook by heart, he can even recite it.
3 - Dazai often dream about Odasaku, and how things could have been very different if Dazai arrived earlier.
4 - Dazai actually ignores that Ranpo knows Odasaku, and Ranpo never tells him because he genuinely feels guilty.
5 - Dazai really wants to be a father figure for Atsushi, or at least a brother figure. Because he wants to know how it feels to be proud, even if he needs to be proud of someone else.
6 - Dazai is tried to steal Fukuzawa's wallet.
7 - When he was young, Dazai dissected the insects he killed
8 - He's scared of dogs and spiders, but he's too proud to admit it.
9 - Dazai also sucks at offering gifts, he always says "Why do I need to offer you a gift ? I'm already the best one you can have."
10 - Dazai mimic Odasaku's expression
11 - The reason Dazai became attached to Kunikida was because he and Oda share the same sense of justice, and neither Oda, neither Kunikida wants to see anyone die because/in front of them.

13 - Yosano never authorised Dazai to touch her butterfly pin, since it's from an ability and that Dazai's ability is always actived.

20 - He, once, eats lipgloss to d*e. Expect that Kunikida caught him and Dazai tried to explain. Kunikida didn't wanted to know tho…

Honestly, I'm really sick of all the bsd "hot takes" that are about how torn up Chuuya was when Dazai left the Mafia.
Because no. Just no.
Chuuya wasn't "torn up". He might have been a bit pissed and he probably missed him a lot more than he'd like to admit. But it didn't tear him up, it didn't break him down, he didn't feel abandoned. He downed a bottle of Petrus, passed out, and woke up the next day and got back to work. Over the next four years he cried, he broke shit, and pursued dark haired one night stands, but ultimately he had a life he continued on with.
Now Dazai? Isolated and alone, grieving Oda, and in hiding from the organization he'd been with for nearly 4 years? Dazai, without missions and targets? He was taking it much harder. Not in emotional heartbreak, that's not quite Dazai, but he does think of Chuuya in his 2 years of isolation a lot more than Chuuya thinks of him in his own 4 years of Dazai being off the radar.
Mori: I think there is something between the two of you.
Chuuya: A knife?
Dazai: A gun?
Mori: Sexual tension.
Ango: The horrible things you do are starting to make me believe you are the spawn of the devil, Dazai.
Dazai: I mean there was that time I got itchy near a crucifix…
Ango:….
Oda: That was when you had bed bugs.
