HELP LMFAO

yet another thing for me to add to my cybertruck rant HAKDJDKDJD

also yet again something that is a standard for cars that they didn’t want to include and/or that they didn’t care about enough to include 😭

Have you ever looked closely at a car windshield?

The edge of the glass is painted where it is glued to the car but it has these small dots between the clear and painted glass.

These are there for a reason. When the sun hits the glass the painted areas and the clear areas will absorb heat at different rates. This causes the glass to expand and contract differently putting stress on the glass.

These dots help the glass to warm up more evenly over a larger area so the glass does not suffer stress that could cause it to spontaneously explode.

Fun fact: the Tesla cybertruck doesn’t have these.

Yes, the glass will spontaneously crack or explode in the sun.

i seriously don’t understand why it’s being advertised as this like apocalypse truck and why people want that??

sure it may be able to keep you safe sometimes but it still has so many serious safety hazards ( hence why as of yesterday they’ve been recalled EIGHT times since they started getting delivered in November 2023 💀 ). like in a hypothetical apocalypse i would not trust this truck to not instantly go up in flames the second a fly lands on it or it gets any water on it LMFAO

and also why are we thinking there’s gonna be an apocalypse?? why do we need a car that can survive something that’s just not even real?? 😭

and if people would just think about it for a second, why would windows that takes firefighters 12+ hits to break through be something that you would want in a car?? sure it may be bulletproof but that’s a huge safety hazard if you get into an accident and they need to get you out of the truck

also who out here needs a bulletproof car that isn’t like a government official or someone adjacent to that line of work?? 😭 i know some areas may be more unsafe than others and i understand that, but what’s happening is people are just buying these trucks to be “cool”, buying them to support elon musk, buying them as a show of status and to show off “how much money they have” and etc shit

i’ll tell you what you have! you have a dumpster fire of a truck that puts you and other drivers on the road ( and pedestrians! ) at risk! let me just go down the list real quick of some of the safety hazards of the cybertruck

the reasons for the physical recalls: the accelerator pedal cover barely being secure and getting lodged under the part in front of the pedal which can force drivers to floor it, MULTIPLE parts of the paneling having the potential to fall off due to being just barely glued onto the truck, the motor of the windshield wiper having the potential to fail and fall off and more stuff ( along with all the other recalls for software things that have had updates sent out for them and etc recalls )

the truck itself is built in such a way that it doesn’t crumple well, which if you knew anything about physics you would know that that’s actually dangerous for everyone involved if there’s an accident. cars are made to crumple in order to absorb force from the crash, so that not as much force gets passed onto the passengers. which. the cybertruck not being able to crumple well is. o.O

the panels on the sides of the windshield partially block your view to your right and left, and the rear view mirror is useless if you have the back cover down because it just. completely obstructs your view, and then if the camera they have in place of the rear view mirror gets even slightly dirty or if it’s raining it just becomes completely unusable ( apparently they also fought to not have side mirrors on the truck because they didn’t like how they looked, though don’t quote me on that because i haven’t researched that part that much )

the headlights are pointed up instead of at the ground so it’s more difficult for the driver to see the ground at night plus it blinds other drivers on the road ( especially with those auto brights that cars are now having which don’t always work well and will just blind everyone else on the road )

okay i’m gonna stop myself here cause i Will just keep going if i don’t LMFAO there’s so much more i can talk about with the cybertruck but if i don’t stop myself this post is gonna end up being a whole ass essay 💀

anyways uh yeah long story short ( too late ) this is why i’m notorious in all of my friend groups for my hatred of cybertrucks LMAO

( also please don’t take anything i say as a definite fact, i always try to be as accurate as i can be when talking about this stuff but don’t take everything i say as fact without doing some research yourself!!! and please do correct me if i got anything wrong <3 )

*bleeding to death because the paramedics can’t break the windows to get me out of my stupid fucking truck* heha well at least i dont have to worry about the friggin Zombie Apocalypse… awesomesauce 😎

update: the cybertruck rant has gotten longer 😭 i will write a full essay on the cybertrucks at some point yall i swear 🙏

that’s not even all i have about the cybertruck that was just the stuff i’ve heard about recently i have so much more about the cybertruck that’s dumb my brain is just not working today so stay tuned for more 👍

keep in mind that i am not at all a car person and that i could be completely wrong about some of these things

i love the fact that one of the main selling/advertising points of the cybertruck is that it’s “bulletproof”

and i understand that it could help in some situations but like

it’s also just not bulletproof 😭 like i’ve seen videos of people testing it out and it’ll just go right through the cybertruck 😭

also with the material that they make it out of it’s incredibly sharp??? like people just get cut on it just opening the door?? also i remember seeing something about either the truck or frunk closing in a way that could insanely injure someone if they got their hand or fingers stuck in it

tesla ( or telsa as i call them ) did try to fix it so that if the truck or frunk tries to close and it senses that anything is in the way that it would bounce back up, but you see the thing is

every time after that it will try to close harder and harder

which is just really dangerous??? i saw a video of a guy who was testing it out and he got his finger stuck for a bit in the trunk or frunk and its just rrrgggg its not really that much of a fix if it makes it more dangerous, plus it shouldn’t have closed that hard originally anyways???

welp that took longer than i meant to and my brain isn’t working today so i have no idea if any of that makes sense 😭
