Arthur: Never question your wife's choices. Remember, you were one of them.
Remus: That is exactly why I question her choices.
Percy is autistic but was not diagnosed until he was twenty-three, which was when he began attending a muggle psychologist for the war (the man was a squib)
She also kept her autism totally a secret, mainly because she hasn't even processed that she has the disorder
Fred is alive, but most of us have that headcanon
Ron enjoys being taller than the twins, because they can be two against one, but he is a head tall.
The 6 brothers have agreed that they had never seen their mother so angry, like when she found out that Percy smoked
Percy once found a box of old clothes in the attic, this turned out to be clothes from her uncles Fabian and Gideon. She tried it on, having no idea about this and when I come down to lunch, Molly started crying, because Percy was the spitting image of her brothers
Charlie has a dragon skin jacket that he never wears, because he was given it as a gift and he would rather not wear the skin of the animals that he cares for.
The Weasleys only found out about Percy's autism, because he had an autistic breakdown, it must be said that after that everyone made sure to investigate everything they could about autism, so they could help Percy if something like a breakdown happened again
Ron lived in an apartment in muggle london with Harry and Hermione during the post-war years.
Arthur like percy is autistic but was not diagnosed until molly researched autism and saw that many of the autism symptoms fit both percy and arthur
George and fred took some courses on medimagia after the war
After the war, the extended Weasley family enjoys playing Quidditch every Sunday in the morning.
Percy is in a relationship with Oliver
Percy and oliver adopted molly and lucy, and fred and george are their godparents respectively, while their godmothers are katie bell and angelina jonhson
Bill enjoys telling Muggle stories about the Egyptian pyramids, to children, and everyone loves Uncle Bill's stories, because he knows many illusion spells to make it look like they are inside a real pyramid.
Harry and Hermione managed to buy a movie player, to watch Muggle movies in the burrow
When teddy was little he used to wear his hair the same shade of red as the weasleys since he spent a lot of time in the burrow
He has heterochromia, while the eyes of the rest of the Weasleys are blue or brown, those of Percy are bluish in color quite close to looking gray.
You started smoking because of stress. But he is very careful about hiding his tobacco smell
Prefers coffee over tea especially because it will help you stay awake longer
He's bisexual but he spent a lot of time in the closet and when I say a lot I mean that his internalized homophobia was the size of Hogwarts
He is the tallest weasley, he is 6.5, the second tallest is Ron with 6.2, which bothered the rest of the brothers a lot, why did Percy and Ron have to be favored by genetics?
When he goes out with his brothers, more than one girl has told him that his eyes are very pretty, this makes him turn red and stutter a thank you. Bill, charlie and ginny find it quite funny, on the other hand fred and George don't understand what the girls see Percy and Ron just ignores him
He made some pranks during Hogwarts he was never caught because who would think that the perfect prefect that is percy weasley would prank someone?
When percy was 13, Arthur came home with a walkman that did not work, percy managed to fix it and kept the cassette which had the complete album of queen's she heart attack so his taste for muggle music began
His clothing style is usually loose jeans, shirts and sweaters but Oliver once convinced him to wear a black shirt, a leather jacket and jeans. Needless to say, Oliver took him to a muggle disco? And percy probably never got so many phone numbers in one night
Yes, he knows how to use a telephone, he was the one who was in charge of teaching Ron how to use it.
He is damn good at flying a broomstick, he probably could have played Quidditch professionally but when he was 10 he read the statistics of accidents in Quidditch matches and he didn't like them since then he usually avoided playing the sport
he chose his first glasses because they looked like Arthur's
his eyesight is equal to or worse than harry's, why does his 6-year-old's me think it was a good idea to read at night?
He had the same glasses since he was 7 they just used an enlargement spell when they started to get small
The first thing he did when he received his first salary from him was go get his eyesight checked and buy some new glasses
his patronus is a German Shepherd
He has insomnia, normally he would spend all night watching TV until he had to go to work and then he would live on coffee for the rest of the day and that would be his routine until Oliver went to see him and realized how little he I was sleeping percy
Of the 6 brothers percy is the one that most resembles the prewett twins
Weasleys 🍂 exploring some different coloring styles, hmm, not really sure what I think about the result
So I think that teddy and Vic kind of were dating when they were your very much puppy love when Rita skeeter wroote the paper she did on them snoggging. I think they broke up after like a year still messed around with each other (friends with benefits) they were actually really good friends that went to each other all the time yes some awkwardness at first obvi. Then during the kings cross scene not totally together they agree to hold off but everything came to one big explosion once she’s finished at Hogwarts of life’s gonna be in our way whether or not we’re at school or a job or whatever else, we’re either together or we’re not and the rest is history
Do you guys thing birth control work on magic folks like if hermione we’re taking a muggle prescribed birth control would it actually protect her from being pregnant or would she have to take a wizarding world birth control
Real world questions
albus severus potter doesnt exist. HOWEVER arthur l. rubeus potter does exist and he goes by al and idk what the l stands for but it is important to me that harry didnt name his son after dumbledore and snape and completely disregarded ginny's father and BASICALLY HIS OWN FATHER LIKE CMON HARRY DID YOU SERIOUSLY FORGET ABOUT HAGRID

Remus never felt so completely and utterly lost in his whole life before. He didn’t intend to tell anyone about the part, that’s tearing him apart and yet he’s sitting on the soft cushion of a chair, that belongs to no one other than the Weasleys. Like now, in quiet moments of reflection, he feels tears spring into the corner of his eyes and he quickly wipes away the ones, that have unknowingly begun to fall down his face. The room is silent, except for a kettle, which is quietly cooking on the kitchen stove. Through the open window, he can smell the cold autumn wind. It drifts over his head and when he closes his eyes, he comes up. Again and again, he comes to him and the once loved memories, the ones he now so despises, come crashing over him and ripple throughout his body.
"I never felt about anyone, the way i feel about you," Sirius says, thumb caressing Remus' cheek as they lie on the bed in their shared apartment. He’s tucked into Sirius' lap, resting his head against his chest how he did on that fateful day. "Nothing in the universe will ever tear us apart."
How wrong Sirius had been, Remus thinks. Swallowing, his eyes close tightly and he tries to find a way to drown his thoughts out. Sirius is gone and all he left him with is his crumpled heart. How could he join Voldemort’s side and betray both James and Lily? It feels as if he’s always on the verge of waking up from a bad dream and sometimes, when it all becomes unbearable, he thinks about giving up. Falling apart at the seams, knowing he’ll never be who he once was, but there’s a whole other side that he’s desperately holding on to. The part he fell in love with. The side of him that created a ‘happily ever after’ in his head. But then the realization hits. The realization, that it’s all been an act. He loves and was never loved back and the hardest part of this process is trying to reconcile the two seemingly polarised sides.
Before he was alone. Distracted by his own thoughts and emotions, but now, two figures stand by, observing quietly from the shadows. Molly Weasley gazes down upon him with concern and quiet understanding. The wonder of what to say lives in her mind. She startles slightly, as the teakettle begins to whistle and a few seconds later, the face of her husband comes into sight. Remus seems slowly return to reality, as Arthur Weasley kneels down with a cup of freshly brewed tea and eyes him worryingly.
“Remus -”
The silence lingers, the voice numbing his senses. He glances around before reaching for the cup.
“Thank you.. Arthur,” Remus whispers.
The tea soothingly warms him from the inside and it’s almost too much. He has gotten so used to the newfound cold within.
“Are you alright? Is there something you need?” The concern drips in Molly’s voice and Remus frowns. His wounded self screams at the back of his head. They don’t understand. He’s been hurt in ways, he never excepted to be hurt and there’s no way out.
“I’m fine,” he mutters instead. A sad smile curving his lips.
Molly just continues to look him concerningly due to her well known nurturing and caring nature. She and Arthur give each other a silent look and a nod before she leaves and Arthur takes seat in the chair opposite from Remus.
“You have to make something out of all these feelings within you,” Arthur speaks up. His voice is silent and raw and the fact that he sees him in such a vulnerable state, makes Remus' heart swell.
“Have you thought about writing him a letter?”
Remus takes a while to answer, too taken aback by his suggestion. A letter? How could he factor all his anger and frustration into just a mere letter? Besides, Sirius doesn’t care. He never cared. He took everyone down with him and did it on purpose.
“Well... i don’t know how,” Remus finally says with a shake of his head.
He feels Arthur’s big and warm hand on his arm, grounding him. His dark blue eyes full of concern.
“Write to him.”
Remus eyes stay fixed on him, feeling that Arthur isn’t wiling to let this go. He notices a tightness throughout his body and he didn’t even realize, that he had been tensing up and holding his breath.
“He betray-” Remus stops mid sentence. His heart pounding in his chest and tears burning in his eyes. “You don’t think there’s a chance that he could be innocent, do you?”
Arthur clears his throat. “I refused to believed it at first, but witnesses saw him... twelve Muggles.. an extremely powerful explosive curse....”
To hear it out loud, makes Remus fall still, eyes slowly closing.
“You have to free some of the anger and hurt, that lingers inside you. I can see it’s killing you,” Arthur says in a soft voice.
Remus looks up and nods, knowing that it’s true. He knows that Arthur is right and that all the memories inside his heart could break him in half. Shatter him.
“If there’s a way, i’ll write him. I’m sorry for -”
“Don’t apologize. You have nothing to apologize for,” Arthur interrupts him, while he shifts slightly in his chair. “Prisoners are usually not permitted to correspond with the outside world, but i'll talk to Dumbledore. You can use Asora, our owl, as well. Don't hesitate to ask us anything.”
Remus heart almost burst with untold affection for this man. “Thank you. For everything,” he says.
The slight hint of a smile he receives in return, makes him forget everything for a mere few seconds and Remus knows to treasure it well. Sincere or forced, it mattered little — The gesture was appreciated all the same.
“Anytime.”
He feels his heart unclench. A few minutes of silence pass by, until Remus gently nods towards the door.
“I better be leaving. It’s been a long day.”
He gets up off the chair and before he heads out the door, he gives Arthur a quick hug.
"Say thank you to Molly for me."
"I'll. Just keep holding on, Remus. We’re waiting for you."
With a tiny hint of a smile on his lips, he slips through the doorway and lets the sweet cold air reach his lungs. Arriving at home, alone, he warms himself in front of the fireplace, where a bright and cozy fire burns. It’s been a long day and all he wants, is some peace and quiet, but Remus feels a restlessness he can’t shake. Nothing is bothering him. No sound, no smell, nothing. Everything is calm, except him. Slowly, his eyes drift to his writing desk. Though his body doesn’t want to move, keeping still seems an impossible task. Finally, he just gives up, sits down at his desk and pulls out a jar of ink and some paper.

To Sirius Black
November 12th 1981
It’s almost impossible to forget you.
Your absence and betrayal is the most painful thing i had to ever go through. Being so close and watching you disappear hurts the most. James and Lily are dead because of you. How could you, Sirius? I’ve been lied to by the person, who has always treated me with the most daring respect, who listened to my interests and even for a little while, made me feel and know love in a way that no one else ever has. How could i’ve been so blind? I can’t take it anymore. I wish to depart so far and free. Is it easier to stay? Is it easier to go?
Truth is, shatter my heart and soul, i never wish to see you again. Sometimes, i long to feel the same one more time, but it hurts. My soul is frozen and there’s no sun to warm it.
You weren’t just a star to me, you were my whole damn sky.
I love you, but i hate you so much. You’re nothing but a liar, making us think that the friendship and love we shared was real and then you turn your back on us and betray us in such a vile manner. Your sins will never be forgotten.
Everything reminds me of you. Your scent is a sweet felony. Sometimes i wonder, if i'll ever fall in love again. I wonder what it would look like. How would i act? Is it the same as the first time? Or more cautious? I’m curious. I have this feeling, that i want to feel it again, but i don't at the same time. I’ve been hurt so deeply and i wish you a lifetime of coming to terms with the pain you caused. I hope you can live with yourself, even though i wish you’re constantly reminded of what you’ve done.
Farewell, Sirius.
Remus
There's a sinking feeling in his chest as he finishes the letter. For a while, he remains emotionless in his seat, while he processes every syllable.
His own words bring him to tears and suddenly it all seems too blurred in the way that his heart sinks everytime he thinks of Sirius in their bed. Waiting for someone who will never be his, who will never come to him. He picks the letter, reads it a second time and his salty tears burn the little scar, that rests on his chin. He goes to bed on an empty stomach that night, crying until his pillows are soaked.

Does it bug anybody else that people always get the Weasley’s eye colors wrong? If you’re not quite sure what their eye colors are, here’s some helpful info for ya.
-Molly Weasley has brown eyes, a trait that she passed on to her daughter Ginny and her twin sons Fred and George.
-Arthur Weasley has blue eyes, which he passed on to his son Ron.
It isn’t mentioned in the book what color the other Weasley’s eye colors are. But Harry states in the fourth book that Charlie looks like the twins (shorter and stockier then Ron and Percy) which means that these three take after their mom.
Thus it is more then likely that Charlie has brown eyes.
Ron, Percy and Bill are also grouped together by Harry who says that they are the long and lanky ones of the family. Which makes them like their father.
Meaning both Percy and Bill have blue eyes as their father and youngest brother do.
There you have it, some of the Weasley family members have blue eyes while others have brown. Here’s a recap based on my assumptions in the book:
Arthur Weasley = blue eyes Ron Weasley = blue eyes Percy Weasley = blue eyes Bill Weasley = blue eyes Molly Weasley = brown eyes Ginny Weasley = brown eyes Fred Weasley = brown eyes George Weasley = brown eyes Charlie Weasley = brown eyes
Thanks for reading this and please take these things into consideration when writing your next wonderful fanfic.
Christmas of 1971 was rather busy for Arthur and Molly as they welcomed their firstborn, William Arthur Weasley, about a month earlier.
Despite exhausting and knowing that little Bill won't be able to appreciate his surroundings, Molly still made sure to decorate the house.
Of course, it was obvious for Arthur that his wife grabbed onto her usual Christmas routine like a lifeline. All the changes in the past year were stressful enough and, of course, it's going to get easier eventually. But for now, he let her enjoy a moment aside from being a mom and made sure to not burst Molly's holiday bubble as long as it was possible with a newborn baby.

whats your opinion on percy weasley? i'd love to see him get fleshed out more in your rewrite!
You know, originally, I didn’t care much for him. But the other day someone asked for my opinions on the Weasleys (check it out here), and a discussion on Percy surged from there.
Now, I think that because Percy was a kid born when things were most intense in the war, there’s got to be a lot of repressed trauma. Like, Molly and Arthur already had Bill and Charlie, so that’s three kids they needed to protect from everything. Three kids who didn’t understand what was happening and why Mom and Dad are always so paranoid and stressed and exhausted. I talk about some of this here.
I think Molly taught her kids to be quiet at all times, especially when hiding, and to be obedient because otherwise bad things can happen. And I think Percy was the most obedient and quiet of the three, and he was often praised for it. But then, when the war ended, he got stuck in the war mindset.
While the world was slowly moving on and mending itself, Percy continued being the perfectly quiet and obedient child who followed the rules down to a T. His older brothers didn’t have time to dwell on the past, they were too busy helping Molly around the house, and the younger ones never had to experience what they did, not really, anyway.
So he gets made fun of when he fusses over the rules, or when he brags about his accomplishments (which I think he does because now he’s not being praised as much as he used to, and is now desperately competing with his siblings for that kind of attention), or when he says that he wants to work in the Ministry.
SO, I think I’m going to have Percy have that big fight with his parents, but I want to also find a way to make them understand that he wasn’t entirely wrong—his execution could’ve been better—but he was also hurting and he was very determined. He wanted to do good, he believed in the Ministry, whom he watched clean the streets after the war.
I think that’s it for now, any more ideas are welcomed :)
EDIT: I also want Percy to end up with Oliver Wood because I’ve been shipping them for so long and they’d just be an awesome couple. PERCIVER FOR LIFE!!
What's your opinion on each of the Weasleys?
Hi! That’s a really great question! I might be adding some headcanons into the mix, hope that’s okay.
Bill Weasley: I had a major crush on him when I was younger, he was just so badass. I still like him, but now I focus on Fleur. Anyway, I picture him as a third-parent because the oldest kids (especially in big families like his) are always plunged into the responsibilities of caring for the younger ones when the parents are unavailable for any reason.
Charlie Weasley: He’s asexual, you can’t tell me otherwise. I also had a Charlie phase when I first read about him, mostly because of his dragons. I think he was also forced into the responsibility of being yet another parent, but perhaps not as much as Bill. I also think he intentionally decided to be far from his family, not because he doesn’t love them or anything, but perhaps because home got overwhelming.
Percy Weasley: There’s a lot of controversy here. I don’t think about him much, but I relate to him in some ways. I think he was feeling forgotten. In a big family, the kids are constantly fighting for the spotlight, for the love and praise of their parents. But then, when you add Harry to the mix, it just becomes impossible to get your parents to listen for a minute. I think he got lost in his search for validation, though in no way do I think he’s way of handling it was correct.
Fred Weasley: Everyone says that he’s the harsher twin, that he’s the leader, and honestly, I see it. I do think he was extremely sensitive, despite the way he behaves in public. Like you insult something he’s already self-conscious about and he’ll cut you down with words, but he’ll also sulk about it for the rest of the day.
George Weasley: He’s my favorite. Solely because of the immense post-war potential now that he only has one ear. I feel like people should realize that this is the perfect opportunity to introduce the Deaf community into the wizarding world. (Am I self-portraying here? Yes, yes I am). George Weasley talking in sign language? Sign me up!
Ron Weasley: I don’t understand why so many people dislike him. He was an amazing friend to Harry, he was brave, he was loyal, he was just awesome. I think a lot of people saw him get jealous a few times and clung to it. He’s one of the youngest kids in his family, the pressure is insane especially because of all the accomplishments each of his siblings have. Cut him some damn slack.
Ginny Weasley: The movies destroyed her. She was incredibly badass throughout the entire series and I loved her. One thing I will complain about is the way she treated Fleur for no reason. Like, sweetie, your internalized misogyny is showing. Other than that, loved her. Also I have this headcanons where she shaves her hair off after the war, and Molly completely flips because her daughter had such pretty hair.
Molly Weasley: She was, by no means, a perfect mother. There’s a lot of things I really didn’t like about her (like the way she never bothered to differentiate her twins), but I never doubted her love and devotion to her kids. Plus she was such an angel when it came to Harry, she was just what the poor guy needed.
Arthur Weasley: Please don’t kill me, but I’m very neutral about him. He’s a good father, of course, but I personally don’t feel any kind of attachment to the man, I don’t know why.
I think I’ve got all the Weasleys, whew! Thank you, Anon, for the question. It was fun to answer 💜
Can't believe they didn't add Percy on Weasley family picture. I know that the quest is available from year 3, but in four out of five years yo can complete it he is right here in Hogwarts, and there isn't even a line in dialogs explaining why he's not talking a picture.
I like to think that all the Weasleys are overprotective over Harry. Like, almost violently overprotective.
I mean, here’s a small boy who lands in your lap, becomes good friends with Ron, and is altogether very sweet. Then they find out he was abused as a child by his aunt and uncle because his parents were killed in front of him as a baby.
In the background, Fred and George definitely cracked a few skulls for him (and Harry would have never noticed because he’s the most oblivious child ever).
Harry: Don’t worry about me looking at other women in the streets my wife will do that for me
Ginny: Damn straight I will
Harry: Don’t you mean gay?
Ginny: Sorry. Damn gay I will
Ginny: Better?
Harry: Much
Ginny: *pisses off Ron (naturally)*
Harry: Gin say sorry
Ron:
Ginny:
Ginny: *rolls eyes* unfuck you or whatever
Harry Potter was the Weasley’s sugar daddy argue with a wall
Alastor Moody is, of course, a difficult character to think back on because most of our experiences with him--weren’t actually him
Regardless, he was still an important character, one of the few characters who was in the Order of the Phoenix during both Wizarding Wars. A brave and skilled wizard he was also a good judge of character (Igor Karkaroff), giving (Tonks was his protégé) and he didn’t care too much about what others thought of him—only considering the opinion of those he deemed worthy.
What I think most about him, is he gives us a glimpse into some mental illness, disillusion and how Ron would be in his later years with PTSD. Even as a high-ranking Auror, people mostly avoided him as he had become a bit paranoid
Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t after you
after all his years serving as an Auror and all those he had put away. He had limited friends he felt he could trust and had shown to have many scars showing all he had been thru. In the brief moments with him, he showed to be sentimental and trying to form human connections where he could and appreciating them: giving Harry the original Order of the Phoenix photo and his relationship with Tonks
PS Very glad Harry worked to get his eye back
As you can probably could tell by the heart, I could go on for a while about how wonderful Arthur Wealsey is as a father, a man, a husband and a human being in general. So let’s start with his picture, as dignified as he is and commanding as much respect and honor as the world can offer (that will never be enough)
The main things I want to focus on with Arthur is how he was as a father and husband, and how much he just loved the world.
As a father and husband, Arthur is the gold standard as well as a gold standard in human being all around. First in regards to fatherhood, his children adored him and he was part of their rock that was him and Molly. Yes, he caved, a lot. He was the good guy to Molly’s bad cop, that’s just who they were, but that’s not why they adored him, admired him and gave him that look of “oh brother” whenever he went on a rant or couldn’t figure something out; Arthur loved his children unconditionally, 100%. Something that is much less common than realized. Bill and Percy at banks and in government, sure; Charlie chasing Dragons and growing out his hair, Fred and George experimenting and taking risks...just be safe! He loved and supported his children with whatever they wanted to do and it just makes him so endearing and heart warming. Plus, while we didn’t see it much, we know he did the same with Molly, even thou he couldn’t scare the way she could, he would back her up (when he could control himself) and also knew how to calm her down, without “calming her down”.
Thirdly, Arthur was an outstanding role model for being a fabulous human being, and a man. While gender based stereotypes are outside my preference, it is noted that strong, positive male models are crucial for girls and boys growing up. And Arthur exemplified all of these by showing how his children could be sensitive and be excited, being supportive and caring with his wife, and being caring to others with how he and Molly took in Harry as their own and did what he knew was right and holding onto the truth and his convictions with his job long before and even during Voldemort’s return--> he was on Umbridge’s list for a reason!!
While always seen by some as a joke and good for a laugh by all, the one who laughed the most at Arthur was himself. While mostly fixed on Muggle items (and separately the respect he had for those who lived and survived and engineered without magic--> told you there would never be enough time), Arthur loved the entire world around him. He enjoyed life, learning new things, going to new places and always wanted to test himself. Similarly to Hermione who always wanted to learn and mostly did so from books, Arthur always was up for a new experience, new adventure, and to learn by doing and mastering.
I always will love Arthur Weasley for the honest and compassionate person that he is. One in a million, Molly is just as noble, kind and brilliant and it is not mystery to why they fit so well and raised such an impeccable group of children.
I went back and forth with doing a “what I learned from Bill Weasley” because I feel like I barely know Bill. This is especially apparent in comparison with the rest of the Weasleys (sorry Charlie--ha). I know he’s a good son and husband. A werewolf and a hard worker. But not so much of Bill, as Bill.
But, while we don’t learn much about Bill directly, he does remind us of some things quite prominently. From his relationship with Fleur, we are reminded that relationships are deeper than appearances, the importance of being a good person and son with his relationship with his parents (and especially his mother), and from his experiences with Goblins and at Gringotts the importance of deep respect and politeness. Finally, do not be a prat. as he was so excited to join his mother at Hogwarts to wish Harry good luck before the third task of the Triwizard tournament.
So thank you Bill, we might barely know you, but you still have taught us well.
Marauders era reimagined (part 2)
part 1
