anya, looking shocked: How- it’s not from a cartoon. (She is thinking of a cartoon, where someone says “you found out my secret! Die!”)
saiki: you’re replaying the episode in your head right now.
6: saiki: it seems like a better show than cyborg ciderman no. 2 at least.
anya: cyborg ciderman?
saiki: don’t watch that either.
anya: if you don’t like telling people about it (his telepathy)… do some people already know?
7: saiki thinks of his mom, aiura, toritsuka, and akechi.
saiki: a couple classmates, my family. some found out on their own.
Anya: how did it go?
8: saiki: maybe a little too well. they never stop bugging me now.
anya: really?
saiki: really.

*MANGA SPOILERS AHEAD*
Many have often noted that Damian’s intuitions about Anya and her family are often correct, even when they appear to be a six year old’s whimsical thoughts like Anya being able to read minds and whether her parents are assassins.
But not only that, he clearly knows Anya better than she knows herself. In the chapter where Anya receives her second Tontritus Bolt covering for Damian, the little boy imagined what Becky and Anya would say to him if he let Ewen get a Bolt in his stead. In his mind, Anya would call him a lot of mean names related to butts and snot. Anya meanwhile thinks she would never say such things to/ about Damian…
… and yet. When Anya imagines how she would defend Damian from being expelled due to her shenanigans, her plan involved calling Damian a piece of crap.
Damian is right about Anya. Of course she would call him butthead and snot-nosed jerk. Because she has the taunt vocabulary of a four year old, and because she’s one of the two kids at Eden - Becky being the other - who absolutely do not care that he’s the Second Son of Donavan Desmond, and just happily throw silly insults at him.
Damian knows Anya, because the little boy has obviously been watching her closely. For very important reasons that have nothing to do with whatever he feels for her - wait! he feels nothing for her!… But Damian also knows Anya and her personality and quirks because those are the traits he likes about her. She sees him as a butthead, a snot-nosed jerk, a piece of crap etc. and not just as the scion of the Desmond family, even as she calls him Second Son. She would always be brutally honest with him when he’s being a jerk because she is kind, and actually looks out for her friends. She makes him want to become a better version of himself, and not an obnoxious version of Donovan Desmond’s second son.
And so, as much as Anya can read everything running through Damian’s head, he is the one who knows her, and not the other way round. And that’s very sweet.
i think loid should laugh for real and catch everyone off guard when he does 😤 and i do think bond looking goofy would set him off bc (yall know)
this was a commission for a very cool, patient person (you know who you are)! seriously I took forever on this but it’s finally DONE! thank you for commissioning me, i really enjoyed making this comic and im happy with how it turned out 🥺🙏

Imagine the following: Damian knows that Anya can read minds and one day he decides to be nice and only think of kind things about her....except that it's the new moon so naturally Anya wouldn't notice.
He'd spend the whole day giving her compliments in his mind, getting all flustered in the process AND will assume that Anya is ignoring him on purpose cause she's mad at him 😭
