I’m not sure what would happen afterwards but I’m 100% sure Luke would get back safely because Aemond would just be standing there awkwardly like “I didn’t think he’d do it! And damn why doesn’t this eye for an eye thing make me feel better???”
I tried to imagine what type of armor Aemond would wear and this is what I came up with ⚔️
It wanted it to be sturdy while still allowing him to move freely, and the color palette to stay in the black, gold and green tones that characterize his family.

Drogo is massaging and oiling his daughters hair, danys is already braided and she’s letting the oil work it’s magic, and waiting to braid her daughters hair. She looks over and notices aemond creeping closer and closer to them, being very subtle (he’s not), asking questions on what they’re doing. She knows that this boy is going to be her son in law so she just shoves him into drogos arms so he can get his hair done next. That boy would just be catatonic to have his future father in law touching his hair, even worse when he asks him questions about himself, his interests, wants to spar with him one day. He’s trying not to preen at the touches.
It gets worse when his hair is oiled and dany sits behind him to braid it. No hate to Alicent but she’s not the best mother, and aemond nearly dies when he experiences true motherly love. Dany also asks him questions about himself, his ambitions, maybe even asks him for his opinion on a crown matter. Poor man is in absolute heaven, he’s never leaving, might get down and propose then and there.
Another girl dad drogo take. His daughter tells him that helaena loves bugs, he takes it upon himself to bring her bugs when he knows that he’ll see her.
i know a lot of ppl might say that aemond would find drogo completely terrifying, but i feel like he would admire the fuck outta him. like at a “oh fuck mom i wanna be like HIM” level.
let’s talk about it now:
aemond prides himself at being a warrior, a soldier, a skillful and intellectual swordsman, a sort of man that would never hesitate to enter the battlefield. he spent the rest of his boyhood training, honing his skills, studying, and becoming this absolute menace. and here’s this dothraki khal, a warlord with such a badass reputation and cool culture and not to mention being the father of his crush.
like aemond would eat that shit! dude would be DROOLING. imagine if he witnessed drogo tearing out a throat. no sword, no knives, just his bare hands. he’d be in the courtyard the next day like “teach me teach me teach me”
don’t get me started on dany and aemond. dany will look at alicent and say “those two [points to aemond and helaena] are mine now. ah, no argument. you can stay with … that one. yeah him. but those two are mine, i’ll serve you the adoption papers on the morrow.”
aemond has zero complaints, and helaena is too busy playing with the exotic bugs drogo brought her.
If you see me getting manipulated by this man, leave me alone because this is EXACTLY where I'm meant to be.

And STILL many people are saying he was a dumb king! Even with him not recieving any preparation, his ideas would've eliminated the biggest problems that the Greens are facing now.

like obviously the team black/team green divide is stupid and missing the point of the dance and like obviously the show is written with a rhaenyra bias but likeeeeeee. HOW can you not be endlessly compelled by how irretrievably doomed the team green kids are. how can you not be intrigued and endeared by how narratively fucked these poor stupid teenagers are. pov: you were born to be a weapon in a civil war started by people who don’t care about you. that is the reason for your existence. you are obviously fated to die young and tragic and everybody knows it. you are a team green kid.
honestly tho they so would like yes they have a dysfunctional family but they care about each other they'd do a lot for each other, and like they want me to believe that show aemond is aemond from the book like I'm sorry but that is two diffrent people so glad the shows it's own canon and the books are their own canon

As a young woman i know that i wouldn't make a good mother, and i knowladge that. This is why i don't plan to have childeren.
I think this is why i sympathize with Alicent so much.
I feel like she know she wasn't ready to be a mother, even when she was a adult she wasn't ready but she became a mother at 16, the very same age with me and now she has four kids.
I am not saying her abusing her kids was right, if i were her i would try my best to be a good mother and i think this was her trying her best to be a good mother. Unfortunatly she didn't know better
