Suriel appreciation post

I miss the Suriel SO MUCH

Like in the first 3 Acotar books he was just stirring up so much ✨drama✨

He didn’t need to tell Feyre to “stay with the high lord” (didn’t need to phrase it like that either) but he just couldn’t help himself.

Also that bit in ACOMAF when he is telling Feyre about the flower and he just casually drops that Rhysand is her mate. She’s all shocked and he’s just like “oh, you didn’t know” 😏

I CRIED so hard when he died. He just wanted to eat chicken, wear a warm coat, and dream of a better future. 🐓🧥🌌

Azriel is such a thoughtful and personal gift giver…

He went all the way to the continent to get Feyre special paints

He paid attention to Nesta and knew she would love/benefit from a reading light

When he picked out a gift for Elain he got her a stained glass rose necklace

Whether you think they (elriel) are the right fit or not you gotta kinda admit that it was sweet he shows his love and admiration for the Archerons through gifts 🎁

I really wish that the fae in Acotar were a bit more wild. A little freaky if you will. I wish they acted more feral and like the fae from myths. It would be more fun I think

What was SJM thinking when she made Illyrians a race with BAT LIKE WINGS live in the freezing mountains of the night court???

Bats have a large surface area because of their membranous wings

They lose heat very fast and that’s why they thrive in warm climates

They would all be freezing or dead

In ACOTAR there are all those “strained leathers”

Do you think the leathers squeak?

Like everything is quiet and then there’s a tense sexual moment followed by a squeak?

Not SJM naming her Main female character (the one who can hunt with a bow and arrow and becomes high lady) FEYRE ARCHERON

If I was Sarah J Maas I would definitely include a time skip in the next Acotar book. Imagine having a 45-70 year old Elain be the main character!

- She would have officially been fae longer than human (the turmoil)

- Both of her love interests could have been pining after her for years (imagine the angst!!!)

- She could be ready to leave the night court and go on a solo adventure to the continent

It would be so cool to have her be mature instead of the younger MCs we typically get!

I still can’t get over how Mor’s POV in ACOFAS was just collectively forgotten…

Like, she was in the woods and there was a powerful dark entity STALKING HER

And then we get no further information and it’s been like six years

I’ve never heard any one even mention it

I NEED a Downton Abbey/ Office style Tv show of the Spring Court estate before UTM/ when Rhys and Tamlin were buddies. It would be all of the servants and household staff gossiping about the two lordlings and how ✨close✨ they are

I can’t remember when/where but I think SJM said that TOG and ACOTAR are happening at the same time. But TOG ends with “in a kingdom long since burned to ash”. So does that mean ACOTAR is also in “the past”?

That makes me wonder….

- Who was the first of the inner circle to die?

- When did Nyx become high lord?

- Did he ever form his own inner circle?

- If Rhys/Feyre were the first to die then did Azriel/Cassian/Nesta/Amren/Mor all serve under Nyx as he became highlord?

Just some sad thoughts 😔

I definitely think he can manipulate his shadow. He probably hides it during spy work

No one should be this obsessed with a fictional character. The Azriel brain rot is consuming me 😭

Not a day goes by that I don’t think about how Cassian bought Nesta the first book in existence and then threw it into the Sidra

I desperately need to see fanart of Nesta and Cassian riding motorcycles. Nesta’s has silver flames painted on the side and Cassian’s has a bat being stabbed by a sword 🗡️

The Elriel vs. Gwynriel vs. (insert non canon/ non confirmed ship here) debate has my head SPINNING.

and I have not read the books in a little over a year.

I have trouble remembering major canon events! Let alone every side relationship in perfect detail!

So when I see pro ship quotes from the books taken out of context, I’m like “ yeah, that makes sense”

I’m switching alliances every five minutes 😭

After UTM a few months pass where Feyre is alive and “okay”, is it ever mentioned if she made contact with her sisters to let them know she was alive? Because last time they saw her she was going off to single-handedly rescue a High lord from the strongest fae in Prythian….

I know she didn’t visit them, but did she write a note? Between her leaving for UTM and then coming to them for help, about half a year passes. Did she let them know she is alive?

Scenes from ACOTAR I wish I could read:

- Nesta’s POV as Feyre was being taken and how she went after her.

- Tamlin’s POV when he said Feyre’s hair was clean (He must have been panicking)

-Lucien’s POV when Tamlin attempted to compliment Feyre

- Literally any of the Staff’s POV from when Feyre was “sneakily” sneaking out of the castle

- Rhys’s POV from when he met Feyre for the first time

- Rhys’s POV of when Feyre took down the Wyrm

- Rhys’s POV from when Feyre died

- Rhys’s POV when finding out Feyre was his mate (from UTM all the way through seeing the IC for the first time in 50 yrs)

So in ACOMAF it is kind of established that although Prythian hasn’t gone through an Industrial Revolution or anything, they still have mechanical items (like Lucien’s eye).

So now I’m wondering how long it’s going to take them to figure out that rising heat (flame) can make things float (hot air ballon).

Which puts the image of the Autumn court (Eris specifically) powering solo hot air balloons around the courts

Acotar headcanon:

Okay, so you know how when Nesta is kidnapped and forced to perform the blood rite, Cassian is freaking out thinking that she could be dead and he might not even know it. Then Azriel assures him that if she died Cassian would know because they are mates….

Well what if there was a fae (maybe Azriel, idk) and they lived in Pythian but their mate was mortal and lived in another world (I definitely think that some mates are currently separated by worlds). And since they are mortal every time they die their fated mate feels it. Same with every time they are reincarnated (I also think that in the SJM universe characters are reincarnated) (more on that theory later)

Just thinking about how when the bat boys were teenagers they were sneaking wine while Rhys’s mom was out of town and they spilled it on the couch and freaked out so hard they threw all of their magic into trying to get rid of the stain just to end up permanently preserving the wine stain on the couch

When Rhys was UTM Feyre said he was pale but then when she saw him a few months later he was tan from the sun. So that means that the Fae can tan. Which brings me to my question. Do Illyrians have really weird tan lines from constantly wearing fighting leathers?

When the inner circle eats dinner at the townhouse what do you think that looks like? Food wise I mean? Like is it the kind of thing where all the food is in the middle and everyone helps themselves or is it more like a restaurant where everyone is served? Do they all eat the same thing or do some of them have dietary preferences? Surely Cassian (the guy who is a 6 foot something solid block of muscle) isn’t eating the same amount of food as Elain? So do they have different portion sizes?

(There is no need for me to think about this this hard I just have ACOTAR brain rot)
