His brightest star I wanted to draw Sirius in casual clothes.

Sirius Black’s life was nothing short of a tragedy.

He was born into a world that was supposed to love him, only to find that love came with conditions—conditions he could never meet. He grew up in a house where expectations turned into disappointments, where love was a weapon and affection was conditional. His parents saw him as a failure, something to be corrected, something to be fixed—and when he couldn’t be, they abandoned him.

Then, just when he thought he had escaped, just when he had found a family in James and the Potters, in the warmth of a home that wasn’t built on cruelty—he lost it all.

At twenty-one, barely an adult, his best friend—the one person who had brought light into his life, the person he loved more than anything—was murdered. And the world, cruel as ever, didn’t just take James from him. It blamed him for it.

His other friends were gone too. Remus, the last person he had left, didn’t believe him. Peter, the one who had truly betrayed them all, walked free while Sirius rotted in Azkaban, screaming into the void, trapped inside his own mind as Dementors tore apart what was left of him.

Twelve years.

Twelve years of suffocating in his grief, of hearing whispers in the dark, of being a prisoner in every sense of the word. Then he escaped—only to find that the world had moved on without him. The people he had once fought for, once loved, were dead. The war wasn’t over. Evil still walked free.

And Sirius—Sirius was stuck.

Stuck in a house that had never been a home. The walls that once whispered cruel words from his mother’s mouth now did so literally, suffocating him in memories he had spent his entire life trying to forget. He was supposed to be free, but he was nothing more than a caged dog. A soldier without a war. A man who was still breathing but not living.

And then there was Harry.

James’s son.

Sirius saw James in the way Harry stood, the way he grinned, the way he spoke. And wasn’t that cruel, too? That the world had taken his best friend from him, only to dangle pieces of him in front of Sirius, a reminder of everything he had lost?

But he loved Harry. Loved him as much as he had loved James, because what else could he do?

And in the end, it didn’t matter. Because the world took him too.

Sirius Black died without ever knowing that his little brother had been a hero. Without ever knowing that Regulus had turned against Voldemort, had tried to make things right.

He died without ever seeing Remus find happiness, without ever seeing James’s son grow up.

He died after a life spent running, fighting, grieving—never once knowing what it was like to simply be at peace.

Sirius Black’s life was a tragedy.
