Dancing Drabbles #6 - Red Son

Alright, I know you all have been waiting for this little hot head for a hot minute. I figured since I am sick and I got a chapter out early, i'd go ahead and work on this drabble.

So unlike Tang, Chang'e, and Nezha? I know more about him (or at least his LMK version) enough that I can say that I want a jealousy drabble. I want to watch as this little idiot flusters over his S/O dancing with someone else, because he's too prideful to do it in front of many many strangers and yet in private is willing to address his little conundrum in a roundabout way.

So, a jealousy fic I shall write. Come get your food you funky little cryptids!

Red Son was not jealous.

As a demon, it was beneath him to be jealous of anyone. He was the son of Princess Iron Fan and Demon Bull King. While there were others stronger than him, he knew his standing was up there amongst other demons. Many knew to fear him. Many knew to respect him.

Yet somehow, someway, watching his mortal partner dance with a complete stranger during a human competition is what has brought out interesting and completely non-jealousy-related emotions. So what if a stranger had his hands on your hips as you swayed around the dance floor, It's not as if that bothered him. It's not as if his hands dug into his knees with the utmost disdain as he watches said stranger hold their leg in between your own, practically having you straddle the fool. It wasn't as if, even with him pulling his baseball cap down to hide who he was, he didn't want to jump down there onto that dance floor and rip you away from them. 

It wasn't a jealousy thing in any sense of the word. He will stand by that statement and die on that hill.

So, arriving at your apartment with completely non-dance related ulterior motives would be okay, right? If it happened to lean towards dancing, and him potentially learning it, then that was fine.

" You were impeccable my love, but he on the other hand could stand to take things more seriously. I didn't think he was that good myself. " He quips, keeping his gaze focused on the bag of trash next to the door. He figured you were trying to take that out when you smacked him with the door.

So why was he standing at the door to your apartment, hesitating? His hand was near the door. All he had to do was knock.

" This is humiliating. " He complains, frowning. He looks down at his appearance, much more casual than usual. He had chose to wear a red t-shirt, and black pants compared to his usual uniform. He didn't wear it because he wanted to be ready for you. Nope. Not a bit.

Before he reaches to knock, the door opens and smacks him in the face. Recoiling back, he holds his nose and hears your sweet voice speak in a panic.

" Red!? " Your hands are grasping his own, squeezing them in worry as you look him over. His cheeks warm as your face is close to his own. " Oh my gods, I am so. sorry! I didn't mean to hit you- wait, why are you just standing outside of my door. "

His own red eyes look into your own, and he's at a loss for words. You always somehow managed to take his words away, leaving him to stare at you in wonder. With a dry mouth, he coughs into his hand, standing up straight. " I came to visit my beloved. Is there another reason I need to have to see you? "

You blink with those doe eyes of yours, and he resists the urge to pick you up and hug you tight. With a warm smile, you giggle out a no and invite him in. Your apartment is just as cute as your own, little bits of your personality shining through in small ways. It wasn't a grand palace like where he lived, but it was comfortable.

" Well, see. I would believe you! I realy would, but..." You giggle, hand covering your mouth as you gesture to his clothes. " What's with the get up? I would've thought peasantry clothes were beneath you. "

" Ah. " He's at a loss. He looks down at his clothes and then back to you, hand going to the back of his head. " Well, I wanted to try something different! " It wasn't because the dance partner you had wore something similar. It definitely wasn't that. You arch a brow at him, clearly not believe him before smiling.

" Well, you look nice. " He could feel his hair light up, flames framing his face against red cheeks. Why must your compliments affect him this way?

He looked towards where your couch would be, noting how everything had been spread out and a rubber mat had been rolled out for cushion. You had been practicing dancing. He looks from the mat to your moving figure as you step close to your stereo. He had no why you used such an old piece of tech, and telling him it was for "asthetic purposes" made no sense to him even now.

" So. You were practicing? "

" Mhm! We did so well last time that I didn't want to get all rusty on him. " The mentioning of him has him pursing his lips in annoyance, a low huff escaping him as he stuffs his hands into his pockets.

" Really? I thought he was good. " You chime, popping open the CD player. You switch out the music for something else, which draws Red Sons attention.

" Hah. You were a gem compared to that lowlife. " He scoffs, arms crossed over his chest. You raise up from your spot, brow arched as you watched your boyfriend. His shoulders were tense and he kept his face away from you. However, you can see the tips of his ears a light shade of red at the tips. You had wondered if seeing you dance with someone else would have sparked his jealousy, not that it wasn't cute to see him like that. However, he said nothing at the time the competition happened. NOW though...

You step close, placing your hand on his arm as you pull his attention towards you. Your eyes lock onto his, and a warm smile graces your lips that has him swallowing. Eye lids low, you pull him towards the mat with a giggle.

" Do you want to dance with me? "

" Wah- Why would you think that? Hah. " He speaks, rather too loudly than he normally would. You, however, know better than that and stroll over to your stereo. Turning on the music, you step back over to him and lace your fingers in his, pulling him close.

" We'll start off slow. Let me show you how I danced that day, mm? " You whisper, leaning close to where your noses are just touching one another. His face is the lovely shade of a bright cherry, and you hear him audibly swallow before slowly nodding.

Guiding his hands to your hips, you begin to move against him to the sensual beat going on in the background. You raise both of your hands up, your noses once again brushing up against one another as lips almost touch. While he seems dazed, you give a light kiss to his lips, whispering low. " Just let me take the lead. "

You give him a twirl, surprising him as he spins out and back into your hold. When his leg goes inbetween yours, he swallows as you practically grind against it, your hands brushing against his face with a devil like smile. When you hold back onto his hand, you spin yourself out, then back as your back presses up against him, causing him to puff out air as you rock your hips side to side.

" See, the Bachata is very...personal. Almost sensual, in my opinion. " You lean back, tilting his face towards you. " Now that I think about it, perhaps I should only do it with you, hm? "

His heart is hammering into his chest, and his mouth feels dry. The way you're pressed against him is overwhelming, and yet he can't look away. So instead he moves his hands down your sides, squeezing firmly before leaning against your ear.

" Perhaps. You know...I've been told I'm a very good at following instructions. " He teases, nuzzling up against you with a hum. " Perhaps there are...other things you can show me? "

With a gentle smile, you place a loving kiss to your partner, a laugh escaping afterwards.

" I would not have it any other way. "
