Sorry to bother you, but I have a quick question. How do you do the preschool gameplay in your game? Do you have a mod? Or did you make all the other kids and move your toddler to a preschool household? Sorry if this is weird, I’ve just been looking for more gameplay ideas for my toddlers and kid sims!
hi there! you're no bother at all, i'm very wcif-friendly! :) okay so, there are a few things here:
first thing: the toddlers in my preschool post are actually deco sims from @reigningsims (link here). lazysimmies on insta also has a similar deco sim pack for children sims here, if you're interested! i just used the daycare section of the san sequoia family center build by @softerhaze and pretended is was a preschool classroom :)
second: i don't have a preschool mod per-se, but i do have an elementary school mod by @zerbu! it works similarly to how high school years works - but you have more control over the settings (like you can put an elementary school on any lot - but you can still only have one in-game at a time, you can control how many students are in the class, there are field trips, guest speakers, etc.)
third: as far as i know, there isn't a preschool specific mod where you can follow your toddlers to school, BUT there is a rabbit-hole mod that allows you to send your toddler to half-day preschool by @adeepindigo (link here). this mod also has other toddler rabbit-hole activities like playdates, parent & me classes, library story time, etc. that give buffs to your sims as well. highly recommend, especially if you have more than one infant / toddler / child sim in your houeshold and you want some free time or one-on-one time with the other, lol
i hope that helps and is what you were looking for! let me know if there's anything i can clarify :) happy simming!
Some people asked for my cas background after i posted some cas pics recently, so i uploaded it for anyone who is interested. It looks pretty different with no reshade... but yea! 🌙 here ya go :)
looking at everyone's beautiful sims and stories is really making me want to dive in and start posting my own stuff!! but the Perfectionist in me really wants to figure out how to make my screenshots actually look good first and hoo boy, there is a lot I still want to learn about how to do that

this mod adds two new interactions with infants:
sim reads a book to an infant sitting on their lap;
sim reads books and boosts skills while an infant naps on their lap.
requires the xml injector base game compatible
male sims have the same animation, with a slight adjustment in leg position. both actions require a nearby couch, bench or living chair. I didn't make the page-turning animation. i hope you don't mind — it would have made the process 10 times harder...
the books appear automatically. this is what a children's book looks like inside:
the adult book features cover art by illustrator daniel stolle. the children's book's exterior texture is artwork by ekatamandalIllustration. the children's book's inner texture features artwork by e. bauman and a. arinushkin.
to start "lap reading", go to the "friendly..." -> "activities".
after the activity, both the adult and the baby gains increases in their "social" and "fun" stats, plus the following buffs:
for this interaction, head over to the "baby care" menu -> "give baby a nap while reading...". you'll find several options here.
the "give a nap while reading fiction book" option only adds 'fun'. the other options add a smaller 'fun', but they help develop various skills (skills are only from the base game). the baby gains increases in "social" and "energy" stats.
after the action, both the adult and the child receive the following buffs:
note that if an infant has the 'hates being carried' trait, they will not receive the buff. similarly, an adult sim with the 'hates children' trait will not receive the buff.
i tried to make the action work for toddlers too, but i haven't figured out how yet. these interactions, like my previous mod "take a nap with infant", are based on the "give infant a nap" action. adapting them for toddlers requires deeper modding knowledge. i hope that either i or someone else in the modding community will figure out how to make it work in the future.
please let me know if you run into any issues while using the mod. i'm always happy to help, and your feedback is incredibly useful for fine-tuning it 🤍
i'm really proud of this mod! it's not perfect, but i'm happy with how it turned out, and i hope you find it both useful and fun.
Almanara Castle, once part of the grand Qasr Al-Zayl al-Tartos, was the last refuge of Emir Jabar Al-Tartozi II before the fall of the Emirate of Tartosa in 1497. Spared after the siege, it later became a royal villa and was declared a cultural heritage site in 1876. Now a museum and wedding venue, Almanara offers a glimpse into Tartosa’s past with stunning coastal views.
Lesmana Enterprise led the restoration efforts after the 2021 Tartosa earthquake which damaged the castle, restoring it to its former glory.
This picturesque castle was built in the late 14th century during the early years of the Tartosan Emirate rule by Al-Simhara sulanate engineers.
Its arabesque-moorish architecture is a reminder of a much more different, by-gone era of Tartosa's deep history.
Our team of highly skilled engineers, historians, craftspeople, and archeologists ensures that the Almanara Castle retains its charm for centuries to come.
From intricate archway designs, geometric tileworks, centuries-old plasters, to water features that had worked for the past 600 years without the use of eletricity, we made sure visitors would experience Almanara Castle the way the Emirs of Tartosa and his royal court had experienced it centuries ago.
During the rule of Emir Hamid I (AD 1401-1429), Almanara Castle was repurposed as a private quarter of his daughter Amirah Jenane Al-Munr, who added more geometric tilework to the castle, adorned in her favorite azure and tosca colors to every edge of the estate.
In 1415, Amirah Jenane had her wedding in this very hall, where dignitaries from neighboring kingdoms like Kingdom of Windenburg, Grand Duchy of Champ-les-sims, and even norther simlandic kingdoms were invited to attend.
Today, the hall of Jenane becomes an exhibition hall that displays the collections of Amirah Jenane, where centuries-old potteries from different parts of the world can be seen, showing the Amirah's love for future generations who visits the castle.
Also, just like Amirah Jenane, you can experience becoming an Emirate royal by having your wedding in this hall too, by arranging the dates from the Museum's website.
On the second floor of the main keep, you can find an exhibition of the Emir Jabar II's personal belongings such as weapons, books, and tapestries.
Pieces like the Emir's silver sword crafted by a Ravenwood master blacksmith, or the Emir's Gunpowder-powered broom crafted by a Glimmerbrook 15th century famed gunsmith-warlock is diplayed in this room.
In the castle's subterrane, is a breathtaking hall called the "Azure Sanctum", a hall with and endless arrangement of pillars and arches adorned in the finest lazuardi tiles and gemstones, with a fountain that had been running for centuries without the help of electricity.
According to historians' records, the Azure Sanctum used to be a place where the Royals would lounge during the hot Tartosan summer, as this room is proven to be -5 to -7 degrees celcius cooler than the air outside.
Now, the Azure sanctum serves as an exhibition hall for wall decorations and the famed "Scales of righteousness", a golden scale used widely in the Tartosan Emirate's Al-Simharan justice system in the medieval era.
