Sigil Crafting

Sigil Crafting

Sigils were the first magic I ever learned. As an artist, symbolism and aesthetic are things that are incredibly important to me. I have used multiple ways of crafting sigils, but I have created my own personal way of creating sigils using a method writers have used in poetry- the stream of consciousness technique.

I put my pen to paper, call upon what I wish to make a sigil about, and let the pen create what I need.

Sigil Crafting

These are the sigils that I use the most frequently (you may use them if you wish).

You may notice that my sigils in the form of arrows. Arrows are a symbolic representation of aiming and shooting for something, and I love the vertically long look because I like to draw these sigils on my forearms.

I created all of these with stream of consciousness drawing.

It is almost like a form of meditation for me. Allowing myself to simply create what I think “focus” or “protection” looks like visually makes the end results beautiful and meaningful for me.

I do have a few running themes. Here are a few symbols I love to throw in.

Sigil Crafting

These are used a ton in my art.

So here is a step by step of what to do-

1. Clear your mind for meditation. (Tip- if you have crystals that symbolize your intent, surround yourself with them. And example would be having a rose quartz for love on you or near you.)

2. Put your writing utensil to your paper. (I recommend using paper before digital.) Have your energy flow from your body to the focus of the tip of the pen/pencil, repeating the intent you wish the sigil to have.

3. Make a first draft of your sigil by allowing your hand to simply move as you think of your intent.

4. Make as many reiterations you wish until you have something you feel satisfied with. (Editing is a big part of writing as well.)

5. After a few tries making different sigils, make a list of your own common symbols you see popping up in your sigils.

And there you have it. If you are not comfortable, try mixing this technique with others to find what works best for you, or simply only use other techniques and make sigil arrows. I think using the look of an abstract arrow helps with directing intentions.

You can also request a sigil from me if you so choose in my inbox, for I shall be making them for anyone who asks for free.

I hope you find yourself using this technique of stream of consciousness to create wonderful sigils.

I recommend burning this sigil to ash, mixing it with more ashes, and then letting the wind carry the ashes across the grove.

Bringing forth magick through the colors of Viadescioism:

All you need to do to call upon the kna of a specific color is to allow them to be in your proximity so that the kna emanating from them can commune with you. This can be done in many different ways, and one way would be to get specific colored candles or other forms of tools so that when they are being used, they will also emit that certain color kna along with the other kna that they usually produce. Another way that you could bring colored kna into your practice would be to wear a specific color of clothing that is the color that you wish to invoke the kna of. You could also visualize that color to bring that kna to you, allowing it to be used in situations where you might not have a physical representation of it. The basic idea of all of this is for you to find a way in which you will interact with the color so that that color kna can interact with you in your daily life. This will allow you to benefit from the kna that it produces and use it in your magickal practice. Below is a list of different colors and their metaphysical correspondences that can be invoked by bringing that color into your routine.

These colors align themselves well with Viadescioism and act as symbols for it. These colors have an aesthetic purpose and a metaphysical one and are color schemes used in specific places within the practice. Below is a list of different colors and their metaphysical correspondences that can be invoked by bringing that color into your routine.

“The Womb”

I noticed a few spikes were sticking out of the pond with duckweed and I wondered what it was. It turned out to be a young little hedgehog that drowned… Such a horrible and scary death for this small creature.

I went to the old cemetery, as this place is so beautiful and special to me to make berry mandala for it, to symbolize its return to Nature’s womb.

Disclaimer: These photos are taken at an old local cemetary where you are allowed to walk on and between the graves. This is a special place to me and placing the animal in that location doesn’t feel disrespectful to me, nor is that my intention.

Basic Elements of Energy Work

Energy work is the ability of a person to control unseen energies. Almost all basic pagan/Wiccan/New Age/witchcraft exercises deal with energy work. Here is a short list of some of the things a young witch should learn.

Grounding. It’s extremely important. You may think it will be fun to carry around a lot of elemental energy - you will quickly change your mind. Grounding is the ability to get excess energy out and ground yourself back in reality. This is especially important if you want to work with dreams, spirits, or visions.

Centering goes hand-in-hand with grounding. As a magical practitioner, you do stuff that leaves your energetic body out of sorts. If you are working with real magic, there is also a chance your grasp on reality can be shaken. Centering is a focus on your physical body that gathers all your loose bits and reforms your energetic body back in to its natural shape. Combine it with grounding to get back to the real world.

Shielding is a basic energy work exercise that is also pretty danged important. Learn to shield yourself and how to place shields around other things, people, and locations. This is a vital element of protection.

Charging is the act of filling an object with energy. You can passively charge things by leaving them around natural elements, but you need to learn how to actively charge something as well.

Programing is the process of giving energy a ‘job’. Programing energy is the basis for all spellwork. When you dress a candle, you are filling it with energy and then programing that energy to do a job for you.

Beltane Almond Biscotti Recipe

Beltane Almond Biscotti Recipe
Almond Biscotti Recipe for Beltane
Plentiful Earth
Almonds, an amazing aphrodisiac, are sacred to the warm, festive Wiccan and Pagan holiday of Beltane! What better way to enjoy them than in

This cookie recipe from Plentiful Earth is perfect for people who like to celebrate Beltane over several cups of hot coffee, biscotti comes out hard but then when it's soaked in the coffee it softens and absorbs the extra coffee flavor too. If you've never had a biscotti it's pretty good but be careful if you have jaw or tooth issues.
