Another day of Ao3 being down another day for me to work on my wip without getting distracted

Thanks to Ao3 being down I had one of the most productive writing sessions I’ve ever had for a while. Like I had gone a couple of days without sitting down to write. I even started another wip!

My First Time Playing EarthBound

The second thing I did besides text the person who convinced me to play it that I had finished it is make this tumblr post. I would say how incredible of a game EarthBound is but I think we all already know that. Let’s get one thing out of the way I am no gamer. The Mother series is the first video games I’ve played in a while. And just getting to Giygas was a challenge but when I got to the part where it says that the player was praying for the characters you bet your ass I was. I genuinely feel so bad for killing all of my flying men.

I had decided to play Mother 1 before EarthBound just to see what it would be like and man was it weird like I immediately knew where the chick in Magicant was from. And there was a bunch of other things that made me think “that doesn’t make sense if you haven’t played M1.”

M1 already made me cry and I also cried a couple of different times during EB. During the 8 melodies flashback, when everyone is praying for Ness’s and his friends’ safety. It’s amazing just how hard emotionally these decades old games can hit. And of course I’m gonna play Mother 3 next. Thank you Mr. Itoi for these wonderful games, and thank you to my best friend who convinced me to play them. I don’t think I will ever forget the experience of playing these games.

Oh my god my emotions

I just finished reading My Love Story/Ore Monogatari Vol 3 and man I did not expect it to hit me as hard as it did. It broke my heart when Takeo had to leave Yamato on her birthday date to be with Sunakawa. I love their friendship so much, just as much as the romance between Yamato and Takeo. I understood why he left of course, but man did it still hurt. At least Yamato took the it like a champ, if she had secretly been upset I think I would’ve started crying. And in the hospital when Sunakawa says his father’s hospitalization was his fault, a punch directly to my feels. Especially because my own father has heart problems, so it was a punch to the relatability as well.

tl;dr: Ore Monogatari is peak romantic (and bromantic) fiction and is underrated

tonight me and my family played Catan my stepdad and brother got into two separate screaming matches over the rules and I had enough time to use the bathroom and browse tumblr during the screaming one of the trading conditions between me and my brother was essentially “you do not get to hold everyone else hostage by refusing to end your turn to force others to trade with you if I give you this wheat” (he did anyways) and he still ended up loosing to our little sister

I had delayed my dad dropping me and my siblings off at my mom’s house just to defeat the diamond dog in EarthBound then I got the final melody watched the cutscene with baby Ness and his parents which made me cry then my dad got me and my siblings in the car for McDonalds before he dropped me and my siblings off at our mom’s house and in other news I will be listening to the EarthBound eight melodies on repeat until it is out of my head

Or simply are looking for good manga recommendations. And I’m so glad I took her recommendation. As you can assume from the title it’s a crime mystery drama about a college student solving crimes, but takes a bit more serious approach to the concept of a young crime solver. It has multiple twists I didn’t see coming. And the art is so pretty. If you like realistic mystery crime dramas I suggest picking this up. And check out Colleen’s channel for more information about all kinds of shojo goodness.
