Twice: “Hey, Giran! It’s Twice! How’s it going?”

Giran: “Good. How are things with you and the league?”

Twice: “Great! Shitty— I mean we haven’t gotten much done yet, but I’ve made a bunch of new friends here—“

Tomura, in the background: “Twice, this isn’t a check-in to Mom and Dad from summer camp— QUIT YAPPING AND GIVE THE PHONE TO SPINNER.”

Twice: “We’ll talk later!“

Spinner, taking the phone: “Hey, Giran. Would you happen to know any villain-friendly healers we could meet with?”

Giran: “Yeah, I could put you in touch with someone. Is everything okay?”

Spinner: “Uhhh, well… Shigaraki just tried to iron his clothes for the first time.”

Giran: “For the first time? Not surprising. What, does he want a healer for? A little burn?”

Spinner: “Well, he was still wearing the clothes when he ironed them.”

Giran: “What— Why the hell would he do that?!”

Dabi, in the background: “I told him that’s how it’s done.”

Tomura: “If you weren’t already 90% burns, I’d shove this iron down your throat.”

Dabi: “Big talk for the guy who’s currently got a Call of Duty shirt burned into his nipples.”

Spinner: “Guys, seriously— We are never letting Kurogiri have a day off again.”

Giran, sighs: “… I’ll make some calls.”

Hey, so… I accepted a babysitting job from some guy named Kurogiri and I just got to the place and—

What the fuck is this?

All right, so I just noticed this and I wanted to point it out.

For the manga/anime art style, emotions are expressed heavily in the eyes, especially in the eyebrows. Looking at the side by side comparison here, Endeavor is angry/determined. That is clear in how his eyebrow angles sharply toward his eye in profile.

Dabi's eyebrow, in contrast, doesn't even touch his upper eyelid and it's not as sharp a line. It wavers subtly toward his hairline and upturns slightly toward his forehead. There's also the fact his eye is wide open and not narrowed like Endeavor's is.

That's not a furious expression. If you want to draw someone furious, you draw it angled like it is on Endeavor. What they did with Dabi's eye in this frame is an expression that usually indicates anguish, fear, or sadness. You can see it even better if you cover up the lower half of his face. In this circumstance, the anger element was mostly carried by the shape of his mouth (stretched open, bared teeth), the blood vessels in his eyes, and, in the anime’s case, the performance of the voice actors.

This scene is Dabi and Endeavor's first in-person encounter.

He is pissed/hurt his father didn't recognize him.

Mr. Compress, in the back of a cop car: “Could you possibly turn up the AC? It’s a little stuffy in here—”

Cop: “Stop talking.”

Mr. Compress, on his phone: “Yeah, I’ll be back at the hideout shortly.”

Cop: “What— how did you get your hands free? Are you on the phone?”

Mr. Compress: “Yes, I’m on the phone— Sorry, Dabi, my chaperone is being impolite.”

Cop: “Chaperone??”

Cop, pulls over and looks in the back seat, Mr. Compress is gone.

Radio: “Do you have the suspect detained?”

Cop: “I did.”

Radio: “What do you mean you did?!”

Cop: “I don’t know, he disappeared!”

The car starts up and drives off.

Cop: “HEY!!! STOP!”

Mr. Compress, blasting the AC.
