Story goes, a couple of years ago I digital painted this accursed image:
I don’t visit tumblr all that much these days but today I did, and I found a comment that said something along the lines of “Is this the original Ricardo Megamind meme?” and I was like “WHAT MEME?”. So I googled it and:
MY NAME IS MARLENA. I AM (or was until my tools broke) A DIGITAL ARTIST FROM POLAND. AND I PAINTED THIS SH**
I don’t mind it being a meme. It’s a fanart. I painted it for fun and because I really like that movie. I see this entire thing as a form of flattery. Also, you’re welcome, since this may be the closest you will ever see of a “live-action” Megamind (and considering how all the recent remakes of old classics are, it may be for the best).
I only want to know one thing, WHO THE F** IS THIS RICARDO?
me as a kid reading Dune: I appreciate the detailed world-building that justifies why everyone fights with swords and has mental powers, but the idea of a Butlerian Jihad against computers is pretty silly

As I've discussed several times on this account, there's a high probability that Sigyn (with the "Sig" in her name, with the Victorious Woman/Friend of Victory, and the association with fetters, among other things) was a Valkyrie.
And as you know, Valkyries came for brave warriors on the hour of their deaths, to take them to Valhalla. So in this piece I commissioned, the amazing @boomdafunk depicted Sigyn welcoming (MCU)Loki after his death at Thanos' hands.
Narvi: How did you meet mother, dad?
Loki: Well, the day I died
Vali: ... Of course you did... ^^'
The pose from this ilustration was inspired by another of my mythological OTPs, Psyche & Eros :3
In this piece, I guess the roles are reversed, with the winged lover being Sigyn :3

I love that I discovered fandom at my age (68). I’m retired after 40+ years of working full time. My kids are grown and my grandkids are young adults. I finally have the time to follow interesting people on sites like this, who broaden my perspectives and stimulate thought. I’ve immersed myself into the world of fan fiction where I’ve discovered extraordinary authors who so generously share their talent and creativity. This is truly a rich and delightful time in my life. I’m so grateful for Good Omens, the show that introduced me to this fandom that means so much to me.
