My head canon about Giyuu is that I think he is a really independent younger child, rather than someone who is just spoiled and unable to do basic tasks.
I could just be projecting, because I'm a younger sibling myself and I don't rely heavily on my older sibs, but I think, that even if Giyuu was pampered, he would eventually learn to help Tsutako in the household. There's only two of them and he probably feels bad that his sister had to raise him alone, so I think, that at a young age, he'd do all that he could to lessen some of her burden.
Another reason is that Urokodaki is very strict with his students. I can't imagine that he (and possibly Sabito) would be lenient with his training. Being a Demon Slayer and especially a Hashira, would mean that you need to at least have basic survival skills. Giyuu would eventually need to learn all that. Not to mention Giyuu is a solitary person, so he has to at least be self sufficient if he was able to survive that long.
Since we're at it, that's also why I personally don't think that Giyuu can't swim. As far as I know, there's no strong evidence to support that. Imagine if he has to save someone from drowning during his mission, then he's screwed.
Urokodaki literally throws his students into into the water, so if anything, I actually hc that Giyuu in present, is a very good swimmer, and likely a decent cook too. It's not quite the same, but some of the things he does in the Gakuen spin off seem to suggest it.

We see here how he lives alone. His space even looks neat. He prepares his own meals and even trained the kids on how to survive the ocean. (implying he can swim)
I mean yeah ofc, he still has moments where he wants his sister to dote on him, (this is an au were all things went well after all ) but he's also quick to think about not bothering her. Even if this setting has very low stakes, he still wouldn't survive on his own if he wasn't at least independent.
It's just a headcanon of course, but I like the idea of Giyuu being independent, especially his taisho era counterpart. I think it could play nicely in his development by learning that there is no need for shame and guilt in being protected, and that it's okay to rely on others too, even if he still has a way to go with that.

THIS IS SO COOL
Going through another my hero phase right now so I had to draw Dabi/Touya 💙
yay non-tag rambles !!!
this is what I really like about this au !!! keigo is so much responsive to touya's antics, he actually feels angry and expresses it !! i've seen many many fics where he's very chill - even tho touya literally breaks into his apartment or something - I digress 🐸
i wonder if it's the casual physical contact that draws keigo in, i imagine him touch starved in like every universe ( i don't think it's too far fetched, correct me if i'm wrong)
imagine as touya is coaxing him to bed, keigo is still grumbling about him going MIA and that he's not getting away with it and bla bla bla, but touya can't hear him -> 1. bc future touya can deal with it, present touya dgaf 2. he literally can't (the ability to hear is halfway out the window)
the only way touya knows that keigo is still bitching, is thru the rumbling he feels coming off of keigo and the constant shuffling <- this is where touya starts getting annoyed, but eventually they both settle lmaooo
college au keigo is studying something related to criminals methinks. criminology. criminal psychology. criminal justice. idk but something. give me some thoughts
#DabiHawks holding hands
Hawks, who convinces Dabi to go on a date, where they're both disguised in obnoxiously patterned jackets— a sure crime Hawks dug up from the back of his closet from an old photoshoot— pulled up so high past their mouths and sunglasses darker than night, Dabi doesn't really get it.
Doesn't really know how this is any different than when they slink with the shadows of night, but Hawks looks pleased even beneath the disguise and they're headed off to some unknown dining Hawks fancies. His eyes shift to Dabi's every so often, hand dropped against his side just brushing against Dabi's with every step like he wants to... wants to hold his hand.
So Dabi does it for him, doesn't think about what it means, doesn't think about it being their first, when he grabs Hawks' hand and slots their palms flat together, entwines their fingers and holds it firm against his side.
Hawks' hand automatically curls right along with his, smaller but thicker than Dabi's fingers and it's the first time he's noticed that too.
It feels like the right move when Hawks stares steady fast ahead now, his grip on Dabi's just as tight.
They're in sync, they're walking down the broadlights of Fukuoka, they're holding hands and no one is batting them an eye.
"Y'know," Hawks starts after a moment, "I've never..."
Held hands where it counted, Hawks thinks wordlessly, the last time being the distant memory of his mother's hand grabbing his to keep him from wandering off.
The sentence hangs, but Dabi fills in the blanks.
Never held hands?
Dabi doesn't have to look to know birdie is radiating happiness, the palm of his hands growing warm beneath Dabi's permanent heat.
It's nothing crazy and Hawks knows that, but still it feels like a first of a moment and he's never had, a normal moment before.
Dabi hasn't either.
They don't talk about it and Dabi, doesn't make him.
This is for Hawks.
if Touya had become a pro hero, I know he would’ve aced modeling. just imagine him posing. and the STARE??? god he belongs on a front page
