Part 1 and Part 2
So Sakura starts studying by following Shizune's instructions and reading any book suggestion she can get her hands on. Much like Sasuke being trained by Anko as a bonus for his cursed mark, at first she's still Kakashi's student and only asking for Shizune's help on her free time. (And Naruto at this point is already being taken around on small missions with Jiraya).
Soon enough Shizune decides she's ready for some practice and in no time Sakura starts showing results. That's when she invites Tsunade to take a look at her progress.
Tsunade is quite please and surprised by it, and officially assigns Sakura to train under Shizune (she's hokage she doesn't have all that time, and who's better to pass down her teachings than her own student).
Sakura will also train more taijutsu in the following years (and Tsunade could take some time here and there to give her some tips) so that she's not only in the back waiting for her teammates to get hurt. Sakura wants to fight, she wants to become strong to protect her friends.
Bonus (watch out Kakashi):
Just grow the guts to finally publish this. It's not perfect, but I hope some of you are willing to give it a try
We need more Nejisaku in our lives
Relationship: Neji/Sakura
Summary: She yearned his company, his voice, but she refused to believe it. Because love could break her in more ways than sex could. "And who am I really? Your bed buddy?! Be honest with me, why do you keep coming back?!" She had to hear it, she had to break her own heart first, so there wouldn't be anything left for him to break.
It's canon that Naruto is the sun and Sasuke the moon but has anyone thought of Sakura as the Earth? Here's my take on that :3

Reminds me of this
you’re not a real feminist if you don’t piss off both the left and the right
[ID: A Naruto comic. Madara looks nervously determined as he says to Hashirama, "I..." Flustered, he starts to stutter, "I.. I...!" Hashirama breaks in: " ...J, K, L, N, O, P." Madara looks shocked, and Hashirama is shown to have a comically serious expression as he continues, "Q, R, S, T, U, V..."
Madara, now shaded with equal dramatism, completes, "...W, X, Y, and Z." The last panel shows them holding hands and floating in a circle, flower petals fluttering around them. End ID]
“I could not stop wasting time. It was crazy. I wanted to do something with my life, but instead I went to sleep, or sung in the shower, or sat and stared at the wall. I couldn’t even tell you about anything that I saw. I didn’t talk to anybody. The cicadas kept dying outside, and as I dreamed, my mouth grew thick and venomous with silence.”
