My Kins; Part 3
Gin Ibushi (Your Turn To Die)
[CW: Mentions of a death game, bullying, slightly implied ableism]
This one is…a bit harder for me to explain, to be honest.
Starting with personality, Gin tries to remain positive and optimistic despite his situation. While he warms up to people easily, he can occasionally be sarcastic or blunt to them. He gets attached to those he meets easily. While he may be young, Gin always attempts his best to help the group by finding clues and remains strong despite the circumstances.
I…well, I mostly relate to this. I warm up to people easily, but I can still be sarcastic or blunt to them. I try my best to help others, despite whatever situation I’m in.
Similarly, Gin and I both love taking care of animals. That’s about the most I can say about this part, lol.
On the more serious side…
Gin and I both don’t like school for similar reasons.
According to the YTTD Wiki: “Gin doesn't like school because other kids poke fun at him, but he enjoys spending time with his friends. While Gin feels exposed without his outfit, he only wears it at home. Gin has a problem talking to other people without his usual clothes, which often gets mistaken for obedience. For a while before the Death Game, Gin was unable to go outside without his outfit.”
For me, I always felt insecure when I wasn’t wearing a hoodie of some kind. Without it, I find it extremely difficult to talk to other people. Hoodies make me feel comfortable, and I feel especially vulnerable without one. I often got teased because of this, and because of my autistic traits.
From the wiki once more; “Gin is autistic, which explains some of his traits. For example, he has shown verbal stims by putting "meow" and "woof" at the end of his sentences, has comfort objects such as Mew-chan and his clothes, and is hyper-fixated on animals.”
I also use verbal stims, mainly just referencing things I’ve found funny in the past. I also have a comfort object, that being a small plush moth keychain and a small Grim plush keychain! A couple of my hyper-fixations are Cinnamoroll and Red Pandas!
Gin is an only child. He cares a lot about his parents, his mother in particular. Even though they aren’t perfect (especially his dad), he still loves them. I’m also an only child, and I am especially close to both of my parents. I love them with all my heart, even when they aren’t the best parents they can be (which thankfully, isn’t often).
Overall, I feel a very big connection to Gin. It’s one of my biggest kins, even if I can’t explain it as well as some of the other ones.

Her daughter Rajaa was infected with hepatitis from malnutrition, her eldest son Hussein can no longer go to school, and her baby boy Youssef needs milk, diapers, and clean drinking water. Her husband, Ashraf suffered from a shoulder injury at the beginning of the war, and has lost his job because the place where he worked was destroyed—he worked as a math teacher at a school.
Noor's donation campaign is a testament to her strength and resilience. She struggles to communicate with me because of internet issues in Gaza, but has nonetheless conveyed this message, which I will now share with you:
"We will continue to live, continue to love, and continue to dream of a better tomorrow."
She loves her children, and thanks everyone who helps her. Please, she has raised only 24,270 / 40,000. I personally am so grateful to all who donated, but I will admit I am deeply saddened how much things have slowed. Like Noor, though, I believe in hope. I believe you can make a difference in her life, for her and her family.
