lovely story from a friend today.
The reason I love furry art in particular is that nature is brutal and also kind of stupid. Humans are ''supposed'' to be complex enough to go beyond base, brutish instincts but we kind of aren't. so you combine human features and animal features that both remove superficial humanity of humans and general brutishness of nature's cycles to get a creature that's removed from the worst of either, it keeps psychological human features to enhance relatability and expressiveness, so basically to enhance empathy, but now the senses are amplified and it looks removed enough visually to not read as completely human (so it also retains a sense of wonder from the viewer). it also has features of animals we find relatable, appealing etc. it's like an ideal being for expression, resonance, a feeling of comfort. a ''cure'' for the loneliness of human existence
Obsessed with that one shot of the broken moon, so I’m redrawing it

I actually ended up making it! It’s the greatest thing ever cuz I’m still pretty new to animating like this, but I put it on YT in case anyone’s interested
Been listening a lot to Sleep Token lately and I'm just imagining how cool this song for a Shadow AMV would be.
The temptation to turn this into another art project I won’t finish- 🥲

Finally gave Sonic Frontiers Final Horizon a go and so far I’m having kinda mixed feelings.

I’m excited we get to play as other characters again and exploring the island with them is pretty fun. But their gameplay feels a bit off? Unpolished? A lof of their platforming sections feel like I’m performing some kind of difficult glitch in an area I should be careful not to clip out of. I often feel pretty directionless too and only figure out things by accident. Or I find a way to fly over the challenge to skip it completely. This might just be me not having played for a while and being rusty, but after looking online, I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed quite a difficulty spike.
At first when I switched back to Sonic I felt relieved. The spin dash is really cool and I figured that since the game is mostly designed around him, I’d get less frustrated. That quickly changed once I started my climb on the first tower though. After maybe ten tries or so I decided to put the game away for the time being cuz of getting too frustrated.
I don’t mind a challenge every now and then, but if I keep going “just gotta get through this and then we’re back in the flow again” over and over without getting in that flow again somewhere in between, that’s not fun to me. I really wanna enjoy playing this, but I dunno if that’s possible if the entire DLC keeps feeling like that for me
I keep forgetting to upload my art here QwQ Anyhow, artfight attack for @zeezu-ix!
