“is this character good or bad” “is this ship unproblematic or not” “is this arc deserving of redemption or not” girl…
that some people respond to any well-foreshadowed reveal with “ugh that plot twist was so predictable” proves bad faith criticism has rotted their brains to the point they think it’s bad writing if they can correctly identify information the writers were intentionally giving them
It's so crazy how "Don't feed the trolls" was like the Motto of the internet & in forum culture of the 00s and early 10s and now you log onto a certain website and it's just an endless sea of people pouring gruel into the troll trough day in day out and no one seems to realize or care that their internet experience being a constant deluge of misery and bad faith discussion might in fact be their own fault

"The whole film is a jigsaw puzzle of locations in Rome and studio builds. We built the elements of the Sistine Chapel with the amazing craftsmen at Cinecittà and the rooms and corridors of the Casa Santa Marta. This film is about juxtapositions between what we think we know and what we don’t. We discussed playing with those elements to create a more dramatic visual story. Rome is beautiful with amazing ornate architecture, but it also has contemporary architecture that we decided to play with. The feminine shapes and gold, softer side were juxtaposed against hard black lines, and the whites, blues, and blacks against the gold and rich reds." — Suzie Davies, Production Designer for CONCLAVE (2024).
don't mind me just getting emotional about the way art makes echoes and like lenore's bravery saving lives in the years to come, edgar allen poe's art, which was inspired by the artists before him, inspires art that will inspire art that will inspire art –– that forms a bloodline of its own, traceable for history and far more lasting than money ever could be.
Lucile and Vincent! they are the main characters of my little gothic story 😊
A step by step process of these will be available at my Patreon on october 1st
