Hello, My name is Mosab Elderawi, and I live in Gaza with my family. Life here has become harder than I ever imagined, and I’m writing this with hope in my heart that you might hear our story.
The ongoing war has devastated my family. We’ve lost 25 family members—each one a beloved part of our lives, taken too soon. I miss them deeply—their laughter, their presence, their love. Every day is a reminder of this unimaginable loss.

We are now facing daily challenges to survive—things that most people take for granted, like food, clean water, and a safe place to sleep. The harsh realities of life here have replaced our dreams with the constant fight for survival.
💔 Lost Stability: The war has left us without work or a stable source of income. 🍞 Basic Needs: Food and water are becoming harder to afford with rising prices and scarce resources. 📚 Dreams on Hold: Like so many here, my family’s dreams have been replaced by the need to simply survive. 😢 Unimaginable Loss: Losing 25 loved ones has left a void that can never be filled.
I’m sharing our story with the hope that someone out there might care. Even $5 can make a big difference for us, and if you’re unable to donate, just reblogging this post can help spread the word.
Your kindness, no matter how small, is something we’ll never forget.
Your support is not about changing our entire situation—it’s about giving us a little relief, a little hope, and a way to keep going. We are not asking for much, and we understand if you can’t donate. Sharing our story is just as valuable to us as a donation.
Thank you for reading this far. It means the world to us to know that someone is listening. Your kindness gives us strength and helps us believe in a better tomorrow.
With all our gratitude, Mosab Elderawi and Family ❤️

Chapter 2 - Y/n has no idea where she is (half written, half smau)
There are three things Y/n knows for certain:
1.) Danielle is her best friend
2.) Her favorite color is pink
3.) And the seven guys showing up in her dreams are both creepy and hot as hell
When Y/n starts college at her dream university, Decelis Academy, her dreams start to creep their way into reality. Things that are hidden come to light and she starts wishing some would have just stayed in the shadows.
Alternatively, you’re thrown into a world of supernatural beings. Are they friends, foes, or lovers? The choice is yours.

Y/n shoved her phone in her pocket and looked at her class schedule. Chemistry 101 with Ms. Wong; Room 303: Science Building. The words were practically burned into her memory by now. As soon as the friend group had gotten here they all split up pretty immediately, that was the downside of not having any similar majors. Y/n signed heavily.
“I definitely should’ve payed more attention when I toured here.” She spoke to herself. She began to glance around, hoping to see one of the tour guides who had guided her around her first time here. However she couldn’t spot anyone she even remotely recognized.
Just as she was about to give up she spotted a boy lugging around the same chem book that was safely tucked away in her backpack. Y/n shook off her social nerves before quietly approaching the boy who was typing something on his phone.
“Hey sorry to bother you but can you help me find the science building? My chem class starts in 15 minutes and I have no idea where I’m going.” Y/n asked tapping the taller boys shoulder.
The boy stopped looking at his phone to glance at the girl. ‘Damn he’s really cute’ Y/n thought, her cheeks starting to heat up. But the more she looked at him the more familiar he looked.
“Oh don’t worry about it I was just heading there now. My name is Sunoo by the way.” He chirped sticking out his hand for Y/n to shake.
Y/n grabbed his hand with little to no hesitation. “I’m Y/n.”
“Nice to meet you Y/n. Now we better get going I’ve heard Ms. Wong is a real stickler to students who are late.”

Chapter 4 - A Real Catch (mostly written, some smau)
There are three things Y/n knows for certain:

2.) Her favorite color is pink
3.) And the seven guys showing up in her dreams are both creepy and hot as hell

“Stupid freaking chemistry…” Y/n muttered to herself. Two weeks into her first semester at Decelis and her greatest enemy had already become her chemistry teacher. Ms. Wong had decided as a fun little ice breaker to assign a lab to seat partners. The one good part of this was the fact that Sunoo was her seat partner which meant at least she already felt comfortable with the person she had to go through this torture with. Sunoo had agreed to meet her at the library so they could choose a topic and start creating an outline.
Before he got to the library, Y/n had decided to grab a few chem books to explore different topics to pick out a few of the easier ones. After all, Y/n still had a lot of other science classes to deal with, chemistry needed to be an easy route. Y/n peered at the tall bookshelf filled with chem books and started to rifle through a couple. When literally none of them held any semblance of the projects Ms. Wong wanted them to do, Y/n just opened her phone and googled the best books with easy projects. “Design and Analysis of Experiments with R, by John Lawson” was the first book that came up after her quick Google search, ‘that’ll have to work’, Y/n thought turning her attention back to scanning the books on the bookshelf. Finally, she spotted the big red book on one of the upper shelves. Y/n looked down at her legs and looked back up at the bookshelf. ‘why the hell did they make these shelves so high'?
Y/n looked around the corner, trying to find anyone tall enough to help her reach the book or even a worker who might be able to find a copy on a more closer to reach shelf, but alas there was no one around. Out of the corner of her eye Y/n saw a ladder on wheels that she moved over to the chemistry bookshelf. As she began climbing up the ladder, she began to question the integrity of the wood.
‘This doesn’t feel the sturdiest but I’m already almost to the book. Please ladder just last a few more seconds’ she pleaded with the universe. Just as she reached for the red book a resonating crack came from below her feet and Y/n came crashing down.
Jungwon didn’t go to the library often unless he couldn’t avoid it period. However when Riki begged and pleaded for Jungwon to pick up a book he needed for one of his art history classes, he decided he couldn’t refuse especially when Riki promised that he would pay for Jungwons cafe orders all week.
When Jungwon entered the library, he greeted the librarian, as he normally did whenever he was here, with a smile before beelining it to the arts section.
The quickest way to get to the arts section of the library was to cut through the science section. Jungwon walked past the social science books, his eyes filtering through the different titles. He would probably need a few of these the more he progressed into his major. As he walked through, he could hear the creaks of wood coming from the physics and chemistry books. The more intently he tried to listen, the more his vampy senses would pick up. He could hear the short breaths coming from someone who was certainly struggling. From the strawberry nodes that tainted the natural scent of the person the more Jungwon was inclined to believe that whoever was struggling to do god knows what, was a girl.
However, Jungwon decided to ignore it. If they needed help they would certainly have tried to ask for it besides he wanted to grab whatever Riki needed and just get out of there.
Suddenly the sound of wood snapping tunneled through Jungwons ears and the faint scream the followed triggered Jungwon to act according and….teleport to the person falling.
Y/n thought many things as she skidded down the ladder book in hand and heart dropped all the way down to her stomach.
1.) She was never going to hear the end of this from Danielle
2.) Yunjin was going to laugh her ass off as soon as Y/n told them
3.) Mark is going to insist she go to a hospital to make sure nothings broken
And 4.) Hanni will never let her go anywhere without her
The chemistry book that Y/n was gripping on to, slipped from her hand and collided with her nose. ‘fuck’ was the only thing that Y/n could perceive as she got closer and closer to hitting the ground.
The ground that never came. Y/n had already braced herself for the worst impact by the time she had felt herself cradled perfectly in someone’s arms.
When the book clamoring with the ground had finally resonated through Y/n ears, she decided to open her eyes. She hadn’t even realized she had closed them. As she opened her eyes she noticed that an arm was securely wrapped around her waist and another were positioned below her legs. Y/n looked up at her savior to find possibly the cutest boy she has ever seen.
“Ummm hi?” Y/n spoke. Her voice coming out as only a meek whisper.
“Hi,” Jungwon breathed out, his eyes fixated on Y/n’s watery ones. The girl hadn't even realized she had begun to tear up.
Y/n could have gotten lost in his eyes forever until she felt a stream come out of her nose and her hand drifted towards it. Blood. ‘Just great’
“I should really probably bring you to the medical building to get you checked out. You took a nasty fall and your nose is bleeding quite a bit.” Jungwon said still not letting go of the girl in his arms.
“You’re probably right,” Y/n said dropping her legs from Jungwons hold.
“Don’t worry I’ll walk to there, who knows you might have a concussion.” “That’s probably a good idea thank you.”
Jungwon leaned down to grab the book that the girl has practically risked her life for and guided her towards the libraries exit. ‘Riki’s book is just gonna have to wait’.
a/n: moon dividers came from firefly-graphics and they look fantastic!
a/n 2: Y/n has finally met Jungwon!

Wearing Kippahs in the colors of the Palestinian flag…Jews rally in support of Gaza
Am I the only one terrified of talking first when it comes making moots?? Like the E in my ENFP is really lacking 😭😭😭
Dear Humanity,
I'm Haya from Gaza , from a family of 8 people: my parents, two sons, and four daughters (two of them suffer from allergies).
I've witnessed the evidence of the tragedy that has struck our lives in Gaza, where my family and I have survived amidst numerous previous wars. But today, we face the most dangerous and fierce battle in the current war. The urgent need intensifies for us, as we have nothing left and are unable to secure our basic needs such as food, water, and safe shelter.
Here is our story - On October 7th, our lives changed forever, my family and I evacuated from northern Gaza to southern Gaza, hoping to return soon, but it wasn't meant to be. Our home was surrounded, burned, and then completely destroyed, Our home, once a fortress of hope, now lay in ruins, a stark reminder of our shattered dreams.
The night before we left from the north to the south was terrifying. Shelling sounds were everywhere, making a loud noise that felt like it went through our souls. Every explosions shook the ground like earthquakes, sending shockwaves of fear through our trembling bodies. filling us with fear. The air smelled of destruction and blood, making it hard to breathe. When dawn came, we saw the devastation around us, realizing our home was now a symbol of loss and despair.
We ran into the streets and with each step we took into the unknown streets, we felt as if we were plunging deeper into the abyss of our shattered existence, leaving behind everything we own in our home: Clothes, important official documents, the car, and literally it's almost everything - the enormity of our loss weighed heavily upon us.
Our home it was where we found hope, safety, and made precious memories. Losing it felt like losing years of our lives, leaving us adrift amidst the wreckage of our shattered existence.
A brief video depicting the devastation that struck our home and our entire neighborhood in Gaza.
Desperate Plea: Escaping Gaza's Allergy Nightmare
I, Haya, suffer from severe allergy to penicillin-derived medications, and my sister, Amal, also suffers from severe allergies to medications from my family such as Paracetamol and Ibuprofen.
These allergies create a deep sense of fear and anxiety for us, as we live in a constant state of tension and fear of anything that may require a visit to the hospital. We fear being given inappropriate medications due to the unavailability of suitable treatments in Gaza because of war or lack of awareness and not informing the doctor of our allergies, which could lead to serious consequences threatening our lives.
MY Father Income
Our dreams are heading towards oblivion in the labyrinth of an uncertain future
My story, along with my siblings, represents a united team of four individuals, three of whom are skilled programmers and one graphic designer. We work as freelancers in the world of freelancing.
As for my younger sister, she is a student studying at the College of Architecture. She has always carried a big dream in her heart, a dream of being part of changing Gaza, of making it more beautiful and better. She looked forward to the day when she would receive her degree and start building this dream. But the beginning of the war changed everything. The destruction of infrastructure and universities cast shadows of despair over her dreams.
When I think of my brother in Belgium, I can't help but feel deep sadness. He has been suffering from unbearable anxiety and insomnia since the outbreak of the war. Sleep eludes him at night, and his physical and mental health collapses under the weight of these heavy burdens, negatively affecting his performance at work. Problems and challenges pile up in front of him without the slightest opportunity for rest.
We all feel psychological pressure and extreme anxiety. The war hasn't been limited to external attacks but has deeply infiltrated our daily lives. We search among the rubble for a little safety and the basic resources for survival. Every day comes with a new challenge that we must overcome.
As we sway amidst the rubble of shattered dreams, our souls wrestle and our hearts beat strongly challenging the ravages of war.
Our parents earnestly seek a way to rescue us from this hell, feeling the heavy responsibility for every moment we spend under the shadows of fear and destruction. They dream of a safe place where they can build for us a better future, filled with security and hope, for we deserve life in all its meanings of comfort and peace.
Perhaps this fundraising campaign represents a light in the midst of darkness, it is indeed the only hope we cling to firmly.
I appeal to the world as a whole to hear my cry and the mournful cry of my family in Gaza. We need the helping hand that reaches out to wipe our tears and build a bridge to safety.
Your donation is not just a donation; it's an opportunity to rebuild life and brighten a better tomorrow. Be part of our hopeful story, for we need your hand to start anew.
The purpose of the fundraising campaign
The goal of this fundraising campaign is to rescue my family - my parents, my siblings, and me - through the Rafah Crossing to Egypt, which currently requires $5000 per person. This campaign is our only chance to stay alive, and I humbly request your assistance at this critical time. I will provide you with a comprehensive breakdown of the expenses, committing to transparency and clarity.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
.جزاكم الله خيراً
yours sincerely;
Haya Alshawish.

Hello everyone,
My name is Walaa, and I currently reside in Germany. I am reaching out on behalf of my family, who are facing dire circumstances in Gaza. It was with much hesitation and after considerable thought that I decided to ask for your help. The gravity of their situation compels me to seek urgent assistance in evacuating my family from Gaza to a safer place.
I am Roba, and I want to share with you the story of me and my family.
We lived a stable and dignified life, owning a beautiful house. Their modest jobs provided for our basic needs and fulfilled our aspirations for a better future. Despite the challenges in Gaza, such as the siege, electricity crisis, and limited job opportunities, we managed to lead a stable life where basic necessities were accessible. However, the onset of war has shattered our world, leaving us displaced from our home and struggling to survive amidst unimaginable hardships.
Since October 7th, due to the continuous bombing of Gaza, we were forced to leave our home and move to the southern regions, where we are facing extremely difficult humanitarian conditions. Our situation in Rafah is tragic, as we suffer from a severe shortage of food, water, and basic necessities for a decent human life. We are experiencing great difficulty in obtaining drinking water and water for daily use. Additionally, there is a significant lack of health services, which exacerbates our daily suffering. The harsh weather conditions make daily life even more complicated and difficult
Amidst this brutal war, we endure not only the continuation of the war but also the relentless onslaught of diseases spreading due to unhealthy conditions, the biting cold seeping into our bones and high temperature in summer , hunger due to food shortages, and the suffering of drinking unpurified water.
Furthermore, my heart aches for my father, who battles both diabetes and arthritis. Finding medication for him amidst the chaos has become an agonizing challenge during these long, harrowing months.
The devastation has left us without shelter, food, or clean water. We have lost everything – our home, our humble jobs, and our dreams for a better future. We now find ourselves among the countless displaced individuals, struggling to survive amidst the chaos with an uncertain future looming ahead.
My home before:Our beautiful sanctuary, filled with love and beauty in every corner.
After:
Remnants of our destroyed home and dreams:
Compounding our plight is the financial burden of escaping Gaza. Coordinators in Egypt, authorized to add our names to the list at the border, are now demanding between $7,000 and $8,000 per person – a sum we simply cannot afford on our own. They will not add the names until we can prove that we have the money ready. As our situation worsens by the day, the need for assistance becomes increasingly urgent.
Now, I find myself at a point of helplessness and desperation. I urgently and humbly ask for your help to save the lives of my family by getting us out of Gaza. The situation in Gaza has become untenable due to slow deaths from hunger, dehydration, displacement, the spread of diseases, and the ongoing bombings.
In addition to the dire circumstances we face, we've lost everything: our home, our humble jobs, and our dreams. Everything was destroyed in Gaza. There is no longer life, no suitable places for living, and no work. The basic necessities of a decent human life are no longer available. So we want to start our life from scratch again, in another place, knowing that not everything will be destroyed in an instant. Trying to rebuild our present and restore our dreams of building a better future which were destroyed during this war. Your donation is not just a lifeline for us; it's our only chance at survival.
As the conflict in Gaza persists, the situation at the Rafah crossing has taken a dire turn. Unfortunately, the crossing, which was our only hope for safe passage out of Rafah to Egypt, has been closed indefinitely due to ongoing challenges. This unexpected development has left us stranded, unable to proceed with our evacuation plans.
The situation has only worsened with the ongoing events in Rafah, which have forced us into displacement yet again. Our suffering has deepened. Now, we find ourselves living in tent, enduring inhumane conditions. The searing high temperatures make daily life unbearable. Insects are a constant menace, creating a suitable environment for the spread of diseases. This, coupled with the lack of health services, further exacerbates our plight. We lack the most basic necessities of human life.We are forced to use salty, impure seawater, laden with dirt and unsuitable for daily human use. Even our drinking water, which should be pure and fresh, is salty. Additionally, we must walk long distances to access any water, whether it is drinking water or seawater. These are inhumane and undignified living conditions that are beyond imagination. Such a life only adds to our suffering.
However, despite this setback, our determination to secure a safer future for our loved ones remains unwavering. We are committed to continuing our efforts to collect donations, knowing that even after the war ends, the challenges of rebuilding our lives in Gaza will be immense. We hold onto the hope that if the situation at the crossing changes or alternative routes become available, we will be ready to seize the opportunity to move forward.
Therefore, I humbly appeal to your generosity once again. Your contributions are not only crucial for our immediate evacuation but also for our long-term goal of building a better life outside the war-torn Gaza Strip. Together, we can overcome the obstacles before us and pave the way for a brighter future for my family.
To facilitate our evacuation from Gaza to Egypt, we've initiated this GoFundMe campaign with the goal of raising $60,000 USD. Here's how the funds will be allocated:
- The expenses related to obtaining permits to cross the Gaza-Egypt border at "Rafah" are significant. Each individual in our family: my parents and siblings (Roba, Sahar, Ibrahim, Ahmad, and Mahmoud), requires coordination for leaving Gaza to Egypt, at a cost of $8,000 per person. Therefore, the $40,000 goal represents the collective amount needed to cover the coordination expenses for all five family members.
- The remaining funds will be used to cover the costs of basic necessities of life, including renting a modest house to live in, purchasing food, and medications for diabetes and arthritis.
- We will coordinate with Ya Hala Company in Egypt, which is responsible for facilitating the exit from Gaza to Egypt, once we've collected the required amount for permits.
I am reaching out to you in desperation, seeking your assistance to alleviate our suffering. Your donation is not just a lifeline for us; it's our only chance at survival. With your support, we hope to escape this nightmare and rebuild our lives beyond the confines of war and destruction.
Every contribution, regardless of its size, holds immense significance for us. Please open your hearts and join us on our journey towards safety and a renewed sense of hope. Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
Sincerely,
Roba
